“So it’s dumb that I have to settle this with my brother? My brother who burned down my house and killed my dog? My brother who took everythink from me. It’s dumb that I want to stand up for both of us and restore our pride?” he yelled back, “On whos side are you, Y/N? Because last time I checked you were supposed to be on my after all you are my frickin girlfriend! Or did I loose you to him too?” his words hurt you deeply and made you even angrier.

“First of all, just because I don’t want you to fight against Matt, doesn’t mean I’m on his side. I hate him for everything he has done to you. And second of all I am the girlfriend of Jeff Hardy. A lovely humble and caring soul, not of someone who yells at me just because I show empathy with him!”

“You’re just jealous that I have the chance to settle this in the ring with him and you could never pay back your sister for what she has done back then!” he fumed.

And to bring my sister into this is really unnecessary! I’m sorry that I seem to hold you back but it’s completly normal to be scared for someone who you love!” you tried to sound as calm as it was possible for your heated temper. You were close to crying. You never meant to make Jeff feel like this. You were just truly scared Matt could injure him badly. Matt had changed drastically over the months. You pressumed he would be ready to do anything in his power to humiliate Jeff. You began to sniff of the thought that Matt would hurt his younger brother. Jeff realised your distress and calmed down imediatly. His anger was blown away as if he could see exactly what was going through your mind in this moment.

“I’m sorry babe. I didn’t mean it. Fuck, I’m sorry. I messed up again, didn’t I?” he pulled you into a hug. Your pressed your face into his chest, sniffing softly, “Please believe me, I didn’t mean a word. I’m just so fed up. I just have to do this, you know? I will promise to be careful. It wasn’t fair to let it out on you. Can you forgive me?” he mumbled into your hair. You nodded hugging him even tighter.

i am not even gonna consider this question, because if i start thinking through all the stupid nonsense clint and steve get up to i will hurl myself out a window purely in self defense. 

none of the avengers should ever spend time together. separately, theyre reckless to the point of idiocy; together, they fight crime. and cause massive amounts of property damage, and have reduced several psychologists to tears. it wasnt pretty.

but you know, fate of the world and all that nonsense. 

(to be fair to them, none of the avengers are stupid. they just get sucked into each others bad-decision vortexes)

in the interests of preserving that most blessed of coping methods, denial, i will only consider what steve and clint have gotten up to in the past two weeks. 

which still gives me a horrifying wealth of options.

dumbest thing steve has done? accepted clint’s challenge to a spicy-food-eating contest. captain triangle torso has enhanced senses. he takes his NORMAL food underseasoned, because his taste buds are extra-sensitive, and he took a spiciness challenge from clint, who spent his developmental years eating literally anything. last week i watched him pour pineapple juice into his hot chocolate. it was terrifying. i have seen clint drench jalapenos in ghost pepper sauce and eat them.  i have seen him put chocolate on pizza. there is nothing that man will not eat.

steve got one bite in to one of clint’s ghost pepper chicken wings and his whole face swelled up and turned red. he kept eating. his eyes and nose were running. he got three bites in and was leaking from his whole face. he looked like he was gonna die. he drank a gallon of milk and was in bed for over a day. his fancy supermojo can fight off toxins but not ghost peppers, apparently. he said it was the most painful thing he’d ever felt, the supersoldier easy bake experience included. 

clint finished his bucket of ghost pepper hot wings and played mario kart for three hours. which is what he usually does on wednesdays. 

dumbest thing clint has done lately? “borrowed” natashas favorite dagger set. her vengence was swift, brutal, and left clint sans eyebrows and with tony’s goatee drawn in sharpie, refreshed nightly for a week. talk about shame.

she is a ruthless woman.

as to which of these was stupider? i honestly cant say, and thinking about it makes me regret so many decisions.

Yoongi x Reader

Before you moved to live on campus for college, you had never heard of a librarian who had a reputation for yelling. But not only does Min Yoongi yell, he’s also dangerous, and part of something much, much darker. When curiosity gets the better of you, you end up involved in much more than you bargained for.

