the loyalty in this group

OKAY I’VE JUST REALISED WHY I LOVE DAVID HAREWOOD’S INSTAGRAM SO MUCH

I have this headcanon now where james hangs around the DEO from time to time (when there’s no emergency bc he has clearance) and every so often he whips out his camera and snaps some of these amazing photos. j’onn tries to get him in trouble, but james insists that nobody will ever see it and kara seems to love it a lot so j’onn just kind of lets it go and threatens to kill james if anybody ever sees the photos

so then like, forty years down the line, alex and maggie are both retired, kara is still obviously supergirl just more part-time than before, and j’onn knows it’s time for him to retire from the DEO. so he emails james and he says ‘it’s time for everyone to see those photos’

so james releases the photos and a personal essay to like, the new york times or something and it’s one of the most profound pieces of photojournalism ever published. he writes about the humanity behind the special ops groups, the strong friendship and kinship, the loyalty and courage. he writes about how aliens can be more human than humanity itself, and how working together has been and always will be necessary for the sake of our survival and happiness.

james wins another pulitzer and a fuckin nobel prize probably and meanwhile alex and maggie’s kids are like ????????????????? why are you guys hanging out at a secret government organization????????????? why are uncle j’onn and aunt m’gann there with you???????????????????? iS THAT UNCLE WINN AND AUNT KARA AND UNCLE CLARK?????????????????? WHO WERE YOU?!???????!??!?????

The Secret To Shinhwa’s Longevity? The Answer is Their Leader, Eric Mun.

Eric Mun, one of the best leaders, if not the best, sets an example of what true leadership is. What has he done for Shinhwa that the group stayed intact, becoming the longest-running idol group in Kpop, with no disbandment & no member change?

Let’s start from the very beginning. After winning a street dance championship in the US, Eric was selected by Lee Soo Man in March 1997 & he debuted as the leader of the 6-member-group Shinhwa on 24 March 1998

In 2003, Shinhwa’s 5-year-contract with SM came to an end. At that time, many 1st generation groups faced disbandment, like H.O.T, Secks Skies, S.E.S. So it was expected that Shinhwa would disband too. Following the group’s contract expiration, SM wanted to disband the group & offered solo contracts to only some members. But Shinhwa’s aim was that the 6 of them would stay together as a group and could not be separated. So, Shinhwa refused the solo contract offers with SM, which was undoubtedly a shock in the industry. So far no artist had ever dared to offend the big boss of the Korean entertainment industry, and they were the first.

So, what did Eric do to avoid disbandment and keep the members together after the contract expired?

Eric, the leader who chose to keep his group together over money. His first priority was his group.

He was offered solo contracts that were FOUR times more than the other members. “Honestly, others would think about those offers for a month, but Eric rejected them immediately, just to let the members be together.”

Truthfully, how many people do you know that can make such sacrifice, whether in real life or in idol world?!!!! .. Eric could’ve said, ‘screw Shinhwa’ and then accept SM’s offer to double his contract 4 times on the condition that they disband Shinhwa and he go solo.. But Eric’s genuine love & loyalty for his group couldn’t be replaced by money or securing a place in SM. He turned down the offers IMMEDIATELY & & took Shinhwa to another company, which was even a great risk as they were leaving the big boss of kpop entertainment to start again in another much smaller company. The result didn’t matter to him as long as remained with the members.
imagine that Eric accepted those tempting solo offers, then we wouldn’t have Shinhwa anymore. The fact that the six of them are able to stay together now, Eric contributed A LOT to it.

and to Eric, his choice wasn’t a sacrifice .. it was the best decision he has made in his life.

After Eric chose Shinhwa over money & suggested moving to another agency, then came the next problem. Leader Eric had to fight for the rights to “Shinhwa’s” name.

After Shinhwa left SM among much controversy & refused to extend their solo contracts, then came a huge problem. The members needed to continue using the same name “Shinhwa”. But since SM still owned the rights to Shinhwa’s name, so Eric had to put himself through a crash course in legalities to resolve Shinhwa’s contract issues. Eric was the one who negotiated with the management and no one will ever know how much hardship he had to endure during the negotiations. Eric went to court against SM to retain the rights for Shinhwa’s name. He even studied law to find a way for Shinhwa to continue being active under the same name. (Bear in mind that he was only 24 years old back then!!) .. He paid a HUGE sum of his OWN money to buy the name’s rights.. Eric really went through hell during that period until in the end, Shinhwa won & left SM with the rights to their name.

Can you imagine that a young man in his early 20s, gave up on massively tempting solo offers and chose to go through hell & fight for his team just to remain with his band mates & keep the group intact?!!! .. who else can do such thing?!! .. what a true leadership & loyalty!

It’s also Eric who negotiated -alone- with other companies till he chose the best offer for his group. Then Shinhwa moved to Good Entertainment. But unfortunately, not so many people were pleased with that decision & so they tried their best to bring Shinhwa down, asking them to disband like what other groups did back then.

In 2004, a journalist once wrote an article heavily criticizing Shinhwa & blatantly used personal attacks on the Shinhwa members implying that they are failed musicians who try too hard with solo activities. He proceeded to slam Shinhwa with ruthless criticism, leading to a big media frenzy. It was then that Eric stepped up once again as the leader to speak out. He made a powerful reply to the reporter & published it on the Internet, asking for a more meaningful review. That reply of Eric went viral & found its way to the official school books in Korea, marking him as the 1st & only artist to have such feat. He ended the letter with: “It’s not so easy to see Shinhwa. If there’s anything, you can look for me.” & this line became very famous.

Here’s an excerpt of his lengthy letter..

WOW! such powerful reply! Eric might be 4D & act like a cute kid, but when someone or something threatens Shinhwa, he turns into a totally different person. totally dependable & trustworthy leader.

