A moving memorial ceremony took place on Monday evening in Østerbro in Copenhagen close to the place where the first victim of the weekend shootings were killed:
On Monday evening about 30,000 people had shown up on Østerbro in Copenhagen to commemorate the two victims of the terrorist act over the weekend in the capital.
Among the many people were also Crown Prince Frederik, who were at the forefront along with Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and the Liberal leader Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
It was hard for everyone - including Crown Prince Frederik - not to shed a tear when the singer Pernille Rosendahl from the stage sang John Lennon’s masterpiece Imagine.