What choice did you have but to agree? Jinyoung smiled and said you were making the right decision, and you tried not to show the anger you felt on your face. You couldn’t afford for Jinyoung to think you weren’t going to keep up your end of the deal. If he distrusted you for even a second, it could easily result in not only Yoongi’s and the rest of Bangtan’s death, but yours as well.

Jinyoung gave you instructions before he left, telling you where Namjoon’s office was and where to look for the files that you would need. You had asked in a moment of misjudgment why he hadn’t just taken the information himself, why it had to be you, and he had laughed. Apparently, as long as you were the one to turn Bangtan over to the police, it didn’t violate the treaty. Then, any of the lower-level members who weren’t sent to jail could join Jaebum with a clear conscience. It was amazing, you thought, how important this treaty was to them.

“You see? It’s all easy to explain. You got scared, ran to the police, and oops… Their leaders are all in jail and our hands are clean.”

You wanted to point out that you would probably end up dead if you did what they were asking you to do, but kept your mouth shut until Jinyoung was long gone.

You pulled your phone out of your bag, trying to keep the shaking from your hands. You dialed Taehyung as you sat on the floor next to your bed. You didn’t know what to do, but you knew that if you actually sold out Yoongi’s brothers, he would never forgive you. Not to mention, they had been nothing but kind to you (save for Jungkook maybe, but you suspected that he had his reasons). It hardly seemed like the right way to repay their compassion.

“Hey, I don’t think you’ve ever called me, is everything okay?” Taehyungs voice snapped you out of your thoughts, and you took a deep breath. It occurred to you that it was entirely possible that Jinyoung had placed a bug in your room before you even got there, and that you had no way to know if you were being listened to by someone other than Taehyung.

“I think I left my sweater at your house the other day.” You lied, knowing that it wasn’t going to sound even remotely convincing to Taehyung. “I’ll meet you at your house in a few, ok?”

You were greeted at the door by an irritated Jungkook telling you that he had looked everywhere and your sweater wasn’t there.

“I know.” You said, pushing past him and walking into the house. “Where’s Taehyung?”

“You know.” Jungkook repeated flatly. “As in, you knew all along and I just spent all that time looking for something that doesn’t exist?”

“Yep.” Jungkook crossed his arms, somehow looking even more agitated than before.

Why?”

“You’d never know, but he’s not normally like this.” Taehyung said, approaching the two of you. “He just really doesn’t like you.”

You explained quickly what had happened and what Jinyoung had told you. Taehyung lead you into the living room as you spoke, and Jungkook followed.

“He’s gone completely off the handle.” Taehyung said thoughtfully. “Jaebum’s always had it out for Yoongi, and now he’s gotten sloppy.” He grinned at Jungkook. “I think this calls for some fun.”

Jungkooks frown deepened. “This isn’t a good thing, Taehyung. And we need to talk to Namjoon before doing anything—“

“Yeah, yeah.” Taehyung waved a hand dismissively at Jungkook. “Now that I think of it, why haven’t we ever done the same thing to Jaebum? Turn over files to the police I mean.”

“Because it’s cowardly to do something like that, and it’s still a violation of the treaty that we honor, unlike Jaebum apparently.” 

“Oh, yeah.” Taehyung shrugged, the smile returning to his face. “What do you say we give old Jaebum a taste of his own medicine?”

“That is, by far, the dumbest thing you have ever said.”

The plan came together faster than you would have guessed. Taehyung called Namjoon in (who was followed by Jimin and Hoseok) and explained what was going on, then his brilliant plan that Jungkook said was insane. And it probably was, but it was better than any of the other options you could think of.

“Does anyone else think that we should inform Yoongi of what we’re doing?” Hoseok mused, and Jungkook laughed. You had never heard the youngest laugh, it was deep and full, and felt entirely out of place in the otherwise silent room.

“Yeah, let’s tell Min Yoongi that we’re going to use his crush as bait, fantastic idea.” Jungkook continued laughing, and Jimin rolled his eyes.

