Part 7 of ‘My son, Bringer of Storms.’

The more Jared spent time with you and River, the worse things seemed to get between him and Genevieve. And the worse things got between them, the sadder and lonelier he looked, which had you inviting him over more to be around River. It was a vicious circle, but River could make him smile when everything else just seemed to weigh him down.

River had invited Jared and Jensen over for a Thursday night game night, since Jensen was heading to Texas next day. Pizza was ordered, Root beer for River, beer for the guys, and Jared had smiled and presented you with a bottle of wine. “Stop trying to butter me up.” You chuckled. “I won’t go easy on you.”

“What makes you think I need you to.” He grinned, as him and Jensen stepped in.

“Dude. Our son is turning 9 soon. Video games are where we live.” You smiled. “No matter what he chooses to play, I’ll kick your ass.”

“Bring it.” You hadn’t seen a smile like that on his face in a long time, and you didn’t miss how happy it made River to see it.

Domestic Drabbles - 4: Two Couches and A Turtle

Wow, I’ve been on a roll! Presenting part 4 of Domestic Drabbles :D

This one was inspired by real life events with my husband. Because we fight about couches.

And shoutout to my amazing beta and support and BESTIE, @baz-n-simon :D

It wasn’t my idea to buy two sofas. There was absolutely no point when the one we have is perfectly comfortable and spacious. But Penny insisted.

Simon,” she had said, rolling her eyes at me when I questioned her at the furniture shop. “As much as I love sitting right next to you and Baz while you two snog your faces off, I really think that buying another couch would be a good idea.”

But, Penny—

No ‘buts’, Simon. We’re buying another couch.”

I didn’t argue with her further at the time, but now I wish I had.

Baz glares at me from across the room as I adjust my legs on the sofa. He’s curled up on the new couch, on the other side of the living room, in a pile of blankets that I threw on him earlier, and only his head and his book are peeking out from it. He looks like a turtle; a very irritable one.

“Honestly, Snow,” he says, snapping his book closed. “There’s room for both of us to sit over here.”

“Baz, it’s a loveseat.

“Obviously, Snow.”

“With my wings and your ten blankets, there’s no way we can comfortably sit over there. Plus” —I gesture at the space next to me— “there’s more room over here.”

Baz rolls his eyes. “That couch sits directly in front of the sun. And you know I—”

“—get sunburns. Yeah, yeah.” I wave my hand at him nonchalantly, and he scoffs and glares at me again.

“I need these blankets because I’m cold.”

“You wouldn’t be cold if you sat over here.”

Baz narrows his eyes.

“Yeah, yeah,” I say. “Sunburns.”

He rolls his eyes again, and shifts further into his blanket pile. “I’m not moving.” His stare is challenging.

I shrug. “Fine.”

Baz cocks his eyebrow, then shakes his head and opens his book.

This is why I dislike the whole ‘two sofas’ thing. It’s a never-ending argument over who will move when we want to sit together. Baz seems to live in his blankets, and my wings are too bulky, which makes our original couch perfect. It’s comfortable and can easily fit five people. Penny’s loveseat is just too small. But Penny placed it in the darkest corner of the living room, and Baz immediately started sitting there. I scoffed at this. Typical vampire.

When the room becomes too quiet, I stare over at Baz. He seems somewhat flustered and still irritated, and he keeps grumpily pushing his hair out of his face. I grin and stand up. He glances at me and catches my eye, watching me as I walk over and stop in front of him.

“You look like a turtle.” I say, pushing a few strands of his hair behind his ear and grinning even more.

“I hope you didn’t come over here just to insult me,” he says, but he just seems flustered instead of angry. I then move over some of the blankets and sit awkwardly by his feet. I move my wings around, folding them a few different ways, but nothing seems to work.

“Here, Snow,” Baz says, sitting his book on the side table. He pulls off his blankets, props up his knee, and lets his other leg hang off the side. “Come here.”

I grin at him again. I do that a lot; grin at Baz. I move over and sit by his knee, laying down sideways against his chest and propping my feet on the edge of the loveseat. He pulls one blanket over me and one around his shoulders, then pushes my wings to lay up against the back of the couch.

“Comfortable now?” He asks, looking down.

“Yeah,” I say, wrapping my fingers around his arm. He puts his hand in my hair and pulls through it gently.

