Katz wasn’t a choice I had thought of until recently. like honestly the idea just kinda slapped me in the face while I was coming up with ideas, but it did make me wonder why I hadn’t thought of him before. Courage the Cowardly Dog was one of my favorite shows from Cartoon Network’s golden years, possibly my favorite period and of all the creepy crap that showed up in that show, Katz stood above them all.
You may not understand why I think that. To that I say, “you probably haven’t watched the show, have you?” Okay, so it’s true that there was a plethora of other bizarre things in Nowhere that outright looked way more scary then Katz. Looking at him he’s very unassuming and non-threatening… and that’s precisely WHY he’s so damn scary!
Katz was one of the show’s rare uses of subtlety, well for the most part! Overlooking stuff like him turning people into household appliances, Katz was one of the few things in Courage the Cowardly Dog that wasn’t in your face ridiculously scary, or something dark that was so played up for laughs that it really wasn’t scary at all, instead Katz had a very subtle, sadistic nature to him. The fact that he was so calm and in control of any situation he was in always as opposed to Courage’s frantic, helpless nature made for a wonderful contrast to the protagonist as well as made you question what Katz was going to do and any time that unsettling theme of his played in the background it put me on edge… in a good way!
Another thing that probably helped this was Katz was also one of the few reoccurring villains in the show, instead of a one-shot like many others so you immediately knew what he was capable of when he returned and while the show never out right said it, I loved the implications it gave that Katz was akin to the antagonist from The Most Dangerous Game; an eccentric millionaire who has long since used his wealth to experience every kind of thrill the world has to offer and is now so bored with life that the only thrill he can get now is using said wealth to concoct the most elaborate ways of killing people… or very likely I’m looking WAY too into this and stuff like King Ramses and the freaky “You’re not perfect” demon fetus are all way scarier but hey, this is my opinion.
And going back to Katz’s unsettling theme, here it is for you to enjoy:
So one thing I love about mother 3 is the fact that the party is made up of characters that people wouldn’t normally label as heros.
Then I realized the heros from Earthbound are almost the exact opposite of the characters from mother 3! While there are similarities with the characters like how Duster and Jeff are both non-PSI users and Paula and Kuma are, just check this out.
Not only this, but some more differences include:
- Ness mostly only has a mother around throughout the game, with his dad only being a voice over the phone. Lucas only has his father after Chapter 1 of Mother 3, as his mother passes away.
- Paula is beloved in her town, by her parents, the preschoolers, and almost everyone in town. A lot of people care for her. Meanwhile, Kumatora grew up mostly alone, isolated in a castle, never really interacting with many human beings and only really with the Magypsies and ghosts.
- Jeff’s dad doesn’t spend any time with him, and Jeff doesn’t get any attention, praise, etc. from him. Duster has the opposite, as his Dad is too overbearing and cares too much about Duster’s success. In short, Jeff’s father doesn’t care enough about what his son accomplishes, and about him in General, while Duster’s father cares too much about what he accomplishes.
-I don’t really have much for Poo and Boney to be honest, but one thing to point out is that Poo is the prince of a country while Boney is literally just a dog. Poo has a lot of expectations for him and a big responsibility, while, once again, Boney is a dog.
…Think about it.
I feel like this shows even more that everyone can be a hero. You don’t have to be courageous, or brilliant, or well liked. That’s one thing I also love about mother 3. The party consists of a cowardly little boy, a tomboyish psychic princess, a lazy smelly thief with a disability, and a dog. Despite all of this, it turns out to be them who are able to save the world. I think that is amazing.
I got so many requests for a part two to Mother and Father, so as you wish, here it is! Hope you guys enjoy it!
I hardly spoke the rest of that day.
What had gotten into Peter? Why was he so mad about what happened?
I thought through all the possibilities. Maybe he didn’t like the idea of romance on the island? Maybe Peter didn’t want Felix to have any distractions?
But none of that lined up. Nothing would have made Peter as angry as he was.
I felt a tug at my shirt and looked down to find one of the younger boys, Gabe, staring up at me with curious eyes.
“Is Felix okay, Y/N?” He asked worriedly. I smiled and bent down to his level.
“Felix is going to be fine. He just needs some time for his shoulder to heal up.” I reassured him. He shook his head at this answer.
“No, no, not his arm! He didn’t eat his lunch and he didn’t come out for dinner.” Gabe explained. “We haven’t seen him since the accident.” He pouted.
He was right. Felix hadn’t come out at all after his encounter with Peter.
I looked around to make sure Peter was out before I made a plate of food for Felix.
I stared at his tent, contemplating whether or not I should even go in.
I took a deep breath, mustering up all the courage in me before stepping in.
He was laying in his cot, his back facing me.
His calm breaths lead me to assume he was asleep, so, I set the plate down and quietly walked over to the cot. I sat down and carefully moved him by his shoulder onto his back.
I gasped at the dark bruise resting on his cheek.
This was my fault, Peter was mad because he kissed me. I should’ve just left as soon as I finished stitching him up.
I reached out and carefully stroked the damaged cheek.
His eyes opened immediately, as if he’d never been asleep.
“You shouldn’t be here.” He grumbled, attempting to sound stern, but it came out softly.
“Why did he hit you?” I asked immediately. I wanted answers now and Felix was the only one who had them.
He stayed silent, his eyes shutting for a bit. Sighing, he gently grabbed my wrist and took my hand away from his bruised face, his hand lingering on mine for a moment before he let it go.
He sat up and threw on his cloak. He began walking out once he grabbed his club.
“Hey! I was talking to you!” I shouted as I followed quickly after him.
He continued to walk into the woods, ignoring me completely. I struggled to keep up with his long strides. Why did his legs have to be so damn long?
“Felix!” I screamed once again.
He turned abruptly on his heel and glared down at me, his face cold and hard as he slammed me into a nearby tree. His hot breath blew rapidly onto my face, his face now inches from mine.
“What? What do you want, Y/N?!” He shouted, his captivating grey eyes boring into mine. His breathing slowed down a bit, his eyes softening as he saw my frightened face.
“You’re.. You’re making this harder than it has to be.” He admitted and shut his eyes, pressing his forehead softly to mine.
“Making what harder? What did Peter do to you?” I demanded, my voice quiet and shaky.
He held my face in his hands and, desperately, his lips found mine. He kissed me as if he was scared he’d never be able to again. Slowly, he forced himself to pull away from me.
“He’s angry. He wants you, Y/N. Pan’s possessive, and if he wants you then he’s going to get you because Pan. Never. Fails.” He explained angrily.
“And if Pan wants you,” he began again after a minute of silence, his voice wavering. “I have to respect his orders.”
Looking down to our feet, he sighed shakily.
“So, I can’t have you.” He finished, pushing himself off of the tree and grabbing his club that he’d left on the floor.
He gave me one last heartbreaking glance before walking further into the woods, but this time I didn’t follow him, and I didn’t shout his name. I stood there, wondering what kind of a person Peter really was, and what he’d done to gain so much power over Felix.