“She’s not bait, she’s…” He looked over at you, contemplating. “A distraction.” No one had asked you if you wanted to be part of this, but you were pretty sure that at this point, you didn’t have much of a choice. You had come to the realization earlier that as long as Jaebum was around, Yoongi would never be truly left alone to live his life. He might have had a chance before you got involved, but that had been lost the moment Yoongi broke Jaebum’s ribs. You felt somewhat responsible for Yoongi’s re-involvement in the mafia, so it was only fair that you played a part in freeing him from it once again. You just also didn’t want to die.

“No one’s telling Yoongi.” Namjoon said, then looked over to you. “I’m sure you understand why.” You did. Yoongi already insisted that a bodyguard accompany you to your classes, there was no telling what he would do if you told him you were planning to walk into Jaebums base, cause a distraction, possibly get shot and hope to walk away with incriminating files. “Jngkook is right. This is completely insane.” You thought to yourself.

“And we probably shouldn’t mention it to Seokjin either.” Namjoon added, and this part came as a surprise to you.

“Why not?” Taehyung seemed as confused as you were, and Namjoon sighed.

“The last thing he wants is for Yoongi to have one more reason to stay away from us.”

“So when are we going to do this?” Hoseok asked.

“It’s going to take some time to get everything in order.” Jimin pointed out, and you were once again struck by how calm Bangtan was. Were they really never phased by anything?

“Wednesday night.” Namjoon decided, and that was that.

You weren’t sure how you were going to keep this from Yoongi, and you weren’t exactly crazy about the idea of keeping secrets from him again–especially not when things seemed to be going so well between you. 


A/N Ahaha, so many people were worried that Reader was going to make a huge mistake! So I thought I’d update a little early. This is actually getting (kind of) close(ish) to the end! “This is really stupid,” Dean muttered, staring dubiously at the guy standing opposite him. “Man, I gotta apologize. I have no idea what’s got into him. He’s normally a good kid.“

“Likewise,” the other guy grumbled. “Anna is usually a sweetheart. I’ve never seen her raise a hand in anger.”

“Kill him, Cas!”

“Well, technically, she’s not raising a hand now,” Dean said with a roll of his eyes. “She just wants you to raise yours.“

When he’d come to the playground to pick Sam up after school this afternoon, as he’d done since getting his driver’s license earlier that year, the last thing Dean had expected was to be stepping into the middle of a showdown between his brother, Sam, and a pint-sized girl with a face nearly as red as her ponytail. Whatever argument they’d been having had apparently escalated beyond the point of no return, and although Sam had definitely been raised well enough to know that you don’t throw punches at classmates - particularly not tiny, female classmates - he’d obviously not outgrown the "my brother can beat up your brother” stage of development.

Dean was now facing down his “enemy,” a fellow teenager he’d never seen before, to the screams of a small horde of bloodthirsty ten-year-olds. He shrugged in embarrassment.

I arrived at Veronica’s apartment building in the middle of the night, shivering and trying not to cry. Her and her mother were quick to take me in, even though it was late at night and I had given them almost no explanation. I muttered something to Ronnie about hating Jughead, before she wrapped me in a hug and a blanket and left me to sleep. Only I couldn’t.
For most of the night, I lay awake on the ridiculously large and high quality bed in their spare room, thinking about Jughead. As much as I wanted to forget all about him, and convince myself I would be better off without him, I couldn’t stop the part of my mind that had had Jughead wired into it since I was born. I had always had him. 

I purged most of my emotion during the night, staining the Lodge’s pillows with angry tears, so by the morning I was a lot calmer. Neither Veronica nor Hermione asked me about what had happened with my family, or with Jughead, for which I was grateful. I borrowed some of Ronnie’s clothes and by the time we reached school I was dead set on never speaking to Jughead again, and cutting him out of my life. I didn’t miss the concerned looks Veronica gave me as I walked boldly through the hallways, my head held up high and my face impassive, but I chose to ignore them.

