the only useful thing he did

Darkiplier History lesson..

Okay, do you understand Darkiplier, you should probably know his origins as a character. Well, when Mark made those creepy videos for the sake of being creepy, it cause a few fans to basically go, “Hey, that’s super weird, we should make the creepy dude in the back a character!” so they did, and as a separate being from Mark, he had to have a name.

And that was basically the birth of Darkiplier. And he wasn’t immediately a romantic figure like people say, at first he was only used in horror fanfiction for stuff like SCP and things like that. He was originally supposed to be animal like, he was like a feral dog that would bite without warning. But as he started to grow, and more and more people started to jump on the Dark train, he got more and more diverse.

One person could describe Dark as a Demon that would kill you without thought , and another would say he’s a cinnamon roll that just needs a hug. And that was how it was, we didn’t have a solid character because there was no solid content for him, I think the most popular vision of him was the Emo dude, always wearing a hoodie , with black eyes and red pupils. But then Mark got more involved, and it just reinforced the Emo image, and he was kinda the laughing stock of the ego community.

But then a Date with Markiplier came out, and the entire community was fliped on its head. The Emo image didn’t fit anymore, we all had to recreate him into this sauve upper class looking man, and we ate it up. As Mark said, he’s a social manipulator, he takes our affection and devotion and uses it. And recently, with ‘Who Killed Markiplier’, he’s getting a lot of sympathy because of his back story, and again, we all eat it up. This is what he wants.

This is what Mark wants, he knows we can’t help but feel sorry for the “Lost soul” thing, and he’s going to use it against us somehow. Dark knows we want to help, and he will use that advantage. He’s not our friend, yes, he had a tragic past, but that doesn’t change the fact that he will use us.

Band room after hours

So me being in the lonely doo 7th grade at a new school at the time, I didn’t have many friends except one from orchestra and a group of music geeks in 8th grade. She plays first violin and I play the cello. So after lunch the band an orchestra teachers leave to teach at another school and they would leave the doors unlocked. My orchestra teacher trusted me and my friend and would let us practice in there after school. Eventually some other people started to go in their to listen to us play and stuff and sometimes we would just hang out in the band room. One faithful day though, two girls in their kept screaming and banging on the piano so a teacher found us and told us all to leave but since the orchestra room is connected to the band room through a small hallway, some us managed to make our way to the bands storage room. Once said teacher left we tried to open the door only to find it to be locked. After a small panicing moment I realized that one of my friends bass was still there which meant he still had to go back to get it, except he was already outside. I awkwardly had to call him to explain what happened and he did manage to get us out. To this day I he still jokes about it. (I still have more stories about things that happen in this school)

The Baddest Thing Pt. 4

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 or read it on Ao3

Pairing: Betty Cooper x Jughead Jones

Summary:

‘Cause I have hella feelings for you
I act like I don’t fucking care
‘Cause I’m so fucking scared
-blackbear

“You did well tonight, son.”

FP’s hand claps down on Jughead’s shoulder as he walks by, an intended gesture of affection, but one that only serves to shoot a searing pain through his son’s new bruises.

“How long did you give him to get us the money?” FP leans against his office desk, his hands folded casually across his knee.

“24 hours.”

His father’s eyebrows raise and he turns to his Southside Serpent right hand, one that Jughead has met several times but only knows as ‘Crow,’ who in turn, chuckles.

“We usually give them 48 hours for an initial warning.”

“Not when they get in as many hits as this fuck did,” Jughead spits, trying not to lift his hand to his ribcage where he knows the bruising is the worst.

FP laughs, amused, before waving his hand in dismissal.

Did Jack not die from the angel blade because he's part archangel and they can only be killed by an archangel's blade? If so, how stupid are the angels??

I think that no one really knows what they’re doing about him and that he’s way more powerful than anything they’ve seen before… It might be he can’t be killed by that either, since human souls are technically more powerful than angels, we just can’t use them that way unless you’re Lily Sunder :P The things that have hurt him before (magically) have been angel banishings and angel radio, so he seems to have a weird allergy to angel power, but no one’s tried smiting him yet, and it will probably just incapacitate him briefly for plot reasons. I think if Cas is anything to go by angels are nothing if not self-assured about what angels can do. It doesn’t seem weird to me one would at least have a go at stabbing him on the assumption their blades kill just about everything… :P Miriam just wanted to kill him to annoy Sam and Dean, knowing they’d kill her anyway, so it was a gamble about if she could spite them that way, and not really something that the angels were planning to do all along. Since the other two angels were trying to take him away.

This relationship & break up is in our heads and we can't discuss reality based on things we never even got implied in any other way than the twitter shit Gillian teased us with. After all of it it's clear she did it for promotion and if he was really her boyfriend she wouldn't dangle him like a piece of meat for everyone to get a look at their love relationship. It's only us fans who say they are/were in love when they were always adamant telling us they loved each other which is not the same.

But it is not just in our head. And it never got implied in any way??? Holy shit! Where were you when Kimmel happened?

If you had told Harry Potter, back in his first year of Hogwarts, that he’d be sharing custody of a child with Draco Malfoy, he would have laughed. Loudly. But here he was, fifteen years later, and one of Teddy Lupin’s two legal guardians.

When Harry had accepted Remus’s offer to be Teddy’s godfather, although in the thick of war, he still never considered he’d actually have to raise someone else’s child. Teddy’s grandmother, Andromeda, had taken care of Teddy originally, which Harry was glad of - a 17 year old did not a father make. Still, he made sure to visit often. He knew what it was like to grow up without parents.

Harry wasn’t surprised that Draco visited just as often. Andromeda was his aunt after all, making Teddy his first cousin once removed.

