the cript

I’ve been very busy with work lately and sleeping five hours a night and things, so I’m probably overreaching and/or not making any sense, but this -

- I loved this, not only the scene, but how everything was framed, and yet there’s something bugging me - why is Dean keeping his right hand on the sigil and his left on the blade? Dean is right-handed - it would have made much more sense to cut his left hand and keep his dominant hand unhurt and free.

As I said, I’m basically delirious - but what we do know is that the left hand is the one which is a symbol for love, right? because that’s where we keep our rings (according to a medieval legend, there’s a vein that goes from the heart to our left hand, so that’s why our weddings bands go on our left hand and not our right)? Whereas the right hand - that’s rationality, doing things, fighting, writing, being all practical and sensible. And Dean’s right hand is on the Enochian sigil, because that’s the good choice - that’s what he should do to save everyone’s lives here - his, and also Sam’s, because his brother’s not far behind, because he never is, and as for Cas -

Dean’s feelings for Cas - a left-hand kind of thing. Back in Celebrating the Life of Asa Fox, the other Yockey episode, Dean picks up Asa’s angel blade with his right hand, because that was a weapon, and Dean favours his right hand when he fights, and that’s what makes sense. But this time around - I don’t think that blade is Cas’ (?), but it’s still an angel blade, which means it represents this brave, amazing, infuriating angel Dean loves unconditionally - hence the left hand, and Dean’s ‘illogical’, ‘wrong’ decision to trade his life for Cas’.

A picture proving that I will go to graveyards all over the world. This time I’m in Croatia.

I promise I’m funny. Follow me on Instagram to find out if I’m right.

@cript-art-blog submitted to fini-mun:

Hi, I’m the anon who asked about you giving critique… This is my oc Cole (the snowshoe cat)… This is the only full body reference I have atm- I made it just the flats, so that it might be easier to critique.

anyways here’s some info on him to help your critique; he lives in Holoska (which is basically Canada), has hydro-kenisis and I didn’t give him much to wear because most male sonic character don’t wear much. Just gloves and shoes.

Ps. If you’re going to tag me- tag me as “cript-art-blog”. Its the blog I usually use- its just happens to not be my main. (I wanted my ask blog to be)

Okay sorry for the long, long delay on this. You sent this to me back when I did that bottlenose redesign thing, so I’m guessing you wanted me to give similar input for your character (”How to make it look more SEGASonicish”).

These are just my personal thoughts, and this is your character so take from it what you will!

I didn’t draw the full body because it wasn’t important towards the points I was going to make, sorry if that looks odd.

  • I emphasized the star like shape the fur was making around the head. I always think with Sonic characters that it’s a good idea to find a strong shape and work with it. You could also turn the ends of the ‘points’ of the stars upwards a bit to be more like your original design, but I just wanted to emphasize the star-like quality.
  • I like the mask you did around the eyes a lot. Very snowshoe and adds visual interest to the face. The only thing I really changed was to make it more flush with the shape of the eyes. Think of how Marine’s eyemask follows her eyes.
  • I made the ruff around the neck more ‘poofy’ and going around the entire neck. I’m trying to invoke sort of the concept of a wooly jacket hood, since the character is a Holoska native.
  • I also added the fluff to the gloves and boots, but I’m thinking the colour may have been better white rather than lavender, or even a pale tan? But anyway I was trying to make the gloves and boots look somewhat heavy duty- gotta keep those extremities warm. Since Sonic characters don’t generally wear a lot of clothing, you need to work with the articles you do get.
  • I tufted the tail, a bit like Blaze’s. There’s really nothing wrong with the blunted tail, but SEGASonic characters don’t really do that and this is slightly more visually interesting/ties with the head shape better.
  • Small, small detail, but on the legs (and would have on the arms if it weren’t covered) I made the markings begin just a little down the leg and not immediately at where the leg joins the body. It helps emphasize the limbs as being ‘part’ of the body and not placed ‘onto’ the body, if that makes sense.
  • … I changed the colour pallete, obviously. A big thing I see fanartists do is use more natural colours for their characters. I’ve done it before myself, so I’m not saying ‘never do it’. But as a rule of thumb Sonic characters aren’t coloured anything like their natural counterparts. I picked a desaturated blue and purples for your character because they gave an ‘icy’ or even slightly ‘aurora borelias’ feel, to tie into the Holoska thing. It also played well with the teals of your character’s clothing.

I hope that helps you out. Like I said, it’s your character so you’re free to do as you wish. You can use any of these ideas or ignore all of them, that’s up to you :)

SPOILERS! I read season 8 leaks scripts and I'm die from laughing... I hope these cripts are false, 'cause... there are no surprises. The story is straightforward, no relationship is questioned, dead are ones we all expect ... and who Sansa ends up getting married still laughs at me...

Are you referring to the S8 4Chan spoilers? Because, yea, I’m still laughing over those 😂

Of Pixie Dust and elvish ears

Prompt : i swear that i’m in love with emma touching eveything in regina’s cript like a curious little child asdfghgfdsdfgfds childish cute emma get’s me every time. (and now i can only imagine emma only covered in a sheet and going around hook’s bedroom inspecting all the books and trinkets that he has and asking him about what they are and how he got them and killian lovingly watching her and wrapping her in his arms and being all cute and lovely and sexy.