When Eric was at the peak of his success, being the nation’s flower boy after starring in the very popular drama “Firebird” in 2004, & dominating almost all CFs and he was dubbed the “CF King” .. Many thought that he would leave Shinhwa & there were many articles released that urged him to go solo & pursue his successful career as an actor & rapper away from Shinhwa.

“I remember a conversation I had with Eric over drinks back when we were filming Firebird (Phoenix). I said ’“It’s a good idea to go into acting. Anyway, you can only be an idol for a few years, just make acting your lifelong career”. Eric turned serious and replied “NO! I’ll be with Shinhwa for more than 10 years, for a lifetime. Please wait and see!”
- Firebird Director San Ray’s twitter (2012.03)

Eric strictly clarified to everyone what his top priority is, which is the group Shinhwa. Eric: “Shinhwa is everything. Without Shinhwa there won’t be the present me, and I would not meet precious friends and members who love me.”
Eric: “Shinhwa is our root and it has to be our core.”

This man’s loyalty & devotion to his group is simply unbelievable!

2008 - The group hiatus due to military service. Eric is always the leader who knew how to keep his word.

In 2008, Shinhwa held their last concert before the 4-year hiatus due to the army enlistment. In that concert, they promised the fans that Shinhwa will come back after all members finish their military service. “Shinhwa will come back, please wait for us”

But .. during those 4 years of military service hiatus, Shinhwa was on the verge of disbandment. So the dependable leader Eric stepped up again to keep their promise to the fans & keep the group together.

and that’s how Shinhwa came back to us again, thanks to Leader Eric who lived up to his position as the best leader & the big brother to his group members and brought them together again. Couldn’t be more grateful to this AWESOME man! he’s truly a man of his words! .. Thanks to him, we have Shinhwa today!

Eric: “Shinhwa must go on forever. Even if there is no company that wants us, we might just form our own company and carry on.”

In 2007, some members left Good Ent. (the company Shinhwa moved into after SM) & many people thought Shinhwa were going to disband. But the loyal leader Eric stepped up again and assured that Shinhwa will go on forever even if there’s no company that wants them, Leader Eric came up with the idea of forming their own company! He’s truly the leader that thinks ahead & seeks for what’s best for his group! to this extend he’s so loyal & dedicated to Shinhwa!

Eric’s efforts to gain the full rights to Shinhwa’s name.

But .. to establish Shinhwa’s company, there was a serious issue needed to be resolved. Shinhwa didn’t have the full rights to their name yet, since SM handed over the full rights of “Shinhwa’s” name to Jun Media Ent. in 2005.
So before establishing “Shinhwa Company”, leader Eric went through a very tough time & had loooong negotiations with Jun Media to use Shinhwa’s trademark. And finally, after reaching an agreement, Eric’s dream came true & Shinhwa Company was established in 2011, marking Shinhwa as the first & only idol group to establish their own agency with their own name & personally run it.

But due to many legal issues concerning Jun Media, Shinhwa filed a lawsuit and leader Eric went to court against Jun Media in 2012. He went through hell again with many trials & appeals & temporarily changing the company name to “ShinCom Ent.”. Until finally In 2015, Shinhwa won and gained the full rights to their name after 12 years.
This man, Eric, used to show up in varieties, all smiling & laughing, acting 4D & as 3 yrs old kid, while he had such huge burden over his shoulders, fighting for years for Shinhwa to continue with their name. He makes me speechless!

The members expressed their gratitude & thanks to Eric as he was the one who struggled the most during the the whole process.
Such a dependable Leader!

The leader that always thinks of Shinhwa as family.

Eric has always been the dependable big brother to all the members. “I always think of the members as my real brothers”. And as a real brother, Eric is always there for the members when anyone of them faces troubles & does his best to help the members out.

Eric, to help Minwoo out, gathered the members & suggested that everyone of them contributes a sum of money so that they help Minwoo overcome his financial trouble as loyal brothers.
This man continuously sets examples of how true friendship should be.

When Eric earned a large sum of money in CFs, he split up his pay and supported other members who had financial difficulties. When he was dominating CFs, he called the members to his house and gave them bonus money. He’s also filmed CFs originally meant for himself but he got the company to include the rest of the Shinhwa members.

Shinhwa’s appearance for China gag concert in 2015 was originally meant to have Eric as the only guest, but he refused & told the production team that if it wasn’t a SHINHWA segment, he wouldn’t attend. So, Shinhwa as OT6 was casted instead.

One of the things that make other groups disband is when the members care more about their solo work than the group itself.
Then comes leader Eric, who leads by example. For his solo activities, he always thinks of “us” before “me”! his group always comes first.

To Eric, Shinhwa always comes as a top priority even before his solo work. When he does a solo activity, he does it because he knows it will benefit the group itself, not doing solo to shine away from the group. He does his solo work to promote Shinhwa.

Even when he gets a solo activity, he never decides on it by himself… Eric will first get the agreement of the members if there is something he wants to do for himself. If there is a solo activity that he wishes to do, he would first gather the opinions of the members & seek the agreements of all the members first!!.
Seriously who ever does something like this?!!!! .. such an attitude of his sets an example of what made it possible for Shinhwa to promote separately and together.
Eric: “Rather than my solo activities, Shinhwa’s activities are more important.”

another secret to longevity? it’s the leader’s genuine care and support to the other members’ solo activities. Eric always sets an example for others to follow.

Dongwan: “Eric always thinks about every member, and seeing how he helps make us take care of each other.“

Eric has always been a truly supportive & selfless Leader. Not being selfish & focusing only on his solo activities, but he always helps his members in their solo careers, showing ultimate support & encouragement to them & happily agrees to feature in their albums, and always expresses how proud he is as his members are doing great in their solos. While staying at home, he keeps on monitoring their performances & giving them very useful feedback & advises.

