the complete third season

My Favorite Series In Order:

Sailor Moon:

I love the entire Sailor Moon franchise.  Yes, it’s mostly a nostalgia thing, but I can’t help but to love it.  The manga is a classic, and the 90′s anime, while being long and cheesy, is still something that to this day I will watch.  Usagi is a relatable character, and every senshi is enjoyable and unique to the show.  While the first two seasons of Sailor Moon Crystal were pretty terrible, the third season completely makes up for all of the faults in it thus far.  Plus, SeiUsa and HaruMichi are life.

Assassination Classroom:

Assassination Classroom is a fantastic series.  This is a series where you grow with every character.  This series is a roller coaster of emotions.  It has some of the most incredible moments I’ve ever scene in anime, as well as some of the most heartbreaking.  The ending to this show mentally destroyed me, and is the only series to this day that will make me break down every single time no matter how many times I’ve seen it, both subbed or dubbed.  It teaches so many life lessons, and is a must watch/read for everyone. The first season closing is not only my favorite closing, but one of my favorite songs, that to this day, I still listen to. Also, KarmAgisa is life.

Kuroko no Basket:

Alright, I love this anime. I love the characters, I love the manga, I love the voice actors, I love the fan arts, I love the fanfictions.  I love absolutely everything.  The story is intense, and it hooks you from the start.  If you like sports anime, this one is a must watch.  Also, AkaKuro and Kuroko x GoM my favorite <3

Tokyo Ghoul:

I’m very connected with this series.  I’ve been following this series religiously every week for years, so of course it’s one of my favorites.  Now, the anime is very disappointing, and the second season doesn’t exist, but I will still love it, especially since the last few chapters of Re have been fucking phenomenal. The opening for the first season is easily one of my favorite songs ever created. Also, I need Re animated like now.  It deserves it.  Actually, I need Part One redone as well.  Can we just reboot the entire anime series?

I love this series.  Like Tokyo Ghoul, I’m very invested in the manga.  Manga wise, I love the art style, and the story arcs; and once again like Tokyo Ghoul, the second season also does not exist.  The story is very well written, although this most recent arc is dragging a bit (but that’s normal for different series).  Ciel is such a little bastard, and it’s wonderful to read.  It’s a dark series that won’t get a happy ending, and that’s part of what hooks me to it.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt:

This anime is fucking gold.  It is hilarious, and soo fucking inappropriate.  It’s by far my favorite comedy.  It’s art style is so unique and it has the best dubbing ever created.  The dub is by far better than the sub.  It also has the biggest cliffhanger ending, and fucking NEEDS a season two desperately.

I love this series so much.  This is another one of those series where I love every aspect about it, from the anime to the manga to the dubbing and subbing and even the Live Action T.V. Show and Movie.  It’s my favorite romantic comedy and always the first one I recommend to people looking for a shoujo.  Every character is unique in their own way and the story is really adorable.  I love the manga where you see so much development from everyone.  Also, Hikaru and Kaoru deserve Haruhi, and I don’t care what anyone says.

No Game No Life:

Shiro is adorable as fuck.  As a gamer, this show relates so much to me.  It’s an amazing fantasy, and the story is perfect.  The animation is beautiful, and the colors are so vibrant and beautiful.  Sora and Shiro are cute together and their interactions make the show that much better. I need my second season.   Side Note:  Jibril is best girl.

Shokugeki no Soma:

Food Porn.  Of course I’d love it.  This is once again another series where I’m invested in the manga, so of course I’d love the series.  I read the series weekly, and the most recent arc is making me fall further in love with the series.  The manga is a great read, and you actually learn a lot about cooking through the series, whether it’s the manga or the anime.  The food orgasms are hilarious, and the animation for this show is amazing.  I would kill for a season three of this show this year.

I will always have a soft spot for this series.  It was the first anime that really got me hooked to sports anime.  I love it.  Yes, it’s a bit dramatic at times, but being an ex-swimmer/lifeguard, I find this series so relatable, making me love it even more.  Also, the fan service is definitely a positive.  I love the Japanese voices, and the OP and ED’s for both seasons.  The movie prequel they did was also amazing.  The animation is gorgeous, but that’s to be expected from Kyoto Animation.