Harry didn’t make a fuss the first time they’d bumped into each other at Andromeda’s, even though the last time they’d seen each other had been at Hogwarts, in the middle of a war, on opposite sides. He trusted Andromeda, and if she, as fiercely protective as she was, trusted Draco around Teddy, that was enough for Harry to do the same. Although, he still watched closely, curious to understand Draco’s behaviour.

Years past and Andromeda grew weary. She had already raised one child, and she was far too old to be chasing after another. As godfather, Harry knew it was his responsibility to take over as Teddy’s guardian, and no longer a teenager, he felt like he was ready. But Draco had insisted that it was he who should become guardian, as a blood relative.

They had argued like they might have back in their Hogwarts days, with taunts and snide jabs, even a  few hexes, before Andromeda put a stop to it. “How do either of you expect to raise a child if you still act like children yourselves?” She had yelled at them both, her words striking home as always.

Shared custody was Andromeda’s idea, but they both agreed it would be the best option for Teddy. He had already grown attached to both of them, and they both loved Teddy as if he was their own. On that, they were in agreement, if nothing else.

These days, they saw a lot of each other. Teddy made sure of that. They hadn’t quite reconciled all their differences, but they were civil, even polite to each other. They had to be for Teddy. But there was such a coldness to their interactions sometimes, that Harry wondered if it would be better if they just went at it, like they really wanted to. Said what they were really thinking.

Like that time when Draco dropped Teddy off at Harry’s office in the middle of a work day because he had an appointment, and Harry said, “Of course, no problem Draco. Please take your time,” but what he’d really wanted to say was, “You couldn’t have given me some warning so I could plan my day around this, you inconsiderate prat?”

Or the time Draco had taken Teddy on holiday and returned a day later than expected, and Harry said, “That’s okay, Draco, I’m glad you’re both back. I’m sure Teddy had a great time,” but what he’d really wanted to say was, “I thought you were both dead you selfish jerk, you never thought to owl ahead to let me know?”

Or last week when Draco had to reschedule their agreed custody routine because he had a date on Thursday night and Harry said, “Hope you have a lovely night,” but what he’d really wanted to say was, “I hope your date throws wine in your face and leaves you with the bill.”

It’s not like Teddy didn’t know what was going on. He was a perceptive kid. The whole situation was ridiculous.

A voice told him where to go, and he went.

Maybe there was a time when the word of a disembodied voice would not have been enough. He doesn’t remember it. He doesn’t remember a lot of things. He remembers a lot of things. He remembers the wrong things.

He is slow. Maybe he wasn’t always slow, but he is slow now. There is no straight line between points. He considers every tree and every flower. He picks apples and catches lizards. He stares at the sky, and chases the stars.

He doesn’t speak much. He’s told he never did. He wonders if it was then what it is now, the way the words taste wrong and never fit on his tongue. Hylian and Hylian and Hylian but it never sounds right to the points of his ears. His first language is foreign and his accent is nowhere. He doesn’t sound like a hero. He doesn’t know what he sounds like, but he knows he doesn’t like it. It grates the way any wrong thing grates. He says nothing, and no one seems to mind.

He catches beetles, and stops to take pictures of fish.

In the burnt husk of a home, he finds a rusted shield. It didn’t do them much good, whoever they had been. He finds them all over, these floors without ceilings, these roofs without walls. He wonders, always: have I been here before? Did I know them, once? This house on the mountain, this cabin in the woods, would they have recognized me? Was this a name that fit on my tongue?

He learns to bake a cake, breaks rock salt and rubies from veins of ore in the earth.

He moves the sails of a raft with a Korok leaf, and he thinks: this should be easier. He wills the wind to move, but there is nothing. He looks out at the ocean and thinks: what might we find there? His raft is dead wood. He is alone.

He catches fairies in his hands, pink light and warmth and a faint ringing in his skin. They never complain. They never speak. He opens his hands to let them go, and they are the wrong color. The Great Fairy laughs, and it’s so much prettier than it used to be. Than it never was. He rolls glass bottles in his hands, but he doesn’t take them with him.

There is something restful in this. He can’t explain it, even if he had words to try. In his long slumber something inside him came unmoored, and he knows things he must not. He is tired. He knows this most of all. There is work to be done. There has always been work to be done.

He lights a fire, roasts a fish, picks at the flaky meat while it’s still hot enough to burn his fingertips.

He thinks of a sister he never had. He thinks of a grandmother he never had. Did he know his grandmother? In the Lost Woods he stares at the Deku Tree, and knows this is not home. There is a green-haired girl on the backs of his eyelids, and she sounds like three notes repeating.

He finds an ocarina made of wood, and runs his fingers over the holes. Three notes, repeating. He plays them, and nothing happens. He checks the shape of the moon and his reflection in the water. He plays three notes, different this time. There is nothing but an ache.

It sounds more like his voice than his voice ever did, and that hurts worse than silence.

He tries to remember Mipha. He wants to remember her most of all. They were friends, he is told. Close, he is told. He has nothing but fragments and a shirt that fits too well. When he tries to remember, he sees blue scales instead of red.

Zelda is Zelda is Zelda. She is the reference point around which the world turns. She is always Zelda, even when she isn’t. Her face is always her face. He is grateful and resentful in turns. There are so many people he would remember, if he could. Instead there is Zelda.

Ganon is not Ganon is not Ganon. He doesn’t know if Ganon has a face. He’s had so many faces. Was this ever a man, this manifestation of malice? He remembers eyes of gold, he remembers snouts. He recognizes the smell of him in burnt cloves and blood.

Fear is red lights and a blue glow. He knows these things were hope, once. He can’t remember it. He can’t remember seeing six metal legs and believing they would save him. Did he always know that it was helpless? It feels like he should have known.

The words are different, but the meaning is the same. He is procrastinating. If he needed an excuse, he would call it training. He would say they need every advantage. He would say they will only have one chance. No one asks for excuses. He says nothing.

