the literal doctor

i left the house at 1pm to go to the student health center, which didnt have the equipment needed, so sent me to the ER, whose waiting room was completely filled so i went to an urgent care clinic, which couldnt take me because i dont have government ID, so i went back to the ER, waited 4 hours, finally got called back into the hospital, & have been waiting for another 2 hours to see a doctor. literally been trying to see a doctor for 11 hours total now.

I wonder if that scene where Hannibal flips the gold coin in the air to kind of decide whether or not he should save Bella is a kind of homage to André Gide’s Lafcadio’s Adventures. In it, our main character isn’t necessarily evil, but rather amoral in that he doesn’t do things to be bad or good, so he flips a coin to basically make all of his decisions. It could be argued that Hannibal isn’t evil, with the bad things he does in the world, he has done some good in saving Bella, and literally being a doctor that saved lives. Idk, forgive this, I’m philosophy major trash.

“You know when, sometimes you meet someone so beautiful, and then you actually talk to them and five minutes later, they’re as dull as a brick? Then there’s other people, and you meet them and you think, ‘Not bad; they’re okay.’ And then you get to know them, and their face sort of becomes them, like their personality is written all over it. And they just turn into something so beautiful. Rory’s the most beautiful man I’ve ever met.”

- Time can be rewritten!
- Not those times, not one line… don`t you dare!