“Good,” he says. “But I’m not. So when the sun goes down, we’ll sit on the other couch.”

I look up and smile at him. “Yeah?”

His eyes are shining, as bright as grey can, and he kisses me.

Suddenly a door shuts, and Penny walks into the room. She’s staring at us intently, her eyes fierce and her mouth in a frown. She walks towards the front door and grabs her purse from the coat rack.

“Where are you going?” I ask.

“To get another fucking sofa.”

Ships with major height differences are great because

  • The small one’s holiday gifts are hidden on the top shelf.
  • One ALWAYS forgets to put the seat back when they borrow the car.
  • Booster seat jokes at the cinema and restaurants.
  • The tall one hits their knees on furniture in the other’s apartment.
  • Tippy-toe/bending down kisses.
  • One’s arm is too big to get the thing behind the couch while the other’s is too short.
  • Can’t… Reach… Anything.
  • Perfect lap ‘dances.’
  • The tall one completely covers the small one in hugs.
  • The tall one becomes a bed.
  • Best opportunity for reversed D/s.

Party Favors [Justin Bieber & Chris Brown Imagine]

After picking up your phone, you checked the time for the tenth time in the last twenty minutes. You were impatiently waiting for a call or text from Justin saying that he was outside. He had invited you to another industry party and of course you said yes. It’s rare for you to say no to him especially when it came to spending time with him because of the feelings you have for him.

Justin doesn’t know that you like him. As far as he knows you see him in the exact same way he sees you, as a friend and nothing more. It was difficult sometimes and for this reason you’ve tried to get over him many times. You’ve tried to date other guys but Justin always kept your attention so you managed to learn to deal with just being his friend despite your feelings. Eventually you convinced yourself that as long as you just had him in your life, you were good.

After what felt like hours, Justin texted you saying that he was downstairs. You grabbed your purse and phone before leaving your apartment and going downstairs to get in his car.

“It’s about time you got here.” you said as you closed his car door.

“I had to get dressed. It takes time to look this good.” he replied, rubbing his chin. He must really be feeling himself tonight.

“And I thought you were born with it."  you told him.

"Well, yeah, but you have to maintain it.” he said. You laughed and shook your head as he pulled off, starting the drive to the party.

“So who’s going to be at this party?” you asked.

“Just the normal crowd. You’ve already met most of the people who are going to be there.” he answered. You just nodded your head, getting comfortable in your seat and enjoyed the rest of the ride.

After a while, Justin pulled up in front of this huge mansion. There were cars everywhere and people were lined up outside trying desperately to get the security at the door to let them in. You weren’t even inside yet but you could tell that this party was huge and that made you a little uneasy.

You hadn’t realized that Justin was out of the car until he was opening your door and helping you out of the passenger’s side. He closed your door once you were out and locked his car before leading the way to the door. The security guards let you both in after one look at his face.

When you entered the party you looked around, observing everything. It was really open, almost like a club and more chill than you expected, probably because most of the people there were famous. Justin greeted almost everyone you walked past, making you grab his arm out of nervousness. You had met everyone there once or twice, but you weren’t around any of them enough to truly feel comfortable around them. It really felt like Justin was the only person you knew in the entire party.

He led you to a slightly elevated area that had a big red couch and not too many people. It seemed like it was the perfect spot because you could see the whole party from where you stood. Justin sat down and patted the spot next to him, signaling you to sit down as well. Once you did, you found yourself looking around again, taking in everything about your environment. The colorful lighting in the party reflected off a lot of well known faces as they put red cups and bottles to their lips. The music was loud but not so loud that you couldn’t talk to the person next to you and there was a scent of weed in the air. It honestly felt like more of a lounge than a house party.

“Y/n, I’ll be back, okay?” Justin said.

“What? Where are you going?” you asked.

“Someone just walked in that I really need to talk to. I’ll be back.” He stood up and sprinted off before you could even protest.

You looked over by the door to try to figure out who was so important that he had to leave you by yourself to talk to them. You weren’t surprised when you saw Selena at the door with a couple of her friends. In no time he was in front of her and you watched as they hugged and started to walk to some other section of the party.