Zelda has waited a hundred years. She waits, still.

She remembers a boy who never rushed her. She remembers, the way he does not, his silent patience while she found herself. While she took too long to find herself. She will wait for him to find himself, even if he takes too long. They may doom the world with their patience, but does the world not owe them this? There are so many worlds, and so few of them are kind. What could this world have been, if it had been kind? What might she have saved if it had not demanded saving?

She did not save the world. She will not save the world. She saved a single point of kindness who did not ask it from her. She will not ask it from him, but he may save her all the same. He is courageous. He is kind. Please, be careful.

He catches Koroks in durian trees, and chases dragons through canyons.

He jumps off a cliff to land in a stable, and no one there sees the hero he should be. He is no one, he is nothing. He is halfway to a beast, but they’re grateful for his help, when he offers it. He always offers it. He doesn’t know how not to.

His hands are calloused. Sometimes they bleed. He ties up his hair every morning, and does not stop. Swords fit so neatly in his hand. Sometimes he uses them to light fires or carve birds. It’s just easier. A sword is all he knows. He’s trying to be more. This might be beyond him.

Sometimes he growls when he’s angry. Sometimes he rips things apart with his teeth. Sometimes dogs follow him, but sometimes they whine. The shadows aren’t always unfriendly, and he feels them like fingers in his hair. There are eyes like fire in the mirrors at night, but he can only see them in the corners of his eyes.

The first time the Gerudo catch him, it was because he tried to scale their walls. Why did he think that would work? Urbosa would laugh if she knew.

He catches horses, but they’re never the right one. The hooves are wrong, the gait is wrong. They are never a part of him, an extension of his own legs. He rides across fields and they hesitate the way she never did. He whistles three notes, sometimes, but it never works.

He finds it, eventually. The place the voice told him about. Walls without a roof. Has he been here before? Surely he has. It’s night when he arrives. His footsteps make no sound. This is how he navigates the world, now, quiet as the sky. It’s easier this way. He kneels down to catch the latch on the chest, and when it opens, he cannot breathe.

He stares at it for a long time.

The moon is only the moon. His skin is still his own. Eventually, he breathes again.

He almost laughs.

He slides the mask onto his face.

❝I think we were meant to be but we did it wrong.❞ [x]

Okay but listen y’all.

Izuku and Bakugou attend a 5-year reunion for their 3rd-year junior high class!

So they’re like, 19/20. Only a year or two out of UA. Haven’t really established names for themselves in the hero world yet. Probably still working as sidekicks at other heroes’ agencies.

And it’s not like, an official reunion or anything.

More just a bunch of old friends hanging out, wanting to see how each other are doing.

And they invite Deku because like, lol they need entertainment, right? And what could be better than harassing the kid they used to bully all the time in school. It’s not like he could’ve done anything useful with his life.

So imagine, it’s like half an hour past the established meeting time. Almost everyone they’re expecting has already arrived.

Then, Bakugou walks into the restaurant they’re all at, and he’s talking and laughing with someone his old classmates can’t recognize.

He’s tall, with short black curls and a friendly face. He’s built sturdy, and looks to be well on his way to All Might’s physique. He walks with an enviable confidence that matches Bakugou’s, and his shining green eyes are friendly and intelligent.

He’s probably one of Bakugou’s heroics friends from school or from the agency he works at, they all assume. Which isn’t bad or anything, a lot of them have brought significant others or close friends along with them. The more the merrier, right?

They turn out to be both right, and horribly wrong at the same time.

“What’s up, asshats?” asks Bakugou as he walks up to the group, a shark-like grin on his face.

A couple of people roll their eyes at his language, but let it go with mutters of “classic Katsuki.”

“So, what took you two so long?” asks one girl from the table next to theirs after they’ve both sat down.

Virtually everyone is listening in, because as rookie heroes, the two of them are by far the most interesting ones there.

Bakugou just rolls his eyes.

“Work ran late,” he says. “Nothing super exciting or anything, just villain cleanup. And then when I went to pick this asshole up, he decided to be a diva and take forever to finish getting ready.” And then, with an eye roll and a conspiratorial stage whisper, Bakugou adds, “He has a date after this.”

“Oh fuck off, Katsuki,” the other guys says, shoving at Bakugou’s face with one hand while he texts on his phone with the other. “Or did you forget you and Kirishima are coming with us?”

Bakugou just snickers, batting his hand away. “The difference between us, Deku, is that I don’t still get like a nervous schoolgirl whenever my boyfriend so much as looks at me. How long have you and the ice bastard been going out now?”

Suddenly, there’s an audible gasp from everyone in their group, the revelation of Bakugou being not-straight taking a backseat to the fact that, holy shit, the guy with him is fucking none other than-

“MIDORIYA!?”

Izuku flinches a little at the volume of the outcry, then turns to look at them all with a bewildered expression.

“Yeah…?” he asks, confused.

And meanwhile Bakugou just bursts out laughing because damn, he had expected this, but it’s still the most hilarious thing ever.

“Since when did you get…” one of them starts to say, only to be elbowed in the ribs by a friend, and they immediately shut up as their brain catches up with their mouth. “…get to be so close with Katsuki?” they improvise, smiling awkwardly. Bakugou, whose expression had suddenly gotten dangerous, relaxes then, and they thank god that they hadn’t blurted out their original thoughts after all.

“Uh…when he suddenly became a decent person?” asks Izuku, grinning cheekily at his friend.

Bakugou rolls his eyes and huffs sulkily, but doesn’t do anything to deny that he used to be…not so good.

Izuku laughs.

“It’s amazing what good role models and supportive friends will do in improving someone’s shitty, toxic attitude. Now, Bakugou’s at least a lovable asshole instead of just an asshole.”