Eric: “Aside from our group activities, I’m really happy to see the members do well in their solo careers. If I can offer my help in any way, I’d like to help them continuously.”

& what does he gain in return for his massive help & as feat. fees in his members’ albums?! .. Pizza or sunglasses :D

Eric, the leader who leads from behind & puts the members in front. He doesn’t like to stand out and always stays away from the limelight, happily giving it to the members.

and there is always that noticeable thing about Leader Eric. He has always been supporting Shinhwa from the back since debut. Never been bossy. He always stays away from the limelight, happily giving it to the members. You’ll find him standing quietly in the interviews. So humble & quiet to the extend that many people are still not aware that Eric is the leader of Shinhwa. This is because he is a man with few words and doesn’t stand on the front of the group. His true features of taking care of his people shone brightly as him working behind the scenes. But when Shinhwa encounter a problem, he takes the front line, protecting the group & the members.

and after all of this, it’s expected that Eric will be thinking highly of himself as one of best leaders, if not the best ..
but ..this man is so humble to an extend you can’t believe!

Another thing about Eric is that he never thinks highly of himself!! he’s one of the most humble people you can ever meet!!. Like he’s one of the best leaders, if not the best, the loyal, selfless & dependable leader that has been keeping Shinhwa for such a long time in the industry & still, he doesn’t think that he does something extraordinary!!

Seriously, how can he even be this humble?!!.. Eric, you’ve been setting standards of how ideal leadership is!

Whenever someone praises or says something nice about him, he’ll do some funny stuff to cut that person off & move to another subject. Like what he did in Shinhwa’s latest concert when Dongwan thanked him for his great efforts in getting the full rights to Shinhwa’s name back. Eric kept on kissing Dongwan to cut him off.

Or when someone praises his outer looks, & it’s known that Eric is one of the most handsome Korean celebs (he was dubbed Korea’s handsome representative) but he never brags about his handsomeness for even once, and when others tell him that he’s handsome, he’s gets so shy & flustered & tries to change topics.

and even though he’s the mighty Eric, with more than 20 years in the industry, regardless of his fame, he remains the humble Eric who still bows 90 degrees to even the hoobaes & the fans. Forever humble as Day 1. Eric really sets an example that no matter how famous you are, you should always be humble & down to earth with everyone.

The leader that always thinks of Shinhwa before himself !

& he also doesn’t think he’s doing something extraordinary!!!

and even during his solo activities, he seizes every chance to promote Shinhwa & the other members’ solo events.

Then there is this amazingly meaningful quote of Eric, that makes me feel so lucky for being a Shinhwa Changjo ..

“It’s impossible for Shinhwa to disband now even if we wanted to. Shinhwa doesn’t just belong to us, it also belongs to the fans and people who love us.”

To any group, before disbanding, think deeply of this quote. Your group doesn’t just belong to you, it also belongs to your fans & people who love you!

Now.. With every anniversary we celebrate with Shinhwa, the group that debuted in 1998 & still going strong with no disbandment & no member change, let’s forever remember that the main reason behind this is Eric, the best leader we could ever ask for. The leader who knew how to keep his group intact & overcome all troubles they’ve been through since debut. That troubles that could’ve easily made any other group disband.
Eric always puts Shinhwa as a top priority over anything else .. To him, the group always comes first. He really lives for Shinhwa!

“Eric is really like an otaku. If he gets addicted to something he’ll bury himself at home but after we left our first agency, as the leader of Shinhwa, he became the otaku of Shinhwa. Even now, he worries a lot for Shinhwa and is also in charge of dealing with external matters. He is a leader I’m thankful to and can trust.” - Dongwan

Thank you leader Eric for all of what you’ve done & still doing to Shinhwa. Thank you for keeping them as forever six .. thank you for always protecting us, Shinhwa Changjo .. Thank you for always protecting Orange .. Thank you for always protecting Shinhwa Company .. Thank you for always choosing Shinhwa over anything else no matter what the temptation is .. Everyone of us appreciates your great efforts & dedication for Shinhwa. Plz continue on leading Shinhwa for more anniversaries & more success. 2gether 4ever, walking on the same road. Never apart, friends till the end. ♥♥

#HappyEricDay ♥♥  Happiest birthday to our awesome leader Eric ♥♥

What is ProjekTFealty? What is Horizon?

ProjekTFealty is the direct result of our goal to represent an underrepresented/ misrepresented/ ignored group of people.

We humbly swear our loyalty and the use of our talents and voices to provide hope, inspiration, and a safe haven to our community.

Our first project, ‘HORiZON’, is an exercise in a retroactive approach to remedying the demonizing of POC, LGBTQ+, and the disabled within a popular narrative.

This free –not for profit– work will attempt to heal a fandom and restore the representation that united and inspired a vast group of multinational fans.

In Horizon, our goal is to stay true to the world we all loved while giving the fans not only what they deserved, but what they were owed; accurate characterization, equal representation, and the follow through on a promise made and affirmed for over 2 years.

This is our humble attempt to fix the mistakes of a callous show runner and an indifferent network.

How are you going to do this?

We’ve already done it!!! We’re in the final stages of completing this epic multimedia experience.

Our writers are currently finishing a 13 episode season rewriting the entirety of season three.

Our artists are turning written scenes into amazing illustrations.

Our musicians have already composed original themes and scores for our episodes.

How can I get involved?

If you’re interested in getting involved, in whatever capacity, send us an email/ask/message with your interests and talents.

This isn’t a huge project and we want people who are willing to volunteer their time to be aware that this current project is already in progress and thus we have specific needs and assignments for you.

Right now, we are looking for a few talented artists to help alleviate the burden on our artists, who are AMAZING, but overworked at the moment.

Will this project focus exclusively on rewriting the Clexa scenes?

