With “Love on the Brain,” Rihanna joins Madonna (38) and The Beatles (34) as the only acts with at least 30 Hot 100 top 10s all time.
As previously reported, Rihanna rumbles 13-8 on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated March 4) with “Love on the Brain,” marking her milestone 30th top 10. Dating to the chart’s Aug. 4, 1958, inception, only Madonna, with 38, and The Beatles, with 34, boast more.
Rihanna breaks a tie for third place with Michael Jackson, who’s tallied 29 top 10s, as a soloist.
Notably, Rihanna sports the second-fastest accumulation of 30 Hot 100 top 10s (from an act’s first-ever week in the region to the first week in the tier with its 30th). Having first hit the top 10 with “Pon De Replay” on the July 16, 2005-dated chart, she needed 10 years, seven months and two weeks to tally 30 top 10s. Only The Beatles hit the landmark more quickly, from “I Want to Hold Your Hand” to “Something,” over a span of just five years, nine months and two weeks (Jan. 25, 1964-Nov. 8, 1969).
While she’s the leader for the most Hot 100 top 10s, Madonna took 12 years, eight months and two weeks from her first top 10, “Borderline,” to her 30th, “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” (June 16, 1984-March 1, 1997; thus, with the latest Hot 100 dated March 4, 2017, we last celebrated an act reaching 30 top 10 hits 20 years ago to the week).
Here’s a recap of Rihanna’s 30 Hot 100 top 10s (with 25 in a lead role).

G-DRAGON is to Hold a Solo Concert Titled “母胎” at Sangam World Cup Stadium on June 10
[OSEN=최나영 기자] G-DRAGON is holding a concert, and its title is “母胎”(Chinese characters meaning “matrix”).
At 3 PM on April 5, YG Entertainment uploaded a poster on its official blog announcing that G-DRAGON will hold a solo concert titled “‘G-DRAGON 2017 CONCERT: 母胎” at the Sangam World Cup Stadium on June 10.
The poster features the calligraphic work of master calligrapher Kim Dong-wook, and together with the title “母胎”, it is arousing much curiosity about the concept of this concert.
Recently, G-DRAGON has revealed pictures of himself when he was young and his parents on his social media page. Many are speculating that the concept of his solo concert will have something to do with these pictures.
The last solo concert of G-DRAGON was the “One of a Kind” world tour concert that took place four years ago in 2013. This concert will be especially meaningful for those who have waited for the comeback of G-DRAGON as a solo artist for a long time.
Expectations are running high for G-DRAGON’s solo concert as the Sangam World Cup Stadium is where BIGBANG held its 10th anniversary concert last year.
The tickets for G-DRAGON’s solo concert “母胎” will be sold on Auction from 8 PM on April 13.
RIP Andrzej Wajda (1926-2016) - One of the most prolific Polish creators and film directors of all time, best known for classics such as “Man of Marble” (1977), ‘Man of Iron” (1981), “Danton” (1982) and “Katyn” (2007), has died today at age 90. Wajda basically put Poland on the map (along with Polanski, same generation and who acted in Innocent Sorcerers (1960), made by Wajda) with his films, with many new wave characteristics. A cinema mostly focused on historical films and social revolutions, Wajda has covered from the French revolution to many WWII pieces to the socialist revolutions in his country. And despite success, he never had to follow the trend of European directors going to Hollywood; he simply wanted to make what he wanted and in the way he wanted. In 1954, he released his first feature film “A Generation”, which along with “Kanal“ (1956) and “Ashes and Diamonds” (1958) formed a classic war trilogy. In 1981, he won the Palme D’or at Cannes for “Man of Iron”, a sequel to “Man of Marble” (1977), tales revolving a fictional laborer hero Mateusz Birkut
but this time following the Solidarity movement by Lech Walesa. Other credits include: “Lotna” (1959), “Samson” (1961), “The Ashes” (1965), “Hunting Flies” (1969), “Pilate and Others” (1972), “The Orchestra Conductor”(1980),
“A Love in Germany” (1983),“The Possessed” (1988), “Holy Week” (1995), “Miss Nobody” (1996), “Pan Tadeusz” (1999), “The Revenge” (2002) and Walesa: Man of Hope (2013). Four of his films received Oscar nominations as Best Foreign Language Film: “The Promised Land” (1975), “The Maids of Wilko” (1979), “Man of Iron” (1981) and “Katyn” (2007). He received an honorary Oscar in 2000, and his final film the upcoming “Afterimage” (2016) was already submitted by Poland to the 2017′s Oscars.
Winnipogo: The Most Threatened Lake Monster of 2013
Winnipogo is the Lake Monster of Lake Winnipegosis in Manitoba, Canada. The first sighting of the creature dates back to 1909, when a report of a “huge creature traveling at a speed of about two miles per hour,” was made by Valintine Mackay. Sightings since have described the creature has being over twenty feet long and serpent-like in appearance. One sighting, in 1935, even reported the creature had a horn on its head.
In the 1930s, a strange bone was found on the shore of the lake by Oscar Frederickson. The bone was believed to be a spinal vertebra. Sadly, the original bone was lost in a fire, but a wooden copy was made. The bone was showed to Dr. James McLeod of the University of Manitoba, who felt it resembled a vertebra. However, he felt it was the vertebra of a whale-like creature that had been extinct for over four million years.
In 2013, Lake Winnipeg was named the Most Threatened Lake of the Year. The above image is a depiction of the Winnipogo as the Most Threatened Lake Monster of the Year, even though it resides in Lake Winnipegosis, which is just across from Lake Winnipeg.
Trap Kitchen began in 2013 when four best friends decided to sell plates of their delicious, homemade food to their own community. The group — Malachi “Spankihanas” Jenkins, Roberto Arturo “Bad News” Smith, DJ Kev and Awol — grew up together around Compton and South Central Los Angeles, come from different gang affiliations but banded together to start a legit business that’s now getting widespread attention. Celebrities are lining up to eat their seafood gumbo, BBQ, burrito bowls and fried chicken.