So yeah, those are my top ten series!  Thoughts?

I enjoyed your S4 speculation a lot. One potential direction I haven't seen in yours yet is the possibility of acquiring Clarice's rights. With the anticipation and expectation of getting her rights, do you think Bryan would prepared S4 in a way to follow up with Clarice - like 'hannigram' will eventually dissolve to make way for the book canon endgame couple? I would like your thoughts on that. I often see Will's death, or 'friends' route so there's room for lovers+soulmate for Clannibal.

I imagine Bryan Fuller has had some plan for Clarice ever since he pitched the first 247 seasons of the show to Mads Mikkelsen back in 2012.

However, from the sounds of the discussion at RDC3, it doesn’t sound like he anticipates there being movement on the rights issue, and additionally, that he thought it would be a shame to lose the investment and development that audiences and he have put into the Hannigram relationship. I believe the audience at RDC3 emphatically insisted that he keep his investment in Hannigram as well, and to my knowledge, he heard them loud and clear. But I wasn’t there, so you might be better off asking for opinions on this from @existingcharactersdiehorribly, @genufa, or @the-winnowing-wind. Whatever has happened to his plans for using an expy if he had to is not clear to me, and his discussion then of how you can’t copyright a performance and why he couldn’t use Will (or Jack?) if he used Clarice and or use Clarice if he used Will, but he could use Hannibal with either when he had previously said that MGM didn’t have the rights to Will, Jack OR Hannibal…well, none of that makes a lick of sense to me to this day. Maybe he was just brain-farting. Or I am.

Bryan’s talked a fair bit about potentially bringing Clarice on as a black woman, someone with a little more biting way about her than Jodie Foster’s version from the film, and someone who is less susceptible to Hannibal than Will, but tbh, he hasn’t said much that has been particularly concrete and what he has said has seemed to run a little hot and cold depending on whether he expected at the moment of any given interview to get the rights. I’ll let you Google his comments for yourself.

I have written a number of speculations about Clarice entering the show and what her relationship with Hannibal, Will and Jack might be like. They’re probably buried deep in my “s4 speculations” and “s5 speculations” tag, or you could alternately look up “clarice starling” or “clannibal.” Buyer beware, though–for a long time in the fandom early on, there was what I would call ship passive aggressiveness (not outright ship war) from Clannibal shippers who felt threatened by Hannigram, which then became reciprocal, and you’re likely to find me saying in no uncertain terms what I thought on that matter if you look back in the tag far enough. It’s not really pretty.

I don’t think I’ve written on it in a while, though, so in terms of my own opinion today, I’d say that right now I’d be surprised if they did more than introduce Clarice/expy in S4, and tbh, I’m not even expecting an introduction at all. Bryan had said that he’d written S3 to end in the way it did without the intention of going to SotL directly after and S4 would be the most interesting story yet for Will Graham, whatever that means. Bryan seeming somewhat negative at RDC3 about having Clarice and Will together and the fan response at the time makes me think that he’d set her to the side, at least for the near future, and whatever pitch he’d have to make in August/September would probably be without her.

In terms of the ultimate question about whether or not Hannigram would dissolve to make room for Clannibal…

This sucks now we have both Friday the 13th and Halloween both in limbo is there any good news in regards to any of our favorite old school franchises?

  • Cult of Chucky is currently filming with release date set for this October.
  • Hellraiser: Judgment is finished with a limited theatrical/VOD release set for October as well.
  • Leatherface is complete and is expected to have a release date set shortly.
  • Suspiria has completed filming and has revealed that it is not a remake but a semi-sequel, which means fans can rest easy knowing that it doesn’t retread the first and can fit comfortably as a spinoff of the Three Mothers trilogy.
  • Ash vs. Evil Dead is expected to launch its third season by the end of the year.
  • Scream will also be heading into a third, albeit shorter, season.
  • Puppet Master: Axis Termination has completed filming and might be a step-up over recent entries, as crowdfunding money is being put into the effects.
  • Children of the Corn: Runaway has completed production, if that’s your thing. Worth noting that this sequel was actually directed by Feast’s John Gulager.
  • Bates Motel will go full Psycho with its final season, debuting later this month, I believe.
  • IT has completed filming, has confirmed its R-rating and will hit theaters on September 8th.
  • Saw: Legacy will hit theaters on October 27th. It has also completed filming and is worth noting because the franchise is 13 years old at this point.