“Y/N, I know we didn’t really speak last night, or while my mother was around, but are you sure you’re okay?” She asked me, hurrying to keep up with me and hovering behind me when I reached my locker. I turned around, giving her a tight-lipped smile.

“I’m fine, Ronnie, just… thank you for letting me stay.” I said gratefully. She smiled at me, but her eyes remained worried.

“Yeah of course. But if you ever need to talk…” I let out a strained laugh.

“I’m fine, honestly!” I shut my locked and grinned at her again. “Let’s just go to class.”

I managed to avoid Jughead all day, and the next. I didn’t spare him a glance, no matter how much my body ached to turn and grin at him, or find him in the crowd of students after every class. I stopped talking to Betty, too. I really had nothing against her; as far as I knew she was unaware that anything was wrong, and all she did was tell him her feelings, exactly like I told her to. It was my own fault. As the days went on, I began to feel the pang of isolation more than ever. If I was lonely last week, then what I was feeling now could only be described as desolation. I barely spent time with anyone except Ronnie, trying to avoid groups I knew he’d be in, and although I had made up with my family, it did nothing to curb my loneliness. I felt his absence like a missing limb.

I guess I was secretly hoping that when I started ignoring him, he would suddenly notice, like in every film, and he’d coming running back to me, begging for forgiveness. It didn’t occur to me that maybe this would just make me even more insignificant to him. A few days after the phone call it became clear to me that this was exactly what had happened. I headed to Pop’s for some food, but as I walked up to it, I noticed a familiar beanie through the window. Jughead and Betty were sitting in his usual booth, opposite each other. They were both laughing, and he looked so happy. I stopped walking, watching them and wondering if he had ever looked like that when I used to sit where she was sitting. I don’t think I ever made him laugh like that. I felt a sinking, crushing feeling in my stomach as I realised he didn’t need me anymore. I turned around and walked home, trying desperately to hate him, and failing. Later that night I was lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling and wondering if we’d ever speak again when my phone rang. I lazily picked it up.

Jughead is calling…

My stomach churned and I stared at it in disbelief, wondering what to do. I contemplated leaving it to go to voicemail, but my instinct was too strong and before I knew it I had pressed answer and the phone was against my ear.

“Y/N? Thank god.” His relieved voice came through my phone and I almost cried at the sound of his voice, closing my eyes. I tried to remind myself that he didn’t want me.

“Jughead, why are you calling me?” I tried to keep my voice steady and emotionless.

“I need your help.” I almost laughed out loud at the irony of his words. “Betty and I had an argument, and I don’t know what to do.” There was quiet for a moment as I sat, conflicted. He sounded so desperate and vulnerable, and the part of me that wanted to help my best friend, and make sure he was okay was so strong that I practically had to force the words back down my throat. I recalled the phone conversation from only a few days ago, forcing myself to remember how he dismissed me. No. He doesn’t get to ring me after weeks of ignoring me, only to ask for my help.

“Sorry, Jughead, I’m sort of busy right now.” I told him coldly. “Can’t we just talk tomorrow?” I threw his own words back at him, my voice radiating sarcasm. I heard him hesitate on the other end of the line, his uncertainty obvious.

“Please, Y/N. I need you.” He pleaded quietly, and I fumed. My composure shattered and I couldn’t stop myself.

“You need me?!” I asked him furiously. “It hasn’t seemed like you’ve even noticed my presence, let alone needed me, these past few weeks. Especially not when I said those exact words to you, Jughead!” I shouted at him, the words firing involuntarily from my mouth. I caught myself from continuing, letting the silence speak for me. I practically heard him realise what he’d done as he took a sharp intake of breath. There was a long silence, and I could tell that he had no idea what to say to me.

“Y/N…” He started, sounding pained.

“See you, Jughead.” I ended the call quickly, my fingers trembling, and threw the phone away from me onto the bed. He deserved that, I told myself. I tried to distract myself by doing some work, but my mind kept drifting. I would have never imagined our friendship could reach this point. I was brought suddenly out of my thoughts by a startling knock on my front door. I waited for someone else to get it, or for them to go away, but no one did, and they just kept knocking. I groaned, dragging myself up and downstairs.

