↳ The Daleks’ Master Plan

“She didn’t understand. She couldn’t understand. She wanted to save our lives. And perhaps the lives of all the other beings of the Solar System. I hope she’s found her Perfection. Oh, how I shall always remember her as one of the Daughters of the Gods. Yes, as one of the Daughters of the Gods.”

Classic and Expanded Universe Doctor Who Appreciation Week
Day 3: A Favourite Classic Series Companion: Steven Taylor
Some reasons why I freakin’ love Steven:
- Is a space pilot from the future, which is very cool
- The king of snark; can even out-sass the Doctor
- Owns a panda plushie which he loves a lot
- Gives the Doctor hell whenever he’s being a jerk
- Steven Regret (tenor)
- Basically everyone’s big brother
- Literally just cares so stinkin’ much
- Does not understand racism/sexism/homophobia or why it was ever a thing
- Refers to umbrellas as “portable rain screens”
- Starts off as a prisoner and ends up a freakin’ king, hell yeah!

  • marco polo is missing. power of the daleks is missing. deep down, you know something else is missing, too.
  • the costumes are getting more and more ridiculousish, or is it the people wearing them?
  • big finish releases a new audio that is nothing but static and screams for two hours. the company denies having ever released it. you buy it anyways
  • you have seen three nimons. three nimons have seen you. they are not the same three.
  • across the world, thousands of people disappear mysteriouslyish. only their headphones are ever found. big finish has announced that they will no longer kill off companions.

  • lungbarrow is back in print. it has always been in print.
  • the comics are not canon. the novels are not canon. the audios are not canon. the tv series is not canon. there is no canon. there is only dimensions in time.
  • new pictures from the second doctor era have been discovered. they reveal that zoe’s jumpsuit is not any comprehensible colour.
  • the daleks’ master plan has been discovered in its entirety. there are no plans to release it, says the bbc controller. he refuses to give a reason. you sense an evil presence in the room, something ancient that should not have been disturbed. perhaps it was destroyed for a reason.
elden-12 replied to your post: If you could have five missing First Doctor…

Surprised you didn’t pick The Crusade. I know it’s got less missing but Ian; IAN BEING KNIGHTED! I need to see that outside of telesnaps… :D

Ah yes we want to see Ian being knighted sooo much and if we could pick individual episodes rather than stories we would pick that ep instantly and say trade it for one part of Daleks’ Master Plan or something (one of the eps where they don’t do much and Daleks are just trundling about lol). Then there’s the Reign of Terror and we want to see some more of the Toymaker, damn this isn’t fair. :(

Here contains all my animated reconstructions on Dr Who’s missing episode past, and some other animated oddities. These aren’t meant to be professional animations, they are supposed to be enhanced reconstructions, like a moving Loose Cannon reconstruction. Enjoy!

anonymous asked:

I'm not very familiar with classic who, but did other timelords travel around too, if so, why does he never bump into one?

In classic Doctor Who, the Doctor rarely encountered other Time Lords on his travels. This is because his home planet, Gallifrey, was a cloistered society with a strict rule of non-intervention in the affairs of other peoples and planets. In short; Time Lords, for the mostpart, were forbidden to leave Gallifrey, and those that did were usually criminals or renegades on the run.

Here’s a very brief rundown of those few Time Lords he did bump into during televised classic serials;

The Meddling Monk (The Time Meddler - 1965/The Daleks’ Master Plan - 1966) was not so much villainous as mischievous , and had a habit of changing established history just for kicks.

The War Chief (The War Games - 1969) was a renegade Time Lord who had allied himself with a race known as the War Lords. He provided the War Lords with the time-technology that allowed them to abduct entire armies from Earth’s history to use in their macabre war games.

The Master (Terror of the Autons - 1971/ongoing) the Doctor’s Moriarty.

Omega (The Three Doctors - 1973/Arc of Infinity - 1983) was the supreme Time Lord engineer and co-founder of Time Lord society. He was missing presumed dead until he struck back at his own people - who he believed had forsaken him - from the heart of a black hole.

The Hermit / K’anpo Rimpoche / Cho-Je (The Time Monster (mentioned) - 1972/Planet of the Spiders - 1974) was, by nature, a deeply spiritual Time Lord who chose a life of hermeticism beyond the confines of the Capitol. His philosophy and story-telling left a deep influence on the Doctor as a young man. The Hermit later left Gallifrey and became a Buddhist Abbot on Earth, going under the name K’anpo Rimpoche. K’Anpo’s PA was a Tibetan named Cho-Je, who later revealed himself to be a future incarnation of the same Time Lord.

Morbius (The Brain of Morbuis - 1976) was a former member of the High Council of Gallifrey who urged the Time Lords to use their vast powers for galactic conquest and empire-building. When his plans were rejected he rebelled, formed an army and attempted to usurp power. He was executed for his crimes, but his brain survived. A criminal surgeon named Solon built Morbius a new body, Frankenstein style.

Drax (The Armageddon Factor - 1979) was a personal friend of the Doctor who had gone AWOL from Gallifrey to become a sort of intergalactic tinker. A genius when it came to practical mechanics and electronics, but otherwise not overly-bright!

Romana (The Ribos Operation - 1978/Warriors Gate - 1980) - the Doctor’s companion, originally recruited (or, more accurately, tricked by the White Guardian posing as the President of Gallifrey) to assist in the search for the Key to Time, she refused to return to Gallifrey once the mission was accomplished and gained renegade status.

Salyavin (Shada - 1979) a Time Lord in possession of such extraordinary mental powers that, despite his kindly nature, was deemed as a threat to Gallifreyan Society and imprisoned in perpetuity in the Time Lord prison of Shada. His escaped went unnoticed due to his powers, and he retired to Cambridge, England to lead a quiet life as a University Professor under the alias of Professor Chronotis.

Azmael (The Twin Dilemma - 1984) was a former academy tutor and close friend of the Doctor. He retired to the planet Jaconda and became it’s benign ruler.

The Rani (Mark of the Rani - 1985/Time of the Rani - 1987) was exiled from Gallifrey for unethical genetic experiments. At some point she obtained a TARDIS, set herself up as despotic ruler of the planet Miasimia Goria and continued her nefarious work across time and space.