You rolled your eyes before looking away. Of course he was talking about his ex. He was crazy about her for reasons you couldn’t understand after everything they’ve been through. He used to always want to talk about her and since you had feelings for him it was hard for you. It got to the point where you had to tell him that you didn’t want to hear it. You blamed it on their back and forth thing being annoying but that was only part of the problem. You hated talking about him being with her because it wasn’t you and now that you were sitting in this party by yourself while he was off talking to her you realized it’d never be you and that it was finally time for you to get over him completely.

“Yo, you here with Justin right?” a male voice asked you. You looked at the spot where Justin previously sat to see that Chris Brown was now there. You looked up at him and nodded your head, not trusting your voice enough right now to verbally answer his question.

“Well he kinda left you here so just stay by me. I don’t want you to be alone.” he said. You smiled, finding the fact that Chris was looking out for you very nice. You wouldn’t expect him to really care what happened to you or if you were alone or not since you had just met him in this moment.

“Thank you. I really appreciate it.” you told him.

“No problem, ma.. You want a drink or something?” he replied. You had only thought about it for a second before he spoke again. “C'mon, you need to loosen up. It’s a party, you’re supposed to have fun.” he told you. A girl walked into your section with a bottle of liqour and he took it from her, pouring some in his now empty cup and handing it to you.

You looked into the cup at the clear liquid, contemplating whether you wanted to drink it or not. You didn’t drink much so you worried about the effect it may have on you. You didn’t want to do anything you’d regret tonight. You looked up at Chris and he gestured for you to drink a little so, after hesitating a bit, you did. He gave you a big smile afterwards.

“Ayyyeee that’s what I wanted to see! Now just drink a little bit more for me.” he told you. You drank the remainder of your drink down, earning raised eyebrows and an amused expression from Chris.

“Okay, ma, I see you. I’m glad you’re loosening up.” he said, pouring you another drink. “So you’re Justin’s girl?” he asked.

“No, we’re just friends.” you told him. He bit his bottom lip while nodding his head.

“So you two just met or…”

“No, I’ve known him for about two years now.” you answered, drinking more of the liquid in your cup. The more you drank, the better it started to taste and the more relaxed you started to feel.

“Wow, really? I’m surprised we haven’t met until now. Justin must be keeping you from me.” he said. You titled your head and looked at him through narrow eyes.

“Why would he do that?”

“Well, you’re beautiful, and he knows how I am with beautiful women.” he told you. A smile crept onto your face and he wore a smirk on his.

“And how are you with beautiful women?” you asked. You were flattered that he thought you were beautiful since you’ve always thought he was really handsome. You didn’t want him to know that yet, though, you wanted to see where he was going to take this conversation first.

“I don’t know, I just… I can’t keep my hands off them.” he revealed to you.

“Well, you haven’t touched me once.”

“Yet. I haven’t touched you yet.” A smirk replaced the smile on your lips as you looked at Chris. He didn’t seem nervous or intimidated at all, but you didn’t expect him to be. You actually thought you’d be more nervous after what he had just told you, but you weren’t. Instead you felt bold and wanted to take a risk.

“Are you planning something, Chris?” you asked him, smiling again. He smiled and shook his head before looking ahead of him.

“Me? Nah. I’m not planning anything.”

“That’s too bad.. I was hoping you were.” you told him, making him look at you again. He gaze moved from your eyes to your lips as he licked his own. You noticed that the space between the two of you was slowly decreasing and that your face was coming extremely close to his.

Soon, there was no space between the two of you at all. You felt his big, soft lips press against yours. The kiss was gentle enough that you felt comfortable with it but hard enough to send a shock through your body at the same time. He took the initiative to deepen the kiss, slipping his tongue in your mouth slowly, making you recreate the same movement at the same pace as him. It felt like it was over as soon as it started, and he was pulling your lip with his teeth before letting it pop back into place. You didn’t say anything, you just looked at him, still in shock about what just happened.

You opened your mouth to speak but at the same time you felt your arm being grabbed and your body was lifted up and being basically dragged through the party. Halfway between the door and the car, you noticed that it was Justin who had grabbed you.

“Get in the car, y/n, we’re leaving.” he said, anger was apparent in his voice but you didn’t know why.

“Justin, what the hell is wrong with you?!  Why di-”

“Just get in the car, y/n.” he said, his jaw was now clenched as he looked at you from the other side of his car. His eyes adverted to the area around you before looking back at your face. Realizing that you were outside in front of a bunch of people, you decided to just get in the car and he did the same.

