Hometown Weddings | Part 1 | TOM HOLLAND X READER

Description / Request: The reader gets a call from an old friend inviting her to come to her wedding, one that’s being held in her hometown. Tom, who has a crush on the reader, agrees to being her plus one, much to the amusement of Jacob and Zendaya. Jacob makes Tom promise to tell the reader his feelings at the wedding if he can get proof that she likes him back within the next 8 days.

Author’s Note: So I got sent this request and liked it so much that I started writing it almost immediately. I added some details and it ended up being longer than expected so I think I’m going to turn it into a multi-part fic. Let me know if you like it and feel free to send me your own requests.

Part 2| Part 3

Everyone cheered as I caught yet another raspberry in my mouth. Tom, Zendaya, Jacob and I were all hanging around the craft services table, messing around while the crew got ready to film the next scene.

I reopened my mouth and leaped sideways as Jacob tossed another raspberry into the air. When I caught it once again, I dabbed furiously to my right.

“Why are you so good at this?” Zendaya asked in disbelief taking a sip from her water bottle.

I shrugged my shoulders and caught another raspberry in mouth, this one being tossed by Tom. I winked at him as I started chewing it causing a blush to appear in his cheeks. “While some of us were mastering the art of dancing,” I started making a pointed look at Zendaya and Tom. “I mastered the art of eating.”

“Preach,” Jacob said raising his hand for a high five. I grinned and slapped my hand against his rather aggressively. He hissed and retracted his hand. “Dam that stung,” he groaned, cradling his hand.

I cackled and opened my mouth to give a witty retort when the Spiderman theme song started playing. My hands reached into my back pocket and pulled out my phone which was receiving a call.

A/N: If there was a way to describe how Peter Parker looked while he was talking to the reader, it would definitely be the gif of Matt Smith in Doctor Who. There is absolutely no doubt about that in my mind. The only thing from Homecoming is the videos from the beginning and the compound moving.

Part 1,      Part 2,      Part 3       Part 5

The next week was seemingly never ending, from your perspective. You were alone in the Avengers Tower, except for the occasional government worker strolling around. That left you with your worries for the team and, more importantly, Tony’s and Peter’s well being. You couldn’t believe that Tony would bring a kid to fight against highly trained Avengers. You could only imagine Aunt May’s sorrow if her last remaining family member was killed doing something that she couldn’t have possibly known about.

Ned noticed your change of attitude during school as you tried to maintain your grades with the newfound stress your father had accidentally placed on you. At first, he teased you that you weren’t the same because Peter wasn’t there, but stopped when you didn’t laugh or brush it off in any way. “Y/N, I was just joking,” Ned said carefully, “Is everything okay?”

You tried to smile. “Yeah, I just haven’t been sleeping well,” you mentioned before lying, “My father has a work thing for the week and it’s just hard to fall asleep by myself.”

Nodding, Ned offered, “How about we have a movie night then? Maybe killing your eyes will make you too tired to even think about being awake.” You laughed a bit at the mention. The suggestion was entirely platonic since Ned knew how you felt about Peter. He was trying to see what Peter thought of you, but found it harder to read his best friend’s emotions as easily as he once was able to.

“That sounds like fun,” you answered sincerely. It was Friday, so you didn’t have to worry about school work just yet and longed to spend some time with one of your friends. “Since Peter isn’t here, we can actually watch something besides The Empire Strikes Back!” The boy was obsessed with the second Star Wars

“Maybe we can finally move onto Return of the Jedi,” Ned joined in on the joke. “I’ll text you a time and you’ll text me where you live?” You nodded, deciding that you’d rather have company than keep your secret. Besides, you could trust Ned. He was one of your closest friends.

For The Ages

Jughead is crazy nervous about the thing currently weighing down his pocket.

A/N: okay so I’ve been on a chick-flick spree which resulted in this cheese-filled one shot. Fair warning: this has copious amounts of fluff and zero smut. Thanks for reading!

“You okay, Jug?” Betty asked, eyeing her apparently too-nervous-for-words boyfriend as he shuffled on his feet, unable to stay still.

“Yeah, no, I’m fine. It’s just a bit chilly, wouldn’t you agree?” He asked and she shrugged, thankfully not asking for his jacket as they walked down the empty streets of Riverdale. It had been a while since they had come back here. After everything that had happened with Jason and Fred and Cheryl, Jughead and Betty couldn’t wait to get out of this small, once-perfect town. The only people they missed were their families – but Riverdale itself they were all too ready to bid goodbye to (well maybe except to Pop Tate).

“It’s weird being back here, isn’t it? Being alumni in Riverdale High and everything,” Jughead said, as they turned a corner. Betty’s smile was laced with nostalgia as she smiled at the empty streets. Riverdale had become even smaller since their leaving. It seemed most of the town had a similar idea about the safety of Riverdale following all the chaos that had happened.

“Yeah. I mean, I know this town wasn’t ever really safe but it still makes me feel… safe – is that weird?”

“It’s understandable,” Jughead said, slipping his hand into hers and intertwining their fingers. She smiled up at him.

“So, remind me why you wanted to come to Riverdale, again?”

“I told you! My dad wanted to see us.”

“Your dad wanted to see you.

“Betty, by this point, I’m pretty sure he loves you more than he loves me. When you went to get the pie, he wouldn’t stop talking about you. It was actually borderline creepy,” Jughead said, rolling his eyes. Betty chuckled as they walked past the newly constructed mall, where the drive-in had once stood. They looked at it and sighed. It was so out of place in Riverdale. The fanciness of a mall was unnecessary and stood out as too glamorous in the quiet neighbourhood. The couple eyed it distastefully.

“I mean, I guess it adds a new layer…?”

“It’s hideous, Betty,” he replied matter-of-factly and Betty had to agree.

“It really is the nail in the coffin that is Riverdale, isn’t it?” She echoed his words back at him and he grinned at her.

“Don’t remind me, Cooper. It was a dark time for me,” Jughead said, although they both knew he had written almost too many articles about his beloved drive-in since. Of course, they had all remained on his laptop – god knows people in New York couldn’t give less of a shit about a tiny drive-in closing in Riverdale and the sentiments it awakened in one of the best investigative journalists in the city. Besides, publishing articles about the drive-in sort of went against the whole good riddance feeling.

Betty glanced at her watch:

10:00 p.m. it read and she frowned. Jughead wanted to go to see Pop Tate (apparently the drive-in wasn’t where the sentimentality ended) but surely he would know that the diner would be closed right now. After all, he had basically lived there for a major part of his life.

“Jug, are you sure Pop Tate’s going to be up this late?” She asked as they managed to tear their eyes away from the anomaly that was the mall and continue their stroll.

“I told him I was coming so yes, I think he’ll stay open. Especially since I gave him the most business he’s ever had,” he said, wearing this accomplishment like a badge of honour. Betty raised an eyebrow at this in amusement, flustering him.

“What? He told me. He even had my picture put up in the diner when we left,” he said, although his ears were turning a little red. His mentioning the day they left brought back a flood of memories to Betty. Jughead and her had managed to get into universities in New York while Veronica and Archie were separated by an ocean – Archie was going abroad to study music. But, in their case, distance did make the heart grow fonder, it seemed. Betty and Jughead soon found themselves to be academic rivals which somehow only seemed to make their relationship stronger.

They were the couple that wasn’t meant to last. The couple that was running on “borrowed time” (as Jughead so eloquently put it in a fit of anger). And yet, here they were, seven years later – walking hand-in-hand as if they’d just gotten together last week.

Isn’t this what people like us – who have gone through what we’ve gone through – do?”

For the second time Jughead’s words echoed in Betty’s head. It made her smile to see where they were. Walking in the same place where they had started. It brought a smile to her face which Jughead noticed.

“What is it?”

“The last time we did this, there was a killer on the loose,” she replied and he laughed.

“I mean, statistically speaking, there is probably at least one right now, too.”

“Shut up. You know what I mean.”

“It’s nice,” he agreed and she smiled, adjusting her hand in his.

They approached the diner. It had somehow remained the only constant in Riverdale. The sign was still lit up and the warmth from within welcoming as they entered. The jukebox was already playing softly when they walked in and Betty sighed, allowing nostalgia and a real feeling of home wash over her as she inhaled the familiar scent of burgers and coffee. You had to look closely to see any changes – the booths were slightly more worn, the jukebox dustier, the floor holding a few more stains – but it remained more or less the same. Jughead hung back to shut the door behind them as Betty walked forward towards their regular booth.

“Where’s Pop Tate? In the–” she stopped short when she turned around to face Jughead. With both hands, he was holding a small black box. It was unassuming but Betty stood with bated breath.

Somehow she hadn’t seen this coming.

