the cycle
  • first: you listen to falsettos. you are crying now.
  • next: you listen to la la land. it cheers you up and you aren't crying anymore.

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

what if nursey’s always surrounded by leaves because the forest nymphs love him? so they always have a part of them with him to keep him safe from supernatural (and sometimes natural) danger. for example, nursey never gets bitten by bugs and they never crawl or land on him either, no matter how many leaf piles he sleeps in or how many mosquitoes there are around him. sometimes he sits outside and imagines that the leaves whirling around the wind are performing a dance for him, and whispers poems into the air, and the invisible nymphs love those.