“Now are you going to tell me what’s wrong with you and why you dragged me out of the party like I’m your puppy or something?” you asked. Justin started the car and began driving, a little too fast in your opinion.

“What were you doing with Chris?” he asked, completely ignoring your question.

“I was hanging out with him, he’s cool.”

“Yeah, I bet.” he said with the same attitude he’s had since you left the party.

“Seriously, Justin, what is your problem?”

“You kissing Chris Brown in the middle of a party that I brought you to is my problem!” he yelled. He gripped the steering wheel a little tighter but managed to slow down and stop at the red light.

“Chris was keeping me company after you left me at a party that you brought me to.”

“Keeping you company? How, by sticking his tongue down your throat?”

“Well it’s more than what you did by walking off to be with Selena.” you said. He didn’t respond to you after that, he just smacked his lips and began driving again when the light turned green. You looked at him for a while before putting your attention on the road.

You tried to calm yourself down and think of something else but what just happened wouldn’t leave your mind no matter how hard you tried or what you thought about. You could not believe the way Justin had been acting since the moment he left you at the party. He was being a real jackass tonight and you weren’t here for it.

“I don’t even see why you care who kisses me. We’re not dating nor have we ever dated. I can do whatever I want with whoever I want and you can’t do anything about it.” you told him.

“I just think it’s disrespectful. As far as everyone knows, you’re my date. What do you think everyone there is thinking about us now?”

“I don’t care what everyone is thinking about us! Did you care when you left me to hang out with your ex?! I don’t think you did!” you yelled, getting more and more pissed off as time went on. Luckily, you weren’t too far from your house now.

“Really, y/n? That’s really how you feel?” he asked. He still had an attitude but he wasn’t nearly as pissed off as before.

“Yep. That’s exactly how I feel.” you said, rolling your eyes and folding your arms across your chest. Justin let out a long sigh before he spoke again.

“I’m going to tell you why I’m tripping, okay? Seeing you kiss him like that made me jealous. It pissed me off because I want you to kiss me like that.” Your breath hitched in your throat and it felt like your heart had dropped into your stomach.

“What are you talking about?” you asked, studying the side of his face as he kept his eyes on the road ahead of him.

“I like you, y/n… I really do.” he told you. You squinted your eyes as so many thought ran through your head. You thought about how you liked him when he called you everyday talking about Selena and how many times you tried to use other guys to get over him when it wouldn’t work. Then you thought about how you really liked Chris and finally thought you found someone to take your mind off Justin only for him to hit you with this immediately after.

“Oh so now you like me? Why, because you saw me with Chris? You sure as hell did not like me when you left to go talk to your ex who doesn’t even really care about you for an hour. Do you understand how that made me feel?!” Angry didn’t even describe how you felt right now. You were livid for so many different reasons and Justin was at the root of them all.

“I’m sorry about leaving you, okay? Damn. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I did like you then and I like you now!” he yelled. He pulled up in front of your house and sighed again. “I really was planning to ask you to go out with me, next weekend maybe.” he told you. You shook your head in disbelief of pretty much everything right now.

“You should’ve thought about that before you left me alone to go talk to your ex.” You opened the car door and got out, slamming it behind you. You walked to the door of your building and went up to your apartment without looking back at him even once.

Helllo! I'm that fallout anon again! How about the companions' first kiss with the SS? :D

Featuring: Cait, Curie, Danse, Deacon, Hancock, MacCready, Nick Valentine, Piper, and Preston

Cait - Her first kiss comes out of nowhere, no warning or preamble and is as brash and straightforward as she is. She takes the initiative as she and the Sole have been flirting for a while, and she’s finally got impatient waiting for them to make the first move. It doesn’t matter where they are, when the thought takes her, she follows through. She grabs the Sole by the front of their clothing and kisses them, scrunching her eyes closed and holding her breath. She doesn’t want to be rejected - despite all her bluster, she does have feelings. Her lips are rough and chapped, and there’s an uncertainty behind the kiss. It’s over in a few seconds, but the Sole grabs her before she can move too far out of their grasp and kisses her again. This time there’s less worry and the Sole is more receptive. Cait drapes her arms around their shoulders and leans into them, almost melting. If you listen closely, you can practically hear her purring like a cat.