But now that she thought about it, it all made sense: the nervousness, the insistence on going to the diner, Jughead constantly feeling his pocket throughout the evening.

“Betty Cooper,” he began and then paused and Betty saw tears form in his eyes. She stood there frozen, waiting.

“Betty Cooper,” he began again after swallowing a few times, “you have been everything to me. For seven years, you have been my rock, my support system, and the only person who has believed in and stood by me through thick and thin. When I told you my dad wanted us to come to Riverdale that wasn’t strictly true. Well, actually it was true – he did badger me to come,” Betty let out a laugh at this and only then was aware of tears in her own eyes, “but I more wanted to meet your family. Not your dad – couldn’t care less about him – but I wanted to meet Polly. I wanted to meet Polly so I could ask her if I could–” he paused again, words apparently failing him. Betty took a step towards him, raising her eyebrows, asking him to continue.

He swallowed again.

“Not that I need anyone’s permission or that you’re anyone’s to give away. But I spoke to Archie who spoke to Veronica, who spoke to Kevin and they told me that I should talk to Polly. I know it’s old-fashioned but you know, it’s me – I’m an old soul. Sorry, I’m rambling,” he said, looking away and hastily wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. Betty gave another laugh at this.

“It’s just… I never thought I would ever get… well, this. I never thought I could ever be so lucky. I never thought I would be lucky enough to meet my soulmate. Good god, this sounds cheesy as hell, doesn’t it? Sorry. I guess what I’m saying is: Betty Cooper, I had been irrevocably in love with you for the last seven years of my life and they have, without doubt been the best seven years a man could possibly hope for. With that said, would you do me the absolute honour and privilege of being my wife?”

She slowly came closer and, placing her hands on his cheeks –

And she kissed him.

No matter how unexpected this had been, she realised, in that moment, that she didn’t even have to think about what her response was going to be. It had always been there – at the tip of her tongue just waiting to be said.

After all, their love was one for the ages.

Request: Can u do a salvatore brothers + child!salvatore!reader where she is their descendent? Her dad just commit murder-suicide but she got saved at last minute. Child service listed the brothers as her only relative. Damon reluctantly took her in, being pressured by stefan who doesnt want her to end up in foster care. Idk whatever happen next is up to you. Thanks in advance.  A/N: srry it took so long im rlly bad at getting imagines done quick. also Y/l/n = your last name.

A/N: i suck ass i know. im sorry i havent posted in forever but dont worry, ive done a lot of writing over the past few days and i should be stocked up for the next few weeks. also, i know my transitions are shitty so i apologize for that but i am working on improving. love ya

Stefan’s POV:

“Come on Damon, you know that you don’t want this poor kid to go into foster care,” I exclaimed. “I don’t give a damn about that kid Stefan and you know it!” I let out a sigh, tired of fighting with Damon over this. “Damon she’s family, we have to take care of her,” I persuaded. “For all we know she could end up like her father and try to murder us,” Damon shot back. “Damon! Just because she came from a bad family doesn’t mean that she’s bad too, you of all people should know that. And I’m going to the Child Services Building and picking up Y/n whether you like it or not.“

Y/n’s POV:

“I’m sorry to say this Miss Y/l/n, but if Stefan and Damon Salvatore do not want to take you in you will have to be put in the foster care system,” the social worker told me. I felt my heart skip a beat in my chest, instantly speeding up rapidly. “W-what,” I whispered hoarsely, “I mean, do I really have no other living relatives?” “Yes, there are no other living relatives we know of,” she stated, exasperated. I nodded my head, my hands suddenly shaking. ‘Oh god, what if they don’t like me? Or worse, what if they hate me? Oh no, they’re going to hate me and I’m going to be stuck living with strangers who do drugs and don’t care about me at all-” My thoughts were interrupted by the front door of the Child Services Building opening. I saw two men, one with light brown hair and blue-green eyes and the other with raven hair and bright blue eyes. ‘What if that’s them?’ The social worker looked up and waved when she saw them. “Mr. and Mr. Salvatore,” she asked. “Yes,” the brown haired man answered. My heart started beating even faster, if that was even physically possible. As soon as this happened the raven haired man looked at me, his eyes narrowing as if he were annoyed by me already. “My name is Stefan, and this is my brother Damon. You must be Y/n,” the brown haired man I now know as Stefan introduced. “Uh, yeah I’m Y/n,” I confirmed. “Right, so we’re here to discuss the matter of you legally adopting and being the legal guardians of Y/n,” the social worker told Stefan and Damon. “Yes, yes, let’s get to it then,” Stefan replied. The social worker proceeded to ask them questions that would determine whether or not they were fit to be my legal guardians or not. After a brutal hour she finally found them fit to be my guardians.

“Can we take Y/n home now,” Stefan asked. “Of course go ahead,” the social worker told him excitedly.  “Where are the rest of your bags,” Damon asked irritably. “This is all I have,” I told him quietly. “That tiny bag is everything you have,” Stefan asked, concerned. “Well yeah, I didn’t have much to begin with and a lot of my stuff the cops took for evidence,” I explained. “Well we’ll have to buy you some stuff then, right Damon,” Stefan said. “Yup,” Damon answered emotionless, popping the ‘p’. “You really don’t have to do that,” I protested. “No, We don’t mind,” Stefan replied. I decided to keep my mouth shut and then we continued to walk to the car in silence.

“This is our car up here,” Stefan said, pointing to a car in front of us. I looked up from the ground and saw an old red car and was instantly mesmerized by it. “She’s beautiful,” I muttered, practically gaping. Stefan smirked. “Yeah, she is isn’t she?” I got in the backseat of the car and leaned my head against the window. “So Y/n, are you excited to go to your new school next week,” Stefan asked, attempting to make small talk. I felt my heart rate pick up for at least the millionth time today. “I-I guess. I mean, at least I might finally make some friends,” I whispered. My eyes widened a little as I realized I just made myself seem like a weird loner girl in front of my new family. “You mean you didn’t have any friends at your other school? Makes sense,” Damon said. I felt my face drop and I looked down. “Damon!” Stefan hit the back of his head making me smile. “It’s fine. It does make sense that the daughter of a serial killer wouldn’t have good social skills,” I piped up, hoping that if I defended Damon he would hate me less. “You don’t have to defend him Y/n, he’s just being a jerk,” Stefan told me. “No, it’s fine. I really don’t care,” I replied. “You can’t just not care,” Stefan said. I shrugged my shoulders and looked out the window. While staring at the trees passing by I felt my eyes begin to droop. I leaned my head against the window and let myself asleep.

I woke up gasping for air. I looked around me, making sure I was safe. “Woah, Y/n are you okay,” I heard Stefan ask. I looked up at him and nodded my head. “I just had a bad dream,” I explained quietly. I saw both Damon and Stefan’s faces soften. I looked down, ashamed that they had witnessed me in such a weak state. “If it makes you feel any better, I have nightmares too,” Damon told me. I looked up at him in surprise. “Really?” “Really.” “Do you want to talk about it,” Stefan asked me gently. I shook my head quickly. “I’m fine,” I assured them. I saw Stefan give Damon a look of worry before looking back at the road.

We got to their house, which might I mention was huge, in two hours. “Woah,” I whispered when I got out of the car. Stefan chuckled and opened the trunk, reaching for my bags. “It’s okay Stefan, I can get my bags,” I told him jogging over to get my bags. “It’s no problem, I need to show you where your room is anyway,” he replied. “Are you sure,” I asked. “Yes I am Y/n.” “Sweet Jesus, stop being so polite and one of you hold the damn bag,” Damon exclaimed. I flinched at the volume of his voice, instinctively stepping back. His eyes snapped towards me and he looked horrified. “Why did you- Did I scare you,” he asked me quietly. I shakily nodded my head yes. “I’m sorry,” he apologized. “It’s okay,” I whispered back, “it’s just that my dad used to yell a lot and it still freaks me out a little.” He looked even guiltier and I put my hand on his shoulder, silently assuring him that I was okay. Suddenly Damon pulled me into his chest. “Y/n I swear to god I will protect you from everything that comes your way, I promise you,” he told me. I felt Stefan join the hug too. “I’ll protect you too Y/n, I will do whatever it takes to make you feel safe.” I can tell I’m really going to like it here with my new family.

Beyond the Pale

Request: a story where Taehyung and Y/n are orphans from different families and end up falling in love, then getting adopted by the same man, so they end up living as bother and sister.

A/n: Okay so I thought it would be difficult to write this, but surprisingly it came out so naturally. I’m not familiar with how the child systems work so please excuse any mistakes. I’m sorry it’s taken so long to get out, but I hope you all enjoy ~ Kaitlin

Chan crushing on you !! // scenario

A bullet-point scenario starring Lee Chan/Dino !!

