the rag and bone shop

“You’re a bastard,” she spat, without thinking. “Just like your f a t h e r.”

Draco stiffened. A brief flicker of emotion darkened his eyes: it could have been hurt or rage, or simple surprise. Then it was gone. “Actually,” he said, and his voice was bitter, “I’m a bastard in a way that’s entirely my own.”

SCAW Appreciation Post 2

Is another amazing writer and a good friend of mine. Her works are always wonderfully well written. Her fic Indelible is an excellent and new take on an old trope.

Is a great writer who should definitely write more, and who I love talking to when our time zones don’t tear us apart. Suit Up is an excellent fic from her.

Is another person who is kept from me by terrible timezones, but I always enjoy reading her works and Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing is adorable and hilarious.

Seth is one of the nicest people in fandom. I always look forward to talking to him and he is always so supportive of creatives and leaves the best comments on fics <3 You’ve Been Talking In Your Sleep is very sweet and cuddly.

@dialmformaledictions is a very poetic writer without whom I wouldn’t know many of the wonderful people in the TW fandom. Our king of prose, his fic The Foul Rag and Bone Shop is one of my all time favorites.

Here’s the definition of “wildness” offered by Robert Bly in his book, The Rag and Bone Shop of the Heart: To be wild is not to be crazy like a criminal or psychotic, but “mad as the mist and snow.” It has nothing to do with being childish or primitive, nor does it manifest as manic rebellion or self-damaging alienation.

The marks of wildness, Bly says, are a love of nature, a delight in silence, a voice free to say spontaneous things, and a vivacious curiosity in the face of the unknown.

“Please be careful,” she said. Draco looked almost amused. “It’s nice that you’re concerned.”
Ginny’s next words came out of her mouth without any foreknowledge on her part that she was about to speak them. “I am concerned,” she said. “I love you.”
His head jerked up and he stared at her, an expression of absolute astonishment on his face. She stared back. She would have thought she would be fighting to keep her expression neutral, but really she only felt very calm. She had said it. Let him do with it whatever he wanted. Although really, he must have known. How could he not? When he replied, it was with only one word, and not the one she was expecting. “Why?”

She should have been firm. She should have told him to go. It was a bad idea, him being here in her room. What if Lily had a nightmare and came looking for Mummy? What if Harry did hear them? Or worse, what if Ron did? But she was tired, dammit. She was tired of her own family acting like she was the villain. As if she’d broken poor Harry’s heart – which she bloody well hadn’t, thank you very much. Never mind her own heart, which had been ignored in the process. And with Draco… Merlin help her, but he made her feel that spark she’d been missing – only it wasn’t a spark at all. It was an inferno burning hot. She might go down in flames with it, but selfishly, she didn’t c a r e. [x]

Do you have any Peter/Stiles fics that fit the song "guys my age" by Hey Violet?

I have never heard of Hey Violet. But I love this song! Thanks for sharing. I went with an age difference theme. - Anastasia

Some, of course, are off limits. Queen Talia and her husband have their special favorites who join their marriage bed from time to time. Laura has several young strapping men that are hers and hers alone. Even Derek has a few favorites—the quiet ones, the sweet ones.

Peter? The Duke only has one.

After the sacrifice and committing to becoming Scott’s Emissary, Stiles begins to suffer the effects of the Nemeton to the point that it becomes so dangerous he needs a physical and emotional anchor or he might just destroy the world. It has to be a werewolf, more importantly one with the age and experience to help him control his wild emotions and bring him back into balance. There’s really only one choice.

“Stiles. Did I just watch you sell that man a hex-bag full of crushed caffeine pills and rocks from our own parking lot?”

“I threw in some sage too.”

Stiles may have lost his job and his place as Alan’s Mastery student, but at least his former teacher had the decency to set up an introduction to Peter Hale, werewolf and necromancer.

It looked like Stiles wasn’t as done forming impossible infatuations on his teachers as he thought.

(At least this time he’s legal.)

Do You Like to Hurt? (Then Hurt Me) by taylorpotato

Alpha&Omega by Mellow (SweetCandy)

(6/? I 55,779 I Explicit)

He didn’t miss the feeling of a warm body in his bed, he didn’t wish for someone who would greet him at the doorstep when he came home after a long day of work, or who would bid him goodbye with a soft kiss.