Rated M for sexy times, C for cute, E for ears

One would think that the crowned space of Killian’s bed would make it difficult for them to sleep. His arms were around her waist, and despite them sharing a pillow, Emma didn’t want to let go of this moment. It was still early in the morning, or late in the night - it was hard to say since the pirate didn’t have a clock in his cabins - a detail she noted and that later made sense.

It was logical for someone who spent 300 years wandering in a place like Neverland to get revenge, not to want to have any idea of the time running away.

Emma swallowed at the thought, shaking her head slightly to focus on her attention on the pirate sleeping next to her. (if not on her). Who would have thought he was the cuddling type?

His features were relaxed, and the tension gone made him look younger, his eyelashes casting shadows on his cheeks. Her eyes wandered over the edge of his face, taking a full sight of him without getting worried about him making a snark comment - which he would do if he were awake about how she couldn’t help herself but ogle him.

He was obviously naked - they had spent the night doing “more enjoyable activities” and Emma’s cheeks warmed up to the memories of his hands, lips and body touching, kissing and pressing her down onto the tiny bed.

There was like a tiny wind kissing her shoulder and making her tremble, Killian must have felt it, because his embrace around her waist tightened, his nose falling on her shoulder. She wanted to laugh, not knowing yet how to react to this new intimacy, it was nice, new and yet familiar, simple and natural. A familiar heart coiled low in her stomach at his contact, his hips close to hers, his good hand on her hipbone holding her against him.

Her hand went to his hair, brushing it aside gently, it was something she wouldn’t do much in public or even in private, with him awake, and even less recognize, but she did love this fluffy messy hair he had. She would tangle her fingers in it when he would kiss her, and of course, during their making love, his hair turned out to be her favorite spot to hold onto.

Dwarven Runic Magic

In addition to its obvious uses in literature and communication, the dwarven runic script also has another use: runic magic.

Runic magic comes in basically two forms: runic enchantments and rune casting.

Runic enchantments are runes inscribed on various surfaces and enchanted with magic to imbue them with magical power. As the dwarven runes are polysemous, a single rune might carry a number of different enchantments depending on what surface it’s inscribed on. For an example, one dwarven rune carries the meanings of “fire, purification, the hearth,” and when inscribed on a weapon it allows that weapon to become wreathed in flame when the rune is read. When inscribed on a hearthstone, the rune gains a protective effect, either warding evil spirits or alerting the inscriber to the presence of intruders in the home. The most popular use of the rune, however, relates to its meaning of purification: when inscribed on a drinking vessel, the rune supposedly protects the drinker from the bewitching effects of alcohol. There are also so-called victory runes, inscribed on the hilts of weapons for luck in battle.

Most dwarves don’t possess the magical powers to actually bind magic into the runes they inscribe, so for the most part runic enchantments are just a form of magical thinking. However, a rune imbued by a dwarf actually skilled in magic can carry great power, depending on the whims of the dwarf in question.

Rune casting is a form of divination unique to dwarves: the diviner places a number of stones, one for each rune of the dwarven runic cript, in a small leather pouch, and under a meditative state draws a number of runes from the bag. The runes are then interpreted in relation to what direction they are facing (a rune pulled upside down takes on its opposite meaning), the order they are drawn in, and the various meanings they possess.

Again, as with runic enchantments, most dwarven rune casters don’t possess any actual magical ability, so having a dwarven rune caster read you the runes is basically hit and miss. However, a dwarf with actual magical ability may make use of the runes as a divinatory tool, replacing the standard bags of bones and other tools used by humans.

It bears mentioning that dwarves are extremely fatalistic and deterministic: they believe that all are slaves to fate. Actually divining the fate of a creature is seen as something of a transgression, but most dwarves still visit a rune caster during times of difficulty in their life. Because they are so fatalistic, a dwarf who has the runes read for them might become so obsessed with the reading that it becomes something of a self-fulfilling prophecy due to confirmation bias.

Dwarven Runic Magic in Your Game: For the most part, dwarven runic magic is a matter of how you flavor your spells: a magic weapon spell cast by a dwarf might take the form of a victory rune inscribed on the weapon, a healing potion created by a dwarven artificer might just be a vial of water with a healing rune inscribed on it, and so on. Dwarven spellcasters might wish to describe their divination spells using rune casting as a material focus, replacing whatever foci the spell normally has.

On the GM side, if you’re okay with improvisation and your campaign features lots of dwarves (as well as the themes of fate and destiny) you might have a dwarven rune caster do a reading for the PCs. For this you’ll need a set of runes (either make your own or use the original Elder Futhark, which has already been adopted for runic divination by the New Age movement). After determining the runes, use these as a guide to plotlines and themes in your campaign. Or don’t: if you’re of the opinion that dwarven rune casting is a bunch of bullshit, do the reading anyway and then don’t have it affect your prep in any way. If you play it right, your players will start seeing signs of the reading everywhere in spite of the fact that you never integrated it into your prep.

É come quando resti
Con gli occhi depressi
Per dirmi: “Ciao, come stai?”
Che ti guardo come se dovessi salvarti da un mondo che é pieno di guai
Io potrei ma non voglio
Prendere un foglio
Guardarmi in TV mentre muoio
Quando c'é la tua immagine
Penso alle pagine scritte
Cripte, voragine
Sono in guerra a Cartagine
Strati di nuvole rapide
Questa non é una canzone
Questa é la mia annotazione
Sopra la lapide
Metto il mio nome
Inciso nell'acqua
Mi piace vincere facile.
