*Sorry for the long post, not my usual deal, but this was too good a thing not to share, and too good a point not to make.*

Superman is not just a guy who can fly and is super strong who punches things to death. He considers all life precious, even the life of villains. And he cares very deeply for not just his friends and family, but all people. Clark Kent is mortal, he makes mistakes, he makes bad choices sometimes. He has worries, and fears. He’s hardly “perfect”. But what he is, is a symbol. He stands for something. And in a real world gone increasingly wrong, we need what he stands for worse than ever. The real world badly needs a Superman.

And that is why the depiction of Superman in the “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman” sucks. Because those movies show a Clark Kent who is selfish, who is brash and reckless, who charges into battle, kills enemies, and destroys property, endangering innocent lives without a second thought. They depict a Clark Kent who barely ever saves anyone. He’s not a hero. And that’s not who Superman is. Superman is a hero, the epitome of a hero. He does what’s right, even though what’s right is rarely ever easy. Doing what’s right has cost Clark a lot.

But Clark helps people, he stands up for the little guy. He doesn’t just save millions from alien invasions and natural disasters. He helps the homeless woman on the street. He helps a kid who’s kitten is in a tree. He takes the time to talk to a stranger who just might be thinking of jumping to their death. Superman loves saving people, because he loves people, he has a lot of compassion and empathy. And THAT’S the difference. What these panels show, illustrates perfectly the kind of person that Clark Kent is. The Clark in those new Superman films, would never even bother with this.

Locker Room*

Pairing: Chris Evans x Reader
Rating: Explicit
Summary: There’s no real plot, maybe Reader wants to fool around in a locker room. Once again, this poor summary does not reflect my writing in general, I hope. Bear with me, please.
Words Count: 2.7k
Genre: NSFW/SMUT - 18+
Warnings: Smutty gifs, swearing, dirty talking, oral sex (both receiving), Chris being a butt guy (?), fingering and protected sex in a locker room, I guess.

“Seriously Chris, why would you work out so late?” You whined, throwing your gym bag at the back of the car as you popped in, sitting next to him.

“Listen, we both like this gym and this hour is the best time slot.” Your boyfriend huffed out a laugh, pecking your cheek and you buckled up the passenger seat belt.

“There are other interesting ways to do exercises,” you wiggled your eyebrows, wandering your fingertips along his thigh and he rolled his eyes, starting the car. “If you do this to preserve your privacy then think about wearing something else than a cap. This became so obvious it’s Chris Evans hiding under.”

“Always hilarious, Y/N,” he looked at the road, driving through Los  Angeles and you leaned your head against the seat, setting your running shoes on the dash. “You know it’s the job, I’m starting to film Infinity War in a couple of months now.”

“Really, I had no idea… Captain Fucking Obvious.” Your eyes stared straight through the window as he glanced at you with his eyebrows furrowed, giving you his special look he used whenever you used sarcasm and a small laugh slipped through your lips.

Once you’d finally reached the gym club opened at night, you both headed towards the different locker rooms and you got rid of your bag and jacket. You finally joined your boyfriend in the room - with some other people - and you saw him already working out as he focused on the upper part of his body.

You smiled and as Chris sent you a wink, you tried to leave this glorious sight of him flexing his biceps, grunting lightly or tensing his back so much that you could’ve drawn the muscles through his T-shirt. You couldn’t help but internally gush over how very handsome he looked like this and how sexy his athletic outfit embraced all his muscles tightening then relaxing.

Shaking your head slightly, you chose to concentrate the hard work on your legs for the night and you climbed on your favorite device, trying to forget the thoughts flying above your mind.

It’s important to understand, whether it’s growing up with women, whether it’s growing up with other ethnic groups, it’s important to experience anything different from what you know. To encourage and cultivate compassion and understanding…So certainly growing up with women helped me, but growing up in the theatre helped me, growing up in a progressive community helped me. I think it’s really important to put faces to the situations that we’re navigating as society… So yeah, growing up with sisters was a big influence for me, and I have a deep connection to not only human rights but specifically women’s rights.
    —  Chris Evans on his activism

Times like these we need Star Trek more than ever. It’s not just a show. It’s a collection of ideals, and the most central of these ideals is simply “we are better than this. Humanity is better than this. And someday we’ll act like it.”

I’m so desperate for that hope right now.

Your wedding day with Chris Evans would involve:

    • Chris worrying about everything, but his brother is here to tell him he’s already a happy man and he’s going to marry the love of his life.
    • Your mom crying when she sees you in your wedding dress, holding the bouquet.
    • Being surprised that you’ve both left notes to one another, claiming your love once again.
    • While walking down the aisle, Chris can’t take his eyes off you, smiling and your lower lip trembles as he is on the verge of tears.
    • - “I promise you, I will take care of your daughter and maker her happy, sir.”
     - “You better, Evans. My eyes are on you.”
     - “Dad!”
    • Never stopping smiling to each other and you both catch yourselves almost leaning to kiss before you are allowed to.
    • Chris whispering you are very beautiful in your ear during the entire ceremony and day… and night. Actually, he can’t stop himself from saying it to everyone around him.
    • When the rings pass through your fingers and you’re officially pronounced husband and wife, Chris pulls you to him in a longing kiss and you think the world around you can collapse, you would never feel anywhere safer than in his arms.
    • Basically, you have to stop kissing because of Scott’s whistles and the groomsmen decide to join, leaving Chris blushing.
    • His family being so proud and very happy he settles down with someone like you.
    • Holding hands all the time, caressing your rings as a reminder this day isn’t a dream.
    • The reception isn’t as you planned, but what you want more is here. Your families and friends are there to make the dinner very entertaining.
    • Endless teasing from them during the best man’s speech. His best man doesn’t even hesitate to show some embarrassing and funny candid shots of you two.
    • Chris calling you ‘Mrs. Evans’ with this adorable boyish grin on his face and you can’t help but kiss his cheek, giggling every time.
    • - “Nice butt you have here, handsome.”
    • Forehead kisses.
    • Lots of fun and laughs.
    • Lots of soft, slow and meaningful kisses.
    • For the first dance, your husband brings you to his chest and holds you close. He loves the way the lights shine on your skin and the way you look at him.
    • You almost step on his toes, but as a good dancer (like Lisa has taught him), Chris tells you that’s very cute and he definitely made the right choice, marrying you.
    • The big party follows up and you just dance like nothing else matters in this world, never leaving each other more than five minutes.
    • - “Is that real?”
     - “Y/N, we’re married. I’m the realest person you’ve ever met. And you’re stuck with me for the rest of your life.”
    • You both try to stay sober because you want to remember every second of this night.
     - “Baby, stop drinking!”
     - “Yeah, Chris, remember what’s happening tonight!”
    • Cutting the cake and sharing a piece together. This ends pretty dramatically funny.
    • You keep twirling, dipping and moving your hips until you can’t feel your feet anymore.
    • Scott wiggling his eyebrows, giving you a knowing look when you’re about to leave the reception to your house.
    • Once at home with your husband, Chris sweeps you off your feet and carries you to your bedroom, gently settling you on the bed with his eyes glowing with pure love.
