As far as Steve is concerned in WE, is the man ever going to get some therapy? Because yeah he's a dick and good god I am so mad at him but. He's not exactly stable. And if he wants to make things better, BE better, I believe the first thing he needs to do is GET HELP. (Also, I am so disgustingly mad at Clint and I am so glad you had Laura divorce him. Yeah Steve has been a DICK but Clint has. No excuse. Just none. Out of them all he is the highest on my shit list.)
Sorry this lingered in my inbox for so long.
In regards to WE Steve, he is probably in the best place to seek out help at this point (which, oh god, Tony would so enthusiastically provide, lol. That man is willing to swallow the cost and keep every counsellor and psychiatrist in the state of New York employed and well-paid if it meant some of his “teammates” changed for the better).
Steve’s pretty much hit rock bottom now, given his little breakdown on Christmas and maybe, just maaaaybe that conversation with Tony shook some things loose in his stubborn head. At this point he essentially has two choices - make things worse by, oh, I dunno, doing something awful to “win” Bucky back, or re-examine the events and decisions that got him to this point and learn from it.
With that said, however, given the, ahem, angst that’s been going down in WE, I’ll be honest, Steve’s wellbeing is pretty much no one’s concern right now, including himself, because if he has any decency left, he’s too busy worried about Tony and Bucky. Maybe when the dust settles and our boys get their happy ending back, maybe then I can shine a bit of light on the Rogues again to see what progress, if any, they’re making.
