the new atheist gods

It is as simple as making dua to Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) for things to go the right in your life. The only thing that Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) asks in return is your gratitude to Him. Make it a habit to say “Alhamdulillah” at every good news or at every good turn in your life. Not to forget, be thankful to Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) for saving you from any calamity also.

In seeking to thank Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He), not only do you please Him, but you are sure to receive success in return – in abundance. Do not forget, Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) loves those who thank Him. Be grateful throughout your day. When you wake up in the morning, when you eat or drink, when you give charity and more so when you listen to the Quran, always say ‘Alhamdulillah’.

If we're going to have gods, we could at least have some mysticism too.

We may call her Kali, we may call him Apep or Aphophis, we may call it Entropy, but the god has a true and secret name, written in the cold equations of heat, and to truly know the god you must know the true and secret name. Each god has a true and secret name that holds their true nature.

And the true and secret name of Elua is “I”.

Drawing from this pantheon some more, here’s the god of evolution and natural processes in all their horror and glory. Sometimes it’s just flat-out more efficient to steal someone else’s resources, consequences be damned.

He’s the god of defecting from beneficial arrangements for your own short-term gain, the god of mind-altering parasites, the god of paralyzing toxins and necrotic decay.

No matter how horrifying his handiwork may seem, he’s not actively evil- he’s amoral, helping prey adapt to avoid predators while helping predators adapt to catch prey. His work keeps the world keeps going, but it isn’t always pretty.

Human’s have existed for hundreds of thousands of years or more. Even the oldest religion (Hindu) has existed only five thousand years. Therefore, over 10,000 generations have lived and died without knowledge of any of the teachings of our current religions.

Atheist God - Down Syndrome Babys Should be Aborted

Biologist and atheist Richard Dawkins is apologizing after saying that it is “immoral” NOT to abort babies with Down syndrome.

The University of Oxford professor took to Twitter yesterday to speak on abortion in Ireland, which is illegal. He advised a woman who wouldn’t know what to do if she had a baby with Down syndrome to “abort it and try again” because “it would be immoral to bring it into the world.”

Many of his 17,900 followers expressed outrage over the comments, which Dawkins defended as “very civilized (sic)” because fetuses don’t have “human feelings.”

He also claimed that people shouldn’t oppose abortion if they are meat eaters.

For European colonialists like Alfred, Lord Cromer, the British consul general to Egypt at the end of the nineteenth century, the veil was a symbol of the “degradation of women” and definitive proof that “Islam as a social system has been a complete failure.” Never mind that Cromer was the founder of the Men’s League for Opposing Women’s Suffrage in England. As the quintessential colonialist, Cromer had no interest in the plight of Muslim women; the veil was, for him, an icon of the “backwardness of Islam,” and the most visible justification for Europe’s “civilizing mission” in the Middle East.

New atheists say no to God in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — The sign “Atheists meet here” looked out of place with the tall administrative buildings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visible in the distance. A few dozen people milled around in the park nearby and chatted while some of their children sat cross-legged in the grass. A couple pointed and smiled at a quite different sign hanging from an apartment across the street: “We sustain the prophet.”

Dan Ellis, president of Atheists of Utah, reminded the crowd to remain cordial and friendly during the march. “When will we be eating babies?” someone from the crowd shouted facetiously, to laughs.

Despite the humor, the gathering represents a genuine clash of belief and nonbelief. The atheists were rallying during the national convention of the American Atheists organization, taking place over Easter weekend this year in Salt Lake City — which was also playing host to the Mormon general conference, one of the largest gatherings of the church. During the conference, local atheists assembled to march around the Temple Square walls. Former Mormons in the group signed official letters of resignation from the church, which they planned to hand deliver.
