Daiya no Ace #6 “First Impression

Team-mate: What? Really!?

Team-mate: You’re the same age?

Team-mate: So you are a player!?

Chris: I’m 18.

Team-mate: I definitely thought you’re older than 20!! You’re too calm [for your age]!!

Team-mate: I used the honorific language to you since I thought you’re the coach!!

Team-mate: Really, *how many times have you lived before!? [*common joke in Japan you say to people who are very mature for their young age as if they are living their life for the second/third/fourth time.]

Later in the evening…

Daiya no Ace #7 “A question from Senpai

Eijun: Miyuki-senpai, look at this!! I’ve got a LINE message from Chris-senpai!
Miyuki: Hm? You’ve got that, too?
Eijun: Eh? You, too!?

Chris’ LINE message to Eijun: Sawamura, please answer honestly. How old do I look? Btw, I don’t need any jokes right now.

Chris’ email to Miyuki: Do I really look that old? My senpai use the honorific language to me… […]

Eijun: Seems like something happened to him…?
Miyuki: What are you going to reply?
Eijun: What should I reply?

Miyuki: Maybe something like “You are so calm, that’s why you don’t look like a child”?
Eijun: That sounds nice!
Miyuki: What about your reply?
Eijun: Mmmmm, maybe something like “You look 5 years younger with your hair down”?
Miyuki: Yes, that’s it!
Eijun: Yes, this is it!

- Breaking News: Miyuki is confirmed to be a flip phone user (while Eijun, Chris and probably everyone else are smartphone users.)

- Chris-senpai sent an email to Miyuki while he contacted Eijun via LINE. This means that Miyuki does not have a LINE account. Someone give miyuki a fucking smartphone and teach him how to use LINE omg he’s the captain of the seidou baseball club after all. Seriously, how can he not have a LINE account xD

Terajima’s comment on Miyuki & Sawamura’s first meeting scene

Here’s the infamous interview where Terajima-Sensei said that Miyuki & Sawamura’s first meeting scene was like a romantic manga.

How did you come up with the other characters aside from Sawamura?

Miyuki is the character who made Sawamura think “I want to play baseball with him, even if that means being separated from my friends”. Miyuki has profound knowledge of baseball as well as the ability to bring out the pitcher’s talent. He’s supposed to be the type of guy Sawamura has never met in life before and thus makes him think “I somehow can’t get him out of my head…”. So if you think about it, it’s actually the same as the “first meeting” scenes in a romantic manga. (lol) […] - Terajima Yuji (Official DnA Guide Book)

So, may I introduce,

Miyuki “the type of guy Sawamura has never met in life before” Kazuya

and Sawamura “I somehow can’t get him out of my head… ” Eijun.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The well-known “Ugh, he’s so mean, I hate him, but…. I love him” shojo manga trope.

God bless Miyusawa and Terajima-sensei ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

In this week’s Daiya…
We see the senpai preparing the grounds for the next day, leaving the first years to have some free time. We learn that the second string won 4 matches and lost 1, of which 2 of the victories were influenced by Okumura’s game calling and batting. The first string returns back to the dorms, and Miyuki and Watanabe head to the coach’s office with the coaching team, to find Ochiai waiting for them there. Ochiai show Oota the article written about Seidou’s victory over Hakuryuu, implying that Seidou’s Golden Age has come with two strong pitchers. Kataoka comments that Sawamura was lucky since several runners got to third base and the score could have been different, but he is looking forward to the next time. Ochiai then asks about Furuya and when Oota doesn’t know how to reply, Miyuki comes out and says that Furuya is the same, but his emotions are getting ahead of him, he is using too much power, and his pitches are affected when there are runners. Kataoka comments that what might be important to Furuya at the moment isn’t baseball but his daily life, as his field of vision is narrowed and he can only see the huge goal before him, but has no idea how to reach it. It might help for him to take a look and question everything in his daily routine and see how they can help him reach his goal. Kataoka then tells Miyuki to prepare for a pitcher/catcher meeting in the morning and dismisses him.

Thereafter, Ochiai decides to help out with the physical part of the training seeing how Kataoka is looking at the psychological aspects. He tells Kataoka that the second string has some good players, that the players are all working for the numbers which will give them some trouble in terms of selecting the final members of the team, and aside from that, the only thing they need to worry about are any injuries. He tells the coaching team that they should, or rather will make this the Golden Age. We then see the players go back to their rooms and Ono confronts Furuya, asking him if the third years are so unreliable he feels that he has to carry the team himself. He says that unlike Miyuki, he was at Jingu with him and they lost because he couldn’t stop his pitches, but he doesn’t plan for Furuya to play all on his own, even though Furuya might mock him for saying such a thing. Then Sawamura and Asada head to the canteen where they see Okumura and Seto watching the recording of the Seidou-Hakuryuu match and Okumura tells Sawamura to keep quiet on the mound instead of trying to gain popularity with the audience.

