I'm really sorry if tho has been asked before, but I couldn't find it. Do the characters have favorite holidays? Thanks for making the most amazing podcast ever!!!
I honestly can’t remember if it has or not! Either way here ya go:
Dr. Bright - New Year’s Eve. Joan is a resolution-making kind of gal.
Sam - Holidays in general are not great for Sam. In the present, she just chooses to treat them like any other day (Christmas and Thanksgiving are the worst). However, she did once happen upon a Holi festival sometime mid-millennia (she’s not sure the exact century) and it’s something she’s always dreamed about attending for real in the present.
Caleb - He loves Christmas, especially in recent years. All the joy and presents and general excitement are pretty great to feel.
Adam - As previously mentioned, Adam is very into Halloween.
Chloe - Chloe also loves Halloween - her and her mom have a lot of traditions on All Hallows’ Eve an All Saints’ Day. But Chloe is also a big fan of birthdays - she’s all about finding (or making) the perfect gift for someone and making sure they have the most special day possible.
Damien - St. Patrick’s Day and New Year’s Eve. People are so easy to manipulate when drunk.
Mark - Mark loves any holiday where he either gets to dress up and/or do crazy decorations. Which, if you’re Mark, is every holiday. He once dressed up as a tree for Arbor Day. He looked like an idiot.
Frank - Frank doesn’t observe holidays so much any more (and people having excuses to set off fireworks is not ideal), but he used to get really into Thanksgiving. When he was younger, he loved cooking with his grandmother and while he was on tour, it was always a fun challenge to try and make a Thanksgiving dinner with military rations.
Agent Green - Fourth of July. He loves rolling out his extra big American flag for the occasion.
This holiday study session was super text heavy. I will try doing something more experimental tomorrow but I just needed some notes down. I am aware that I spelt rhythm, enjambment and onomatopoeia wrong but I fear whiteout.
was really productive today! got through 12 syllabus points for my psychology notes, finished my lit reflective statement and finished 2.7 bio notes on genetics. all that on top of work from 9-2 - feeling pretty happy! didn’t take any snaps but here’s a few from my library session last holidays :)
A/N: Unbeta’d. I have shamelessly
borrowed heavily from the Christmas Party scene in “A Scandal in Belgravia”.
Sherlolly Appreciation Week 2017 – Day Thre (Canon Compliant – Season 2 / Non-Canon – First Kiss)
Merry Christmas, Molly Hooper
The Christmas thing was not his idea.
Sherlock routinely saw everyone in attendance (other than John’s
girlfriend, but there was a very high probability that she would be gone before
the new year so Sherlock had already dismissed her as unimportant), he simply
did not understand why John insisted they needed to loiter around Baker Street
for several hours. Yes, John had
blathered on about holiday spirit and spending time with loved ones and blah
blah (he’d tuned John out at that point); but surely, they could have done all
that in a pub somewhere? Someplace that
didn’t involve him?
If it had just been
John insisting on his participation, he could have easily found a way out of
the whole thing; but Mrs Hudson had pulled the “sad old woman who had no family
of her own” charade that he absolutely knew was utter garbage, and yet he
Which is how he found
himself playing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” for her amusement while John
flitted around playing hostess. There
was a small smattering of accolades when he finished, which he graciously
“I wish you could have
worn the antlers,” Mrs Hudson giggled.
That would be a cold day in Hell. “Some things are best left to
the imagination, Mrs Hudson.
