the hand that rocks the mable

Revers Pines hadcanons

So GF has taken over my life and just recently found this AU. Someone help me it’s too perfect. Anyway have my own take on the characters in this AU.

  • He used to be much like his canon self before he met Stanford and Stanly. He tried to manipulate Stanly but underestimated him and Stanly put a spell on him that bound him to the magic amulets before falling into the portal.
  • Stanly’s son finds the amulets and found out the power they have. He then uses the power for his own benefit making him a very rich and powerful man. By the time he has the twins he’s become corrupt with power.
  • Unfortunately for Bill whenever the amulets are used for something they weren’t meant to do (pretty much anything beyond mental powers) it drains Bill’s power, quite painfully, to do it. Stanly’s son has been doing that a lot over the years so he’s already pretty broken by the time the amulets are given to the twins.

The twins:

  • Because of their father’s corruption the twins had rather an abusive upbringing, being taught that power is everything and they must do whatever it takes to gain more.
  • They were given the amulets on their 10th birthday and told how to use them. However, they weren’t told about Bill being trapped inside them.
  • When they do find out about Bill they’re not sure how to feel about him at first, but eventually start to exploit him since that’s all they know how to do.
  • They started their show not long after they turned 10 and used the amulets to make their illusions much more real.
  • They find book 2 when they turn 12 during the summer they’re spending with their great uncle, while their parents are away.
  • The twins were born with a strong telepathic connection and are able to communicate very complicated ideas to each other over the link. They are also able to tell what the other is feeling at any moment or if the other is in danger even if they are far away from each other.
  • Despite always being taught to exploit anyone they can the twins have a very close bond with each other. Really the only true genuine care they feel is for each other and they’ll do anything to protect the other.

(Now for each individual twin)

  • He is the conniving planner of the two and is always coming up with schemes to gain them more control over the town and to get more powerful.
  • He is quite proud of his birthmark and shows it off as much as he can. It also helps convince people of his powers.
  • He’s also the more violent of the two and will not hesitate to physically harm someone to get what he wants.
  • He is very protective of his sister and will do almost anything to keep her safe and happy. This is why he hates Gideon so much since he refuses to return Mabel’s affection and the only thing preventing him from severely hurting the boy is that he promised Mable he wouldn’t.
  • He’s got a bit of a crush on Pacifica though doesn’t really understand it and tried to ignore it.

  • She is the more manipulative one of the two and able to convince many people to do things they would never do otherwise.
  • She loves attention and can sometimes be a bit of a stage hog but never goes too far to cut Dipper out of the act.
  • Because of her money and power she’s had a lot of boy’s crushing on her but the only boy she’s ever been interested in is Gideon. Always being able to get what she wanted before makes it even harder for her to accept his rejection and tries to do whatever she can to get him to be her boyfriend.
  • She also tends to take out her frustrations out on Pacifica because she’s an easy target and close to Gideon. She doesn’t know about her brother’s crush on her which is why she has no regrets for being so mean to her.

  • He is rather shy and timid and tends to try to keep out of peoples attention.
  • His parents are divorced but keep in contact. He normally lives with his mom but this summer he’s sent to go live with his dad at the Mystery Shack, which is just a normal tourist attraction and has no secret rooms or under ground labs of any kind.
  • He loves his dad even if Bud’s a conman and a bit forgetful that he’s even there sometimes.
  • He finds the 3rd book while exploring the woods around the Mystery Shack, much like canon Dipper does.
  • He finds out about the twins after seeing a commercial about their act and deciding to go see it. Later he finds Mabel at the door asking if he wanted to spend some time with her. Things play out pretty much like “The Hand That Rocks the Mabel” with the rolls reversed until Gideon tells Mable he’s not interested. Mabel goes home crying and Dipper is the one to lure Gideon to the warehouse. The only thing that saves Gideon is Dipper’s promise to Mabel not to hurt him, but Gideon is now quite terrified of the twins.
  • He meets Pacifica during a party at the Shack, like the one in “Double Dipper” and comforts her after she lost to Mabel in the dance off. The two became great friends after that and became practically inseparable.

  • She is a poor girl who tends to ware a lot of her mom’s old close from the 80s and 90s.
  • Insults also tend to affect her more than they do canon Mabel.
  • Gideon was the first friend she made and was able to keep so she’s very protective of him. She does what she can to keep him safe from the twins and joins him on his monster hunts, being the one to initiate most of them since Gideon is a little too scared to go on his own.

  • He is the twins’ great uncle and cares about them deeply. He’s also very concerned with the path they’re taking and hopes he can steer them away from it before it’s too late. This is why he takes them in for the summer to get them away from their dad and to hopefully open their eyes to what they’re doing is wrong.
  • When he sees that the twins have Book 2 he tries to get it away from them fearing what they’ll do with it, but has trouble because the last thing he wants is for the twins to get mad at him.
  • He’s also got a secret lab under the mansion he’s using to try and get his brother back. Which is another reason he wants to get Book 2 away from the twins.
6 of the Most Famous Ghost Pictures Ever Taken

The paranormal is famously hard to capture, when someone claims to have a photograph of a ghost it is usually trick photography or has been digitally enhanced. However some photographic evidence of ghosts do exist and this collection of photographic evidence has stood up to scrutiny and stood the test of time. Without further ado here are our top six most famous ghost pictures ever taken.

Lord Combermere Ghost

This photograph of the library in Combermere Abbey was taken by Sybell Corbet in 1891 . The figure of a man can faintly be seen sitting in the chair on the left. His head, collar and right arm on the armrest can be clearly made out. This is reputed to be the ghost of Lord Combermere.

The second Viscount Lord Combermere died in 1891, after being struck by one of London’s first motor cabs which was electrically powered. While Sybell Corbet was taking the above photograph, Lord Combermere’s funeral was taking place over four miles away.

Young Girl at the Window

Photographed by Tony O’Rahilly at Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England while it was on fire. There was no one in the building at the time, yet this photo shows a young girl peering out. The photo was examined by Dr. Vernon Harrison, the former president of the Royal Photographic Society. Harrison deemed that the photo had not been tampered with and was therefore genuine.

In 1677, a young girl named Jane Churn accidentally set fire to a thatched roof with a candle, setting off a blaze that burned down many of the town’s old timber houses. Several people believe that her ghost has haunted the area ever since and witnesses claim to have seen her on a few occasions over the years. It is generally believed that this ghost is her.

Corroboree Rock Spirit

Taken by Reverend R.S. Blance at Corroboree Rock, at Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia in 1959, this famous photograph appears to show a woman holding her hands toward her face, peering out into the distance.

The Madonna of Bachelor’s Grove

Taken on August 10th, 1991 during a paranormal investigation by the Ghost Research Society of Bachelor?s Grove Cemetery, which is near a suburb of Midlothian, Illinois.

Back Seat Driver

This famous ghost photograph was taken in 1959 by Mable Chinnery. After visiting the grave of her mother, Mable turned and took a picture of her husband, who was waiting for her in the car. What Mable didn’t expect was her mother coming along for the ride!

The Brown Lady

The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall, reportedly haunts the great house in Norfolk, England. This is of the country’s most famous hauntings primarily due to the captured image of the ‘Brown Lady’ on the staircase. The photograph which would become one of the most famous paranormal photographs of all time was taken by photographers from the Country Life magazine that was at Raynham Hall photographing the staircase.