reason #8925724395392752527925 i prefer the localized versions of the ace attorney games to the normal versions:

Phoenix not knowing how to drive makes perfect sense and is reasonable in the Japanese version due to cars being a luxury/not too necessary in Japan but Phoenix not knowing how to drive in the localized version just makes him even more of a human disaster and I like him better that way

Miyusawa and Daiya no Ace Headcanons

(I think I’ll need to keep this short, but I swear i have so many of them, jesus)

  • Miyusawa wedding with “I can’t help falling in love with you” by Elvis Presley;
  • Kuramochi doing vines of Miyusawa making out in the background while he stares dramatically in the camera;
  • Miyusawa endlessy taking selfies at parties wearing neon colored sunglasses and glowing sticks as crowns and bracelets and bothering everyone with stupid poses;
  • Kuramochi being so fuckin tired of his own roommate coming back at unholy hours of the morning that one night he just locks him out of the room and go to sleep with earplugs so he can’t hear him knock and going “serves you right” when Eijun comes to morning practice with eyebags and ruffled clothes;
  • Eijun singing cheesy love songs while running since he began dating Miyuki and raising his voice so fuckin high when passing near the bullpen where Miyuki is catching for Furuya, making him a blushing mess;
  • Miyuki pinching Eijun’s buttcheek while he’s focusing on his pitching position during training making him jump;
  • Eijun often snapchats with Todoroki sending him selfies and pic of training;
  • Kuramochi dreads every fuckin snapchat Eijun sends him because they always end up being pic of Miyuki’s butt with stupid puns about hitting and catching written all over it;
  • That always end up with Eijun yelling “WORTH IT” while being strangled with wrestling moves by Kuramochi;
  • In the meantime, Miyuki has no idea his butt is being shared with Kuramochi who can’t even look him in the eyes for an hour after Eijun sent him a pic;
  • Eijun always being the sad drunk and Kazuya comforting him until he enters the noisy drunk phase;
  • Drunk college!Miyusawa stumbling home and ending making out in an alley;
  • Miyuki being so fascinated by everything Eijun does, fascinated by how his head lightly sway when listening to his cheesy and ancient songs, fascinated by the way his eyes lit up everytime something good happens to the main character of that manga he’s reading;
  • One of Miyuki’s major turn-ons is Eijun wearing his glasses, but he won’t ever admit it to anyone even tho Eijun already knows;
  • Seido’s new first years being flustered because of Miyusawa at first, but growing accustomed to them as time passes, because they’re too fun to watch, bickering on the mound during training;
  • Kataoka not minding them being a couple since they always mean serious business during matches, striking out batter after batter;
  • People seriously beginning to wonder if they are more than partners on the diamond and Seido team members just shrugging shoulders when asked;
  • Miyuki grinning like an idiot when the bleachers respond to Eijun’s chant of “OSHIOSHIOSH!”;
  • Eijun being so accustomed to enter matches in pinches that his theme song is now the Ghostbusters theme and when he climbs the mound the bleachers go all “WHO YOU GONNA CALL”;
  • Eijun crying and gross sobbing with his head in Miyuki’s lap the night he gains his ace number, while Kazuya gently strokes his head with trembling hands, tears down his face because he’s so fuckin happy, Eijun is happy, they are so fuckin happy and IN LOVE AND I SWEAR TO GOD THEY’RE GONNA WIN KOUSHIEN;
  • Miyuki going to watch Eijun’s first match as ace and captain and being so fuckin proud of him, watching him on the mound like this, he looks three times bigger and JESUS WHY IS HE CRYING NOW;
  • Miyuki proposing to Eijun one night in their apartment, while cuddling on the couch, softly singing “Take my hand, take my whole life too” in Eijun’s ear (I SWEAR TO GOD THIS FUCKIN SONG) and slipping a ring on his finger;
  • Eijun keeping the Ghostbusters theme as his entrance song even when he goes pro because “WHO YOU GONNA CALL” “SAWAMURA”;
  • Kuramochi showing a compilation of the vines he did in high school of Miyusawa making out in the background while he stares dramatically at the camera during Miyusawa’s wedding;
  • Little boys doing the Mae-ken dance because SAWAMURA DOES IT ALL THE TIME, simply SAWAMURA BEING ROLE MODEL FOR LITTLE ONES
  • what she says: i'm fine
  • what she means: in the manga ace of diamond, more widely known as daiya no ace, miyuki kazuya is introduced as a catcher who is captivated by sawamura's displeasure against the lack of camaraderie shown by azuma kiyokuni, going so far as to volunteer to be a catcher for a guy he's never met. in fact, the mangaka yuji terajima has admitted in an interview that sawamura and miyuki's first meeting was incredibly shoujo-esque in nature. miyuki initially wants sawamura to get hit so he'd loosen up, but sawamura's basic instincts causes miyuki to switch tactics. he then goes on to say "i'm pretty interested in you! so let's take out that monster together as a couple!" which is obviously a teasing joke but the fact that his mind even wanders there as a joke makes one wonder if his mind was purely on baseball. finally, before they resume their challenge against azuma, miyuki calls sawamura partner and sawamura is clearly blown away by the simple term. eventually, the two manage to work together to beat azuma and sawamura is enchanted by the pitches that he threw that day, going as far to state "those pitches would change my life" in the first chapter. miyuki inspired sawamura to join the seidou baseball team as sawamura wants to play baseball with someone as incredible as miyuki. throughout the series, it's clear that miyuki and sawamura are attuned to each other in a way that no other battery could ever be. they both have an incredible level of respect for each other on the field; sawamura is completely faithful to miyuki's catcher sense while miyuki is constantly astounded and amazed by how much sawamura is growing. the only time that sawamura has shaken off a sign from miyuki has been to get over his yips, and miyuki understands him perfectly to ask for the pitch that eventually wins them the game. additionally, miyuki is very touchy with sawamura, constantly slinging an arm around his shoulders or giving him tiny, physical encouragements/comfort. the latter can be seen when he presses his hand against the small of sawamura's back when it is revealed that sawamura has yips, which is one example of many. furthermore, in the chapter where sawamura overcomes his yips, miyuki refers to sawamura as a sprout of a great big "eye-catching flower". he then goes on to state that sawamura's "flower" is "small for now, but very strong." "what kind of flower will bloom in the future is up to you." this demonstrates that miyuki has great faith in sawamura's potential and believes that he will be able to catch up to furuya or even surpass him to become the ace. in conclusion, it is completely devastating to see sawamura and miyuki do a great big mating dance around each other when one of them should just bite the bullet and ask the other out.
Idk. I've always been intent with love triangles.