Feel free to request scenarios and reactions on my page :)

- Chan has grown up so much since his predebut days

- he isn’t a lil baby anymore and I CHOKE EVERY TIME I SAY THAT ISTG

- he’s become so mature and intelligent and sassy (courtesy of seungkwan) and charming and

- damnit

- he’s not even the same Chan we started out with in the Adore U era

- his growth over the past few years is just c r a z y

- a lot of times I sense that Chan doesn’t wanna labeled “the group baby”

- and he definitely wouldn’t want to have this kind of “baby reputation” when he’s trying to go after a girl he likes

- because oh man when Chan starts crushing on someone and the members find out

- he’ll be babied a whole lot more than he already is sorry chan

- let’s get right into the scenario :D

- the first day of your internship at pledis, you’re introduced to the group you’ll be working under

- seventeen !!!!

- and during your personal introduction, you can’t help but notice all the members acting…

- strange

- is it something I’m saying? My accent? Is there something on my face??? you think to yourself

- you’re so confused

- but after some more observations, you notice one thing

- the members keep on looking at one specific member

- and the ones who are right next to him are constantly nudging his arm

- the targeted guy’s face is stolid, but it breaks every once in awhile when he tells the other members to knock off their nonsense

- after you finish your own introductions, the seventeen members begin introducing themselves individually

- and the guy that everyone was bothering during your introduction eventually steps up to introduce himself

- “Hi, I’m Dino. Nice to meet you,” he says sweetly

- his brief sentence is followed up by quiet laughter and finger-poking at the poor boy

- “stop it,” he whispers to the others

- you don’t get it

- were they poking fun at him because of you

- and if they were, why??? why you?

- after your introductions, one member agrees to take you on a mini tour of the company building

- “hi, I’m Jeonghan,” he greets you

- you greet him with a hello and your name before you begin a conversation as you walk through your tour

- you guys get along comfortably, and by the end of the tour, the both of you are practically conversing the way best friends would

- as he leads you to building exit to end the day, he asks you

- “y/n, I know this is really random, but did you happen to see any of us members around the building when you first arrived today?”

- you don’t recall seeing anyone so you reply

- “I don’t think so, why?”

- “ah nothing,” he smiles but it appears he’s holding back a laugh. “I was just wondering…”

- did that have to do with the way Dino was treated earlier?

- you shrug it off for a little and head home after exchanging goodbyes with that nice tour guide

- but at night you can’t help but think of what happened earlier again

- even though you don’t know what all the fuss was with Dino and the other members

- it’s bothering you

- what did you do? was it even your fault? or was it his?

- you tell yourself to forget about it and start off clean on the first official day of work tomorrow

- when you report to the company building the next day, everything goes the way your internship advisor has said it would go

- you pick up your to-do list from your boss’s office and go off to wherever you feel like doing your work in the building

- and after spending a lot of time trying to find vacant places to work, you finally find the practice room to be empty

- you find it kind of weird because lol aren’t there a lot of groups under pledis that practice daily???

- but you go with it bc you’re not complaining

- it’s a nice room :D

- wElp s0rry, you were kinda right earlier when you said artists need to practice there because GUESS WHO DECIDES TO WALK IN THE SECOND YOU GET SETTLED

- “Oh, hello, y/n,” Dino greets you with a bow

- you do the same for him, but you can’t help but feel kind of awkward as he drops his backpack by the sound booth right next to your workplace and gets settled into the room

- “I hope you don’t mind if I play songs on the sound system for practice right now?” he asks you

- “oh it’s okay,” you reply. “I usually like to have a little bit of music playing while I work on things anyways.”

- “okay!” he replies cheerfully. “Just let me know if you need anything, alright?”

- aw this guy is so… nice?

- “thank you, Dino,” you smile

- “oh no, please call me Chan,” he laughs shyly. “I mean… Dino, Chan, it’s up to you, really.”

- “okay Chan,” you smile at your paperwork and get started with your tasks

- he smiles as he starts playing the first song

- you don’t know this but Chan gets this warm feeling in his chest when he hears your voice chime his real name for the first time

- ahgghh I can’t let the hyungs think they’re right, he thinks to himself

- promise yourself now, Chan, that you won’t end up liking this girl

- I mean pshh this is only your second time seeing her

- that weird thing in your chest can’t be anything significant

- right?

- lmao just wait, Chan

- so the both of you are pretty much silent in the practice room

- well besides the music playing in the background

- there’s no conversation

- it’s just you working on paperwork and Chan working on choreography

- from where you are sitting, you can see Chan’s phone hooked up to the speaker system on the sound booth

- and whenever you got curious as to what a certain song’s title was, you’d peek over from your desk to see his phone screen

- after awhile, you notice his phone practically blowing up with messages

- since the phone is so close to you, your eyes can’t help but read a few of them:

- Seungkwan: “tryna show off your dancing skills to the girl, hUH”

- Seungcheol: “I see you, Channie ;)”

- Minghao: “yo I didn’t think you’d actually like her, but I guess you do since you’re literally practicing dancing in the same room she’s working in on purpose”

- Jeonghan: “EY AEGI (baby in korean) GO GET ITTTTT~”

- you blush a little at the messages

- it was pretty obvious

- they couldn’t be talking about anyone else but you

- you look out the windows and doors and see if anyone’s peeking into the practice room, but there’s no one

- are they hiding or something?

- how did they know we’re in the same room?

- and does Chan… like me???

- you want to tell Chan that his phone is exploding with messages, but you don’t want to seem nosy

- so you sit quietly and continue your work

- but ofc Chan, being a little self-conscious around the new intern, glances back at you every now and then while he’s practicing

- he catches you looking at his phone

- “hey, is something wrong?”

- “OH nothing nothing!!” you panic and revert your eyes back to your papers. “I’m just… checking out the song titles, that’s all.”

- you technically weren’t lying because you had been checking the titles earlier, but you only told half of the truth so you’re still kinda guilty LOL

- but Chan believes you and flashes you another cute smile before continuing his practice

- you finish your work, and the both of you say goodbye before parting ways

- Chan decides to take a look at his phone after you leave

- and his mouth drops at the sight of all the messages the members spammed him with

- and they we’re all obviously about you

- he’s pretty sure you saw these messages too since they were sent awhile ago rip

- WHY DO THEY ALWAYS GOTTA PICK ON ME AT THE WORST TIMES, Chan would think as he covers his face with a hand

- he informs the members about this on the svt group chat

- Jeonghan: “Oh is lil aegi mad?”

- Mingyu: “dude what’s with the angry text?”

- Mingyu: “because we all know you got a little crush on her lmao”

- Chan: “BUT YOU GUYS”

- Joshua: “wdym”

- Seungkwan: “yeah calm down. it’s not like she saw them”

- Seungkwan: “right?”

- Chan: “…”

- Seungcheol: “shit”

- Hansol: “oh my god we’re sorry, Chan”

- Minghao: “lol guys we really fucked it up”

- Chan: “yes she was looking at my phone and she said she was looking at the song titles, but now I think she was lying”

- Junhui: “oh yeah she was definitely lying then”

- Junhui: “If I were her, I’d be more interested in those juicy texts than some song title”

- Chan: “I hate all of you”

- Jeonghan: “wait Chan”

- Chan puts away his phone and flushes red in anger and embarrassment

- he doesn’t wanna care about what happened because he doesn’t have any concrete feelings for you

- but at the same time he cares a lot because now it’s gonna be very awkward between you two

- what are you supposed to think of Chan after seeing those messages?

- a part of him wants to hide from you for the rest of his life

- but luckily, his mature side takes over and makes the decision to talk it out with you the next time you guys bump into each other

- a day or two later, Chan spots you in the hallway

- and he finds himself walking toward you

- here we go, the both of you think simultaneously at the sight of each other

- “hey y/n,” Chan greets you

- “hi Chan.”

- silence follows

- “look, about the other day… ugh I hate to be like this with you but… were you really looking at the song titles when I asked?” he gets into the questions right away

- you know exactly was he’s talking about, and you know you would feel guilty if you pretended to not know

- “oh, well yeah I was checking for the titles at first, but then… you got a few texts and-”

- “I know, I just want to apologize for… those,” he looks down to avoid your eyes

- “It’s okay! I know what it feels like to be in that kind of position where your friends constantly bug you about a specific person,” you explain sympathetically. Chan looks up at you again

- “oh, really?” he smiles. Wow, she actually understands me…

- you nod. “Yeah, I get it.”