No. We are rewriting season 3 in its entirety and focusing on not only LGBT representation but also POC and other underrepresented groups.

Without giving too much away, this project isn’t just a rewrite. All of your beloved characters will get the storylines that they deserved.

What platform will this rewrite be available in?

Audiences will be able to access content on our website which is currently under construction.

Can we talk about this moment?
How Daryl’s loyalty is just screaming from this scene. The devotion to his group. He is willing to give his blood in order to save what’s left of his family. Remember, he just thought everyone was dead after prison. Seeing Rick, Michonne… just imagine.
Daryl just went full Christ mode, willing to sacrifice himself to redeem the sins of people he loved.

These wings on his vest are not only for sheer aesthetic effect, I tell you.

Daryl Dixon is a saint. An angel. He will go down, sacrificing himself for what he loves.

(Edit: thanks people for such enormous reactions on my post. Note that the gif is from @hypernovadust ;) Love ya, guys. Fight the dead!)

anonymous asked:

if you couldve written the episode how would you have done it?

Keeping it as close to canon as is reasonable, here’s the changes I would make:

For starters, I wouldn’t have it so that Eobard decided to keep the Legends alive.

As someone (I forget who, sorry. Maybe @kendrasaunders?) pointed out, Eobard was willing to kill Cisco, who he loved like a son, for maybe being a liability in his plans. He likes poetic justice, but he was trying to kill Barry as a child to extract someone that would later become a thorn in his side. He’s not the guy who says “hey, let’s keep our enemies alive for funsies”.

But then again, I think there would be easy to write around. Eobard needs Martin alive because he needs his brain. Beyond that, it appeases Mick to keep his friends alive, and Mick did get them the spear, so the legion is like “yeah sure, until they become a problem, but we’re not letting them totally off the hook”. The Legion finds the Legends frustrating, but honestly it’s not like there’s any huge animosity between Eobard and most of them (like Ray??? Jax??) or between Malcolm and most of them (except Sara really) and Damien is just… Damien.

So Mick ensures they don’t end up in any true horror versions of their lives (because really, being a janitor isn’t going to be Ray’s “worst nightmare” or “personal hell”, he’s just unfulfilled. Nate’s life and Jax’s life seem not great but not horrific except that Eobard is threatening Jax). The Legion wants them dispersed and not happy, but Mick makes sure they don’t end up totally fucked.

Damien can still be all for taunting Sara by keeping her under his employ with Amaya, but I’d prefer them not to be so sexualized and submissive, personally. I get that Damien’s a complete creep though.

Damien doesn’t get to keep the Flash’s head as a trophy. Write a few throwaway lines about how Eobard killed the Flash after regaining the speedforce and how satisfying it was for him. Make it so that Cisco and Caitlin are there and adore Eobard and are friends with him. He mentioned missing them, after all. (And have a line about why he hasn’t returned to the future yet, or make it so that’s in his plans for after he destroys the spear?)

I liked Malcolm’s personal perfect world but I’d prefer there have been no mention of Nyssa unless it was something like “she’s dead” because forcing her into the closet was pretty terrible. I’d have preferred they say something to the effect of Oliver Queen dying on the Queen’s Gambit with his father, or else never grew up beyond being a spoiled rich brat who is bff’s with Tommy.

I would’ve had Len and Mick doing their thing but had Len express boredom with how easy stealing is, acknowledge he’s maybe made a mistake. Have him share his own frustration while trying to appease Mick. “We don’t get to have the rush of a real chase anymore unless we re-write reality. And guess who doesn’t want us to do that.” Set up Len vs. Eobard before Eobard calls him, and then have Eobard call him “speak of the devil” and ‘summon’ them.

That’s when it could start to become clear that the Legends are alive because of Mick, and make it so that Len helped negotiate on Mick’s behalf.

Maintain some of the rest of the episode. Someone save Brandon Routh from that terrible weird 90′s style janitor thing.

Have the entire team argue about whether to trust Mick. Have Ray and Amaya stand up for him against Sara.

Have Jax torn: we were a team man.

Mick: he was my partner. You’d do the same for yours. (referring to Martin)

Jax shaking his head, hurt: No… I wouldn’t.

Have that be a moment where Mick realizes that loyalty to a group and loyalty to one person really do look different. Loyalty to an ideal. He’s not fully ready for the realization yet, so he reacts a little too knee-jerk and tells them to go, he’ll stay behind, they don’t want him anyway. Have Ray and Amaya look hurt but accede to his wishes.

Then have Mick call up Len, and when asked if he’s been cut loose, have Mick say… “I cut them loose. I don’t know how to be on a team.”

Make it poignant but more his choice. Make it clear he’s sad he doesn’t know what he’s doing, or how to make this right.

When Len and Mick go to the Legion, Mick has a demand. “The Legends live. This time, when we re-write reality to get rid of that speedster, we’re giving them better lives so they aren’t miserable enough to need fixing.”

The Legion argues but Mick puts his foot down. If they want his help, this is how it’s gonna be, and they wouldn’t even have the spear if it weren’t for him. Possibly make Damien and Malcolm demand that Sara at least has to die, if he wants the rest of his friends to be happy and whole, and possibly allow Mick to agree. Show that there really is bad blood there, but make it clear on Mick’s face that he’s sad/ashamed to agree to that.

Then Mick shares the details of the Legends’ plan etc, and we head toward the battle.

Which goes down roughly the same way? Except when Mick picks up the spear, change the dialogue. Have Len ask for it, but have someone else deliver the line about Mick being a good boy. This could go either way. It could be someone on the Legion, like Eobard manipulating them, or Damien or Malcolm being pissed about the situation. Or it could be a Legend, Sara, saying it scathingly.

Amaya would still interject that she believes in Mick, no matter what he does.