When the kiss ends, the Sole pulls away and smirks. “Was wondering how long it would take you to crack.” They joke. Cait scoffs and gives them a quick jab in the upper arm before sauntering off, rather pleased with herself.

Curie - She has seen couples in various settlements being affectionate to each other, and read about it in some of the books she’s skimmed for science and research. She asks the Sole - to whom she experiences feelings of attraction but doesn’t quite understand those feelings yet - exactly what a kiss is and why people do it. Taken aback, the Sole explains that kisses are an expression of affection and love, often shared between friends and people who are close to one another. Curie prompts them that they are close to one another, to which the Sole agrees. She asks, rather coyly, if they should kiss considering how they are friends and she would like to express her affection for them. The Sole agrees. The kiss is dainty, slow, and a little clumsy to begin with. So far Curie has only used her lips for talking and eating, kissing is something entirely new, but she knows from the first touch that she likes it.

When the Sole pulls away, Curie has to catch her breath. She cheeks are flushed and she blinks herself back into the world. The Sole is smiling, and Curie laughs in spite of herself. She comments that she will have to kiss them more for a true understanding. “All for science and research, of course.”

Danse - The first kiss with Danse is as awkward as he is. He doesn’t know or understand why he does it, but it’s something that he has been thinking about for some time. It happens as he’s helping the Sole with some modifications to a gun, or as he helps them make some adjustments to their power armour. The two of them are in such close vicinity that even through his power armour he is sure he can feel the warmth of them. When they reach for the same tool at the same time, they look at each other and the Sole gives a sheepish little laugh. It’s then that Danse drops his head, eyes closed and presses his lips to theirs.

The Sole is tense, and Danse is certain that he has overstepped a boundary that should never be crossed. They’re soldiers, after all. Comrades. To consider anything beyond that is foolish and selfish. Danse is the one to break the kiss. He’s embarrassed and turns to go when the Sole stops him, their hand on his cheek. They rise up on their toes to reach him, and kiss him. This time it’s not awkward, or strange and Danse relaxes. His hands find their waist and remain at a respectful height until the Sole pulls away and grins up at him. “Warn me next time.”

Deacon - He can’t do or take anything seriously, especially not something like a kiss. Something which is supposed to be exciting and enjoyed. And when he decides he’s interested in the Sole, he tries more than once to kiss them but to no avail. Either the moment is interrupted, or the Sole is utterly oblivious to his attempts. Luckily, he stumbles on them reading on a couch in one of the settlements. A rare moment of downtime where the Sole is relaxed, and is giving themselves some time to rest. The opportunity is too perfect. Silently, he slides behind the couch and lies himself up perfectly behind the Sole, peering over their shoulder at what it is that has their attention. He asks if it’s good. The Sole jumps, then leans their head back to tell him. That is when Deacon takes his chance.

He kisses them, upside-down, kissing their bottom lip between his own and winding his hands down over their shoulders and lose around their neck. The Sole drops what they were reading, and reciprocates, arching their head back further and making a soft noise of appreciation. Their fingers slide up over Deacon’s head - a good sign. When he pulls away, Deacon brushes their nose with the end of his and grins impishly. Without a word, or mentioning what just happened, he stands and climbs over the back of the couch to sit beside the Sole. “We should definitely do that more often.” He pulls them into their lap and kisses them again more soundly.

Hancock - He’s been thinking about kissing the Sole almost non-stop since they shot a raider right between the eyes over his shoulder from quite a distance, saving him from a combat knife to the neck. He’s smitten, though he would never admit it, and kissing them is something that keeps him up at night. As he helps them traverse a particularly unsteady bit of bog, the Sole misplaces their foot tumbles into the water pulling Hancock with them. Drenched, the two of them find themselves laughing in spite of themselves. The Sole apologizes for ruining Hancock’s clothes and he brushes their apologies off with a wave of his hand. Hancock is up first and grabs the Sole’s hands with his, heaving them to their feet. They almost fall into the water again where the mud is so slippery, but Hancock is able to hold them steady, his hands at their waist. The moment is too perfect, even with muddy water staining their face and dripping from their hair. Hancock inches in without a word, eyes flitting from the Sole’s eyes to their mouth and back, as if questioning if this is alright. The Sole surprises him by closing what little space is left between them, kissing him hotly.