- Chan sighs in relief

- “Maybe we should start again?” you suggest

- you hold out a hand and the both of you reintroduce each other with a handshake

- Chan would be so freaking happy when he clears that all up with you

- he’ll probably hit up the group chat again

- Chan: “I’m sorry for getting mad the other day”

- Mingyu: “now you come crawling back huh”

- Seungcheol: “hey he’s apologizing, just take it”

- Joshua: “no we should be apologizing, Chan. we went a little too crazy with the spam the other day and we’re sorry”

- Seokmin: “none of this would’ve happened tho if Chan hadn’t said y/n looked pretty when he saw her walking into the building on her first day”

- Hansol: “lol”

- Jeonghan: “SEOKMIN STOP”

- Minghao: “he’s kinda right tho, it all started there”

- Chan: “wow I come back to apologize and this is what I get”

- Seungkwan: “Seungcheol: hey chan, did the new intern walk in yet?

- Seungkwan: “Chan: I dunno, maybe. I just saw a pretty girl walking into the building a few minutes ago

- Seungkwan: “everyone else in svt: OOOHHH DID CHAN JUST CALL A GIRL PRETTY???

- Seungkwan: “ok I’m sorry”

- Chan: “it’s okay we made up. I explained everything”

- Wonwoo: “so are you guys friends now?”

- Chan: “I guess???”

- Mingyu: “:3:3:3:3:3″

- Soonyoung: “my boy”

- Minghao: “we all know you want more than that though”

- Chan: “bye I regret coming back to this group chat”

- with this new, clean slate, Chan would feel so confident about initiating conversations with you and joining you at work for mini hangouts

- and tbh he wouldn’t even notice that he’s been developing a legitimate crush on you unless another member talks to him about it

- maybe Soonyoung because he’s got the cutest hyung-dongsaeng relationship with Chan :’)

- you’d be hanging out with Chan in the practice room again when Soonyoung comes in to get ready for the performance team practice coming up in a few minutes

- knowing their schedule, you say your goodbyes before leaving the two dancers alone in the room

- Soonyoung turns to Chan and grins as soon as you close the door and depart

- “Chan, admit it. You like her.”

- “no no, I’d never-” the maknae shakes his head in denial but Soonyoung interrupts his sentence

- “then tell me why you’re always hanging out with her.”

- “I mean is it wrong to hang out with friends??”

- “there’s nothing wrong with ‘hanging out with friends’ but there’s a difference between that and constantly talking to a single person 24/7.”

- “what? What are you talking about?”

- “I see you texting y/n on your phone all the time, and as soon as she gets to the building for work, you guys meet up and hang out for hours.”

- “She’s not objecting to any of it though…” Chan shrugs and hides a smile

- “YEAH EXACTLY. So don’t give me that ‘I don’t have feelings for her’ bullshit because I won’t believe you,” Soonyoung narrows his eyes at Chan and shakes his head

- “okay fine,” Chan blushes. “Maybe I kind of like her…”

- “kind of??? Dude, you’re so whipped for this girl.

- so Chan accepts his feelings for you

- luckily, the way he’ll act around you won’t be too different from the way he treated you before

- except he’d be smiling a whole lot more when he’s with you

- it’s just because he can’t believe how lucky he is to be this close to his crush I’m crying how pure :’)

- the only other difference in hanging out with him while he has a crush on you would be ALL OF THE BABYING FROM HIS HYUNGS OMF

- you’d be having such a great time JUST with Chan, but then some member like Junhui would walk in and think it’s a f a n t a s t i c day to run over to Chan and pinch his cheeks to embarrass him

- “JUN HYUNG, PLEASE NO,” Chan would plead constantly

- his face would be heating up and you’d be there laughing at how funny his hyungs can be

- Chan would probably be annoyed every time this happens, but he’ll get used to it eventually sorry Chan pt.2

- tbh he wouldn’t really think of confessing because he’d love how perfect your friendship is with him the way its, and he wouldn’t want to ruin it

- so if anything, the confession would be by accident

- and ofc what kind of confession would it be without the help of his lovely, supportive hyungs ;)

- so one day, you come a little late to work and find svt practicing altogether in the practice room

- you don’t get to see all of them together very often, so you weren’t ready for the explosion of “OOHS” directed at Chan and you as you walked in

- “jeez, you guys are never gonna live this down huh,” Chan rolls his eyes at the cooing members as he comes over to you to give you a hug

- “again, it’s all your fault for not filtering your mouth when you first saw her,” Seokmin spills out

- “wait what?” you ask out of confusion

- Chan gives Seokmin wide eyes with the other members. Did he really just say that??? Chan panics

- Seokmin adds. “Whaat? You guys haven’t told her about that yet?”

- “NO WHY WOULD WE TELL HER,” Mingyu laughs at Seokmin

- “tell me what?” you quirk up an eyebrow.

- “NOTHING, HE’S JUST…” Chan reddens

- “HALLUCINATING, YEAH THAT’S ALL. I’M HALLUCINATING,” Seokmin awkwardly laughs and scratches the back of his head

- you face gets serious. “Out with it, guys.”

- “y/n, it’s nothing imp-” Chan tries to explain

- “Chan, cut the crap. Tell me what’s going on,” you say a little more sternly

- the maknae sighs

- “just tell her already,” Soonyoung insists

- “okay fine,” Chan says a little frustrated. “On the day you reported to the company building for the first time, Seungcheol was asking all of us to keep an eye out for you, the new intern, so we can let your boss know.”

- “I saw you walking through the hallways, but I didn’t know whether or not you were the one they’re looking for. So when Seungcheol asked us if we saw “the intern,” I told him I wasn’t sure but I saw a…”

- he pauses out of hesitation

- “a girl,” he says and looks down

- “umm… I still don’t get it?” you respond

- Chan hesitates again

- “a pretty girl is what he meant to say. He called you pretty and everyone went crazy over it,” Jeonghan clarifies

- “… really?” you ask

- Chan nods as he faces the floor

- you try to fight a smile but can’t seem hold in the feeling of flattery

- “to be honest,” you cover your smile with a hand as you begin to put a statement together. “I thought Chan was kinda cute when we first met too”

- Chan looks at you and his mouth widens at your words

- if y/n thinks I’m cute, does that mean she… likes me too?

- “OOOOHHHH,” the 12 other guys coo loudly

- he smiles

- maybe confessing right now wouldn’t be such a bad idea, he contemplates

- “well to be honest with you,” he starts. “I’ve always thought you’re…”

- the words are stuck in his throat

- “CHAN JUST SAY IT ALREADY,” Soonyoung yells from the crowd of members

- “CUTE, I’VE ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU WERE CUTE AND I LIKE YOU OKAY?” Chan covers his mouth after his confession.

- his words are followed by another loud cheer from the rest of the group

- you blush in embarrassment as the others rush to Chan’s side and cheer him on with hugs

- “he’s grown up so fAST,” Jeonghan fake sobs as he holds onto Chan tightly

- “don’t reject out little guy, he’s a great boy,” Seungcheol says to you and pats Chan’s head

- you look over to Chan and his face is as red as a tomato. His eyes are glued to the floor

- “I’ve liked you for awhile too, Chan,” you confess quietly, but everyone still manages to hear it

- and at the sound of your response, the members push Chan towards you, and your body accidentally collides with his

- he backs away a bit to take a look at your face

- “sooooo…. what now?” he asks awkwardly as he stands in front of you

- “hmm… how about coffee at the cafe tomorrow?” you offer with a smile

- Chan laughs lightly. “Meet up here at 8am and we can walk together if you want.”

- you nod and the members resume their cheering

- “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? HUG HER, CHAN,” Soonyoung screams again

- Chan opens up his arms and you come in for an extremely warm hug. He gently sways you side to side in his embrace I’M DEAD

- “NOW KISS,” Seokmin suddenly adds, but his comment is then greeted with light punches and hits from the other members

- Chan and you laugh at the suggestion

- “I think we’ve had enough of the babying today,” Chan says before he plants a soft kiss on your cheek

- “CHAN YOU’RE GROUNDED,” Jeonghan scolds him

Fireman!Dean x Reader

A/N: This is an AU inspired by the namesake movie. It doesn’t follow the same storyline, just the main concept.

A/N2: For those of you who read Fate, yes, the vintage clock in this fic is the same one. *wink*

Summary: Dean gets dumped and apparently it’s all your fault. That’s why he and Charlie decide that a little payback is not gonna hurt and, if it does, well… then it’s just karma.

wingwomen ch1 (trixya, shalaska) - lale

Summary: Trixie was pretty sick of watching her best friend, Alaska, pine over the school weirdo, Sharon Needles. But when Sharon Needles made friends with the new girl from Russia, Trixie decided she was finally going to give Alaska the push she needed into Sharon’s arms – and, hopefully, herself into Katya’s.

A/N: Someone prompted yesterday: “Million dollar idea: high school au where alaska and trixie are cheerleaders+ best friends who get crushes on goth misfit sharon and weird nerdy Russian exchange student katya who also happen to be bffs and they have to wing woman their way into both of them getting gfs” and I couldn’t stop thinking about it!!! Expect updates all this week, and Girls Like Dollies will resume at the weekend as planned!