There’s still plenty going on right now to keep the love of these classic horror franchises and characters alive. None of these things above are rumored. They’re all things that are completing production or have already been made. With that in mind, plus all of the promising original horror on the horizon, it’s looking like a really solid year for the genre even without Friday the 13th or Halloween.

  • Blumhouse’s Halloween reboot will be directed by David Gordon Green from a script co-written by Green and Danny McBride. This news comes from announcements just made via Blumhouse and from John Carpenter himself via his Facebook page. Release date set for October 19 of next year.
Mon-El of Daxam - Hero’s Journey to Valor - Part 3

As I explained in my previous 2 posts, we know from the April Chris Wood interview in the Sci Fi Magazine that the producers wanted to give Mon-El a complete hero arch.

This is why he is following the 17 steps (divided in 3 phases) of the Hero’s Journey (Monomyth) as described by John Campbell through his character development to the superhero Valor. This is my third and final post on this journey.

Mon-El completed the first phase of the Hero’s Journey, INITIATION, in 2x09, when he said that he wanted to be a superhero. And finished the second phase, SEPARATION, in 2x22, when he selflessly accepted his metaphorical death for the greater good, achieving what he promised: that he would help Supergirl keep the world spinning. I pointed to specific scenes explaining how this happened in my previous 2 posts.

He will be completely in the third phase, RETURN, during Season 3. In this post I am going to write down my speculations, making guesses about how Mon-El could achieve the remaining steps of this journey. I support the theory that he will spend some time in the future with the Legion of Superheroes before returning to Kara’s time because it is quite similar to what happened in comics and Smallville, and because it fits perfectly with the remaining steps of the monomyth.

Bonus 1: I will also mention at the end of this post some mythic elements that are often present in the Hero’s Journey and can also be found in Supergirl season 2 in relation to Mon-El.

Bonus 2: I will also include some information about the Hero’s Journey is and other popular fiction stories have used it. The list includes a majority of the Flarrowverse good guys.

Keep on reading after the break.

I just watched the second season of sens8 and now I am completely crushed there won’t be a third season. I need to watch Lito and Capheus succeed. I wanna see Nomi and Amanita get married. I wanna see Sun get to finally live.

Oh well. Guess I’ll just pretend they all live happily ever after.

Carrie Fisher scores posthumous Emmy nomination

Tragic actress Carrie Fisher has landed a posthumous nomination for the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards.

The Star Wars icon is on the shortlist for the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category for her role in British sitcom Catastrophe, about a couple which attempts to make marriage work after the woman falls pregnant following a brief affair.

Carrie had just completed filming for the show’s third season in London in December (16) when she suffered a major heart attack while on a flight back to Los Angeles. She died on 27 December (16), aged 60.

She had portrayed co-creator and star Rob Delaney’s onscreen mother Mia Norris in the show since its launch in 2015.

Delaney’s TV wife and Catastrophe co-creator Sharon Horgan took to Twitter on Thursday (13Jul17) following the Emmys nominations announcement to share the news with fans, admitting the recognition was bittersweet.

“Very happy and sad and proud and messed up and delighted about our friend Carrie Fisher’s nomination,” she posted.

The Emmys nod is Carrie’s third. Her documentary Wishful Drinking was previously nominated for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special in 2011, while she was also named a contender for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock in 2008.

This time around, Carrie will face off with Wanda Sykes (Black-ish), Becky Ann Baker (Girls), Angela Bassett (Master of None), and Saturday Night Live stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy for the prize.

The Primetime Emmy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on 17 September (17).

Okay, I am two-and-a-half episodes into "The Sparticle Mystery" and:
  • A main cast entirely of children (all characters are 14 or younger)
  • One of the older kids and leaders of the group is a MOC
  • Interracial blended families (the boy from the previous bullet has a younger white step-sister that he cares for very much)
  • One boy has cerebral palsy
  • One girl has only one arm
  • One of the older kids and leaders of the group is a girl genius
  • The series was created by a woman
  • 17/23 of the aired episodes were written by women (including Debbie Moon!)

