“Xavi is a player who has the Barcelona DNA: someone who has the taste for good football, someone who is humble and someone who has loyalty to this club. From the first moment I saw him play, I knew he would become the brain behind Barcelona for many years to come” —
“He is this team. Unbelievable… He may not be the star with Messi about, but for me he is this team’s Heartbeat.” —

Well, my graphic may be 2% less crappy than the one on my last Follow Forever…progress, eh? ;)
Anyway, somehow I managed to surpass 500 followers - I still don’t know how that happened, but THANK YOU ALL!!! I appreciate everyone who follows me and I appreciate everyone I follow. I wanted to show some love for my favorite blogs - if you’re not following these lovely people, why not?!?
As a disclaimer, yes, I am a Culé, yes I follow some Madridistas, but they’re all quality people and one shouldn’t let one’s choice of club loyalty determine how you feel about them as a person. If I excluded them I’d be missing out on a lot of lovely people (including my best friend!), so…that’s that. :)
If you didn’t make this list, I’m sorry! I follow a lot of blogs (387 at the moment, to be exact) and everything starts to run together after a while. Just know I appreciate you if I follow you, and if I don’t follow you and you follow me, I appreciate you too. :)
Mutuals are in italics, favorites are bolded - really, in a world full of lots of dusty lumps of coal, you’re all diamonds, but some shine just a little brighter than the rest ;)
Before anyone else, I have to mention my best friend, bastiansbabe - she’s a kind, sweet, intelligent, wonderful human being and you should all be following her :) :) :)
“There are role models such as Benedikt Höwedes. Every club needs a player like him. Fans especially need someone like him. He shows with his heart, the true passion and pride of wearing his club colours”
Happy 28th Birthday Benni.
Almost six years ago this smiley brown haired boy caught my attention. And he has kept it ever since. Every one has their favourite player, one who is special; because of their talent, their attitude, their character, their loyalty or their personality but Benni has all of that. I originally “picked” him because I thought he was a great defender (and then the smile…and the freckles) but he never fails to surprise me with all those other qualities that make him great. His loyalty to his club, the club he says he loves, is second to none. He’s turned down some of the best clubs in the World to stay at Schalke because of that love. To do that winning trophies would be understandable and as a Schalke fan where we sadly don’t do much of that, it’s admirable and loyal and an amazing feeling to see someone who loves our club so much, turn down so many to stay, because of that love.
It’s a testament to his character.
A character he has shown countless times. Labelled the weak link in Germany’s World Cup squad he defied all his critics, not by speaking out against them but by letting his performances do the talking for him; by being one of only three players to play every single second of the competition. By playing every game in his third best position and going on to lift that trophy and being Schalke’s World Champion.
I could literally go on and on. My love for him has never once waivered in the almost six years since I picked him. And I am forever glad I did.
honestly iker had what was arguably his worst season at this club and even after all the doubt and whistles and booing he continues to reassure us that he wants to stay and he will stay and he even goes as far as saying he’d be happy if de gea were to come honestly iker casillas is a blessing and anyone who questions his love and loyalty to this club is an idiot
Pharmacy assistant here and okay I just have to rant bc I’m so annoyed/mad.
Head office is a joke. Our club loyalty system was $1=1 point and 200 points=$10 voucher. Awesome, yeah? Well when I started, I was signing almost 20 people up each shift. Which was awesome because I was reaching our monthly store target on my own.
Now, just before Christmas, head office changed it so that you have to reach 300 points. Bit of a leap, yeah? And so I had to deal with the backlash and explain it blahblahblah. (And it’s also been harder to sign people up so I’m down to like 8 or so per shift)
And now they’ve just decided that nothing in the 8 page catalogue that runs for three weeks each month counts toward club card points either. So I’m going to have be the one to explain to people why the $89 they’re spending on a walker can’t count toward their points.
My manager agrees with me that it’s fucking ridiculous and has actually emailed the big boss at the top about it - but if this is actually finalised, I’m not going to go out of my way to sign people up anymore. Right now the only big benefit we have for the system is that you don’t have to carry a card because we can search for names in our database. There’s literally no other benefits.
TLDR; Head office are idiots who get to make these dumb decisions but don’t have to deal with the confrontational backlash :)))))
The memories and experiences I’ve had over the past 26 years I wouldn’t swap for anything in the world.
I’m a very lucky boy and I am also proud of what I’ve given back - the sacrifices, the dedication and the loyalty. Liverpool Football Club have been unbelievable for me since I was eight years old.
This club has helped me fulfil my dreams over and over again. I enjoy a very strong relationship with Liverpool Football Club and I don’t see that coming to an end. I hope to serve the club again one day.
There’s been huge pressure and responsibility on me but I’ve always loved and embraced that. I’ve never seen that as a burden.
It’s been a massive honour to be captain of this club for so long and it will be right to the end. I’ll be a Liverpool fan to the day I die. I’ve lived my dreams.
