(Btw I am using the Batman v Superman Bruce Wayne, y’all)
Not being entirely sure as to how it all even happened
On the off-chance that you’re one of Gotham’s minimal elite, you probably met Bruce at a charity gala and, for some reason beyond your comprehension, he picked you out of the other well-dressed women
In the higher likelihood that you don’t come from an affluent family, there’s a multitude of possibilities as to where you met: Maybe you were at a gala working as part of the catering company and he accidentally spilled red wine on you. Maybe you worked as an intern or temp or had a desk job somewhere in the Wayne Enterprise building in Gotham. Or maybe he just saw some assholes giving you a rough time and he stepped in and then offered to walk you home.

Motivation is an important element of the language learning process.
In this busy world it’s hard to keep a consistent level of excitement in learning a new language. Certain parts of every language can be a stumbling block,
If you feel like giving up, it doesn’t mean that it’s time to quit. It might just mean that it’s time to take a closer look at what motivates you. I will try and give you some tips on how to stay motivated when learning a foreign language. Hope you’ll find them useful!
Remember why you started. What made you start learning in the first place? Friendship? Love? Family? Self-improvement? Travel? Work? The reasons for learning a language are varied and often personal. Remember your reason. Use it to motivate you to keep going, keep learning and keep improving.
Be clear about your goals. Defining your language learning goals is another important element of staying motivated and focused on whatever it is you’re trying to achieve. What does success look like for you? Try to visualize it. Write it down and come back to it regularly to keep the mental image of success fresh in your head. Every time your motivation decreases slightly, remind yourself of what achieving your goals looks and feels like.
Don’t aim for mastery. They say that the perfect is the enemy of the good. This is doubly true when it comes to language learning. The language learner who progresses the most is usually the one who takes the most risks, makes the most mistakes, fails the most often - but doesn’t give up. Communicating is messy, creative work, and you’ll hold yourself back if you strive for perfection. There’s no need to drill yourself until you’re exhausted. Do your best and move on. Give yourself permission to be “good enough”.
Talk to people. While it can be scary talking to people in a foreign language, it can also be exhilarating to put what you’ve learned into practice! Languages exist because humans are driven to communicate. What better way to apply what you’re learning than by talking to an actual human being? No matter your level, you’ll progress more quickly - and be more motivated to keep learning - if you find a patient conversation partner, either in person or online. You’ll find that most native speakers are thrilled to speak their language with you.
Don’t compare yourself to other people. Instead of comparing yourself to other language learners, compare your current level to your level in the past, for example last month or last year. That way, you will be able to see the extent of progress you’ve made and boost your motivation. Always comparing yourself to other people can have the opposite effect.
Make language learning part of your routine. You don’t want learning a language to become a chore. There’s nothing less motivating than learning something just because you feel you have to. The key is to transform your thinking about learning so that you don’t see it as an addition to your day but as an intrinsic part of your day. There are various things that you can do to help make language learning part of your routine:
Read for 20 minutes on the train/bus to school or work.
Listen to a podcast or anything in your target language for 5-10 minutes you are walking.
Work in your textbook when you find yourself free at random times of the day
Write a page in you notebook just before going to bed.
Chat with a family member or a friend (it better be a native speaker) in your target language whenever you get the chance to do so.
Don’t Give Up. There is a Japanese proverb which neatly reflects another major component of language-learning success “Fall down seven times, get up eight”. The proverb reminds us to have a holistic and realistic view of the learning process. see this Learning language and time management .
Always remember that without a real desire to learn, you’re going to be fighting an uphill battle.

Summary: (Name) gave everything to him, but he wasn’t willing to give
The sight of (Name) and Draco Malfoy turned heads. The mere thought of
(Name) and Draco Malfoy turned heads.
(Name), perhaps the most loyal, caring, and kind girl anyone would ever
know somehow ended up head over heels for Draco Malfoy. She would follow him
around, a sweet smile never faltering. He would look pretty content with
himself, arms linked with (Name’s) own. It didn’t take much to realize that
(Name) was very attractive in a dreamy, almost fantasy like way. In fact,
multiple men and women had asked for her affections. She only replied with a
sweet smile and a polite rejection, claiming she already had a boyfriend.
