the next heir

anonymous asked:

the heir is one of the founders kids! you decide which one. you usually switch when they become a young adult and then try to form a family

thank you! <3 sounds perfect :3

i was just confused as to how the actual generation transitions into the next one and at what age but your explanation makes a bunch of sense.

side note: i’m probably going to switch to gen 2 with lukah/pink a few days into parenthood bc i want to explore it with them a little and pink is still a child and lukah is still a teen! but i’ll probably do a poll and have people vote on the next “heir” because those always looked super fun! (if anyone wants too!)

lmao ok i’m done rambling ;-;

Either I have a bad memory or 2015 was a good drama year.

That heartbreaking gaze the second male lead makes when he knows his love is unrequited. </3

I just wanna give them a hug!! Psh, you don’t need the main chick when you’ve got all the victims of second male lead syndrome to love you! <3

What is ‘second lead’?

someone that is too perfect to your first lead, yet the writers often make them in delusional fantasy, that most of the time make audiences fall hard until audiences realize that those second leads would not get the girl.

Notable ones: Chilbong (Reply 1994), Junghwan (Reply 1988), Gong Taekwang (School 2015), Choi Youngdo (The Heirs), Yoon Jihoo (Boys Over Flowers), Oh Jaewon (Flower Boy Next Door), Kim Shin Hyuk (She Was Pretty), Kim Yoon Sung (Moonlight Drawn by the Clouds), …

I am still waiting for the Darkest Timeline mob verse. Where Sid is the endgame. His sister has already destroyed the big name bosses in the midwest, and now they are all waiting for Sid to knock out the remaining families and operations on the East Coast before making their move. Sid's mother is a patient woman, but she won't wait forever. His time in Pittsburgh is coming to a close...

Sidney has fallen in love with his husband for real at this point, and he’s clutching to an injured, nearly unconscious Geno, trying to use his body to shield as much of Geno as he can and begging hysterically for his family to spare his husband as he looks up at his mother and sister and their henchman from the ground.

I looove how Maisie is smelly in the last post. Made me crack up so bad. I can't wait to find out who the next heir is, your sims are too amazing. Lots of love from a fellow simmer. <3

I honestly didn’t even notice until I was editing the pictures. I thought about redoing it but I was so amused by it that I just left it there.

yo i haven't seen pd2 in like YEARS but yuuri and victor in your little drabble had me weak and i don't even know what kinda factor they play in the movie or if there's anything else you can give us but i'd love to see more of them because. yes @ them being all over each other in front of everyone when people have shit to do, i.e. important ruling a kingdom stuff

well, the dynamic between the queen and joe in the movies (can’t say much about the books bc it’s been years since i read one of them lmao) is that they’ve got a will they won’t they tension going on and literally the entire damn country ships them (the friggin bishop or…. whatever religious leader officiating the wedding was like “finally” when they did get married in pd2 lolol) and yea that’s probably what i’d be going for. but with a couple tweaks since a lot of details have been shifted around in this au to make it work better with the yoi cast lol

Viktor’s never seen anyone as stoic as Mr Katsuki before in his life. He runs a tight ship, getting all the other security officers into line and smartly suited up. He obsessively goes over every possible breach or flaw at every venue, even drawing up blueprints and maps of the buildings Viktor sets foot in just so he knows the weaknesses of each wall, the locations of each ventilation shaft. He knows the precise details of Viktor’s schedule down to the minute, coordinating with Lilia, his chief advisor and assistant, until everything around the King seems to flow like clockwork, the well-oiled cogs of a machine designed to protect his every step.

“Why are you doing this?” he asks Mr Katsuki once, a couple months into his tenure as chief of security, and Mr Katsuki only smiles a tight, brittle smile that doesn’t reach his calculating yet sparkling eyes.

“I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if you were hurt, Your Majesty,” he replies.

Viktor laughs at just how earnestly serious the man looks. “My life is in your hands already, Mr Katsuki. You might as well call me Viktor.”

There’s a little chink in Mr Katsuki’s armour at that when his cheeks flush visibly pink. “I don’t know if I could, Your Majesty,” he says, his voice quiet, soft, and Viktor immediately realises he’d do anything to see this sort of expression on the man’s face again.

Mr Katsuki is a reassuring shadow at his side, watchful yet protective. Viktor values his work and dedication. Admires his bravery and honour.

But he doesn’t fall in love, though, until one fateful afternoon when he’s leaving his motorcade and a gunman opens fire, and Mr Katsuki is on him in an instant, tackling him onto the asphalt and shielding him with his body. As his heartbeat rings loudly in his ears, Viktor looks up into the wide-eyed expression on his chief of security’s face, and realises that the man is genuinely terrified of losing him.