“Pan!” I shouted as I marched back to camp.
He was sat on a log in front of the fire playing his pipe as he watched the boys dance around wildly.
His head whipped in my direction, never before having heard me this angry. He stood up and made his way over to me.
“So I’m just ‘Pan’ now?” He chuckled, but the glare on my face told him I was in no laughing mood. “What’s got you all fired up?”
Oh, if looks could kill.
“You.” I growled.
His eyes widened at my tone.
“What’ve I done?” He questioned innocently, raising his brow in a way that made me want to smack him straight across his pretty face.
“You shouldn’t have hurt Felix just because of your petty jealousy. He’s been nothing but loyal to you, and he deserves some happiness in his life. You didn’t get what you wanted, so what? Grow up.” I spat.
He laughed, but his eyes held something far from amusement.
“Grow up? You want me to grow up, Y/N?” His smile dropped as he stared at me with dark eyes. “Don’t you know, darling? This is Neverland. You never grow up.”
He began to walk around me, like a lion circling his prey.
“As for Felix, well, he took something that belonged to me, he had to be put in his place.” Peter explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
I couldn’t hold back any longer.
I smacked him.
“I’m not an item, Pan, and I’m certainly not yours! You think you’re all tough because you own this place, but in all reality you’re a coward. You’re just a cowardly boy who felt the need to use his power on someone you knew couldn’t fight back. Someone who’s been by your side through everything and would lay down his life for you, but you let your petty feelings get in the way of that. Felix has been bruised, scarred, and nearly killed all in your name, and you felt the need to dim the one bit of happiness he could’ve had. You know, you might have saved him from whatever kind of life he had before this, but here, he’s no less lost.” I spat, tears forming in my eyes.
I turned on my heel and ran toward my tent, the boys all watching in silence.