Mick would glare at whoever called him a good boy, and still ask Len if that’s how he sees him, as an attack dog and Len would still deny it. Except Len wouldn’t derogate his intelligence. He’s say something more along the lines of “you’re the muscle and I’m the brain and that’s how it’s always been, but it’s always been equal – we’re partners.” And that would harken back to a line Mick said before about being the muscle while Len is the brain, which itself was a prison break reference/allusion. But it would be a parallel that gets at the same idea without insulting Mick.

And then Amaya would say “and we’re your team.”

Len: “they change reality and I die, mick.”

And Mick would toss the spear to amaya. “i’m no one’s dog” he’d say to Sara or Eobard or whoever delivered that line. “i’m no genius either. but i know enough to know that a team – that means something. you knew that too, when you died. you taught me that. i have to make right what i ruined. amaya, fix this.”

and she would, and len would shoot her, and instead of saying what he did he would instead say, “i’m so sorry mick. it was her or me.” (because it is, in his mind, and that makes it explicit that he shot her out of defense of his existence and not just to hurt mick).

aaaand yeah, then end the rest of the episode the same way, so that the lead in to the finale can still be the same.

I wouldn’t change anything with Rip except to either make that more comedic or less. It was in a weird middle ground….

GOT7 Turbulence in Houston! (Mark Was Coming For Me?????)

I just stumbled upon your blog and thought I would share my experience at the Turbulence fanmeet. Also I wanna say that this blog is pretty cool. While I don’t doubt my favorite groups’ loyalty to and love for all of their fans, it is still nice to see that all fans receive hella fan service and attention.

Ok so I’m just gonna get right into the nitty gritty because I had a lot of interactions (surprisingly) and I have a lot to say!

So I interacted with 6/7 boys during the concert!!!! 6/7!!!!

The first person to look up at the balcony was Bambam. I actually didn’t wave at him that time because I wasn’t paying attention. I only smiled and it was a bit delayed so idk if he saw that. Honestly he was probably paying attention to the girls next to me who had screamed his name to get his attention.

All of the boys except Jackson looked up during the encore, homerun, which is my favorite song now (lmao). First was Mark. He looked up and was dancing with us and hyping us up. I think he was really amused by the girls next to me because they were dancing extra hard. Lol they were super nice and cute! Oh and although I’m not sure about where they came from exactly.

Mark was looking up for a long time, and you just know when you make eye contact with someone, right? Like I swear as I was up there turning up to homerun Mark was staring into my soul and we were vibing off of each other. Don’t get me wrong, I’m positive he was looking at other people on the balcony, but I know when he looked at me and we had a moment. He was looking for so long that I literally crumbled for a second because I couldn’t handle that mess lol! My mom was like “this little boy is flirting with you!” Then Yugyeom comes over with Mark and is dancing and looking up. At this point I’m shook because of Mark and then Yugyeom has the audacity to smile up at us like some angel and dance with us?? I was done. But got7 wasn’t done lmao. Mark is leaving, but this boi turns his head to get another look as he’s walking away (like he wasn’t looking for so long already). Next was BamBam I think. Yugyeom was still there, but he was looking at the audience on the ground. BamBam looks up and I wave and point at him because I missed an interaction last time. He pointed back with a smile and nodded like “I see you!” Mind you, I’m fangirling but still dancing too lol. I think Yugyeom looked up again when BamBam was looking up too. Next was Jaebum! He looked up and looked a little surprised to see us?? Like he was surprised there was a second floor or something lol idk. But he looks up and smiles at us because we’re all dancing our butts off and mouthing the lyrics as best we can. He lifted his mic and made a little “Oh” or something and started smiling so wide

A little bit later, Jaebum looks up again and starts doing the dance move the girl next to me was doing and we all were screeching and dancing lol it was so cute! Next Jinyoung came and pointed at us and started bopping a little harder lol. Last was Youngjae. He just looked up and smiled and pointed cutely. He’s so beautiful. I don’t have any videos, but if you look at other fancams, you’ll be able to see when the boys look up to the right (the audience’s right). Anyway, the only person who didn’t look up was Jackson, but I saw him whisper in Yugyeom’s ear and then Yugyeom immediately ran to our side and looked up at us so I do wonder if he actually saw us. The girls next to me got Jackson’s attention backstage because we could see backstage perfectly where we were seated on the balcony, but I missed it!

Before I talk about hi touch I just wanna add that the flirty subkulture entertainment staff members were coming for both me and my mom (she looks my age lol). I kind of stalked this blog before getting the courage to submit my own experience and saw a lot about them too lol.

Anyway, now to hi touch! (The order is probably wrong, but I’ll try my best to remember). When we get on stage, we first see Jinyoung. I hi five him and say hi while smiling because I’m excited as hell and he smiles back so animatedly that I was a little shook. Next was Youngjae I think. I’m not 100% sure. I didn’t say hi to Youngjae I only smiled and we were hi fiving but the line stopped moving, so we were just stuck with our hands pressed together! So I decided I would say hi and thank you and he made this cute little awkward noise in reply lol. Idk what to say about that??? But he’s so beautiful like I love me some Choi Youngjae.

Next was Jaebum (I think) and I get to him and he smiles so hard all of his teeth are showing and his eyes turned into crescents. He raised his eyebrows at me “like oh, I saw you on the balcony.” Like he recognized me?? They’re all so beautiful idk how I kept my chill but I did!!

Then it was Yugyeom? I am about 5'8/5'9ish and I had to look up at his fine self a little. He’s so hot y'all! And his smile was so big and beautiful.

Next was Jackson. I was a little disappointed because I couldn’t get his attention during the concert, but boiiii he came thru during hi touch!! First of all, his hand was low with the palm facing upwards so I had to place my hand in his like some princess or something. I said hi to him while smiling and I kid you not, his eyes got big and he said a little “oh” or something. Then he proceeded to kind of check me out (not subtle at all). He was looking at me with stars in his eyes!! Like, I didn’t know what to do with that. As I was going to BamBam, mine and Jackson’s gazes kind of lingered on each other’s and I was dying on the inside!!!

