Day 3 - favorite quote: “strength begins in understanding your own weakness” - Oz Vessalius
I can’t really say this is my favorite quote, because there are a lot of good ones (some of which I couldn’t find to get the right wording), but this one is definitely good. Oz had a lot of good quotes.
03.30.17 // i found these pics on my laptop and thought i’d post them (look at me trying to be all arsty with my close up of clovers lmao) honestly, this really makes me miss genetics ;; but i think neurology is the right path for me :))
So like two years ago I made a photoset of everytime the Beast touches something on screen because back then a lot of theories were circulating about him not being able to touch the lantern or not being able to touch anything at all/him being somewhat incorporeal so I decided to check
Since then the comics came out and showed us the Beast used to carry the lantern just fine so why not make an updated version of my old post?
Anyway, here’s what we actually get to see in the show & comics :
he can touch normal objects no problems (so he is corporeal)
he’s actually very much able to take care of the lantern on his own and isn’t as dependent on others as we all thought before the comics came out
we never see him touch people. The closest he gets to touching another character is him resting his hand on Greg’s teapot and lightly brushing the Edelwood around him with his fingers. Even in scenes where it would make sense for him to at least get within arm’s reach from the brothers, he doesn’t. Whether he can’t or won’t get close to / touch people is unknown.
And what we don’t get to see but can inferred :
he fought and defeated the Woodsman off-screen, though we don’t know how
he might be responsible for the Woodsman’s wife’s mortal injury but we know next to nothing about what happened