I laid in my cot for God knows how long, and the sun had long before set.
I was going to get it from Peter. I don’t think anyone had ever talked back to him like that. I was just surprised he hadn’t come to collect me sooner.
I didn’t think much of my punishment though, I was much too worried about Felix. He had thick skin, but I knew Pan had gotten under it. He seemed strong and stable, but I saw the hopelessness in his eyes back when we were in the woods.
I heard someone step into my tent. Knowing it was Peter, I closed my eyes and hoped he would think I was asleep.
His hand rested on my shoulder, and to my surprise, he leaned down and pressed a tender kiss to my forehead.
“I know you’re not asleep, Y/N.” Felix’s monotonous voice said.
My eyes shot open and I sat up in my cot.
“What are you doing here?” I whispered in fear Peter would hear us. “Peter’s going to be angry you-” he placed his hand over my mouth.
“Hush, it’s fine. We’re fine.” He soothed. “Something happened, he’s thinking differently. I don’t understand it, but he told me if you made me happy then he wasn’t going to get in the way of it.” He explained.
I struck a chord in Peter.
Guilt washed over me as I wondered if I’d really hurt his feelings.
Felix gently grabbed my face in his large hands.
“Why do you look so sad? This is good, this is what we wanted,” he smiled, but it faltered when he saw I didn’t return it. “This is what you wanted, right?”
I smiled, kissing him gently.
“Of course it is, but.. I have to fix something first.” I said as I stood up, pulling my shoes on and heading outside.

The boys told me Peter had been in his tent the majority of the night after our dispute.
When I went in I found him on his cot, absentmindedly sharpening one of his arrows.
He looked up at me and I winced as I saw the red mark on his cheek.
“Is this important? I thought I told you no one was to step foot in my tent.” He grumbled, going back to his arrow.
I sat down next to him and I felt him stiffen.
“Thank you, Peter,” I said quietly. “I was wrong about you.”
He looked confused for a moment.
“You’re not a coward, you’re a boy who doesn’t know how to express his feelings.” I explained. I chuckled a bit. “You truly are a lost boy.”
He looked down, placing his arrow on the ground and looking up to meet my gaze once again.
“Don’t think because you had the audacity to disrespect me as you did that things will always go your way because I can assure you this is the last time.” He said, his voice wanting to be stern and hard, but it came out softer than he wished.
I smiled, leaning over and kissing his cheek. His eyes widened at the sudden contact.
“Of course not,” I laughed. “Peter Pan never fails.”
Fandom: Katekyo Hitman Reborn/Miraculous Ladybug (knowledge of ML not required)
“Don’t do that; it’s unbecoming.”
“But, but, but.”
“Please tell me you’re used to it already. We’ve been at this for six months.”
Internally wailing, Raion looked at his partner. “Koumori,” he said, clutching his tail in a nervous gesture. “That Akuma is freezing everything, causing tornados and making cars fly!” Did his partner not see the same thing as Raion? Sure every villain they faced was dangerous, but this one, the one calling herself Arashi took the cake.
Naturally, Koumori smirked that infernal smirk of his and clearly welcomed the new challenge.
Something about this felt familiar yet different.. the atmosphere gave a sense of nostalgia, and even the figure in front of him seemed familiar, to his surprise he forgot most of his teen years for whatever reason probably something having to do with being brainwashed. Still the teen seemed to look like his brother the nose and hair looked like the hero, it took a few seconds before he asked “M-mario is-a that you?” Luigi then went silent waiting for a response.