His kiss is sure and betrays a certain expertise. Even with a ghoul’s scarred mouth and barely there lips, he knows what to do but he is certain not to overwhelm the Sole. Taking the kiss deeper is tentative, his mouth opens a little and the Sole copies him. It doesn’t matter to either of them that they’re out in the open and could get attacked at any moment. He finds himself sighing like a love-struck teen when the kiss finally ends. For a few seconds he and the Sole look at each other before he smiles and flicks at their wet hair. “Guess we should get you outta these wet things.”

MacCready - His kiss comes after shooting several ghouls who had the Sole pinned in a small room in one of the many abandoned buildings they explore looking for loot and materials that could be useful in settlements. It was like watching the ferals attack Lucy all over again - only this time he was quick enough to fire and kill. It’s at that moment he realises how much the Sole has come to mean to him, that he can’t imagine being without them. He knows that the area of the building they’re in is clear of ghouls now. As the Sole shoves the corpse of them, he all but tosses his gun to one side, strides across the room and is kneeling before them checking for injuries. He kisses them without warning, frantic, hard, desperate, soft little groans peppered between sharp breaths. His fingers draw back into the Sole’s hair, thumbs pressing into the hollow beneath their jaw. It doesn’t even register to him that they’re kissing him back just as hard and needy and hungry, angling their head for better purchase.

They run their fingers back through his hair dislodging his hat, when it hits the floor, MacCready pulls away suddenly. It’s like he’s falling back into the room and realises what he’s done. He stutters and stammers, trying to apologize. The Sole quiets him, shaking their head and tells him that it’s fine. He can kiss them whenever he wants. It takes a moment for him to register what they’ve said. When he does, he gives a crooked smile and leans his forehead against theirs, relaxing. His voice is hoarse when he asks: “you okay?”

Nick - Human Nick has given and received many kisses and Nick can remember the sensation, how it all felt. At least he thinks he can, it’s something in his memory core that he is sure feels like a kiss, but as synth, after so long, it’s hard to know or remember. He knows it’s been a long time since he’s really wanted to kiss anyone, but since teaming up with the Sole, it’s been something he’s thought about more and more. He doesn’t know why, or what it is about the Sole, but something about them ignites in him feelings he didn’t think he would experience again. He is sure it’s remnant of the human Nick pushing through - he doesn’t mind. As he pours over documents and reports in his office after Ellie has gone home, he’s surprised to hear the door to the office open and more surprised when it’s the Sole who walks in. He gets up to greet them, grateful for the company and the distraction. Too many unsolved cases, too many missing people. As Nick retakes his seat, the Sole comes around to his side of the desk and looks over the case file before him. As they ask questions, Nick finds himself looking at them as he answers. He admires their profile, the slope of their nose, their forehead and the way their mouth moves as they talk, totally unaware of what they’re saying at the time. When the Sole looks at him expectantly, he mutters something under his breath and shuffles some papers in his hands.

He is surprised to feel the Sole’s fingers move along his cheek. When he turns back, it’s just in time to see them inclining and to register the sensation of their lips against his. He doesn’t resist or complain, in fact he reciprocates readily drawing the Sole closer. It’s like everything in his programming goes into overdrive, and he finds himself chuckling when the Sole pulls away, smirking. Nick laughs at the mischief on their face. “I knew you were going to be a distraction.”

Piper - If only the Sole knew what a pain in the ass they were to wake, and somehow it’s always Piper who gets the job of waking them. After just calling them doesn’t work, she resigns herself to either pulling them out of bed, stripping them of their blankets, or unleashing Dogmeat on them. However, when she finds the Sole curled up, snoring softly and cuddling a pillow, she finds she doesn’t have the heart to be cruel to them. They deserve the rest. They probably need it, all the travelling and fighting for their life they do. Still, the day won’t wait, and if she doesn’t get the Sole up it’ll be Codsworth and he’s too chipper. She nudges the Sole, prodding them in the shoulder and the cheek while speaking their name slowly bringing them to the waking world. The grins at their bleary eyed face and their grumbles of complaint, comparing them to Nat. The Sole grabs her, and she shrieks as she’s pulled down into the Sole’s bed, playfully pinned with their arm over her waist. She continues to prod and pester until the Sole silences her.