Draco was no idiot. He knew that many people wished to have his
girlfriend for themselves.
At first he merely got jealous at this. How dare someone fantasize over his girlfriend?!
As days grew into weeks, and weeks grew into months, his jealousy turned
into pride. She was another thing he had that many people, including Harry
Potter, didn’t have.
The two started off hopelessly in love. Starry eyes and rosy cheeks were
exchanged. Longing looks and sweet messages were sent back and forth.
Over time, Draco became more and more distant. However, (Name) stayed
the same, remaining completely infatuated with him. Draco, from a first glance,
didn’t seem to be as in love with (Name) as she was with him.
The First Month.
Of course, like many couples, (Name) and Draco had a phase where nothing
else seemed to matter but the two of them and their love for each other. It was
almost as if they couldn’t be apart from one another or they would fall ill.
“Draco! Draco, come here!” (Name) chirped with the same giddy smile
playing at her cheeks.
“Yes? (Name), what is it? Are you injured?” His voice was frantic and
shaky. (Name) laughed and shook her head. “No, silly!” She spread her arms out wide.
Draco did so with a smile, leaning into her embrace. “What is all this
“Mmm… Nothing, really. I just wanted to cuddle you. I love you, you
know?” Draco chuckled softly and wrapped his arms around her, closing his eyes
and savoring the feeling of his beloved breathing softly into his chest. They
didn’t seem to notice the dozens of students amongst them stare in disgust,
envy, or even admiration.
“And I love you, (Name). Always.”
The Seventh Month.
While (Name) was in fact hopelessly, blindly in love, she was no idiot.
She noticed when Draco avoided her affections or avoided her in general. She
didn’t pay much attention to it, though. She assumed she was being clingy, and
her herself was at fault. Sometimes
the two would be together, a joyful smile ever present on (Name’s) face. But
she noticed they only ever seemed to be affectionate around each other in front
The thought that Draco may be using her crept in the back of her mind.
He wouldn’t, would he?
When I first started this blog, I was studying Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese all at the same time. It gradually turned into more of a Korean-only blog, but I have been sort of maintaining my basic-level Mandarin, and I have recently started getting back into studying Japanese (let’s see how long it lasts!). So, how do I do it? How does one successfully study multiple languages at once? Learning more than one language at the same time poses some unique issues outside of those that one would face learning just one. Today, I’ll touch on what I think, based on my own experience, are some of the most important things to remember and do to learn more than one language at a time. Remember, this is all just based on my own experience; others might have different takes, but this is mine~
Starting out with differing levels
One reason why I feel that my first attempt to learn Japanese failed was because I was still in the very basic stages of learning Mandarin. In my opinion, the beginning level is where progress should be the fastest as you start building up your foundation, and building that foundation requires undivided concentration and a lot of practice and repetition. My Korean was advanced enough that it didn’t really impact things in this aspect, but with trying to study basic level Mandarin and Japanese at the same time, I found myself sometimes getting confused, and I felt like I was slogging through the basics way too slowly because I had to divide my limited time between the two. I was able to give neither my Mandarin nor my Japanese foundation the attention it needed to really start strong, and both suffered as a result. I decided to prioritize Mandarin, and now that I’ve gotten to a point with that where I feel I am a bit beyond that critical minimum, I am able to devote more time to Japanese without feeling like my Mandarin is taking a hit because of it. My advice would be to avoid starting two languages at the same time. Make sure you build a solid base in one language and feel confident that it won’t interfere with (or be disrupted by) introducing another language into your study schedule.
Finding the time to study even just one language can be hard enough if you’re leading a busy life, but you have to be especially on your time management game if you want to go for more than one. Consistency is key—languages are very much a use-it-or-lose-it deal, so try to schedule set study times for each language in each week. On the off days for a language, you should still try to fit in even a few minutes of vocab or grammar review just to keep your brain in focus! Making a schedule can, provided you commit to actually following the schedule, help you ensure that you get that vital study time in, and that you don’t accidentally pour a ton of time into one language and as a result leave the other to wither away.