Don't you think it's awesome how sociable Juuzou is being now, especially with his squad? The Juuzou of before was completely antisocial.
Even more than sociable, I think what excites me about Juuzou is his ability as a leader. I mean, I never would have in 1 million years expected him to have a squad of his own, and not just to have a squad, but to win an actual CCG award for his squad. And his squad is incredible. They are talented, but they are also disciplined. They move in perfect formation, even moreso than Arima’s squad. They respect him so much, too, they all stand when he enters the room, and they even take things like his snacks super seriously. On top of that, he’s an incredible teacher. When he started with Tooru, the boy was cowardly and weak. Juuzou’s lessons not only allowed him to survive the Auction, but also gave him the strength, courage, and confidence to continue growing into the skilled, strong fighter that he is now.
Basically, Juuzou is smarter, stronger, more skilled, and more generous with his time and self than any other CCG investigator that I can think of, and I don’t think that anyone gives him the proper credit for that. I was just talking to my partner today about how I want to write meta about how intelligent Juuzou is. I see so many people talk about how he’s cute or weird or violent or so many other things, but people almost never talk about how he’s genius-level intelligent, a great teacher, a brilliant leader, and an admirable strategist.

It was a little pass 7am when Yuri entered the locker room to change into his skates. Another day at practice. He walked to the second aisle where his favorite locker was. As he sat down and took off his shoes, he stared at his lightly bandaged feet. Training for the senior program was no easy task. He never expected it to be so deadly. He slowly gained more respect to those older than him for being able to skate the way they do.
Subconsciously, he thought about Victor and Yuuri. They were probably skating in that ice rink they all once shared. Yuuko would be watching. Maybe the triplets were there too with their dad, cheering them on.
As Yuri tied the knot to his skates, a smile crept on his face. How nostalgic. Suddenly, his thoughts were disturbed by the door opening and in came two young ice skaters, probably from the junior division, a year or two younger than Yuri. They lingered in the first aisle, opening their respective lockers.
“-haha! Yeah I heard. Washout loser of Japan got Victor as his coach. Did you see how bad he was last year?”
Yuri paused all movements to listen. He knew exactly who they were talking about.
“What kind of weird voodoo do you think he used?”
“I don’t know but its enough to sway our Victor.”
“Lucky bastard. Maybe he seduced Victo-”
Yuri had had enough, “OI.” he slammed a fist against one of the lockers.
The boys yelped as they watched Yuri emerge from the second aisle, head tilted slightly, eyes glaring menacingly, “If you fuckers got the time to be bitching about someone you don’t even know about-”
He couldn’t even finish as the boys cowardly apologized, “WE’RE TRULY SORRY” and ran out of the locker room.
“Tch” Yuri bitterly walked back to his stuff and kept them in his locker.
Once out of the locker room, he took out his phone. He didn’t really think about what he was doing but next thing he knew, he was video calling Yuuri’s caller ID.
After realizing what he did, instead of ending the call, he let it ring. At least he was calling before his practice. He reminisced what happened the previous time he called AFTER his practice. He shuddered and mumbled, “They better not be in bed agai-”
“YURIO~!!!” Victor’s voice cut in with his carefree face appearing on the screen.
“THAT’S NOT MY NAME DAMN IT!”
“Eh? Is that Yurio-kun?”
“Mm! Yuuko-chan wants to say hi?”
Yuuko came into view this time, squeezing in with Victor, “Yurio-kun! How are you?”
“How come you don’t mind her calling you Yurio?”
“Does she have a choice?” Yuri deadpanned, “Besides, whose phone is this? Where’s the owner?”