The kiss is sleepy and lazy, and takes Piper by surprise. Her words fail in her mouth and after the initial shock has worn off she returns the affection with a shyness that surprises the Sole. She cradles the back of their skull in one hand, taking breaths when their lips part for brief moments. The Sole leans up above her and she notices the tiredness is gone from their face when they part. She rolls her eyes and pushes herself up off the mattress. “So you’re not that tired then, Blue.”

Preston - Another day, another settlement and after clearing debris, this one is finally liveable and has plenty of room for farming. It’s not been an easy task, clearing all the garbage but it’s done. The day is hot and Preston wipes sweat from his brow. He watches the Sole tidy a few things making them neater and look nicer. More presentable for potential settlers, they disappear inside the small living building they have spent days constructing. He is struck, not for the first time, how they never complain. Throughout everything they have experienced since walking out of Vault 111 he has not heard them complain once. He admires them, more than just as the General, but as a person he respects and cares about. He pulls a purified water from his pack and takes it to the Sole, determined that they should take a break before they finish setting up the wiring for the radio tower. They bump into each other as the Sole reappears in the doorway bumping into Preston’s chest. They stumble, Preston catches them, arms steady around their upper arms. He isn’t sure what it is that makes him do it, but when the Sole looks at him it’s like his brain disconnects and instinct takes over.

He closes the gap between them, and as soon as his lips brush those of the Sole, Preston is suddenly acutely aware of what he’s doing. It’s barely enough to be considered a kiss, but it is what he apologizes for. The Sole laughs and assures him it’s fine, that if he wants to kiss them, he can. If fact, they want to kiss Preston right now. Preston’s response dies in his mouth with the touch of their lips. The purified water he is still barely holding on to drops to the floor. Preston smothers the Sole up in his arms and finds himself smiling into the kiss. “I was going to ask if you wanted a refreshment. I suppose this will have to do.”

I think I lost steam when I got to Preston, I’m sorry if this isn’t quite what you had in mind. D:

anonymous asked:

All these grant photos and videos and comic con got me feeling some type of way so can I please have a grant imagine where he takes you to comic con and introduces you to everyone as his girlfriend or something like that

I just had to get this up because of all the photos Grant has been putting up on Instagram. Major FOMO right now :( Maybe one day I can meet him!

“Y/N! Are you ready to go yet?” Grant called from the door of our hotel room, a little sigh escaping my lips.
“Uh yeh, I think so,” I replied, turning from side to side to make sure my outfit was perfect.
“You look beautiful babe,” he appeared in the doorway, a loving smile gracing his flawless face. “But if we don’t get going now, I think the others will literally kill us.”
“I know I know,” I waved off his comment, straightening my shirt out one last time before I was rudely yanked from the bathroom, an amused Grant pulling me out the door. “This is just the first time meeting everyone, and the fans! Grant what if they don’t like me!”
“Calm down Y/N,” he chuckled, pulling me to a stop in the hallway, cupping my cheeks with his hands. “Everyone is going to love you, and if they don’t, then they’re missing out on a beautiful and funny girl.”
“Yeh but… Your fans can be brutal sometimes,” I bit my lip, remembering what happened to his last relationship and how the fans managed to tear that apart.
“I promise you, everything is going to be alright,” he pressed his lips against mine gently, pulling back before I could take it any further. “Come on, before we both end up dead.”