“All engines running. Departing from Stark Tower in 5 minutes.”

“Control motors fully operational, weapons system engaged and ready. We are a go, Captain.”

Steve nodded back at Barton and Romanoff at the pilot seats. Then he turned around and saw Dr. Banner recalibrating the device to track down Y/N’s location. Or at least the coordinates of the last known vantage point

“FRIDAY, run a search for any weird gravitational occurrence, unusual magnetic pulls, and gamma ray signals on a 20 mile radius.” Stark commanded the AI as he himself got into one of his suits.

“Yes, sir.” The voice responded.

“Gamma ray signals?” Steve asked. Bruce looked up and explained it to him.

“Since the other guy responded to Y/N’s powers before, we figured there must be at least a hint of gamma radiation on her since it’s somehow connected. There’s a chance but it’s a small one and we’re taking every resources we have right now.” He said. “We’re gonna find her, Cap.”

Glitch In The Matrix Stories #32

I Had A Dream About That!

Some years ago (maybe 2009 or so), I was living with my friend Del, as well as our other friend. My friend Del (we were in our mid-20’s) had this older friend (probably 40’s) who would give Del work in assisting him with home construction, his business.

This guy had recently moved away from where we were living (California) to Utah, and had called Del up to see if he wanted to come down and work for him, and also to go back to his house in California, fill up a U-Haul and fifth wheel with some of the things the man had left behind at his house in California, and bring it with us to Utah. Del was excited to do this, and I wanted to come, too, so the guy said okay, and in a few days we headed to this guy’s house to empty it, and once we were all packed up and ready, we eventually headed out to Utah.

Now, along this trip over 2 states, there was at least once where I got a classic deja vu feeling, but something was off. I can vaguely remember what I saw when I got the feeling. I was looking at a motel we were about to stay in (in Nevada) and got that strong deja vu like I had seen this exact shot, but in my memory, my white car was parked in front of the building.

Of course, this couldn’t have been possible, because we took a U-Haul. My car was back in California. This turned out to be like an introductory whisper of a more extreme form of this I was about to experience.

Well, once we finally arrived at his house, I got that weird deja vu feeling again. I had seen this shot of his house before, but again, as my memory recalled it, my car was parked in the driveway. Again, that makes no sense! How am I remembering something that didn’t happen (my car being there), but parts of the memory are correct (his house, something I had never seen before)?

Keep in mind, those 2 deja vu experiences I just described were very potent forms of the classic form of deja vu we all know (with my odd twist to them, of course), but the next ‘event’ that happened was something I have never experienced, and really goes beyond what I can simply call 'deja vu’. There’s a definite sense you get when deja vu happens, and what would happen next spans quite a bit past that ’aha moment’ of a single deja vu moment.

So, we walk into the guy’s house and soon after he starts giving us a tour. Now, at this point, I was recognizing things in the house, but it wasn’t really consciously hitting me that I had seen all this before. When it finally hit me actually, it was a sort of weird, embarrassing moment.

The guy was saying something about something in the house, and I replied “yeah, you showed me that before”.

He stopped for a second and looked at me kind of funny, as did my friend, and I realized how @#$%ing weird and nonsensical the thing I just said was, but it was right at this point that I realized how I actually did experience this before. I had a dream about it!

Pinpointing when I had the dream is super tough for me, being that my usual memory is pretty crappy, and that I hadn’t even recalled the dream before until it came back to me now, when I was standing in the house I had the dream of. But I get a strong sense that I had the dream back at our house in California, maybe months before. I have a feeling I was on the couch in my friend’s room when I had it.

Anyway, luckily, they brushed off what I said (probably thought I was a grade A lunatic), and continued the tour. This is where it gets even more fascinating to me, and kind of proves that this wasn’t just that classic deja vu experience, but something I had a dream about.

At one point in the tour, we passed the first floor bathroom. Yep, this was how I remembered it in the dream, but.. I noticed that there was one of those thick, blurry windows at the far end of the bathroom. I distinctly remember that when I saw this bathroom in my dream, the window was not yet set in the pane. In the dream, the window was sitting on the floor against the wall next to the window pane.

I clearly remember this, because, in the dream, I went to pee, and I felt so awkward and uncomfortable, because just around the corner of the open window slot on the other side was the dining room, and everyone (the man, his wife, and Del, possibly more) was sitting at the dining room table talking, like they were sitting right next to me. In real life, this dining room and table were just where they were in the dream, around the corner, but the window was set, and there was no group sitting at the table when I entered it.

So I had seen this exact room before in a dream, but one distinct thing was very different.

This scenario happened again soon after, when we headed upstairs and he showed us what would be our rooms. When we entered Del’s room, it was just how I remembered it in the dream, but there was one clear, distinct difference. When we entered the room in my dream, Del’s big stereo system was in the room. In real life, he had left this big stereo system at home, back in California (this is just like me seeing my car at the motel, and outside the guys’ house).

Another big part of this that super fascinates me is that at some point that night, I remembered that in the dream, this man (I had no idea who he was in the dream) had come to our house in California and asked if we wanted to check out his new house. So, in the dream, he loaded us into his pickup truck, and we drove only blocks away to this house; maybe a 10 minute drive.

Of course, later in reality, my friend and I drove ourselves to his house in a U-Haul truck, 2 states away.

As crazy and interesting as all this is to me, there is one last part that really gives me goosebumps and a strong sense of wonder. I hadn’t even made the connection until years later, but my friend Del was a really oddball kind of crazy, funny guy. One of the things he used to say was, whenever our group of friends would talk about, well, most anything, he would get this crazy aha look on his face, and say “ohhh yeahh, I had a dream about that!”

He also always liked to look out at the stars for extended periods of time, always talking about UFO’s and aliens and stuff. In fact, on our way to Utah, before stopping at the motel, we stopped like goobers at a remote spot off the highway in Nevada near Las Vegas, and watched the stars for at least an hour, sitting in our car.

Now this last part is kind of silly, but still I can’t help but admit that it puts a twinkle in my eye, and a temporary suspended disbelief of what can be possible.

My other friend at the house in California had a girlfriend who claimed to be a witch. I didn’t know if she was full of hot air or not, but she was into it more than at just a surface level. I remember her burning sage with us at one point to remove negativity, and one time I vaguely remember her doing some kind of ritual in our backyard (I remembering seeing the stones laid in a circle outside, too). Anyway, I remember one time we were hanging out in the kitchen, I think, and she looked at him for a few seconds (like, looking him over) and said something like “I don’t think you’re from here. You’re an alien, aren’t you?”

Del looked at he for a second, then just replied “yeah”, in a classic, Del matter of fact way, where you really didn’t know if he was being serious or not.

Haven’t been able to reconnect with Del since I went back home to California from Utah days later. I found his Facebook, but I don’t think he’s been active on it for at least over a year. It appears he’s living with his older brother, though, which is nice for him.

Childhood Glitch

This is something that happened to me in the first grade, though I still remember it incredibly vividly. I’m wondering if anything like this has happened to anyone else?

I was in the gym with my class playing dodgeball, and was incredibly frustrated that I couldn’t catch any of the balls. Eventually, I threw my arms up in exasperation, hoping that someone would just throw me a damn ball so I could properly participate in the game.

That’s when everything stopped. Quite literally. A green ball came flying in my direction, and froze. Everyone froze in the middle of their actions, like a movie put on pause.

The world was eerily silent.

I looked around in horror for only about 3 full seconds before reaching up for the ball. As soon as my fingers wrapped around it, everything came back to life, unpaused.

I screamed, “You froze! You all froze!” This caught a few of my team mates’ attention, and they gathered around me, asking that I explain what I meant. I was frantically trying to tell them that they all froze mid-action. My peers tried to calm me, and told me it was only my imagination.

I got so overwhelmed, gasping and partly shrieking, trying to tell everyone that they were frozen, but no one believed me. My teacher eventually made me sit out to calm down, but I still swear to this day that the world froze in the middle of a dodge ball game.

I Have A Memory That Doesn’t Add Up

When I was a junior in high school my friend and I were at my house hanging out. We were eating a snack and watching Youtube videos. He then told me about how everyone in his physics class (I wasn’t taking physics yet) had to make a presentation on thermodynamics and somebody in the class had made a terrible rap video. We watched it and then he showed me the comments and explained that one of the comments was from somebody he knew and another he didn’t know and it was funny. Here’s the video. The comment from PlayaSlayaMedia is the one we didn’t know.

Fast forward a year, I began recalling this memory over and over, but I can’t ever remember which one of my friends it was that showed me the video. I kept thinking about it and it bothered me that I didn’t know who showed it to me, so I went to the only 3 friends that I would have had over after school like that. I showed them each the video (individually) and explained the comments before showing them the comments.

