Here’s another image of the Beinecke Library, Yale, which Hurd Librarian Chris Penney visited earlier in the year. This is the interior of the Beinecke Library, taken from the exhibition floor. The marble panels which cover the exterior of the building are translucent and filter out any ultra-violet rays. The books are held in a central glass-walled block, rather like the King’s Library at the British Library.
