The Eleventh Hour so far has my favorite storytelling from Griffin! So here’s a pseudo-movie poster ehuehueue

Had to do another illustration for our Fantasy Illust class and our prof gave me the go signal to draw TAZ again as long as I found good face refs for them. B^) I based Magnus, Taako and Merle on John Spainhour, Paul Boche, and Brian Cox respectively!

It seems like everyone’s asking you to contact your government representatives to voice your opinion these days, but what does that really mean?

Can your phone call or letter really make a difference? (Hint: yes, it really can.)

In today’s SPARK video (link), Jackson Bird goes behind the scenes of a congressional office with US Senator Jack Reed and his staffers to talk about why voters’ voices matter and share some tips on what to expect when you contact your representatives.

Today’s challenge? Find your senator’s contact info (link) and reach out to them to share your opinion on the American Healthcare Act, which recently passed in the House and Representatives and could cause 24 million Americans to become uninsured. Let us know how it goes!

I get annoyed with people who say that 13 reason why glorifies ‘mental illnesses’ when the show really shows the negative aspects of our society and reality. There are other tv shows and movies that show graphic scenes and depression triggering parts. People always hate on something that is popular. Plus, the teenagers who watched the show and have imitated hannah by cutting themselfs shouldnt be watching the show in the first place because it already WARNED people. And blame their parents, not the tv production.

Congratulations to BTS on winning Top Social Artist!!!

If you are like me and don’t like talking on the phone, here’s a really easy way to get a message to your members of Congress! It’s called ResistBot. Text ‘Resist’ to 50409 and follow the instructions. It’s really simple, and quick! I did it in about 10 minutes, but it could take 5 for some people. I sent a fax to each of my Senators, and tomorrow ResistBot is going to text me a reminder to send a fax to my Representatives!

you: im so soft… so gentle.. soft heart bab,y..uw..u.. smol

me: *saunters into the room and sits down in the most obnoxious way possible, putting my legs up on the counter and spreading them out (smashing multiple glasses in the process) while leaning back and resting my head on my arms (which i am flexing slightly in order to show off my muscles in a display of dominance)* heh…

How Every Member Voted on the House Health Care Bill
The House voted on Thursday on a revised health care bill that would repeal and replace major parts of the Affordable Care Act.
By Gregor Aisch, Sarah Almukhtar, Wilson Andrews, Jeremy Bowers, Nate Cohn, K.K. Rebecca Lai, Jasmine C. Lee, Alicia Parlapiano, Adam Pearce, Nadja Popovich, Kevin Quealy, Rachel Shorey and Anjali Singhvi

Here are the receipts. Remember who said yes. Remember and vote them out. They made sure THEY had protections because of their positions while screwing over millions of us. All seats in the House will be up for election in 2018.

 Vote them OUT in 2018.

And the institutional coddling of white racists under the Trump administration continues.

This excerpt is *important* for context:

Speaking to reporters, [Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-IL)] expressed anger about what had happened.

“I’ve been here 25 years and I’ve never been told by the Speaker of the House that I can’t attend a meeting I’ve requested,” he fumed.

The speaker of the house PAUL RYAN is facilitating a system of racism and oppression when he chooses to bar Representatives of color, their colleagues, from voicing their concerns about racist acts.

As we can see the decision to prevent notably outspoken and critical voices of color from attending the meeting they requested goes against 25 years of precedent. Ryan is GOING out of his way and ignoring precedent because the feelings of sensitive white racism is too valuable.

Crowdfunding campaign aims to unseat virulently sexist r/RedPill creator and state rep Robert Fisher

  • Claire Everhart, a woman based in Washington, D.C., is determined to unseat New Hampshire representative and virulent misogynist Robert Fisher in 2018.
  • Last month, the Daily Beast unmasked Fisher as the founder of The Red Pill, a subreddit for men’s rights activists and pick-up artists to join together in their hatred of women.
  • Fisher, who reportedly goes by Pk_atheist on the site, has made comments mocking women’s “subpar intelligence” and decrying the feminist movement for stripping men — particularly fathers and husbands — of their rights.
  • The worst of his comments was posted in 2008, when Fisher argued that rape isn’t an “absolute bad.”
  • “I’m going to say it — rape isn’t an absolute bad, because the rapist I think probably likes it a lot,” Fisher wrote at the time. “I think he’d say it’s quite good, really.”
  • Everhart’s heard enough. This week, she launched a campaign on CrowdPac to crowdfund a future female candidate’s campaign against Fisher in the midterm elections. Read more (5/3/17)