Bakugou still doesn’t say anything but he’s starting to look like he’s pouting.

Izuku seems intent on trying to rile him up.

“It’s such a relief too,” he says, eyes mischievous. “I mean, we wouldn’t another Endeavor on the loose, am I right?”

“YOU FUCKING SHUT THAT WHORE MOUTH, DEKU!” Bakugou immediately shouts then, little explosions going off in his hands as he slams the table they’re sitting at. “You can say whatever you want about me, but don’t you fucking dare compare me Endeavor ever again or I swear to All Might I will-”

And his old classmates just stare at him, mouths agape.

Not because he’s shouting at Izuku or anything. That’s not anything new.

But because Izuku is just laughing at him, not looking the least bit tense.

Bakugou’s voice may be loud, but there’s nothing aggressive in his body language and even when he’s shouting, the way he says Deku has changed so drastically.

There’s none of the scorn or contempt from their junior high days.

The way he says Deku is less like an insult, and more like a fond nickname.

And that, more than anything, shows just how much their old classmate has changed.

"I never thought of it that way"

For context, I’ve been running a game of Rocket Age and we just got through the 3rd episode. One of my players has Psi Powers and a high convince skill, consistently using them to mess with the status quo or other players. The players are on a rescue mission and have just boarded a enemy ship.

Me: Alright the turn order is loaded, PSI you’re the first one out the door. What do you do?

PSI: I find the first guard and I convince him to stop being a bad guy.

Me: Okay you’re gonna need a high roll for that.

PSI proceeds to roll his dice and get a critical hit.

Me: Oh my god!

Other Players: [Laughing Furiously]

PSI: YES! Alright, “Have you ever thought about not being one of the bad guys?”

Me: Okay fine! [Clears throat], the guard looks over to you and ponders it for a moment before saying “I never thought of it that way” before shedding his uniform.

Other Players: [Still laughing]

The thing that really got me was that not only had PSI once done this before, but he got the exact same roll he did last time and used these exact same words. Clearly someone needs nerfing in the future.

What if…

What if Damien really does just want everyone safe? What if he truly is struggling to come to terms with it all?

What if the detective does really grief over his lost partners? And now has trust issues and wants us safe?

What if the Colonel can’t handle the death of a friend and is slowly going crazy in denial and anger?

What if the Butler truly liked having Mark as a boss and only wanted him to be happy? And now is relentlessly keeping things tidy, because that’s the way Mark liked it ?

What if the Chef truly does just love cooking and was happy to finally be someplace where he can cook? And now is just in another place of chaos and can only trust his little buddy?

What if Selene just can’t accept Mark is gone? What if she is right, in that there is something bigger going on, and now she has fallen to it?

What if Mark just wanted his friends to be friends again? And now it might have cost him his life?

What if they are all innocent?

(I may have just given myself to many feels)

Bonus!

What if Jim is actually Jim?!

Edit)

For my own future reference, I wrote this between the 3rd and 4th ep. (I believe) but was thinking about this since the 2nd.

@markiplier

Teacher liked to get too close to my friends in secondary, ended up quitting.

Well, this is my story. I’m a male, 26 yo currently. I was in secondary in grade 10th at that time (not sure how it works in other countries, here in grade 10th students are 15-16 yo).

We had an English teacher, male of about 40. He liked getting too close to girls. I was 15 at that time and I was friends with many of the girls in my classroom.

Well, it happened that my friend, lets call her J, told me that the teacher (let’s call him W) liked getting too close to her, hugged her and liked touching her (not sexually but with sexual connotations) and made her feel uncomfortable. Of course, I did not like that at all. J, then told me that W used to make her kind of indirect-sexual propositions. J was scared because of that, but she did not tell her parents or any adult. I was not going to speak for her, but I had to do something about it.

I was one of the best students in the class, in most of the subjects. I didn’t like W, but anyways, he kinda liked me for being a good student. I started researching and I found out that J was not the only girl that W molested. There were some others who had the same problem.

I was talking with my friend over the phone one night and we came up with an idea. We would write a kind of newspaper article, where we would say all the things the teacher used to say or to do with the girls. We would not put names or something. It would be anonymous. Just W’s name. So I did write a beautiful article where I narrated what I found out. I said that W liked touching girls, that he made sexual propositions to them, etc. and if they did not believe what I wrote, they could ask all girls.

In my town, at that time, it was not common having a computer. So I went to a cybercafe (probably the only one in the town at that time) and I made a word file with the article. I printed it, afraid of being discovered by the place’s owner (in these small towns everybody knows everybody), but nothing happened. I went to a different place to make copies from the article. The store’s owner did not realize anything either.

I was quite afraid, but excited for what would come. We went to the school, had clases as usual, and before the class ended for lunch break, J and I asked permission to go to the bathroom. I gave her about three copies of the article so she would put them in the girls bathroom and I went to the guys’ one. I pasted them inside the cubicles, in the walls.

So break time came, all students went out from their classrooms and many of them went to the bathrooms. It was like watching an explosion. All students started gathering in the bathrooms. It was all a mess, everybody was talking about the articles found there. Some teachers went to see what happened, collected all papers and, I guess, went to the school director with the news.

W, was (obviously) mad at what happen. Filed a report at the police station, and went looking for information on who did that. The ones who new about it were about 5 people but none of us said anything. After the scandal, some other girls decided to talk and it seems that W molested quite a bunch of girls in the school. An investigation went on and teacher decided to quit during the investigation. Not sure if he was found guilty of anything else than just molesting girls, never saw him again.

I was freaked out cuz I thought they would find out it was me who wrote that. W actually went to the classroom, that same day, with a victim-like attitude saying that all was false, and that he suspected that the ones who wrote that were some enemies he had from outside the school because it was quite well written (it seems he thought we were stupid students not able to write that). Who would think that one of the best students, one of the most respectable ones would write that kind of thing?