All of them said they had never seen the video before, and it really scared me. It’s two years later now and I still think about this all the time, and I have no idea of how to explain it.

I went to a small Catholic school, only 20 kids per grade. One day in 4th grade I stayed home sick and my mother received the strangest call. The principal was nearly in tears. According to the students, my teacher, and the bus driver, I was in school that day but disappeared after morning prayer. They thought I had been kidnapped and were contacting the police. My mother, confused, tells them there’s no way that I stayed home sick.

The next day, my classmates recalled conversations we had and everything. Everyone was shocked but glad I was OK and that was the end of that.

The Price (or Cinder-stiles)

So I went and saw Cinderella yesterday.

And then, because I’m me, I stereked it. With sciles bromance. And then it became almost 11k. I have a problem.

As always on his trips to town, his first stop is the blacksmith.

Not because he ever needs a blacksmith but because Deaton opened his own shop when he was fired from the Stilinski estate and Scott is now apprenticed there.

“He’s just finishing up something,” Deaton tells him as he enters. He doesn’t quite look up from his work but his face flickers into a smile. “Go wait in the back.”

Stiles nods agreeably and heads to the back room. The one time he’d tried to talk to Scott while he was working, they had both ended up with pretty horrific burns. And there may have been a small fire. Granted, they had both been twelve at the time, but five years later, Deaton still doesn’t risk it.

Stiles doesn’t blame him. The small fire had been fairly large.

“Jeez,” Scott says, swinging into the room a few minutes later. He’s already frowning. “Stiles, you look terrible.”

“C’mon,” Stiles replies. “Is that really how to greet your dear friend who you’ve not seen for almost a month?”

Scott pulls him into a rough hug but when they break away, he is still frowning.

“Has she been feeding you at all?” Scott demands and Stiles shrugs one shoulder but doesn’t stop Scott from reaching up to where he keeps his lunch on the top shelf.

“Technically, yes,” Stiles offers. His stepmother always makes sure to leave him enough food so that he won’t technically starve. Just not enough that he hasn’t dropped a considerable amount of weight in the eight months since his father had died. Not enough that he doesn’t dig into the half of a sandwich the instant Scott waves it in front of his face.

“I still don’t think you should stay there,” Scott grumbles, eating his own half at a much slower pace. “You know that you could stay with me and my mom. She worries about you.”

“You know I have to,” Stiles replies. He doesn’t bother to elaborate. They’ve had this conversation before. First, when his ever-so-lovely stepmother fired the entire staff (which at that point, had already whittled down to Scott, his mother and Deaton) and then every time Stiles manages to sneak away for half a day or his chores actually gave him a valid excuse to be in town.

Today it is to collect new parasols for his stepsisters. They apparently don’t have enough money to pay for any repairs to the house or to buy a sufficient amount of food so that he can eat properly three times a day but clothing and accessories, they can afford. His stepmother has a very selective idea of poverty.

“It’s my house,” Stiles finishes, as he does every time. “If she wants to stay there, she’s going to pay a price.”

“And the price is you,” Scott says and he’s smiling a little bit now. Stiles grins.

Kingdom- Chapter One

Gajeel has had the dream about dying for the blue haired girl for as long as he can remember. Which is weird, since he’s never met anyone with blue hair in his life.

Levy has always loved myths and legends. So much so, in fact, that she was currently getting her master’s in mythological studies.

What neither of them realized was that they were living a legend all their own.

“Common newbie, get out of the dick and join us” Jeremy x Reader

Pairing: Jeremy Dooley X Reader

Words: 1515

Warnings: Swearing, dick joke, idk

Don’t really know what this one is honestly, not keen on the ending but I didn’t know how to finish it, hope you enjoy anyway!

You were the newbie of the AH offices, and with being the newbie came all the teasing. Yes, you were amazing at your job, you were great at socialising, but you were new, young and a girl.

Geoff sat on the couch, phone up to his face, an almost angered but concentrated face.

“Never knew a girl would actually be good with doing anything with computers.” Michael laughed from across the room where he sat at his desk. You were currently fixing Geoff’s computer. He had got a bit too angry while playing 7 Days to Die and smashed one too many buttons on his keyboard, making almost all his files delete completely. Nothing was in the trash bin folder, nor could Ryan find any of them.

“You wife works here too, remember” you replied. Still clicking away at the computer, slowly getting back the files from deep within the computers systems.

“Yeah, and she’s dumb as fuck” he laughed before picking up his controller to set up Minecraft.

Soon the rest of the crew walked it, mumbling good mornings and an array of nicknames like ‘short ass’, ‘geek’ and 'pipsqueak’. Jeremy greeted you with your name, which always made you blush. You mumbled a quick “morning” back while you focused still on the computer. Your little crush on Jeremy grew once you started working for AH, you had been a fan before and had a small crush the little Boston man. Now you got to know him, you grew to really fancy him, obviously you made no attempt to make a move on him.

“Finally done” you sighed, looking back at Geoff who was now sat behind you on his phone. He looked up and smiled, standing up and walking towards you. He patted your back, “thanks kiddo”

“Literally no idea how you did that” Ryan said, still annoyed that he couldn’t fix it.

“I learned computer science more recently than you Ryan, some things have changed” you replied, “right anything else you idiots need fixing before I go back to editing?”

“Can you sit and hold the server for us, it always crashes if one of us holds it and tries to play.” Jack said,

“You want me to sit here for an hour while you play with blocks, when I should be working?”

“Sweet” you took a seat at the end of the row of computers, usually Lindsay’s desk but since she was out of the office it was a spare seat.

You logged onto your account and opened Achievement city for the rest of the guys to play. You put your character into Geoff’s house so it was out of the way and you wouldn’t be seen while they recorded. Thankfully, you could have your editing set-up up as well as mine craft so you could at least work.

They had been playing for around half an hour, completing tasks around the AH world. Suddenly Gavin and Jeremy started to laugh, well Gavin started to squeal and make bird-like noises. Jeremy looked over at you quickly, catching your eye, before he looked back at his screen and tried to contain his laughter.

“Jeremyyy” Gavin squeaked while laughing still,

“What have you done lil J?” Jack chuckled,

“You cheeky bastard” Michael cackled, his laugh getting louder the more he looked at his screen. In turn, they all started to laugh as, you presumed, they all went to look at what Jeremy had done in the game.

You sighed, now interested in what they were looking at. You hoped that when you moved in the game you wouldn’t crash the whole thing. As you got back to Minecraft you screen was black, apart from your hot bar.

“What the fuck” you asked, panicked that you had crashed the game.

Everyone burst out laughing, you made your character look around and you saw a small area of light as you looked up. Jeremy’s and Gavin’s game names shown above you.

“What have you guys done?”

“Come look at my screen, it’s brilliant” Geoff roared before continuing to laugh. You got up off your seat and walked over. Your mouth opened and you laughed as you saw a giant pink penis inside Geoff’s house. As you looked closer you saw your in-game name hidden behind the structure. Geoff moved his character to get to the top and peered down past a piece of glass into the shaft.

“Look there’s you!” Jeremy hollered, “little Y/N”

A chorus of laughter sounded, even you joined in a little.

“I was supposed to go unseen!” You cried sarcastically, you were trying to hide your character, not to get in the way of the video but now you were the video.

“Isn’t it weird Geoff, when you were y/n’s age she was still in there” Gavin stated. You looked over a Geoff and saw his face go red. “Alright I get it, I’m old!”

“I like the fact that Geoff now has a giant dick in his house” Jack noted, making everyone laugh again.

You went back to your desk to finish your editing, but when you got there, there was a part of the structure missing and enough for your character to get out. You saw Jeremy’s character come around the corner, holding the same colour block as the rest of the structure.

“Common newbie, get out the dick and join us” Jeremy said seriously, before cracking up as to what he said.

“And other sentences you didn’t think you’d hear today” Jack mumbled making Geoff wheeze with laughter.

The rest of the let’s play you helped Gavin make TNT to blow up Achievement city, just like multiple times before this video. Thankfully, before any damage had been done, you had saved the world so that Gavin’s damages wouldn’t be permanent. The rest of the crew were out of the centre of the city so you both got to work.

Gavin was placing them randomly but you started targeting the houses, you started with Michael’s, Gavin’s and as much as Geoff’s as you could. You couldn’t be bothered to go all the way down and back up from Ryan’s so you just placed some around the edge. Jeremy’s house was last, you left Jack’s house as you felt bad doing it to him. You placed it everywhere, even finding his secret basement and planting a few there.

“So, should we rap up this video?” Jack said, obviously getting bored of whatever task he was up to.

“Sure, let’s all head back to 'chieve city to finish” Geoff replied, flying over.