Exposure, exposure, and more exposure
Of course exposure to a lot of input of the target language is crucial even when learning only one language. However, making sure you get a good amount of exposure to each of your languages when you have multiple languages you are working on at once can be a bit tricky. You can set time aside for consuming media like TV programs, music, and other things for each language, but that usually only gives you exposure to one at a time. There are ways to get exposure to multiple languages at once! For example, I study Japanese using only Korean-language resources, and I constantly work to draw parallels between vocabulary that I know in Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese. My Chinese language exchange partner and I communicate primarily in Korean when we are just chatting and not actually studying together, and I have found multiple penpals and language exchange partners on various platforms that speak two or sometimes even all three of the languages I am currently focusing on! I especially recommend trying to study using languages other than your native language because it might help you see certain grammatical constructs and concepts in ways that are hard to express in your native language. Find language exchange partners that you can speak with in multiple languages so you can make the most of your practice time as well :)
Ultimately, learning more than one language at a time is a challenge. However, it is certainly doable if you make sure that you give each language the time and attention it needs and do your best to keep interference between languages to a minimum, especially at the starting stages. Finally, make sure you get a lot of exposure and practice, and you’ll be good to go!
So I’m studying Legal Language for my midterm today, and our teacher absolutely freaking lovesWest’s Business Law, a very handy book that very neatly explains law in an understandable way for us dummies.
So here I am, reading through the Negotiable Instruments part and….
One of the authors is absolutely a Dragon Age nerd.
BTS’s reaction to you getting fired because you broke your boss’s arm for touching you inappropriately
Bts, How would they react to you telling them you got fired from your job because you broke your boss’ arm because he tried to feel you up. You didn’t even regret it.
A/N: I was listening to a lot of sad music while writing this. Also, super sorry to all the requesters I was unexpectedly busy last week…
*WARNING: Contains foul language*
Namjoon: He would get so heated after you told him what your boss did to you that he’d start pacing around the house asking where the hell your boss was because he just wanted to talk. You would eventually tell him that s/he’s at the hospital because you broke their arm, to which he replied,
“Damn right you did!”
Jin: The thought of what your boss did to you would make him so outraged, but he wouldn’t show it because he wanted to comfort you more than anything right now. “You’re going to be okay, it’s all over now. I’ll make sure nobody ever touches you like that again.”
Yoongi: After you explained what your boss did to you, he would go straight for the car keys without any words, just a very pissed off look. It was once you told him that you broke your boss’s arm, that he stopped from going to your workplace and beating the shit out of that person. “S/He deserves it for trying to feel you up!”
Hoseok: His smile would immediately fade away once he saw you coming through the door crying. “What happened?” He asked and you told him everything that went down at work. His mind flooded with a million thoughts, he couldn’t really think of what to say, so instead he hugged you and ultimately whispered reassuring words every now and then.
Jimin: I think he would be a mixture of Jin and Yoongi, because he would want nothing more than to beat your boss’s ass, but he knew that you needed to be comforted right now. He tried his hardest to hold in his rage as he held you in his arms and listened to you.
Taehyung: He’d start pacing around, like Namjoon, because he couldn’t believe something like this would happen and he wasn’t there to protect you. He would even get a little teary-eyed due to the frustration and just wondering how your feeling. “I hope that bastard is in pain right now.”
Jungkook: He would be a lot like Jimin and Yoongi in this situation. He wanted to go find that boss of yours and deal with that person himself because he feels like your boss didn’t even get half of what they deserve. He eventually would calm down and make sure your were all right.

Headcanon that while Yuuri and Victor are living together in Russia they both try to learn each other’s native languages by practicing on each other, but they’re so busy with skating neither of them ever becomes fluent so eventually they develop this weird mutual jumbled mess of languages and accents without either of them noticing and only the two of them can understand. Whenever they talk to each other in public everyone around them is just like “????? what the fuck was that”

(Y/N) snuggled her head against the pillow when she felt
herself start to Wake up, slowly opening her eyes, seeing herself in bed. The
girl frowned before finally yawning, finally sitting down. She managed to get a
better view of the room, seeing Enoch sitting at his desk while doing something
on his dolls, without looking up at the girl. (Y/N) cleared her throat loudly
to try to catch his attention, which didn’t seem to have worked, since he didn’t
react at all.
“Good Morning.” she said, trying to get his attention once
“Morning” he murmured, still looking closely at
what he was doing.
