With Isis joining Legends of Tomorrow what age inappropriate character will they bring on for her to have a romance with? A 45 year old Black Condor? 77 year old Bulletman? 50,000 year old Resurrection Man?

okay, so I crunched some quick numbers and the average age disparity between female actors on LoT and the men playing their love interests is about 13 years.

since Tala Ashe is 32, I’d say we’re looking at a love interest in his mid forties if current trends persist.

… oh my god, it’s Mick.

(Legends of Tomorrow) Earth-1’s Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are the despotic rulers of the world in the 2042 timeline Zari comes from, they call themselves…Justice Lords. They’ve converted other heroes to their cause through brainwashing and/or cloning opponents they’ve killed.

The character Zari Adrianna Tomaz is a Muslim-American woman from the year 2030 who lives in a world of contradictions — technology has brought about incredible change in her future, but too bad human nature hasn’t kept pace. Fear, prejudice and a lack of care for the planet have forced Zari to become a “grey hat hacktivist.” Described as a computer nerd with a wry, combative attitude, she is a woman living a double life who doesn’t realize that she has secret, latent powers derived from an ancient, mystical source.

Goddess Serket (Egyptian)

Serket is the Goddess of scorpions, snakes, medicine, magic, and healing venomous stings and bites as well as childbirth and nursing.  She is also known as  Serqet, Selket, Selqet, Selkit, and Selkis. Serket is generally known as a protection Goddess. She is said to have control of venomous spiders, scorpions, and snakes. Although she protects people from venomous bites she also sends poisonous creatures after people she disproves of. According to legend Serket provided protection to Isis and her son Horus from Set. She is associated with the wet cardinal point. Her symbol is a scorpion. Call on her if you need help healing a bite or sting (make sure to get proper medical care first!) or if you need family protection.

New York…

Yemayá is the Mother of the Seven Seas, the Creation Goddess, and Orisha of fertility and motherhood. She offers protection to women. She is likened to the patron saints Lady of Regla, and Mary, Star of the Sea.  Often depicted as a mermaid, she is associated with the moon, ocean, and female mysteries. She rules the subconscious and creative endeavors. She is the governess of the household and of matters pertaining to women including childbirth, conception, childhood safety, love, and healing. Extremely compassionate and merciful, Yemayá rules the dreamtime, oversees the Moon, deep secrets, ancient wisdom, salt water, sea shells, and the collective unconscious.According to legend, Yemayá originated in Egypt as the Goddess Isis. It is thought by some that the Nubian slaves who returned to different parts of Africa may have brought Isis with them under the new name of Yemayá. It is said that Yemayá gave birth to the 14 Yoruban Goddesses and Gods. When her uterine waters broke, it caused a great flood creating the oceans. The first human man and woman were borne from her womb.Yemayá goes by a number of different names including Queen of Witches, Mother of Fishes, The Constantly Changing Woman, The Ocean Mother, Mother of Dreams and Secrets, Mother of Pearl, and Yemayá-Olokun (a powerful dream aspect). Yemayá’s counterpart in Vodou is called La Sirene, the mermaid. She is related to Mamiwata (Mamma Water), the African water-spirit. There is a common legend about Yemayá choosing her own students; occasionally someone will disappear, sometimes for seven years, and return with tales of having learned the ways of magick and healing in her undersea dwelling. Her offerings are often doves, but never fish, as these are considered her children.

It’s been a wild ride.

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for this show and to this fandom. The past few years I’ve gone through a lot of pretty tough shit and my world has been rapidly changing around me, but this precious fandom has always remained consistent. Yea, sometimes you guys annoy the hell out of me, but 99% of the time you make me feel like I am a part of something wonderful. All my life I’ve never had people to talk about shows like this. When I made this blog, for that reason, I never anticipated it becoming such a big part of my life. I honestly don’t know what the future is going to be like without having new episodes to look forward too. These characters, especially Lin, have truly inspired me to be a better person and have greatly influenced my life. Without them I would never be the person I am today. The past few years with you all have been an extraordinary experience, one that will always have a special place in my heart.

Thank you so so so much,

p.s. Lin Beifong is my hero.