Yuuko smiled, “Aha, well he’s…” but she disappeared from the screen, leaving Victor looking at something else with a distant look in his eyes.
“Oi Victor! Don’t ignore me!”
“This is it.” Victor whispered. There was this knowing look in his eyes that Yuri had seen before, once or twice.
“Eh? Really? It’s only his second try by himself.“
“Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on?”
Victor smiled at Yuri, “You called just in time, Yurio.”
“Damn it Victor, that’s not my-” the scene changed as Victor turned Yuuri’s phone so that the camera was facing the ice rink.
Yuuri was skating in the middle of the rink, gaining speed as he reached the other side. And then. He jumped.
It was a perfect quadruple salchow with a complimentary smooth landing. An overwhelming emotion started spreading inside the young Russian skater. Somehow it annoyed Yuri how happy he himself was for Yuuri to be able to land a jump he had mastered years ago.
Instinctively, Yuri started shouting, “OI FATTY! YOUR TAKE-OFF WAS LAGGY AND YOUR LANDING WAS SLOPPY!”
Yuuri slipped and fell on the ice after hearing the shocking criticisms, “E-Eh? Yurio? From where?”
“OVER HERE IDIOT!”
He heard Victor laugh, “Don’t worry Yuuri! That’s how he compliments others!”
“No it’s not!”
“Video call?” Yuuri confusedly got up.
“That’s right! Come say hi Yuuri-kun!”
Unfortunately, Yuri had already reached the entrance to the skating rink where the others were waiting for him. Reluctantly, he called after Victor, “Oi. I’m hanging up.”
Victor turned the camera back, “So soon?” Then he smiled fondly, “Ah, morning practice.”
“Is he still there?” Yuuri’s voice was finally heard clearly. He had hurriedly skated towards them once he knew Yuri was on the phone.
“It’s a shame, he’s hanging up already.”
“Oh.” Yuuri sounded disappointed. Victor lifted Yuuri’s phone to have the camera facing all three of them. Yuuri was leaning over the barricade, visible sweat dripping down his face from harsh practice.
Yuuri smiled brightly as he saw Yuri on the other side, “Dasnivadya, Yurio!”
“It’s ‘Dasvidania’” Victor corrected with a laugh in his voice.
“Yuuri-kun, your russian is horrible.”
“I’M SO SORRY” Yuuri panicked.
As before, a smile tugged helplessly on Yuri’s face. The three people on his screen all smiled and waved at him as they synced, “Bye-bye Yurio-kun~!”
Yuri hung up and kept his phone in his jacket pocket. That day, he brought the pleasant feeling in his chest onto the ice. A similar feeling to his ‘agape’.
A/N:I always had the feeling that Yurio didn’t lose when he came to Japan. Yeah sure he lost the onsen on ice competition but he sure as hell gained a new family~ (Also take note that Japan is more or less 6 hours ahead of Russia)
When he wakes up, the first thing
he does is run his hand over his chest.
He can still remember it, the feel of the blade. Can still remember Emma’s face, how it had
crumpled, how she had called for him.

smile hits his lips. They did it,
then. Swan and her lad did it. He knew they would.

the queen and her prince lie, still unconscious. Killian knows he should probably check on
them, make sure they’re okay, but memories are still fresh in his mind.
Staring down the queen, only to be stabbed in
the back by the prince…
His hand runs over his chest

He knows the royals aren’t to blame for what they did, that they were

where he knows Emma sleeps. It’s enough
distance that his muscles relax, even though he knows it’s foolish that he was
tense in the first place. His hand
hovers over his chest once more, and Killian bites back a curse, and runs it
through his hair instead. He glances around, to see if Henry is there, but
there’s no sign of him. With his
mothers, he assumes, and leans against the wall with a weary sigh.
He is fine.
He is alive and whole, and Emma and her boy are fine, now all he needs
is for her to be there.

Just a little longer, until he knows he has his bearings…
then the door swings open, and he hears her voice.