I’ve been really thinking… Is there a fic that exists wherein:

Miyuki takes Sawamura for granted. Like he just always believed that Sawamura will just always choose him above anyone else. And then Okumura just suddenly pops into their life. Unannounced. Then he later notices that Sawamura is starting to spend more and more time with Okumura. That Sawamura never asks him to catch for him anymore. But it can’t be helped since he needs to catch for Furuya more. Then one day while Miyuki was heading for Sawamura’s room to invite him to practice his pitches with him, Miyuki sees Sawamura leave his room. He calls out to him but then Okumura also leaves Sawamura’s room and the two looked so happy discussing whatever with each other.

Miyuki suddenly clutches his chest. Thinks, ‘Oh. This must’ve been how Sawamura always feels whenever I dismiss his invitations.’

#kazuyaweek » day five: birthday

“most likely… i won’t be able to forget that game for my entire life. i know our inexperience, i also know that our opponent’s strong. more than anything else, this is the first time i feel baseball’s frightening. although i feel sorry for the retired 3rd years… we still have another year to get out revenge. if we are doing it, i want the results to matter the most. i want us to be ravenous for victory until the very end.

happiest birthday to seidou’s captain, miyuki kazuya! (11.17)

“Dear diary, it is I, Sawamura Eijun, aka Future Ace of the Baseball World, writing again!

Something good happened today. Ka Kazu Miyuki finally k..kisssed me when I asked for it!! That’s a step in the right direction if I do say so myself!! Maybe if I stick to him and ask him to catch for me nonstop like that he would eventually cave in for baseball too???? Well, won’t know if we don’t try eh. Hehe. I, SAWAMURA EIJUN, will make that bastard my slave yet muhaha!

P.S. If people call Ka him a genius, does that make me a super genius? Master genius? Lord genius???

The Waste of A Wish | Chapter 6

IT’S JUST the second week of the semester but to Fumie it already felt like a month has passed. A lot of things already happened in a short period of time. She got herself involve in scenarios that she never wished to be in at this time of her life.

She received a confession, got into a forced relationship that only lasted for two days, got into a fight with a famous young actor and now being challenged by her producer. All of this didn’t give her leisure to rest during the weekend.

Fumie is walking down the slope from her home when she gave out a deep sigh. She agreed with Haruna’s challenge but until now she hasn’t thought of anything to succeed with the challenge. She searched for information about the twins on the internet and as expected, Natsu outnumbered Fuyu in terms of data. He is widely-known anyway; he even got an international fanbase. There are a lot of facts and trivia about him in the internet. On the other hand, Fuyu is just known as a rookie model with striking looks.