So, I remember saying hi to BamBam, but I think that was all as Jackson had literally just snatched me and I was trying to re-secure my wig! Last is Mark. Mark Tuan. I get to him and look into his gorgeous face and say hi and thank you for coming and his hand is like Jackson’s so this is Princess Hand Holding 2.0. Let me just say, Mark had a very sweet and warm aura. Like he’s very approachable I guess. But as I look at him he is looking back at me and licks his lips (I know it’s a habit of his, but the timing was just fatal) and says in his deep voice “no, thank you for coming.” Unlike Jackson, Mark was gripping my hand even though the staff was saying don’t. His thumb was also kind of rubbing the back of my hand??? And I was like Mark??? Boiii are you good??? Don’t play with me like this! Since my brother was after me, I spent a couple more seconds with Mark because I knew he wouldn’t rush me. But I guess I was more nervous than I thought because I couldn’t get any words out and we were just looking at each other. Lol so I knew it was probably getting weird for him and if i lingered too long, the staff would’ve basically tried to kick me off stage so I started walking away. Here’s what really got me. I had to let go of his hand because he wasn’t letting go of mine!!!! A lot happened in that handful of seconds I had with Mark. (I also think when you’re seeing you favorite group, things can feel slower than they actually are? Or maybe that’s just me?)

So I was chill during the entire hi touch, but once I got off stage, I was finally realizing how snatched and shook I really was. Like I just stopped at the stairs and kind of freaked out a little bit before really leaving the stage. And listen, my brother was after me, and he told me Mark was still glancing at me as I left and said “what’s up” but was only kind of paying my brother attention as he said it!!!!!! My mom and I look like sisters and I thought it would be funny if one of the boys tried to flirt with her but she was up there with a super mom aura, almost babying them because they looked tired. Lol it was so cute.

But yeah, that was my experience. And I’m not gonna give you guys a sob story, but I’m kind of sickly, so I don’t get to do much. With that being said, it was a blessing that I could go to this event and even more of a blessing that Got7 made it so so so memorable. The entire fanmeet was amazing and so were the boys and the igot7s. I wasn’t expecting to be treated like that. This was also my first Kpop event. Got7 are fan service kings; it is out of this world and I was shook with a capital “S.” Like every time I see them on videos now, especially Mark or Jackson, I get shookt all over again lmao.

And I was struggling with choosing a bias but Mark was always as the top of the list and he sealed the deal! He was like “quit being an unfaithful hoe. I am your bias.”

I’d also like to add that my brother has social anxiety, but Jackson, Mark, and Youngjae were so friendly with him, giving him dap and saying wassup that he was so happy when he left. It was an amazing experience and I would 10/10 recommend going to their events,

Pentagon’s Hogwarts Houses + Personalities

A/N: An anon asked me to sort Pentagon into Hogwarts Houses and also describe their personalities as help to make them choose a bias. Therefore I took to my trusful potterhead friend @interstxllr for some help. Hope you enjoy!

Gryffindor

Jinho

Okay, so the reason why Jinho was put in Gryffindor is the intense amount of passion that lies in this house. Jinho was a trainee for 8 years before he debuted, but never gave up – which is a confirmation on the fact that he’s extremely passionate. Other than this, Jinho is the oldest member, he’s very calm and has a lot of self-irony (especially about his height). All the members are very fond of him and his talents and he is never looked down on despite that everyone are literally taller than him.

PASSION. HE HAS THE GRYFFINDOR PASSION. He pours his heart and soul into performance. It is his cause. It’s honestly like that boy was meant to be on stage, or even that the stage was made meant for him. He loves performing so much, especially dancing. He makes choreographies for Pentagon. He’s honestly such a little kid, he’s so lovely and smiley and everyone likes him so much. Hyunggu manages to keep positive even though he is running on one hour of sleep just because he wants to perform well.

Wooseok

Honestly, he just looks like a Gryffindor. Give him a red and gold scarf and some extra long robes and he’s good to go. He is just an all around good guy who has that drive and passion that Gryffindors need. Wooseok is also very calm and I guess you could say: soft. He’s a very heart warming person who is impossible not to like.

Hufflepuff

Hui

Hui is kind and thoughtful and always has a bright, positive energy to him. He has a very rounded personality with traits from all houses, but just because he has such a pure soul and wants everyone well, Hufflepuff is the best house for him. Other than this, Hui is extremealy charismatic on stage and has an amazing sense of humour. He’s always around to cheer people on and make them feel well. A very typical optimist honestly.

Yeo One

This one is a textbook Hufflepuff. Kind, caring, making sure EVERYONE is okay and happy. He is a pure soul, plain and simple. He might have undertones from other houses because he is very cheeky sometimes. Changgu’s eyes shine so bright when he smiles that you get lost in them like the stars in a ngiht sky. He cares so much about the other members and the fans and just cheers everyone up and is positive and present at all times.

Ravenclaw

Hongseok

Hongseok very meticulous (precise) and organized. He has the Ravenclaw need for planning and routine. He’s also extremely intellectual, full of knowledge and speaking several languages. Hongseok is the mom of Pentagon and he is apparently the only one who cleans in the dorms. He is also really charming and witty off stage in their backstage videos.

Yuto

He is a very honest person which lands him a Ravenclaw. Not to mention that he’s really smart. Pentagon members have stated that he’s one of the most diligent out of all of them, which is very typical Ravenclaw. Moving on, he’s somewhat quiet and shy at times, but can also be very comfortable and even flirty at times. His stage presence is insane where he can end up looking scary as hell, but when he gets off, he becomes a lil cutie again.