(Y/N) watched him for another few seconds, waiting for him
to stop to talk to her, which didn’t happen, making her feel frustrated. She
glanced quickly across the floor of the room.
“Where are they?” she asked, searching the covers.
“I don’t know.” he shrugged. “They’re yours, aren’t
(Y/N) grimaced, but she didn’t have much time to feel
affected by the boy’s words since she was already looking for her clothes again,
which she found under the bed. The girl dressed them quickly, returning to sit
on the bed and looking at Enoch, hoping he would show a little interest in her.
(Y/N) stood up, walking slowly around the room. “I think I’ll
be going.” Enoch had responded with a murmur of agreement, making her growl
low, feeling her heart ache lightly and walking toward the door, stopping when
she reached it and turning to the boy when he spoke again.
“The others are going to go out for that walk in the
afternoon, wouldn’t you like to pay me a visit during this?” he hadn’t
even looked up at her.
“Are you kidding me?” her voice rose, and (Y/N) was
almost sure it was the loudly she had ever spoken in Enoch’s presence ever
since they met. That finally seemed to have caught his attention. “I
really tried, Enoch. I like you and you know it.” she moved closer to his desk,
leaning toward him. "And it’s not cool the way you’ve been playing with
me. Sweet at night and an asshole in the morning. Either you start to treat me
the right way or I’m going to get out of that door and never come back!”
The boy stared at her for a few more seconds, opening his
mouth slightly, seeming to decide carefully what his next words would be. “Close
the door when you leave.” he said, looking back at his doll.
(Y/N) stared at him for a few seconds, not sure how to
react. He had just rejected her in her face. She had thought that if she called
his attention to this issue, he would make an effort to fix things up. It seemed
she was wrong.
The words continued to haunt her for the rest of the morning
while she was outside, leaning against a tree, watching the other children have
fun together. What the hell was that boy’s problem? Images from the night
before began to go through her head.
How much Enoch had made sure to be kind to her. How his
hands alternated between holding firmly around her hips and stroking them when
he knew he was being too rough. His lips kissing her all over lovingly, making
her feel beautiful, loved. How Enoch seemed to care as much about her pleasure
as his. Or his husky voice moaning her name as he neared his climax. How he had
held her close to him after they had finished, a rare little smile on his lips.
So why couldn’t he continue the same way the next morning?
Why did he seem to care about her in one moment and not anymore right after?
(Y/N) frowned, her eyes unconsciously searching for the
boy’s window. Enoch stood there, looking directly at her. His expression showed
discomfort and indecision. His eyes lowered before he looked at her one last
time and close the curtain.
The girl sighed, leaning more against the tree, watching
Hugh and Millard as they played ball, complaining to each other that they were
cheating. Suddenly, a movement near the door of the house caught her attention.
Enoch was going outside, which wasn’t exactly usual for him. (Y/N) looked away,
watching the other two boys playing, pretending not to notice the O'Connor boy
heading toward her. But that made it difficult when he sat next to her.
He didn’t say anything for a few minutes, the two sitting
side by side in a silence that was, in a way, comforting. (Y/N) felt Enoch’s
finger brushing against hers, sending chills all over her body. He slowly and
gently took her hand in his, awkwardly entwining their fingers.
"I didn’t mean-” he started, making her turn her head
to him. “I’m not good at it-“ the boy seemed to be struggling with his
words. "I’m sorry, I-” Enoch took a deep breath, looking directly at
her. “I like you, (Y/N). I really do.” an involuntary smile appeared on
her face. "I’m just not used to it yet.”
(Y/N) nodded slightly at him, squeezing his hand.
"You’ll try to be nicer, won’t you?”
Enoch gave her a little smile, nodding. “If you allow me.”
Her smile widened, giving the answer the boy needed. He
moved his hand away from hers, hesitantly wrapping his arm around her waist,
pulling her closer to him. (Y/N) leaned her head on Enoch’s shoulder.
“Oh, would you look at that.” Hugh’s voice was heard, making
the couple notice that they were being watched by him and Millard.
“Get out of here, will you?” Enoch murmured
against her hair.
“Just don’t snog in public, please.” Millard
warned before he and Hugh left to continue playing, and though he couldn’t be
seen, it was clear that he had a smirk on his face.