I must admit that it could have been handled differently, but we were just teenagers and teenagers always think stupidly. Anyways, I don’t regret it. Teachers learned that it was not good business to play with girls like that.

Darkiplier Never Left: A Theory

Okay, so this theory has been bouncing around in my brain since March, and I’ve briefly touched on it before, but I’ve never fleshed it out on here. Buckle in, homies. This is a long ride full of excessive bolding and italics, and we’ve abandoned the land of chill and “Read More”s.

As always, this connects to my other theories. They’re not required reading, but they will definitely help. I’ll link to the two most relevant ones (which are also the two most popular ones, so that’s neat!): The big bad, which explains the purpose of each of the egos in Markiplier TV; and this one, which explains why Mark is trying to undermine Dark.

In Markiplier TV, there are two heads to the table. One of them has already presented his plan to take back control. We’re about to witness the plan of the other.

What is the plan exactly? Well, that much we’re not sure of, yet, except that one of the clues we’ve been given is a piece of what looks to be a ransom note. We’ve also been given a still from some security cam footage, which, when brightened, has a clear anaglyph (red/blue) effect. (You can view the brightened version here, courtesy of the lovely @amycampbell00.) This leads many to believe that someone (Mark, most likely) has been taken hostage, and that Dark is behind it. I agree with this, but I think that we’re making a mistake in assuming that this is a recent development. In fact, the point I’m here to make in this post is that Dark has had control of the channel since his very first official appearance in February.

Let’s take a look at the psychology behind Dark as a character. He has two serious hyper-focuses: control and choice. Control is what he desires; choice is what he denies. During the Horror route of A Date with Markiplier, his obsession with the concept of choice is emphasized repeatedly.

What’s interesting about this is that he follows this statement by, technically, giving you a choice– but what he presents you with is actually just the illusion of choice. It may seem like there are different paths to take, but only one will actually make a difference. The rest send you directly to dead ends. No matter what you do, you will, ultimately, have to make the “choice” that he has been leading you to all along.

Immediately after this exercise in futility, he extolls the virtues of avoiding choice altogether and letting him have control.

Okay, so why is this relevant? Well, consider this: we also know that Dark doesn’t exactly obey the laws of space and time. (Mark directly mentioned this fact in the February live stream.) Not only that, but he has some semblance of control over it as well– when you try to escape during the Exit video, he immediately creates a time loop and sends you back inside. He has complete and utter control of the situation at every moment, and if things don’t go the way he plans, he can literally manipulate the world around him.

Knowing all of this, why would Dark then allow us to make this choice?

He wouldn’t. Of course he wouldn’t.

This man just spent the entirety of his time with us asserting that he was in control, and that choices are not only unnecessary, but dangerous. He set up a false choice to emphasize that point. There is no way he would give us a genuine choice after all of that. It goes against everything we know about him. Even if he was genuinely caught off guard (which I find hard to believe, but that’s a point for another post), he would not set himself up in a position of vulnerability that would immediately undermine all of his efforts up to that point. Any sort of “weakness” he would present would only be in the service of a greater purpose.

Darkiplier can manipulate what we see. He can manipulate what we hear. He can manipulate the laws of space and time. He doesn’t need to give us any power over him.

He’s tired of giving people a choice, and we are no exception. We don’t have the option to shoot Dark. We never did.

No matter what we choose, we will be shooting Mark. Mark didn’t escape on his own to confront Dark– if he had, Dark would have simply thrown him back in as he did in the Exit video. No, Dark let him escape. Dark let the gun fall at our feet. And Dark let us shoot him– except, of course, that he didn’t. The only difference your “choice” makes is how long he pretends to be the real Mark.

This all circles back around to his obsessions: he will give us the illusion of control over the situation and a choice in the outcome, when in reality, we have neither. And these things shape the most dangerous illusion of them all: the illusion of safety.

Mark isn’t in control of the channel. Mark hasn’t been in control of the channel for a long, long time. We already know that Dark can imitate Mark flawlessly, and he’s been doing so for months. Those brief moments in videos that appear to be Dark exercising the weak amount of power he has left? Those are simply to make us believe he’s not running the show. He’s practically taunting us.

He’s been pulling the strings for months now, patiently waiting for the right time to step out from the shadows and reveal his plan. Judging by the events of the past few days, he’s finally ready. The real question is,

are we?

I’m only 18

Request: Can you do a oneshot where the reader is an avenger and 18, she meets the team and the guys are being super flirty with her but have no idea that’s she is 18 and when they find out, they’re embarrassed about flirting with her :). Sorry if this super specific and long

Warning: No?

Being the new avenger was exciting. I had been able to shape shift into any person or animal that I wanted to since I was 5 years old. I scared my mother the day I turned into a dog. She could move things with her mind and she wasn’t sure of what I could do until the day we were eating dinner and I decided to act like a dog and turned into one.

Since then, I would do small things like tricking my friends or I would turn into a bird and fly away. Like Spider-Man, I decided to use it for good. What really caught the public’s eye, was the day a grizzly bear stopped a gas station robbery. That same day Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff showed up at my house. They explained to me and my mother that they wanted me to join the avengers. Naturally, my mother put up a fight and said I was too young, but I am 18 so legally I can go. Waving goodbye to my mother 6 months later and I was officially part of the team.

“You should turn into a cat, then when the team crowds around, turn into yourself.” Tony suggested.

“I can’t” I laughed at him, “When I shape shift, My clothes don’t change with me so I can’t turn back until I’m in my room, usually.”

“We’ll see about that.” He started thinking to himself.

“Guys this is y/n” Nat called out t the team.

“Hello” I waved to everyone “I know who you all are already, I read the file.”