Slytherin

E’Dawn

One major Slytherin trait is the ability to manipulate your actions and your persona in order to fit in or get what you want. Hyojung and E’Dawn are like two different people, where Hyojung is a laid back and weird composer who does what he wants and stays true to himself – and E’Dawn on stage is different, where he acts towards getting the reaction he wants. Moving on, he’s a freaking dork, and he’s very well known for screaming in a high pitched voice and having cringey aegyo. Despite this he has the cutest smile and is a very soft and kind person.

Shinwon

Shinwon was very hard to place into a house and it came down to Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff (they actually share a lot of traits). Shinwon is more of a Slytherin though, as he has more traits like ambition and loyalty vs. Hufflepuff traits. Personality wise, He might be one of the most awkward AND sweetest members. Very much tol noodle and boyfriend material (have you seen him in big coats wow).

A lot of people would put him into Hufflepuff, but Slytherins have that extreme loyalty to their specific group, just like him. He is the purest cinnamon roll of all Slytherins and very clever and silly. He speaks of China a lot and is very hard working and strong.

This is my submission for @negans-dirty-girl‘s 4k writing challenge! I’ve never written anything other than my multi-chapter fic, so this was new and difficult for me, but I really enjoyed it. I hope you do as well! I know it’s supposed to be a Negan fic but I had to put a hefty amount of Simon in there too after meeting Steven Ogg this weekend and remembering how much I love Simon.

Characters: Simon & Negan x Reader

Words: 1,871

Prompts: Raincoat, Make a Wish, and/or Silhouette (could pick one, two, or all three - I decided to do all three)

Cautions: just language & a bit of violence

It was cold, it was wet, and you were pissed off.

Separating from your group had proven to have dire consequences, even though you knew it had to be done. Landon had become unpredictable and emotionally volatile, and it was only a matter of time before he put your entire group in danger. You had also noticed a change in Keira, and you weren’t sure who she tied her loyalties to anymore. As the newest member of the group, you were almost certain if anything happened and they needed a scapegoat or a sacrifice, it would be you.

So you ran.

Hello there. It’s me again, NQS, lead proofreader and co-founder of NijiNiji Nikubou Scans. I don’t pop up much but there are times like this when I feel that I need to make my opinions known.

I’ve read the comments for the HOC chapters posted on mangago, both the good and the bad (and there were a bunch on both sides of this matter) so I would like to address some of the things that are being said.

There are a bunch of comments saying some variation of “Why are you people being so rude?” I am also wondering this.

As a member of the group that people are displaying loyalty to via sternly worded comments, I want to say that I am honored and greatly happy that you enjoy our work so much. That being said, just because we are working on something does not mean it is off limits to everyone else. That was never the way we felt about any of our projects and if some of the things we may have said in the past have lead people to feel that way, then we are sorry as that was never our intention.

Every group, or individual, is more than welcome to work on whatever project they wish. We take no offense to other people release a project that they worked so hard on, even if it is a project we have been working on also. Our group has never believed that different versions of the same release are a bad thing. There are many ways to handle each step in the scanilation process and every version brings a different interpretation to the reader, and with that, the chance to have a version they prefer over others for various different reasons. We have released our version of projects that were already completed by other groups in the past because we genuinely loved those mangas and, even though the process is still as difficult as any other project, it like a treat to ourselves to work on something we love so much. So who are we to deny that same enjoyment to other groups.

Every group who completes a project deserves praise from the readers who enjoy their hard work, not derogatory comments from people who believe they did something wrong.

We are well aware that our releases of HOC have been non-existent for quite sometime. This delay is not because we’re being lazy about it or because we don’t care about the project, far from it actually. There were many bumps along the road for us and HOC. From cleaners vanishing without a trace to major script rewrites, and we apologize for all of that, but sometimes there are things that are beyond our control to a certain extent and there’s no merit in stressing over things you can’t easily change.

In that respect, we actually are thankful to the group who did this release as it gives readers the chance to continue to enjoy something that we have not be able to supply them with as quickly as we would have liked to.

When our leader, Nina, said that the person who released the HOC chapters didn’t ask us if we dropped it, she was not trying to insinuate that they should have done that. All that she meant was that we don’t believe that this person “stole” HOC from us in anyway because, due to the long gap in release, it might have been their assumption that we may have dropped it. We don’t expect other groups to stalk our tumblr page to figure out the status of our projects.

Regarding us dropping projects; It’s important to let it be know that the projects we dropped because of other groups picking them up were not done so out of anger or frustration. The decision to drop those projects were due to us having many other projects at that time and our members not having an extremely strong emotional connection to said project. Our dropping things are more a matter of, “this other group is gonna do it now, people will be able to read and enjoy it, so we can take it off our list and focus on other projects.” If we feel especially strongly about a certain project, we would keep doing it just because we love it so much.

In closing;

No, we are not upset that this translation was released.
No, we don’t not think that we own this manga just because we’ve worked on it in the past.
No, we are not dropping HOC from our project list.

Yes, scanilation can be hard work.
Yes, scanilation is still really fun despite that.
Yes, even the projects we love the most frustrate us at times.
Yes, we would not be doing this if it wasn’t something we enjoyed greatly.

Everyone please, stop badmouthing this release on our behalf. We are not upset about this and you shouldn’t be either.

