Lance leaned against the counter and groaned. Boredom was his unwanted friend today. Mid-day shifts were always slow, and if Lance wanted anything out of the shift at this point, it was a rush. Even a 5-person rush would be better than standing here at a register staring at an empty café.

He let out another sigh, puffing out his cheeks in a pout. If he looked on the bright side of this, his paycheck was going to be bigger than his last one. This pay period he picked up three extra shifts. Plus, he was working a double today because his coworker, Brian, was sick. He could only hope Blue was alright by herself. His cat always got antsy when he didn’t come home at the normal time. She was clingy like that.

The door chimed and Lance immediately stood up straight and flashed his best smile.

“Hi, welcome to Juniberry Café!” he greeted.

The customer was pulling down his scarf, freeing his mouth so he could speak. Lance kept his smile in place, but in the back of his head he was freaking out. Okay, so the guy was like really cute? Could you blame him? The customer came up to the counter and eyed the menu. He had dark gray eyes and a mop of hair that…was that a mullet? How was this guy pulling off a mullet? It’s the 21st century, dude, not the 80s. Yet that didn’t really detract from how attractive this guy was. How was this even fair?

“Could I get a double shot espresso?” he asked.

Lance keyed it into the register and grabbed a cup, slipping a sleeve on it. “Sure, what’s your name, pretty boy?”

What to Pack: Seoul, South Korea - The Study Abroad Edition

South Korea has been treating me well so far. With the adventures I’ve gone and the adventures I will be partaking, I have really enjoyed my time here in this country. I still have a lot to learn and so many other actives I want to indulge in, but I’m taking it all in one stride. Nevertheless, being in South Korea for a while now, I’ve come to realize that there are certain items I should have packed with me before departing the US because in doing so, I would have saved myself some money that could have been used for other things. This blog post today is dedicated to what to pack and what you should consider packing when traveling in South Korea. And I don’t mean the usual like clothes and such.

Thing #1: Power Adapter

When Life Gives You Lemon-Flavored Candy...

From this request: something where the team is constantly trying to set bucky up with the reader but in the end bucky just comes up with his own way to ask her out?

It was obvious to everyone at Stark Tower that Bucky had a little bit of a thing for you.

Well, obvious to everyone but you.

All of the others tried to convince Bucky that he should just take the plunge, ask you out.

“Bucky,” Steve said, walking into the kitchen. “Have you seen Y/N?”

“She went to the library.”

“Why didn’t you go with her?”

“And do what?” Bucky asked. “Offer to carry her books home?” He shook his head. “Steve, times have changed. That doesn’t really work anymore.”

“Chivalry always works,” Steve said. He studied his friend. “Don’t give up, Buck. I know the two of you will come together, somehow.”

“Hey. Buckaroo,” Tony said, walking past Bucky’s room. “Come here.”

Bucky followed Tony down the hall, into his laboratory. He’d only been in here a few times. Tony was, after all, very private with his inventions during the creation stage.

Tony walked over to a computer and hit a few keys. A holographic screen came to life in front of Bucky. The lights in the lab lowered and a few power chords began to fill the room. A slideshow of pictures and video clips of you began to play. They certainly highlighted everything Bucky loved about you—which, essentially, was everything about you.

Tony stepped over next to Bucky and watched the slideshow.

“Where’d you get these?” Bucky asked.

“Y/N’s social media—Facebook, Instagram. Some of them were in her room. Some I snuck when she wasn’t looking.”

Bucky nodded. He still didn’t really understand social media, no matter how many times you’d tried to teach him.

“So,” Tony said as the song lowered and the screen went black. “You show this to Y/N and she’ll be yours in no time.”

“Oh,” Bucky said, understanding what Tony was trying to do. “Um…”

“Don’t you think she’ll like it?”

“I’m sure she would,” Bucky said. “But I worry that there’s too much… you in it.” Bucky turned to Tony. “I mean, I’m not the most tech-savvy…”

Tony studied the blank screen with a slight nod. “I see what you mean. You know, it always surprises me when you old timers say that a simple slideshow of photos set to music is ‘tech savvy’.” He clapped a hand on Bucky’s shoulder. “Don’t worry. One of these days you’ll get into the groove of things and land fully in the twenty-first century.”