“Yuuri,” he breathes, reaching up for him. The light haloes Mr Katsuki, making him almost angelic. The noise and commotion fade away with each blink of Mr Katsuki’s long lashes, and then the world fades to white.

When Viktor wakes up, he is in a hospital bed, and Mr Katsuki – Yuuri – has fallen asleep with his fingers inches from Viktor’s own.

okay but Little Red Riding Hood retelling wherein the wolf is a guardian of the forest and all its creatures, but its life is tied to that of Little Red’s family. Under Grandmother’s rule, they have seen nearly a century of peace and prosperity.

However, the Huntsman and his forces know that the old woman is dying, and when she goes, the wolf will die as well, leaving an opportunity to attack the forest. They’ve been biding their time for a hundred years, knowing that they cannot beat Grandmother’s wolf.

What they don’t count on is Red. Sweet, little Red who is at her dying Grandmother’s deathbed, who holds her hand as she takes her final breath. Who, with tears shining in her eyes, whispers, “Goodbye Grannie. I’ll see you in the next life.” Curled next to the bed, the wolf howls once, a single note of mourning, before closing her eyes and joining Grandmother in death.

Grandmother’s body isn’t even cold before the Huntsman bursts into the cottage, seeking to kill the next heir and her wolf before they can become a threat to him.

“You should not be here,” Red says. Her voice wavers and tears still shine in her eyes, but she is unafraid. “Grannie wouldn’t like it.”

“Your Grandmother is dead, idiot girl,” the Huntsman snarls. “And you will join her.”

“No,” Red replies. “She will join me.” The blanket that Red used to cover Grandmother’s body shifts and an almighty growl shakes the foundations of the cottage. “You should run now,” Red offers as an enormous black wolf erupts from the bed where her Grandmother had lain. Her fur is the same dark color as Grannie’s, and she has their family’s legendary golden eyes.

And so continues the legacy of Red Riding Hood. In life, they support their forest home, and go on to protect it in death.

Do you ever just read this really good book, and wish you’d never read it, so that you can experience again that feeling of reading it for the first time? Does that make sense or am just crazy

When they haven’t published all the books in the series yet and the fandom is just stuck waiting salty af like…

The BatB/Downton Abbey AU no one asked for

This might get long. Sorry.

  • Adam Bourbon is the sole heir to the Earldom of Villeneuve, and loves to attend parties in London, gamble and spend ridiculous amounts of money of clothes and material possessions.
  • He’s been the centre of numerous scandals (with both married and unmarried women) that his father desperately pays to keep out of the papers for fear of his own reputation.
  • After realizing they’re loosing money and their estate is at risk due to a bad investment, Adam’s cold and distant father tells him he must marry and settle down, or he’ll be disinherited and the estate and title will do to the next heir (a very distant cousin).
  • Not wanting to lose his inheritance or title, Adam begrudgingly agrees and his father orders him to stay at the family estate in the country to keep out of trouble. His father rarely spends time there, but nonetheless starts organizing dinners with respectable potential brides for Adam, though he shows little interest.
  • Months of unsuccessful marriage attempts go by, and Adam feels as though there’s no one for him, until a woman in a maid’s dress catches his eye.
  • Belle is hired by Cogsworth and Mrs.Potts as a housemaid in the earldom’s big house. She is content with her position, but knows that she’d doesn’t want to work in service forever. She’s saving up to travel and see libraries all over the world.
  • Belle quickly becomes friends with Plumette, the head housemaid.
  • Adam and Belle accidentally meet when she walks into the library to dust and set the fire, and is taken aback to see that Adam is there.
    • She apologizes, saying she thought he’d be hunting with the rest of his visiting relatives, and he says he was never keen on the hunt. He also lets it slip that his father teases him mercilessly because of it, and says some not-so-kind remarks about him. After quickly realizing he shouldn’t have said that, Belle promises not to tell anyone. Adam smiles, doesn’t say a word, and leaves Belle to her duties.
  • Adam starts “accidentally” running into Belle whenever he can, interrupting her duties. Belle eventually becomes slightly frustrated with Adam’s advances as he’s inconveniencing her and if they were to be found out, she would be sacked. He realizes this, eventually, and backs off (if a little reluctantly).
  • One afternoon, Adam catches Belle in the library, secretly reading his mother’s copy of Romeo and Juliet, and can’t help but let out a snort of disapproval. Belle jumps, quickly putting the book back as Adam saunters into the library.
    • Adam: “Of all the books in this room, you choose to read that one?”
    • Belle: “It’s my favourite, actually.” She’s trying (albeit not successfully) to not sound offended.
    • Adam: “But all the heartache and the pining… there are so many better things to read.”
    • Belle: “Well I haven’t had the luxury of a library such as this.”
    • Adam: “You have that now.”
    • Belle looks at him like he’s lost his mind. “What- what do you mean?”
    • Adam: “You can borrow any of these books, if you want to.”
    • Belle: “Does your father allow the staff to borrow from the library?”
    • Adam: “Oh, no. He keeps a ledger that even I have to use. But I would be willing to sign my name next to the books you want to read.”
    • Belle can’t help but let out a small laugh of joy.
  • On one of the staff’s nights off, Belle, Plumette, and the other maids head down to the visiting fair in the village. Belle decides to stay a bit later, and is noticed by a few young men who start to make unwanted advances. These advances start to get violent, and Adam (who had come to the fair out of nostalgia and remembering when his mother used to take him) notices these men ganging up on Belle and fights them off.
    • With all the adrenaline and an injured Belle, Adam rushes home and doesn’t leave her in her small bedroom in the servants’ quarters, but instead brings her to a guest bedroom.
  • Adam decides to revive a tradition put away when his mother died: the servants’ ball
    • It’s basically an excuse for his to dance with Belle in a non-scandalous setting.
    • Cogsworth is worried by the idea, thinking the Earl will find out, but Adam persists (with the help of Lumière and Plumette) and Cogsowrth eventually, begrudgingly accepts.