Peter didn’t want his home smelling like a mixture of his musky, dark alpha scent and a sweet, playful omega scent. He didn’t long to hear the sound of small feet running around the house, calling him Daddy or Papa and demanding to get ice cream for dinner or not having to go to kindergarten because it was stupid.

No, he didn’t want kids, he didn’t want a relationship and most importantly: he didn’t want a fucking omega.

Or: Peter Hale, successful businessman and Alpha werewolf, doesn’t want an Omega no matter how much his sister urges him to finally claim a mate. He has never been interested in an Omega.
At least until he runs into one Stiles Stilinski at his nephew’s birthday party, who falls for him in more than just one way.

Twice in one day - AGAIN

Louis went shopping with Danielle, Oli & Savannah in Venice yesterday and they were papped. SURPRISE!

What’s that bag Louis is carrying?

Oh, it’s a rag & bone bag.

Louis & Oli then got papped later that night at the Nice Guy in West Hollywood where Louis was wearing not 1 but 2 pieces of rag & bone clothing.

What happened:

  1. Louis gets papped shopping in the afternoon Tuesday, May 10th, in Venice including walking down the street, in the street, getting into his car and smoking outside his car at various points during the trip
  2. Louis went to the rag & bone store while shopping in Venice
  3. Several hours later, Louis gets papped again arriving to the Nice Guy in West Hollywood
  4. Again, Louis gets papped leaving the kitchen of the Nice Guy
  5. Louis is wearing 2 new pieces of rag & bone clothing at the Nice Guy

What seems to have happened here is that Louis knew he’d get papped the second time so he wore his rag & bone items because he was probably comped under the agreement he’d be seen in them.

But some people still believe Louis is being papped without any prior knowledge it was going to happen. He isn’t calling them or being told where and when to go somewhere to get papped by someone else on his team who sets it up. He’s just a really unlucky celebrity who has been found in Calabasas, Venice, West Hollywood and Santa Monica (and other places).

And on at least 2 occasions in the last 4 weeks, he’s been “found” in totally different parts of Los Angeles on the same day!

He’s just so unlucky! How hard to be so famous!

Hi! I'm soooooo in love with your blog! As I know you live in NYC, I'd like to know if you have any suggestions on where I can go shopping there.. not in obvious shopping malls, but more like cool, less touristy shops. Thanks in advance for your reply! 😘

Hi! Thank you so much!

So, if I actually typed out a whole list of places, I could be here forever, so I’ll suggest you a couple of places to start. If I were you, I’d do some deep research before you arrive.

Soho/Noho/Nolita - Higher-end dope ish, not only like Chanel and Gucci (that’s 5th Ave./Madison) but more like chill, but still can’t afford you brands: Steven Alan, Helmut Lang, APC, Rag & Bone, ACNE, Opening Ceremony, Oak…etc. Also, shops like J. Crew, Madewell, Warby Parker, and Saturdays Surf NYC. Also there’s a mix of smaller-end shops/boutiques.

East Village/Lower East Side (LES) - Lots of consignment shops with great stuff, and smaller boutiques (Tokio 7, Search & Destroy, The Dressing Room…etc.) It has a younger, more laid-back feel, also you can find some of the best in world tattoo artists here.

  • St. Marks/8th St. - I used to hang out here like crazy during my college days. I got my cartilage pierced here when I was in high school. It’s a good time, it’s got a lot of fun Japanese Izakaya bars, fun/weird shops, bongs and pipes in display windows, tons of vinyl shops and such.

These are all in the city, but check out Brooklyn ie. Williamsburg/Fort Greene/Park Slope/Cobble Hill/etc. as well. It’s practically hipster capital, but despite that unfortunate quality, it’s got great food, bars, and boutiques. Try Bird, Amarcord, Pema…Oh, and Catbird has super cute jewelry. Like the LES, also has some of the greatest tattoo artists here…jussayin’.

Last but NOT least! Century 21 Department Store is MY FAVORITE! It’s a glorious department store full of marked down delicious goods from very solid brand names…Go in with a lot of energy and patience.

Hope this is helpful. Like I said before, definitely do your own research because I left out a lot. Don’t just research where you want to shop, but also where you want to eat, where you want to drink, where you want to dance, where you want get tatted, where you don’t want to be alone at night, and where you want to one day rent an apartment and live a poor and stressful and most awesome life…=)

Hope you enjoy your time in the greatest city in the world. PEACE.