You and Gavin shared a look in real life across the screens, Jeremy picked up the look too and instantly became worried. They all were back and started panicking.

“What the fuck?!” Ryan pelted, trying to destroy the TNT but accidently set it off. You saw his going off so set off the one in each of the houses.

“Y/N no!” Michael yelled as he ran towards his house. It was too late as everything was blown to smithereens. You laughed manically as you saw their annoyed faces in real life.

“My poor house” Jeremy whined, “I trusted you, y/n!” He faked cried, which made you laugh harder.

Quickly as he could, he grabbed a Dimond sword and ran at your character, killing you almost instantly. You made some dying noises and let out a pained “I’ll be back” before you quit the game, making everyone else be dropped too.

They all finished their captures and headed off for lunch. Placing your headphones back on you continued to finish your editing, since you hadn’t actually done that much while through that whole recording. You clicked and typed away before getting startled by Jeremy as he stood up from the desk next to you, you thought he had gone for lunch with the others. He started speaking to you, you pulled down your headphones quickly,

“Sorry, say that again” You chuckled,

“You coming to grab lunch? Heard it’s your favourite today” Jeremy smiled, pointing with his thumb towards the door.

Your heart fluttered and cheeks blushed, “You know my favourite food?”

“Well, erm, you’ve mention how much you love it multiple times, it’s kinda just stuck in my mind I guess.” He stuttered the beginning before calming his words.

“Cute” Your grin widened, “But I’m good thanks, not hungry”

“Oh common, come join me”

You blushed again, you really needed to finish this load of editing so you could start the next. But Jeremy’s offer seemed so tempting.

“Alright, you twisted my leg” You laughed before throwing your jacket over your shoulders. Jeremy smiled as he used his hand to guide you out, you walked next to each other towards the buffet. Arms lightly brushing every so often and creating sparks inside you. Maybe he was just being a gentleman, maybe he just wanted to make sure you ate, maybe the energetic sparks you got from him and the blush that rose to his cheeks meant nothing at all. But maybe, just maybe, there was something else there.

“This could be it, Bruce,” Tony whispered to his friend as he stole a glance at the floating blue mind. “This could be the key to creating Ultron.”

They both chuckled a bit as the smiles grew at the thought. “I thought Ultron was a fantasy,” Bruce replied, the smile not fading.

“Yesterday it was,” Tony declared. “If we can harness this power, apply it to my Iron Legion protocol?” Tony added, still talking quietly to make sure no one else would hear.

The smile went away on Bruce’s face. “That’s a man-sized "if.”

Tony sighed at the argument Bruce made. They continued going back and forth on what if is, and Tony realized he had to convince Bruce to help him. “What if the world was safe? What if next time aliens roll up to the club, and they will, they couldn’t get past the bouncer?”

Bruce seemed intrigued but was still against it. He didn’t believe that it was a smart idea to go for artificial intelligence and not tell the team- granted, they only have three days to be able to do it. Tony had one last argument, one he was almost sure would convince Bruce. “I see a suit of armor around the world,” He started.

“Sounds like a cold world, Tony.”

“I’ve seen colder,” Tony deadpanned. “This one, this very vulnerable blue one, it needs Ultron,” Tony went to walk out when Bruce didn’t reply, he stopped only momentarily to leave him with one last thought. “Peace in our time,” He sighed and pulled his phone out. “Imagine that.”

The mass spectrometer chirped, informing you that your samples were ready. You stepped over to the machine and looked at the initial read out. Commander Spock stepped over to look over your shoulder.

“That looks promising, Lieutenant,” he commented. You nodded and proceeded to pull your samples. Spock must have been standing closer than you’d thought, because as you turned around, you bumped into him and dropped the tray, shattering the tray of samples. A fine mist evaporated into the air, and you dropped to your knees to clean up the mess. Spock knelt across from you to assist. “I apologize, Lieutenant Y/L/N. I allowed myself to be distracted by your findings, and didn’t realize I was standing too close to you.”

“I have more samples. It means more work, but I have more samples, thankfully,” you replied. There was no use being upset over it, particularly with Spock at fault. Being too emotional would compromise the working relationship that you’d developed with him. And what you’d said was true. There were more samples, and you had nothing but time on your hands. As you worked to clean up the mess together, his bare hand brushed against yours a number of times, each time eliciting an apology from him. And then Spock sneezed, distracting you from your clean-up. Your brow furrowed in concern. “Are you okay? I’ve never heard you sneeze before.”

A/N: This is the last part in this fic, however, I am thinking of doing an epilogue/sequel chapter(s) if you guys want me to. Originally I was going to tie everything up here, but then I saw some opportunities I could take with a slightly different storyline, so I’ve left things open-ended. Thank you to everyone who has supported me over this wild journey of 40K+ words in just over a month of writing!!

Ten months and seventeen days later…

June 24th, 2016

You’re sitting on your sofa, half-asleep and midway through binge-watching a random tv show on Netflix when your phone goes off.

“Hello?” you answer it groggily. You’re not sure what time it is, as you have blackout curtains drawn tightly over all your windows.

“Hey!” Will replies brightly. “You coming over to watch the draft with Kappy and I? Steph and Mitch just got here.”

Fuck. Today was the day of the 2016 NHL draft, and all you heard about it when you turned on the tv or scrolled through Twitter was how he was going to go first overall.

“Oh, um…yeah. I forgot that was today. I’ll be over in a half hour.” You end the call and toss your phone on the couch before leaning back and letting out a little scream. The last thing you want is to see his face plastered over every media outlet.

But that’s a lie. You’ve been secretly following his progress from the day you both left camp and began your professional careers. Not that you’d ever tell anyone that, as you’ve successfully convinced them all that you’ve moved on from him. The truth is, you miss him. And logically, ten months is more than enough time to get over someone you dated for a few mere weeks, but there’s no logic involved with your feelings towards him. You wish that you could just let go and move on, but a part of you knows that you’ll never be able to.

Sighing, you drag yourself off the couch and over to the bathroom to get ready. Fifteen minutes later, your hair is washed and dried in loose waves, you’ve put on some makeup, and you’re wearing an outfit that makes you look put together and not like all you’ve done the past two days is lay on your couch and watch Netflix.

You head down the elevator and out to the subway station. As you step into the car and sit down, you overhear a discussion between two friends to your left.

“Laine is definitely going first. The Jets will take Matthews.”

“Are you nuts, man? Matthews is first - he’s the Connor McDavid we never got. We don’t need a winger, we need another strong centre like Sundin.”

It’s like you can never escape him.

They continue debating about who will end up as the first first round pick, but you refuse to listen anymore. The ride to Union is only a couple stops, so you shove in your headphones and crank up the volume, turning your attention instead to the advertisements along the top part of the subway.

When you reach Union, you practically leap out of the car and squeeze your way through the throng of commuters climbing the stairs like zombies. Once you finally manage to get outside, you can breathe a little easier. The walk to Will and Kappy’s apartment is a short one, and once you get away from the train station, the volume of people begins to thin out. You’ve never been a fan of crowds, and yet here you are, living in a huge city.

The doorman nods at you. “Good afternoon, Y/N,” he greets you warmly. You’ve been over enough times to Will and Kappy’s place this past year that you’re now on a first-name basis with most of the staff in their building.

“Afternoon, Gerald,” you reply, and thank him as he opens the door for you.

A quick elevator ride up to the top floor and a short walk to the end of the hall and you’re there.

Will opens the door, his trademark grin plastered on his face. “Y/N!” he shouts, and immediately pulls you into a tight hug. “I missed you,” he says more quietly into your ear.

You pull away from him and roll your eyes. “You saw me less than two days ago, Willy.”

He pouts, sticking out his lower lip like a child. “Yeah, but I still missed you.”

You’re not sure where you stand with Will. After everything that happened at camp, you were feeling extremely alone and scared in a new city. Steph had chosen to play for Brampton Thunder, and Mitch had decided to play one more year with the London Knights, so you had no friends around to help you transition.

However, Will had been picked up by the Marlies, and their practice centre conveniently happened to be where you played some of your home games. Your paths crossed often, and the friendly nods and smiles from across the hallways in the Mastercard Centre turned into casual conversation over coffee, and then into watching hockey at each other’s apartments with Kappy often tagging along. The two of them had become your support system, but Will especially had been a rock. You feel like you could open up to him about anything - except for him, of course. You had to keep living the lie that you no longer cared that he had left you.

You sigh, and Will raises an eyebrow. He’s gotten very good at reading your facial expressions, and can tell immediately what mood you’re in just by looking at you. It’s slightly creepy, but also flattering at the same time.

“You alright?” he asks softly.

“Yeah, I’m all good.” You force a smile on your face, which quickly becomes genuine when Steph runs up to you, squealing in excitement.