“Oh, sorry,” Bruce said, accidentally bumping into Bucky as he turned the corner, a large scientific volume in hand.

“It’s okay,” Bucky said.

“Oh, I just ran into Y/N, too,” Bruce said. “She was looking for you. I think she said something about going downtown? Or maybe to the park? I don’t really remember…”

Bucky gave him a smile. “Right. Thanks. Where is she?”

“I passed her in the hall by her room.”

“Okay.” Bucky headed down to your room. You were seated on your bed, watching something on your phone. “Y/N.”

You looked up, giving him a smile. “Hey, Bucky.”

“Bruce said you were looking for me?”

Realization hit Bucky. He gave the doctor credit—this was the most subtle of the hints from the rest of the crew. “Sorry. I must have misheard him. I thought he said something about you wanting to go downtown, or to the park.”

You cocked your head to the side. “Well… a walk through the park does sound nice.” You hopped up from your bed and grabbed your jacket. “Come on,” you said with a smile as you slipped past Bucky.

The two of you stepped out from the Tower and began to walk to the park. It was a nice Spring day and every time the breeze blew, Bucky got the slightest whiff of your perfume.

It was so easy to be with you, so easy to talk to you.

If only he could get those words out.

He watched your hand dip into your jacket pocket. “Oh,” you said, pulling out a red packet. “I forgot I bought these.” You held the packet of Skittles out to Bucky. “You want some?”

“Are they good?”

“They’re amazing,” you said with a smile. “My favorite are the lemon.”

You tore the package open and shook a few round candies into your hand. You offered them to Bucky who tentatively took a red and a green candy. He tossed them into his mouth—they were good.

“These are kind of my guilty pleasure,” you admitted, popping a yellow one into your mouth.

“I can see why,” Bucky said with a smile, the tiniest of ideas beginning to form in his mind.

A few days later, you were sitting on the couch, flipping through a magazine. Bucky peered around the corner—this was it.

He slowly approached, holding the surprise behind his back. “Y/N.”

You looked up. “Hi, Bucky.”

“I got you something.”

“You did?” You sat the magazine down next to you.

Bucky brought the bowl out from behind his back and handed it to you. Inside were about a hundred Skittles—all yellow.

You laughed slightly. “Bucky, what’s this?”

“You said the lemon ones were your favorite. So I got some bags and picked them all out for you.”

“How many bags did you sort through?”

“About a dozen.”

You stared up at Bucky, eyes wide with wonder. He wondered if he’d made a wrong move.

He watched as you looked down at the bowl. You picked up a few candies and put them in your mouth, your jaw moving slowly. Then, standing, you put the bowl on the coffee table. You took a step towards Bucky and before he knew what was happening, your arms were wrapped around his neck and your lips were on his.

You tasted like lemons.

When you pulled back, you smiled at him. “Thank you, Bucky. This… is the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me.”

Surprisingly, Bucky found his hands drifting toward you, landing on your waist. “Well, you deserve the best.”

“Well, I find it hard that I deserve you. But you’re certainly the best man around.”

Bucky smiled at you and took a chance. He leaned down and kissed you, wanting to get that lemony taste back in his life.

Anon Prompt: Hospital

((AN: Sorry I have been really exhausted the last couple of days and couldn’t seem to get this finished before passing out. It made me sad because I really liked these prompts :( Enjoy some fluff!))

Even before he opened his eyes Harry could hear the familiar whirs and beeps that signaled he was in medical. It took him a moment to place where he might be, how he might have come to be there, but the entire time he kept his eyes shut. Not scrunching them down, merely closed. One could never quite be certain that the ones providing medical care were allies after all, and if a hostile force was keeping him alive he wanted as much of an edge as possible.

Right. Kentucky. The church.

Adore You | shawn mendes ; chapter 2

I mean, Shawn was no saint. I knew for a fact that he wasn’t virgin, he’d snuck out plenty of times, all that good stuff. But for some reason I genuinely liked being around him. I liked the feel of him, and I hope he feels like same way. I guess I’ll find out soon enough if he really is only trying to get some.