“Nice to meet you” Steve shook my hand. “We didn’t hear much about you, it was suppose to be a surprise.”

I smiled, looking around the room at the team. I noticed Sam, Bucky, Thor, Peter, and Steve were looking me up and down. I met Sam’s eyes and he winked at me and gave a slow nod of admiration. Bucky looked away quickly, Steve also winked, Thor smirked at me and then walked away, and Peter quickly turned around and started a conversation with Wanda. I noticed Clint and Bruce were watching the same thing I was and looked at me and then the guys and shook their heads.

Once everything was finally settled, I made my way to the kitchen to get a small snack, I had finally finished unpacking. I was searching for a snack when I hear someone speak up behind me.

“Nickle for your thoughts?” Steve spoke calmly

“I’m pretty sure it’s penny.” I laughed at him

“I just think your thoughts are worth more” he smiled, raising an eyebrow.

“Really?” I rolled my eyes “That’s so lame”

“What?” He moved a tad bit closer leaning on the counter. “I just wanted to start a conversation.” He chuckled.

“So start” I reached for the box of cheez-its, but it was too far up. Steeve reached up above my head and grabbed it. I couldn’t help but look at his bicep. Quickly looking down when our eyes met.

“Like what you see?” Steve smirked “There’s more underneath.”

I blushed at first and then realized, he is old, I’m still 18 and I don’t think he knows that. Instead of telling him, I laughed at him and walked away.

The next person to talk to me was Sam Wilson. I had wandered into the theater room and put a movie in. Sam saw this and wanted to join.

“Can I join you?” He asked as I made my self comfortable on the love-seat, taking up most to the small couch.

“Sure if you can fit” I joked, moving my legs slightly.

“I played tetris as a kid.” He smirked at me coming closer to the couch.

“Your point?” I asked slightly confused.

“I can make it fit.” He winked at me. I didn’t even react, I just had a straight face and I realized that he didn’t know my age as well, and just like Steve I didn’t tell him.

Peter Parker approached me the next day, as I made my way to the kitchen, he tapped my arm.

“Morning y/n” He greeted me with a warm smile.

“Mornin’ Pete” I smiled back. He followed me into the kitchen.

“Hey y/n,” He got my attention back to him “Can you feel my shirt?”

“Excuse me?” I asked, confused.

“I’m serious” He held out the bottom of his shirt and I touched the soft fabric.

“What about it?” I was still confused.

“Does it feel like boyfriend material?” I asked seriously. I laughed at him as my cheeks slightly turned red.

“Absolutely not” Tony cut in “Not allowed.”

“Why do guys have to be such jerks?” My friend Andrea spoke to me on the phone. I had her on speaker while me, Wanda and Nat sat in the living room.

“I know how you feel Ann. What we need is a genie” I joked. “Three wishes would be nice.”

“That would help a lot actually” Nat joined

“What’s one thing you would wish for?” Wanda asked “ I would wish for world peace. Typical I know.”

“I’ll have to think about that.” Andrea said on the phone.

“Ditto” Nat spoke up, thinking quietly.

“I would wish for the perfect guy” I joked, earning a small chuckle from Nat.

“Here I am.” Bucky stood in front of us “What are your other two wishes?”

I couldn’t handle this anymore. I had to tell them how old I was before this got worse. I found it funny but I can’t be this cruel.

“Hey guys” I spoke up walking into the kitchen causing everyone to look at me “I have done some thinking.. Some of you, not naming who, have tried to flirt with me.” all the guys looked at each other. “As flattering as that is, I think you should know something about me, and maybe this will make you rethink some things.” I tried to fight the smile forming on my face. “I’m only 18.”

Every single guy, except for Peter, Tony, Bruce, Clint, and Vision, went pale. They froze and looked at each other.

“WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL US BEFORE” Sam yelled, obviously embarrassed.

“I thought it was funny” I laughed at them

“I already knew that” Peter winked at me

“Lady y/n” Thor looked up from the ground “ I wasn’t sure of your age so I didn’t say anything, but I did not expect that”

“I feel horrible” Steve apologized. Bucky couldn’t bring himself to say anything as he continued to stare at the ground.

There was a long awkward silence as we slowly continued our business.

“Wait, You guys hit on her?” Tony raised his voice.

Things that my crazy-ass Philosophy Professor did today:

1.) At the start of the class there were only like 10 out of 35 kids there, so he walks in the class, looks at us for a while in silence. Then says “Ah, okay.” And walks out.

EVERYONE WAS LIKE LMAO WHAT?!

Then he came back in like five minutes later and was like: “Had you guys there for a second didn’t I?! Yeah, it’s raining so I’m not gonna leave.”

2.) Some dude legit brought in four small cheeseburgers and freaking FIVE cartons of chocolate milk and was eating them the whole time. And halfway through the class while he’s lecturing, my Professor stops mid-sentence, walks up to the dude (who is sitting RIGHT next to me) and is staring in astonishment at the guy because in like thirty-minutes, that kid drank all the cartons of milk and no one noticed. My Professor just said “How? Okay, nevermind.” and continued with what he was saying before.

3.) He kept looking at milk kid who finished the burgers and had everything on his desk, like the cartons were practically falling off but he didn’t throw them away. Until he finally stopped his lecture again, went to him, and grabbed all his garbage to throw it away for him. The kid looked embarrassed and was like “Nah man it’s fine, I’ll do it later.”

And the Professor without looking at him with all the garbage in his arms was like “Hm, where’s the garbage? The last time I saw it, it was besides the ‘No food and No Drinks Allowed’ sign. Hm weird.” AND EVERYONE OOOOOO’d .

