This race was AWESOME. I can’t believe I did the 5k yesterday and half marathon today without basically dying. My times were extra slow, but I feel good, had fun, and definitely plan on participating again next year! It was around mile 9 that my pace started to really suffer. My feet hurt SO bad. I’m not upset though because these three hours went by faster than anticipated. Except for mile 10? That one felt like forever.
I did a lot of people watching and set some summer goals which was exciting. I’m going to take a little break from long-distance running so I can focus on other things. The paper I wrote for class (and posted the other day) has really been sticking with me and pushing me to stay motivated. I’m going to try my hardest to see some great progress this summer so I can PR in the fall. Today was great. I surprisingly needed this.