“Okay, okay, I’m coming.” I yelled angrily as they persistently slammed the knocker. “You’re going to break the doo-” I stopped short as I opened the door and there he was. Jughead stood outside my house, breathing heavily and looking panicked. I met his desperate eyes as my mouth opened slightly. I began to shake my head.

“No.” I said, pushing the door closed, but he wouldn’t let me, his hand gripping the side of it and forcing it open.

“No, Y/N please.” He begged me, and I shook my head incredulously.

“Jughead, I can’t help you with your relationship.” I told him, but he rapidly shook his head.

“That’s not why I’m here.” I paused, looking at him sceptically, still not allowing him to open the door completely.

“Then why?” He paused, and I watched as he rubbed his hand over his face uneasily.

“Would you just come outside, please?” He asked, and I hesitated before stepping outside and folding my arms expectantly. He took a deep breath.

“I’m here because I’m an idiot Y/N. I’m a stupid, ignorant, oblivious idiot, who didn’t realise what he had until it was gone. I do need you, but not just for that. For everything.” He told me anxiously, and a lump formed in my throat at his words.

“That’s not true, Jughead.” I said croakily, looking away and thinking of him in the diner.

“Yes, it is. It is completely true. I’ve… I’ve always had you, you’ve always been there for me, and I realise now that I completely abandoned you when I got together with Betty. And you’re the one who got us together in the first place!” He exclaimed and threw his hands in the air, in disbelief at his own behaviour. I felt tears forming in my eyes and bit my lip, trying to keep them at bay. “And then the other day, on the phone…” He trailed off, looking guiltier than I’d ever seen him. “I let you down.” His voice grew hoarse as he looked me in the eye. “I’ve been going crazy without you, Y/N.” He told me seriously, but I didn’t believe him.

“Don’t lie to me!” I cried. “I’ve seen you. You’re better-off without me.” He immediately shook his head angrily. He stepped towards me.

“Don’t you dare say that, Y/N.” He spoke quietly but fiercely, looking me in the eye. I sighed.

“It’s true. She makes you happier than I ever did.” I muttered. He looked at me helplessly, not knowing what to say.

“Okay, yes, Betty makes me happy.” He admitted, shrugging. “But she isn’t you. She isn’t my best friend. Nothing can make up for the amount of laughter you’ve brought me… for the amount of history we have.” He reached for me, but I stepped away from him.

“Jughead…” I let a few tears fall as I looked at him. “You weren’t there for me…” My voice was quiet and thick with emotion, and it only worsened as I watched his face fall.

“I know, I know I wasn’t.” He said desperately. “And that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever done: not coming to see you that night. Betty and I were having such a good time, and I know that’s no excuse, but I just…” He struggled to explain himself, looking upwards. “I never thought anyone would ever be interested in me, like that, and I guess I just got too caught up in it all.” He looked at me with so much sincerity, I couldn’t help but to believe him. He stepped closer to me again, taking my hand hesitantly, and I let him. “But, Y/N, you’re my best friend, and I hurt you. I let you down.” I could see the shame in his face. He looked me in the eye, speaking with such conviction and clarity. “I love you, and I will never stop being sorry.” He finished quietly and I closed my eyes, my brain willing me not to forgive him. He’ll hurt you again, it warned me. This time, however, my heart won. I opened my eyes to find him looking at me doubtfully, waiting for me to say something. I looked at him for a few seconds and I knew. I knew I couldn’t live without him. I gave him a small smile.

“It is going to take you so long to make up for this, Jones.” I said, and within a second he had stepped forward swiftly and wrapped me in a forceful hug, laughing. My arms came around his back, and I clung onto him, breathing him in after so long. He gripped me tightly against him, pressing his head into my neck and exhaling.