4.) He wanted us to answer this question that we talked about like only five minutes before. But everyone was tired and just didn’t really want to answer. But he thought that neither of us knew. So he got on the floor next to some girl’s desk, like on his knees and started slamming his fist on her desk as he fake cried loudly. “We just talked about thhHHHHIiiiSSSSss!!!”

5.) “So we’re now going to talk about an argument that people use when talking about God’s existence. It’s called the Big Bang Theory. And no I’m not talking about the mediocre television show.”

A soft whisper in the back: “Mediocre?”

Camp Camp Halloween Special

Honestly I think the saddest part of the new episode is that Jasper came back.

Hear me out.

He came back but only one person saw him. Space Kid.

The others might have seen him but in their state they probably didn’t notice.

The sad part is that Jasper is really blunt with the fact that he’s a ghost. He uses ghost powers and everything.

But SK doesn’t say a thing.

SK is the only person who has witnessed that stuff. But because it’s Space Kid, he doesn’t realize what Jasper is. If he did, he’d run away, scared.

This means that news of Jasper won’t make it back to David. He won’t know that Jasper is still on Spooky Island. He won’t get to see his childhood friend.

a-sisi-universe  asked:

i love your blog, could you do a drabble in which draco is really obviously flirting and harry is super oblivious, and the draco gives up and kisses him? thanks in advance!!

((I hope you don’t mind, I combined your prompt with one very vague anon prompt…also, I accidentally wrote 1.2k instead of a tiny drabble so I figured you may forgive me.))

“You don’t understand!  After the end of the year, I don’t really see us being around each other much.  I feel like I’m running out of time.  If I don’t do something soon, I’ll lose my chance with him forever!” Draco said.

“Poor thing, can’t imagine what it’s like to lose your chance with a crush, forever, only to be stuck in a toilet, forever…” Myrtle sobbed.

Draco was very used to navigating the ghost’s moodswings, “Of course you can. That’s why you are so important to me.  I didn’t go to any of my other friends, did I?  And I didn’t start talking about myself until after I fixed the lock on your favorite stall?”

Myrtle sniffled. “I guess.  But maybe he just doesn’t like boys.”

“I asked Weasely if he did,” Draco said, “and it wasn’t a pleasant conversation. I only asked if Harry liked boys and he started shouting at me. ‘He can like whoever he wants. You got a problem with that?’ Then he stood up like he was ready to fight me.”

Myrtle almost laughed, “Well, if he turns you down, just remind him that he can come see me any time he likes.”

Harry was his potions partner, his roommate since the eighth year rooming assignments were posted, even his friend.  But Draco wanted more.  He had always wanted more.  Draco had admitted that to himself almost at the beginning of the school year.  Harry never exactly turned him down, either.  That just made everything maddening.

He invited Harry to Hogsmeade the month before.  When Harry accepted, Draco was over the moon.  He came crashing back down to Earth when he grabbed Harry’s hand.  Harry had just stopped walking and looked at Draco.

“What?” Harry asked, pulling his hand out of Draco’s.

Draco panicked, “I, er, do you mind if we stop in to the quidditch supply shop? I need some polish.”

“Well, yeah.  I thought that was what we were here for,” Harry said.

“I guess I thought we were multitasking,” Draco said.

A week later, in Potions, Harry was leaning over the cauldron to see if it smelled like burnt cinnamon yet as the assignment indicated.  His hair had gotten longer than Draco had ever seen it and he just couldn’t keep his hands to himself.  He reached over and ran his fingers through the thick, black tangle of hair, tucking it behind Harry’s ear.

“I wasn’t going to get my hair in the potion,” Harry said. “It’s not that long.”

Draco let out a deep sigh. “I know.”  He made himself look away from Harry only to make eye contact with Weasley who promptly made an I’m-watching-you gesture.

The following weekend, someone asked the house elves to bring cappuccinos and lattes up “as study aides, obviously” and Draco tried to care about the cappuccino in front of him, but he couldn’t stop watching Harry.  He almost choked on air as he watched Harry run his tongue along the rim of his mug, licking the chocolate from the edges of his cafe mocha.

Draco couldn’t keep his eyes off Harry’s lips.  Draco reached up and brushed his thumb over Harry’s bottom lip.

Harry pulled away. “Do I have chocolate on me?” Harry asked, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

Completely crestfallen, Draco just shook his head. “You’re good.”  Before he went back to his Transfiguration essay, he caught eye contact with Weasley who was trying very hard not to laugh.

Earlier this week, Draco walked into their room to catch Harry dancing quite ridiculously to some muggle love song.  Harry blushed beautifully, and Draco grabbed his hands and danced with him.  By the end of the song, they were a bit closer than just hand-in-hand and both laughing.

“Why can’t all of my friends be so forgiving when I’m caught doing something silly?” Harry asked. “Hermione danced with me, but Ron never would.“

“I wouldn’t say ‘never,’” Weasley said from the doorway.

“Glad I could keep your dignity intact.  I only came in, for, er,” Draco looked around, “this,” he said, grabbing an ink bottle off his desk.  Weasley stared him down as he left the room.

Tonight, they sat in the common room celebrating the end of the first round of exams.  Draco couldn’t keep his eyes off Harry.  He laughed at Harry’s jokes, gave him a friendly shove when those jokes were at Draco’s expense.  Draco melted every time Harry’s leg bumped his own.  He intentionally moved a little closer when he thought it would make Harry’s shoulder brush his own. Then a conversation started taking over the group as a whole.

“I think a first kiss should always be discussed,” Pansy said. “It’s too presumptuous to assume an eye flutter and a smile would mean it’s okay to kiss.”

“It’s just because you’re a massive flirt,” Blaise said.

“Pots and kettles,” Hermione said. “I don’t know, I think it’s important to get consent, but implied consent between two people, depending on the people and the situation, could be okay.”