“If I had known this is what Comic Con was like, I would have come way before I met you,” I giggled, collapsing on a random sofa we had found, throwing my legs on Grants lap, staring up at him with pleading eyes.
“Next time, don’t wear heels,” he rolled his eyes, taking my shoes off and starting to massage my feet, letting out a pleasurable moan at the feeling.
“Uh, Grant?” a soft voice broke us from our moment, making Grant look up and me pull my feet back to my chest, suddenly very self conscious. “C-can I please g-get a photo?”
“Sure thing babe,” he gave her a breathtaking smile, hoisting himself up from where he was sat and giving her a tight hug, making her burst into tears.
“You’re making her cry,” I laughed, holding my hand out for her phone, knowing the drill by now.
“I can’t believe you’re real,” she sobbed, gripping his shirt tightly in her hands, making Grant begin laughing as well.
“I’m very real,” he pulled back from the hug, keeping one arm wrapped around her, looking down at the young fan with a loving expression, making me subtly snap a photo of the intimate moment. I took a few more photos before handing her back her phone, giving her a small smile.
“Are you his girlfriend?” she asked, fiddling with her phone in her hands, staring up at me questioningly. I glanced at Grant, seeing him nod.
“Uh yeh, I am,” I chuckled, picking at the edge of my skirt, nervous to see her reaction.
“I ship it,” she simply said, leaning forward to give me a hug before she ran off.
“See,” Grant hip bumped me, making me playfully glare at him. “The fans love you. I haven’t seen one of them be rude to you at all.”
“That’s because you’re here,” I stuck my tongue out, picking my discarded shoes up and taking his hand, entwining our fingers and letting him pull me along to the next meet up. “As soon as you’re gone, it’s gonna be a free-for-all. Who can kill Y/N first!”
“Ha ha, very funny,” he laughed sarcastically. “I would never let anyone, fan or not, hurt my baby.”
“Excuse you mister,” I scoffed playfully. “I can take care of myself.”
“Well then, let’s see how you handle yourself after this,” he winked, pulling me into the backstage area of Hall H. I gave him a funny look, narrowly dodging the various staff members that were running around, trying to set up the panel that was about to take place.
“What are you talking about? I’m staying backstage,” I pointed out a lone sofa tucked into the back corner. “I’ve already claimed that sofa.”
“Nuh uh, you’re coming on stage so we can formally introduce you as my girlfriend,” he grinned cheekily, gesturing for me to put my shoes back on.
“Uh, no I’m not,” I shook my head, digging my heels into the floor so he couldn’t pull me any closer to the stage.
“Come on, it won’t be that bad,” he pouted, wrapping his arms around my waist and giving me a soft peck. “I promise this is the last thing, and then we can go back to the room and order pizza.” I chewed on my lip, thinking over my decision.
“Make it Chinese and you have a deal,” I finally said, squealing when he began to spin me around, continuously muttering ‘thank yous’ and placing kisses all over my face.
“Stay right here and I’ll come to get you soon,” he finally put me down, giving me one last kiss before he bolted off to the rest of the cast, turning around and giving me a thumbs up.
This was going to probably be the worst decision I’ve ever made.

“Alright, we’re opening up to the floor now, so get ready with you’re questions,” the commentator announced, causing a frenzy of excited fans to shoot their hands up, clearly excited to talk to the cast. One girl stood up, clutching the microphone tightly in her hands, staring up at the cast with wide eyes.

“Uh, this is just a question of interest, but who is that girl that’s been hanging around with you guys all day?” she asked, making my stomach drop, knowing what was about to happen.
“I’m glad you asked,” Grant chuckled, almost evilly, scooting his chair back and rushing off stage, poking his head around the wall separating backstage from the main room. “Come on Y/N.”
“I don’t know if I can do this,” I bit my lip, tugging on the end of my skirt nervously. “There’s so many people out there.”
“It’ll be fine, I promise,” he held out his hand, urging me to take it. I let out a deep breath, placing my hand in his and letting him pull me onto the stage.
“Wait no! I change my mind!” I squeaked, tugging on Grants hand and trying to rush back to safety, only to have him throw me over his shoulder and carry me the rest of the way.
“This, ladies and gents, is my lovely girlfriend Y/N,” Grant spoke into the microphone, setting me down in his seat, crouching down next me. My eyes almost fell out of my head when I saw the sheer amount of people that had crammed into the large room, making me scoot the chair back slightly.
“Uh, hello,” I picked nervously at my nails, cringing at the sound of my voice echoing through the hall.
“I LOVE YOU Y/N!” a sudden yell made me jump, making me look into the crowd to find the source of the voice. It happened to be the girl from before, sat giggling with her group of friends.
“She was worried that you were all going to kill her, and I promised you wouldn’t, so please don’t make me break my promise,” Grant chuckled, hearing the sounds of ‘Ok Grant’ and ‘We won’t’ echo back.
“Alright well this has been great but I think I’m gonna go back to my corner now,” I shuffled off the chair, giving Grant a kiss on the cheek before bolting off stage, hurtling myself onto my couch.
“Wow,” the fan with the microphone giggled, catching my attention. “She’s too perfect to be real.”
“I know right,” Grant laughed, making all the girls (and probably boys) swoon. “I will pinch myself probably every day for the next,” he paused for a moment. “Hopefully, years. I’m so glad you guys like her.”

Alright, so maybe it wasn’t the worst decision I’ve ever made.