The Charmer pt2: They Called me Charmer

Part 1

It was very late, she hadn’t bothered going out of her quarters to get food because she didn’t want to talk to anyone. She didn’t want to answer questions, or feel people staring at her. However it was 3 AM and she was ravenous, so a trip had to be made. Part of her wondered if they were just trying to starve her out and that’s why they hadn’t bothered with stocking the fridge in her room with food. If that was their plan then it was working. She got in the elevator and pushed the button for the fourth floor. There was nothing to do in her quarters but cry, sleep, and stare at the ceiling. If the kitchen was empty, she’d cook something, she promised herself. As the doors opened and silence greeted her it seemed she was all alone and luck was on her side for once. She padded over to the fridge and started pulling out the ingredients for her favorite dish. It made her feel more at home to have the familiar spices wafting around her as she cooked. It was almost like she was at home again, getting ready for a night-in to pamper herself and get her mind right for the coming work week. She supposed this was much the same. Whether she liked or not, this was her new job, and they’d been nice enough not to immediately demand she tell them absolutely everything. As she gave herself this mental list of things to be grateful for, the elevator opened to Wanda who, upon having a nightmare, decided to venture down to the kitchen to have a snack. She was surprised to smell seasonings filling the air and the sound of someone rustling about the kitchen, all of the other Avengers had a pretty good sleep schedule, and if they didn’t well they didn’t go eating at 3 AM. Except for maybe Tony but he had his own kitchen and rarely bothered coming to this one. Wanda stepped quietly around the corner and recognized the woman they had brought here, largely against her will. From what she heard from Tony she’d spent the whole day crying until she went to sleep.

“Hello,” Wanda greeted to announce her presence. She didn’t really want to spy on the woman. Y/N jumped then whirled around, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.”

“It’s alright,” Y/N answered, she turned back towards the counter and continued her task. Wanda didn’t really know what to say, so she went to the fridge and started scouting for a nice midnight snack. After finding her snack Wanda left and for that Y/N was immensely grateful. She finished cooking, washed her dishes and retreated back to her room, leaving things as if she had never left her room to begin with.

In the morning, Natasha along with several other people came in with boxes. Y/N watched the people move, from her place on the sofa, observing them motionlessly. She assumed the boxes were from her apartment, and after they left she got up and confirmed her assumption. It was nice to see that all of her things were there and in the condition she left them in. Unpacking was something to do, and she took on the task happily. As she found the box with her clothes she let  out another sigh of relief. She could get out of her work uniform and into something more comfortable. As she dug through the boxes she found her favorite graphic tee, and some sweatpants. She decided to shower, but not before carefully checking every surface for cameras. When she was sufficiently satisfied that she wasn’t being watched, in the bathroom at least, she undressed and showered.

2PM Hogwarts Houses

Requested by @kpop-fangirling. <3

Jun.K – Gryffindor – Minjun makes bold statements with his music as he tries to leave his mark in the industry. He prefers to cut a path rather than follow others. Though a gentleman to all, he’s especially courteous toward women. While normally pretty genial his demeanor can turn sour if he feels slighted or disrespected, though it doesn’t take much to smooth his ruffled feathers.

Nichkhun – Gryffindor – He’s athletic, outgoing, and usually up for any challenge. In fact he loves them. While Taec is the shield of the group, Khun is the sword. Often he will be the first to step out and test the waters of a situation. He is always very polite and considerate of those around him, though he does have a temper and can be impetuous at times.

Taecyeon – Slytherin – Certainly intelligent enough for Ravenclaw, it’s his savvy nature that lands him in Slytherin. Taec is eternally mindful of how situations impact himself or the group, for better or worse. He’ll take the necessary time to weigh the possible outcomes before acting. Though he wouldn’t resort to underhanded measures, he knows it takes more than luck and a strong heart to get ahead.

Wooyoung – Hufflepuff – Though smart and wily, he’s not as inherently competitive as a Slytherin or Gryffindor. He seems content with the level of success they’ve achieved and simply wants to enjoy it as a group. Wooyoung’s deep loyalty speaks of the familial bonds he’s created in his heart. He often takes into consideration the other members’ preferences whenever possible and tries to keep the peace.

Junho – Slytherin – While most people in the entertainment industry are ambitious, Junho is especially so. He has a strong drive to be successful not only as 2PM but to be noticed for his individual talents as well. One only has to watch him on variety shows to see how cunning he can be when put into competition with others. He thinks outside the box and is not above playful sabotage to come out on top.

Chansung – Ravenclaw – While Taec uses his brains as a means to propel his life forward, Chansung is geared more toward intellectual pursuits for the sake of understanding the world around him and becoming a better man. And while those thoughts continually swirl in his head he’s learned not to articulate them because people don’t always understand his curious leaps in logic, which he finds frustrating.

It is almost Shakespearian - no matter how nasty and vile they get ultimately they will be defeated by there own failings . They completely underestimated; the group , the individual strengths (not the best singer), the support-family, fans, industry peeps, social media, changing social attitudes, loyalty, kindness, friendship and love. They had endless resources focus groups and analysts but couldn't see what they had and what it had the potential to be. Pulitzer winning story ready to be told.

Starlight Questionnaire Results!

Hey everyone! I’m finally ready to release the results of the Starlight Questionnaire and I’m really excited to do that but first I want to give a brief explanation of how you should interpret the results.

I closed the questionnaire at 240 entries because the data was starting to get a bit unmanageable and I figured that it would make a decent sample size. But of course, this was a sample of convenience (aka survey) and is certainly a better representation of Starlights on tumblr than on any other social media site. 99% of all the numbers were calculated with excel and I would be happy to share that data with anyone who is interested. (Although to be honest it’s pretty messy looking.) Most important thing is to take all these calculations with a sizeable grain of salt–I found patterns because I was intentionally looking for them. It’s very possible that these patterns disappear with a larger sample size. Even so, I think there are some interesting patterns here and I hope you’ll enjoy them!

so in the books at least, voldemort has a protective spell around nagini to stop anyone murdering her, until he kills harry, at which point he releases it as he figures she’s not in any danger

under the assumption, i suppose, that harry was the only one who knew about the horcruxes and that nobody else would want to kill him if harry wasn’t in the picture?

like, this guy does not understand the concepts of friendship and group loyalty at all, does he.