Wikipedia says the third season starts on January 5!

And the complete first season is available on U.S. Netflix!

How is nobody talking about this show??

This. Is. AWESOME.

Castlevania Review

*Light Spoilers*

I’ve never played any Castlevania games, so I was unfamiliar with the story an the characters, I enjoyed it for the most part. I had some story telling and pacing issues. The only character that we really focus on is Trevor Belmont a vampire/monster hunter from a family of hunters who have been exiled by the Roman church. At times his character feel inconsistent and his positive development is unexplained. I wish we got to learn more about the other characters like Sypha and Alucard.

Out of the four 22 minutes episodes the first and fourth episodes are the strongest. The last episode has one of the best fighting sequences I’ve seen in a long time and is the complete highlight of the entire first season. The second and third episode have pacing and odd story telling issues. It’s an animated and directional problem because there are some badly paced dialogue exchanges and action scenes. The gore doesn’t push any pull any punches, we see a demonic creature carrying a baby in it’s mouth, a cut torso of a child’s body, and strings of guts tied to various pikes. There is a lot of irreligious imagery like clergy members being torn apart and covered in blood.

The dialogue was fine but sometimes the cursing felt forced. All the voice acting was well done and I really like Richard Armitage’s despondent cadence for Trevor Belmont. The music was generic minimalist orchestral, and I was expecting it to be more along the lines of  Castlevania Symphony of the Night of which I have several tracks.

Overall I enjoyed it.  It was interesting and i am excited to see what happens next. I am so happy there is going to be a second season with double the amount of episodes but hope they can fix the issues with story telling and the pacing.

Penny Dreadful, season 3

I’ve just finished watching Penny Dreadful and I have to say I’m utterly disappointed. After the ingenious second season I expected the third one to be of the same quality only to discover it unfortunately wasn’t. The first part wasn’t bad; like in the second season, where in the middle it rose to the high and remained there until the end, I thought it will find its pace around the fifth episode, but the second part was truly a let-down, being even bad. But maybe let’s focus on some characters or story arcs, shall we?

The Gang. One of the things that I completely loved about the second season was how they were all together, one big family that was ready to give up their lives for each other in an instant, always there to support the other. That was beautiful and made the finale all the more heartbreaking, with the words “We walk alone” truly resonating with everything that happened. The third season was completely different in that matter, because they really did walk alone practically up to the finale. Vanessa made some new “friends”; Victor forgot about practically everything that wasn’t his walking and breathing obsession; Malcolm decided that saving Ethan was more important than coming back to Vanessa (not criticizing him for that, just stating the fact); and Ethan… well.

Ethan. His and Victor’s arcs were the most disappointing for me. Ethan’s journey through America to finally confront his father was interesting, but what happened with Hecate was not. Ethan fought with his guilt and who he was for all his life; he left the woman he loved behind to pay for his sins, loving her with all his heart but thinking he didn’t deserve her. And so we find him in the desert, giving himself to the witch that offered him the complete opposition to Vanessa, serving Lucifer included. I understand that momentarily, he might have been alluded by the promise of hellish redemption, erasing guilt and finding his use in the darkness, “momentarily” being the key word. Don’t tell me that the Hound of God wouldn’t just wake up the next morning and thought “Oh my God, what have I done”. But he didn’t. And here we see new Ethan who’s ready to give in to the darkness entirely, with his new lover who he somehow comes to care about after she viciously murdered two people he wished to spare. This new Ethan is ready to kill the whole world and serve the Devil. And this new Ethan lasts for how long? A day? Or two? Which doesn’t make any more sense than anything else here. Without Hecate around, Ethan immediately reverses to his old self. Like really? That’s your resolution, that’s how strong your decisions are? You lose the temptation, see the old friend who you suddenly open up to although you never did it before, and you remember that you are to serve God, not the Devil, and that woman you love might be needing you? What was the point of these reversions, I have no idea.