“I guess that tells you where I stand,” Weasley added. “How ‘bout you Harry? Negotiate kissing or surprise kissing?“

Harry shifted in his seat, "I don’t know.  It’s kind of hard to imagine anyone really wanting to kiss me.  Especially now, I mean, I don’t even know any other guys who prefer guys.”

Weasley stared at Draco before looking back at Harry, “Question still stands.  If one of us,” he said, waving a hand at the men in the group, “decided we fancied you.  Would you insist we asked permission?”

Draco’s head was going fuzzy.  Maybe he needed to remind himself to breathe.

“You trying to admit something there, Ron?” Harry laughed.

“Answer the question, dude,” Weasley said.  More than a couple people were looking at him like he’d sprouted a second face.

Harry threw his hands up in defeat, “What is the deal? Why are you getting so worked up over this? No. No. No I’m not opposed to surprise kisses! No, kiss consent isn’t something I insist on. No.  Okay. No-”

Before he realized he was moving, Draco had Harry’s face in his hands and his lips on Harry’s.

“Thank fuck!” Weasley shouted.

Draco kissed Harry roughly, months of oblivious rejections be damned. When he felt Harry’s hands on him, he worried for the briefest moment that Harry would push him away.  It didn’t happen.  Harry’s arms circled his waist, pulling him closer as he kissed Draco back.  And, oh sweet Merlin, he moaned against Draco’s lips.

Draco pulled away enough to ask, “How the bloody hell did you not know I like men?!”

Harry laughed, “Too much to hope for, I guess.”

Weasley, one of the few who hadn’t left while they were practically devouring each other, said, “He’s only been throwing himself at you for years, mate. And, Malfoy, I’d say it’s about bloody time you made a move but in your defense, you’ve been putting moves on him all year.”

Harry started to say something, but Draco cut him off with a kiss.

“Want to go discuss this, privately?” Draco asked.

Harry nodded. “Please.”

so i’m taking an astronomy class and the only thing i ever remember about the physics portions is the tidbits of information my prof gives us on the lives and personalities of famous physicists. for example, did you know galileo regularly argued in public with people about physics and math and astronomy and whenever he really dunked on someone he would hire actors to re-enact the whole scene just in case anyone missed it

@dynared: Pidge.

@dynared: Except…he isn’t into men.  Why is that so hard to accept?

That’s up for interpretation. IF he ends up with a crush on Keith, it will be something he’s grown into and learned to accept – a fact about himself he’ll have to mature enough to see. Again, I could be wrong. The fact that this is a mlm pairing is the only thing that gets in the way of the evidence. But Korra showed no interest in women before Asami, so, y’know, the idea isn’t unrealistic.

It will not be Pidge. Yes, in fiction, 17 year olds and 15 year olds have ended up together, but these two will not. They have not had a single serious one-on-one interaction together to build their friendship from comedic to something deeper. We are coming to the midpoint of the show; if they were going to end up in a relationship, we would have seen the hints at this point, like with Ka/llura, or Hu/nay, or All/urance, or…you get the idea.

On this same topic, Pidge is drawn physically smaller and more cherubic than the other characters. Back in July 2016, before the age reveal, I took this to mean she was simply short (I’m 4′10 myself). But now that we know she’s the youngest, it’s clear from her design that we’re supposed to think of her as more of a child than the other characters, which therefore makes it strange for her to end up in a romantic relationship with any of them. This is a children’s show, and children aren’t able to tell that “it’s only a two-year age difference”. They’ll see a small person, like them, with a big person, like a grown-up. I’ve been showing Voltron to a little eight-year-old girl I babysit, and she thinks she and Pidge are the same age, while everyone else is super old.

Just taking a quick scroll through your blog, I can see you dislike the very idea of Keith/Lance, as well as more focus on Lance than strictly necessary. You also seem to have this idea that Lauren Montgomery shares your views. Unfortunately for you, this is not the case.

She’s been very open and accepting towards this pairing, more than any other ship. Yes, I’m sure it’s frustrating for people to keep asking the same questions, but I don’t think she necessarily blames the fans. LGBT content will be something spoilery, so she obviously can’t talk about it – that’s what bothers her. Whether or not it’s Lance is irrelevant. Whether or not the fandom focuses too much on Lance is also irrelevant. The discussion at hand is that he will have a romantic relationship, and using all the evidence in my reach, it appears, to me, that it’s pointing to Keith.

Oh, and about the pronoun thing – if Lauren had used a neutral pronoun, then there would be absolutely no reason for people to think it’s not Keith, when that answer already narrows down the field to only him. In canon, Lance has only shown attraction to female-presenting characters, so, yeah, in a professional interview, Lauren’s going to keep in line with canon – the same way she did before the show came out and she referred to Pidge as a boy with masculine pronouns.

Sunny Disposition

Summary: Dean has a hard time believing that the reader is a hunter because of her sunny disposition.

Pairing: Dean x Reader

Word Count: 1,597

A/N: This is for @ilostmyshoe-79‘s Sweet Emotions Challenge. My prompt is Optimistic.

“What would you like to order, handsome?”

“Two slices of your finest pie, sweetheart. One apple and one cherry.” Dean requests with a lick of his lips, handing over his menu to the voluptuous waitress.

“Between you and me…I won’t tell if you make the pieces a little bigger than usual.”

“It will be our little secret.” She promises with a wink, before slinking away with a swivel in her hips.

“I don’t want pie.” Sam interrupts, making Dean unwillingly tear his eyes away from the waitress’s plump ass.

“It’s for Garth. The last time we worked together, he tried stealing a bite of my pie and I nearly shot him. The dork is getting his own this time.” Dean declares with a huff, his grumpiness getting worse by the second.

“I see.” Sam awkwardly shifts in his seat and it makes Dean squint his eyes suspiciously.
