the daylight studio

Marilyn was living with the Greenes in Weston, Connecticut when this image of her was taken in December of 1955. Milton photographed Marilyn in his daylight studio, which had been converted from a barn. Radiating a warm glow even with a white background, Marilyn poses between sawhorses in the studio. Wearing a striped, button-up short sleeved shirt, her hands meet behind her neck while her elbows rest on the sawhorses.