Nico turns his head toward a skittering noise in the dark tunnels. The boy by his side tenses, wondering what dangers have come upon them this time. There was still blood on his clothes, some of it his but most of it from one of his brothers, who died that morning from an arrow piercing his heart. They lost control of their kingdom, and now Will was forced into hiding.

“It’s just a rat,” Nico says, sheathing his sword again. Nico was one of the palace guards, asked by his majesty himself to look after the next heir to the throne. There never really seemed to be a reason for Nico to be there, other than keep the prince company. Not that he was the most talkative type, but Will ranted to him anyway, because who better to talk to than the boy that was always there?

It seemed that most of the time Nico’s job was pointless. The kingdom has been in peace for so long and one of the best allies to the other kings and queens, considering their long history in healing remedies. But something has been brewing among a few of the people of the twelve kingdoms, and they’re starting to target the weakest kingdoms. They’ve already raided the kingdom of Queen Demeter, cutting off the people’s crop supplies.

Nobody was sure what the rebels intentions where, but a few theories where circling, the most popular was to cut off the most powerful of the twelve kingdoms from all resources. They’ve taken their food already, and now the healers are falling under their control.

“Where are we going?” Will asks, trying to push down his fear. It doesn’t work and Nico flashes him a look of concern.

“Wherever is safe. Hopefully we can get to Queen Athena’s kingdom before nightfall.”

“What about my brothers and sisters? My parents?”

“They’ll be fine. The other castle guards will make sure of it.”

“If it was so safe, then why am I here?”

“Because the king asked me to bring you here.”

“Why me?” Nico turned to him, his expression annoyed. Will could make him glare like that like nobody else could.

“No more questions.” Then, suddenly Nico hears something and he presses Will and himself against the wall swiftly, moving like a shadow.

“Wha–”

I have finals tomorrow but I have to get this out of my head right quick

Okay, so, even years after Genji takes out the Shimada Clan, Hanzo is still getting assassins sent after him. Perhaps not all traces of the clan are dead, as they all are lead to believe.

Now, the Shimada Clan was a strong empire, and it thrived for decades before Genji and Hanzo. There could be clan members wanting to restart the clan from the ground up, but only a Shimada can control the dragons. Shimada blood must lead them with the mysterious power that comes from the dragons.

Genji and Hanzo are hopeless, both dishonorable and not worthy of the clan anymore. However, they did have children…

Hiroki and Barnaby have difficulties controlling their dragons, but they do have the tattoos (albeit Barnaby has his on his prosthetic arm and Hiroki has it partially on his). Taro doesn’t even bear his own tattoo.

Valentine though, the eldest child of Genji, controls two dragons. Holding herself with honor and knowing their fighting ways, her control with her dragons are perfect. What better heir to groom to rebuilt what was once a powerful clan?

And what if Genji and Hanzo realizes this too late? Only after Valentine disappears during a mission, where only a small sound of shock whispered into Taro’s commlink after he tired to find her? What if Valentine is slipped away in the night by master assassins as they prepare their new leader to take back what was once their kingdom?