“Steph!” you shout and she embraces you in a bone-crushing hug. You haven’t seen each other for several weeks, as you’ve both been busy finishing up your seasons, and you’ve missed her terribly. Not to say that your new teammates aren’t nice and that you haven’t bonded with them, but they just aren’t Steph.

“I have so much to tell you, girl. We need to hang out and get lunch soon - just us two.”

“Yes, for sure! You have to fill me in on everything. I want to hear all about it.”

She smiles. “It’s been so weird without you, I don’t really know how to describe it.”

“I know!” you exclaim. “Every time something hilarious happens, I turn to my right to tell you, and then I get sad when I realize you’re not there.”

“Aw, Y/N,” she says. “Maybe while I’m here we can rent out some ice and get Mitch and Willy and everyone out to play some pick-up.”

“Get Mitch and Willy to do what?” Mitch asks, coming up behind Steph and wrapping his arms around her waist. Steph blushes and he kisses her temple.

“Play pick-up with us,” you explain. “Steph and I were just talking about how much we’ve missed playing together.”

“Yeah, I’m down. I’ll ask around and see if we can get something set-up for this weekend.”

“Okay, awesome!” you say, and you and Steph grin widely at each other.

There’s forty-five minutes left until the draft starts, and you’re preoccupying yourself by helping get dinner ready. Instead of being lazy and ordering take-out or using the latest, ‘I’m a twenty-year-old that still doesn’t know how to cook but I need food’ service app Will has downloaded on his phone, him and Kappy have decided to try to make a meal for everyone.

It isn’t going well.

“Y/N, why is this sauce brown? I think I’ve ruined it. I swear it looked red in the picture,” Kappy whines.

You peer over at his pot, in which a dark brown substance is bubbling ominously. “I don’t think that’s edible.”

“Y/N! You’re supposed to help - not make me feel worse!”

Will laughs from the opposite side of the kitchen, where he’s chopping up vegetables.

“Well, I’m sorry Kappy. I don’t know sugar from salt, so I’m really no help to you.”

“Girls are supposed to be good at this stuff,” Kappy grumbles underneath his breath.

You roll your eyes. “This isn’t the 50’s and I’m not your housewife.”

“Yeah, Kappy,” Will taunts, scraping his vegetables into a bowl and setting them down on the counter beside both of you. “Besides, if Y/N would be a housewife, she’d be mine - not yours.” He wiggles his eyebrows at you and bumps your hip with his.

You scoff. “In your dreams Nylander.” You turn back to Kappy and the pot of charred sauce. “Kappy, you should probably scrap that - nobody’s going to want to eat it.”

“But-” he starts, but you give him a look.

“Yeah, okay. I don’t even want to eat this,” he admits in a defeated tone, bowing his head.

“Okay,’ you say, clapping your hands together. “New game plan. Willy, your vegetables are all cut?”

He nods and holds up his bowl proudly.

“Alright, so dump those into the pan with some olive oil and this,” you reach around Will to grab some spices they had bought. “And just sautee those or whatever until they’re cooked enough.”

“Yes ma’am.” He salutes you and starts drizzling oil onto the pan.

“Okay, Kappy. We’re going to make chicken parm.”

“I thought you said you didn’t know anything!”

“Yeah, I don’t,” you say, triumphantly holding up your phone and grinning. “But google does!”

Thirty-five minutes later, you’ve miraculously pulled together a meal, consisting of sauteed veggies, pasta, and some chicken that mostly resembles chicken parmesan. (There were no breadcrumbs, so it’s more just chicken slathered with sauce and mozzarella, but who’s to judge.)

“Guys, are you almost done in there?” Mitch hollers from the living room. He’s been asking every five minutes for the past twenty minutes if you’ve been done yet, and it’s getting on all of your nerves. He’s like the annoying kid in the car who can’t stop asking, ‘are we there yet?’ and drives his parents insane.

“Shut your mouth, Mitchell,” Will yells back at him, and there’s laughter from the living room. Kappy storms out of the kitchen to go threaten Mitch, claiming that if he asks one more time about dinner, ‘he’ll rip his head off.’

The oven beeps and you race over, tugging on oven mitts and pulling the trays of chicken out. Once you set them down on the top of the stove and turn the oven off, you lean back against the counter. You and Will both sigh in relief.

“Who knew cooking for people could be so stressful?” Will says thoughtfully. “I feel bad for my mom.”

“Yeah, same here.” You can hear Kappy and Mitch fighting in the distance, Steph and several of Mitch’s friends cheering them on.

“So…” Will says, leaning up beside you on the counter. “How are you doing?”

You furrow your brow, confused. “I’m good?”

“No, I mean like…with the draft and everything. Because, y’know…” he trails off, giving you a knowing look.

You plaster on your, ‘I’m fine’ face and shrug. “It doesn’t bother me.”

“Yeah, that’s a straight-up lie,” Will calls you out.

“Will, I’m fine. It’s not an issue.”

He rolls his eyes and crosses his arms over his chest. “Sure. Whenever a girl says they’re fine, they’re obviously not.”

You sigh and look down at your feet.

“See - I knew it!”

“What do you want Will?”

“For you to be happy,” he says honestly, and you look back up to see him staring at you. “You need to move on from him. What he did to you was shitty, and I hate seeing you hung-up on someone who’s only going to make you miserable.”

You bite your bottom lip, holding back tears. “I can’t,” you whisper.

“But you can,” he insists, turning towards you and taking your hands.

“I can’t.”

“Listen, Y/N. I can help you, but only if you’re willing to let me. If you keep shutting everybody out, then you’re never going to be able to get through this.”

“You can’t help, Will.” You drop his hands and wipe away a stray tear. “I’ve accepted that I’m going to feel this way for the rest of my life.”

“That’s because you’re telling yourself that you’re never going to be able to get over him. If you tell yourself that you can, then you will. You’re an amazing girl, and you can achieve anything you put your mind to. I’ve seen it and I believe it.”

You’re suddenly aware that Will is very standing close to you. If he tilts his face down a bit, your lips will touch. Your heart races - out of confusion or anxiety, you’re not sure. Before either of you can move, Kappy walks back into the kitchen.

Will takes a step back from you.

“Did I interrupt something here?” Kappy asks, raising his eyebrows.

“No,” you say at the same time Will says, “Yes.”

“Alright, I see.” Kappy smirks, and you glare at him. “People are getting hangry, I think it’s about time we brought the food out.”

Everyone eats as the pre-draft debates take place, watching as various network hosts argue over the top pick and place bets on who will be drafted to which team. Then, the program starts, the camera panning around the First Niagara Center, filled with young hopefuls and their families. Steph clutches your hand, and you squeeze hers nervously. She knows, even without you telling her, how much you still care for him. Even though you hate him for what he did to you, you still want him to succeed.

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. We will be getting underway shortly.”

The camera focuses on Toronto’s management staff and several nervous-looking players as the commentator reads out all the stats flashing on the screen. When his face pops up on the screen, your heart jolts, but you manage to keep a calm outer appearance. You can feel Will’s eyes on you. Ignoring him, you keep your gaze straight ahead, staring at the screen intently.

He looks cool and collected, no evidence of nerves or excitement written on his face. He sits, quietly observing everything around him.

The camera flips to Lamoriello, the GM of the Leafs. “For Toronto’s first pick of the 2016 NHL draft, we’re going to have our director of player personnel make that selection - Mark Hunter.”

Mark Hunter, a large bald man in a grey suit, steps up to the microphone. You feel your heart pounding wildly in your chest, and the sound of blood rushing through your head floods your eardrums. Steph grips onto your hand tightly.

“Toronto is proud to announce, from Zurich Men’s League Switzerland and the U.S. program, Auston Matthews.”

The crowd roars. The living room erupts in cheers, Mitch jumping up and doing a little dance, but you sit, rigid and unmoving on the couch.

All you can do is watch as Auston hugs his family before he climbs up onto the stage. He shakes everyone’s hand and then takes the Toronto Maple Leafs’ sweater offered to him.

As he slides the jersey over his head, the crowd cheers its approval.

It’s been decided: Auston is coming to Toronto.

[Epilogue: Part A]

Just like in the movies (Vatya) - nellie

A/N: I’m sorry to everyone waiting for more of Older. I swear it’s coming, but I’ve also been writing this ridiculous 8k one shot Vatya that’s basically just an excuse to put a bunch of my favourite tropes into a story together and I kind of love it so I hope you enjoy it too.

Thank you to Aliena for being the best beta ever. Also, Katya’s ex boyfriend story is not from my imagination, I shamelessly stole it from a musician I like who talked about it onstage once.

A story that is basically Sleepless in Seattle with more lesbian sex. Violet is a fashion blogger and Katya is the weird stranger who keeps emailing her for fashion advice.