“Thank god.” He whispered against the side of my head, and I could hear both the smile and the relief in his voice. “I thought I was going to have to get out the baby photos as blackmail.” He muttered into my ear and I laughed, pushing him away. Any tension between us immediately dissipated and we laughed together. As the laughter died down he looked at me seriously again.

“Listen, Y/N. I’m going to try and stay with Betty. I really like her.” He told me shyly and I nodded, grinning. I could really get behind this ship now. “But I’m not going to forget about you again. You two are the most important people to me, and I will find time for both for you in balance.” He told me honestly. “Besides, if this has shown me anything, it’s that I’m a complete mess when you’re not around.” He said grinning, and I laughed. We smiled at each other and shared a moment of silent understanding. We were going to be okay.

“So,” I clapped my hands, heading to walk inside and looking back at him as he followed. “I hear you have girl trouble?”

Remus sat with his head in his hands. His heart was hammering, as loud as the thoughts running angrily through his mind.

Ignorant. Impulsive. Sirius.

The words, detached from sentences, scrambled any logic that could have been within him. He was just so-angry. He couldn’t even find his common sense. The very thought of Sirius infuriated him. It was his fault. All of it. He could have gotten snape killed. He was an asshole, yes, but no one deserved that. And did Sirius even think of what it would do to remus if he had killed snape? He would have been devastated.

Remus stood, a pulsing rage swelling in his chest. He looked around at the classroom he had found. After wandering around for a while, he had come across the dark room, occupied only by some old chairs and desks. Unthinkingly, remus grabbed the nearest chair, flinging it as though it was nothing, hard against the wall and watching it splinter and shatter like glass.

“Fuck!”

Remus jumps, whipping around to see Sirius in the doorway holding his cheek tenderly. When he moved his hand, blood ran down his cheek in a thin stream. Remus face turned vivid. “How the fuck did you find me?” He demanded.

Sirius looked up at him with watery eyes. “I was walking past and I heard footsteps,” he explained. He chuckled without humor. “I walked in right on time to get a splinter to the face. Nice aim by the way.”

Remus scoffed. “I wasn’t aiming for you. The fact that I hit you was just as satisfying as throwing the chair, though.” Sirius’ eyes widened. “You’re really mad, aren’t you?”

Remus froze. He turned slowly. He continued to turn until he was facing Sirius with a deadly look in his eyes. “Sirius,” he began, his voice ice. “You are a fucking idiot. That was the dumbest, most immature thing anyone has ever done.”

Sirius, averting his eyes to the ground, walked farther into the classroom and closed the door behind him. “I know, remus I do,” he said, holding his hands out in front of his body. “I was being dumb. I am so sorry. I didn’t think.”

“DIDN’T THINK?” Remus screamed, causing Sirius to cower down. Remus took a breath. “Sirius, do you know how much I have to lose? You don’t seem to understand that I have parents who will be effected by this. I’ll be kicked out of school. I might get thrown out of my house. I could get arrested,”

“Remus, I get it-” Sirius tried, but Remus cut him off. Eyes turning to steel, he stared down at Sirius. Unblinking and glaring, he stared. “You will never understand,” he growled. “Your family hates you. You have nothing. You’ll never understand losing something because you have nothing to lose. So please try your best not to fuck my life up just because yours is so pathetic.”

Remus will never get the image of Sirius’ face out of his mind. The hurt strewn across his features.

Sirius could feel the tears falling down his cheeks, but he didn’t even try to stop them. His heart was aching, and it made him want to curl in on himself. He stared at Remus with wide, pained eyes. The place on his cheek where his tears and blood had created a cocktail of watery red on his pale face.

He took in a shuddering breath. “You couldn’t just beat me up, huh?” He let the breath out, his chest deflating. “I guess that’s your style, though.”

Remus stared back defiantly, no sign of remorse in his eyes.

Sirius turned slowly, pulling the door open and leaving without another word.

Remus sat down, curling his hands into his hair. Why did he do that? Why did he make it so hard to be angry? He should have felt good about it. He should have been happy at the way Sirius’ face fell, but all he felt was this emptiness. It consumed him.

He sank to the floor and cried.