As if only for the boy to have said it and for Enoch’s need
to not to follow what the invisible boy said, Enoch lifted (Y/N)’s chin gently,
pressing his lips against hers several times, in passionate kisses, he pressing
his forehead against hers. “So you’re going to stay here while the others
are on the walk?”
In a world where everyone has every lie their soulmate will ever tell them written on their body, people tend to stare a little when someone looks almost blank. Unfortunately, you happen to be one of those people. And summer is the worst: shorts and t-shirts increasing how obvious it is.
You’re used to eyes turning your way: used to the specific considering look even people you’ve known for a while sometimes get on their face, scanning your body as if seeking a mark. Usually, you glance them over at the same time, easily seeing the lines of ink-like writing, peppering arms, extending up the sides of necks, peaking through the knees of ripped jeans.
“Wow, your soulmate must be pretty honest?” someone asks you on a day when you’re particularly tired. “Do you have any marks at all?”
Request:Writers block sucks! Id love a dean x reader fic where she gets wayyyy too drunk and makes a move on him and he’s a gentleman and just takes her home and to bed even though she keeps trying to get with him then in the morning all the smut. -Requested by Anon
A/N: Sorry this one took so long! I had a super busy weekend!
Thanks to the hunting dry spell that you and the boys had been in for the last two weeks, you and Dean had decided to spend some of your time out at a bar. What better way to pass the time, right? It had just so happened that you had convinced Dean to go to a slightly higher end bar this evening - and you were enjoying it. A lot. So much, in fact, that within two hours, you were very drunk.
You sat at the bar next to Dean and spun around in the stool you’d been sitting at. It was one of those ones that no matter how much you spun, it never screwed off. However, you’d been spinning almost non-stop for the last five minutes, so Dean grabbed your knees and stopped you, turning you on the stool so that you were facing him.
So even when you’ve figured out how to deal with humans, it still really helps to be able to anticipate that you’re going to have to deal with humans, and there’s still a major pitfall when you’re operating in mixed-species environments where most people are operating as private individuals rather than as representatives of their respective species or planets:
Humans are so good at social modeling, and human naming conventions are such a mess, that it can be really hard to recognize that a person is human until you actually see a visual of them. Some of them include species on their profiles or biographies, but some skip right past species and list location of childhood home or racial/ethnic background or something instead, like everyone else is just supposed to know that the colony on Zendar Three is a human colony or what “latina” means. Some even make a point of not listing their species.
They pick up languages like nobody’s business. It might take an adult years to reach full fluency in a language - or they might pick it up in a matter of months, if they put their mind to it, and the subadults often don’t even require instruction or study. Even the ones who depend on automatic translation technology tend to be fussy about calibration and sounding as much like natural speakers as possible. In general, they put a lot of emphasis on being able to imitate the social manner of the group; many make a study of the social mores of species they intend to interact with, but even if they’re caught unprepared, most will to some extent mimic the attitude and approach of the people they interact with.
And the names. Most people will say that the typical human has a personal name and a family or clan name, and that’s… more or less accurate. Except that sometimes they list them the other way around. And sometimes they only have a personal name. Or they have multiple family names. And a lot of the time they have a kind of secondary personal name that they don’t even use, but not always, and some have as many as three or four of these “middle names.” There are lists of traditional human names that you can learn, but none of them are exhaustive, because almost every human population center and cultural group has its own traditional names and also humans are constantly adapting old names and inventing new ones.
Even if someone has a name that you recognize as being a traditional name of some other species, that isn’t a 100% guarantee that that person isn’t human. Because there’s such a wide variety of human names, there’s some overlap with other species names, to the point that it’s a kind of played out joke that the token human character in popular media has to be specified to be Human Steve. Plus in a lot of human cultures, one of the highest expressions of respect toward a person is to give that person’s name to one’s offspring, so there’s a small but significant number of humans with names that are definitely not human names because their parents chose to honor an alien friend or benefactor with a namesake.
Some humans are amused to be assumed to be another species. Some don’t seem to care, or are apologetic, apparently assuming that the confusion must be embarrassing or upsetting to the other party. A few get offended, but the other humans tend to agree that those ones are jerks and you shouldn’t feel bad about it.