Vanessa. Speaking of reversions, here we have another one. Vanessa’s ultimate turn to the darkness made much more sense, but what came later did not. There we have a woman who has been abandoned by everyone she loved; and if it wasn’t for Mr. Lyle (whose every scene I deeply adore), she wouldn’t have even left the house. But she does and soon finds new love, new reason to live; for a moment she’s happy and that’s the state she never knew before. True happiness and a belief that people might be better than she thought. And then this illusion collapses when she realizes her beloved doctor is, in fact, Dracula. His speech when she confronts him seems true, and her giving up to him seems justified and even rational, if I can call it like that. She accepts herself, as she says it. She accepts being the Mother of Evil, which she in fact is. And that’s fine with me. She’s always been a strong woman, independent, determined. She didn’t lose the fight or give it up, she saw it was senseless. And let’s face it, Dracula wasn’t Lucifer and he treated her better than most of the people in her life did. Did he look evil to you? Because for me he did not. I love complicated, tragic villains, but this one was not like that. He was simple, way too simple for someone who should be sophisticated. He didn’t kill anyone by his own hand, while he should be cruel and kill the whole gang in an instant. Where is the evil? Where is the cruelty? With the prophecy that was all about Vanessa and not him?
What comes after Vanessa and Dracula’s reunion is another disappointing thing. I’ve seen plenty of Apocalypses and I wasn’t expecting to see such a cliche on such a good show. But I’ve got one and it was… weird. There is a plague in the air and people die in thousands, yet the rest of our characters or the people near the factory seem completely unaffected or unaware of this news. There is a fog and… there are rats. And bats. And when you want to fight with someone you can always find yourself a vampire. That’s the big Apocalypse? Seriously? Nope, I don’t buy it.
I also completely don’t buy Vanessa’s behavior and the ending in general. She agreed to be who she was, knowing the prophecy, knowing full well what will happen. I would love to see dark!Vanessa, but all in all we didn’t get her. We didn’t see her evil. And after a few days and seeing Ethan she’s all like “Kill me, that’s your destiny”. That’s not the Vanessa I knew. The Vanessa I knew remained faithful to what she believed in; if she chose darkness, she would remain in it and not behave like a victim. It was her own choice, her own decision coming out of disappointment, loneliness and tiredness, but her own nonetheless. And even if she came to regret it, Vannesa I knew wouldn’t mope, but would act to make everything right. She would fight. But here we have her giving up to the helplessness and Ethan who miraculously returned to God, and suddenly she needs to end her road by his hand, because that’s his destiny. Bullshit, I say. And Ethan, the obedient hound he is, without any further fight for her soul, just does what she says. Another bullshit. That’s not Vanessa, that’s not Ethan. I don’t know what this is.

Victor. Our dear doctor spends the whole season moping and obsessing over his lost love. He is suddenly so alone and doesn’t have anyone to talk to (for fuck’s sake, you remember the only woman that showed true kindness to you? who used to be your friend?) that he turns to his old friend, who he later treats more like an old enemy or a servant than a friend. He turns into deeply misogynistic, selfish and rude man, who really doesn’t need love, he needs an obedient slave (”a proper woman”??? Like really?). Later he joins Malcolm like they were never apart, like he was just waiting for the words “Vanessa’s in danger” to jump up in a fight again. And there he is, sitting in the living room with the two man that truly lost their loved woman, grieving with them. On what basis, I dare say? He forgot she even existed. His arc is what really hurts me - he used to be a broken, lost puppy who I just wanted to hug and comfort. And that puppy grew up into a monster he always considered himself to be.

Dorian & Lily. One of the two storylines I really didn’t mind, because it was true to the characters. Lily, who wanted to raise an army and start a revolution; and Dorian, who became bored with the idea as quickly as he did with everything else. There were also few really sad elements here - Lily’s story about her daughter, and the ending with Dorian saying he’ll always be there. Sad life this one has. Sad immortality, can there be something worse than that?

The Creature. And the second storyline. I liked how his and Vanessa’s lives were strangely intertwined, with the whole series ending with him kneeling next to her grave. She was his only friend and even though he didn’t remember their time in the Banning clinic, he always remembered she was the only one to show him kindness, to see the man in the monster. His story in this season is as sad, if not more, as ever.

Malcolm. Underused here, in my opinion. Did some shooting now and there, had some heart-warming talks with Ethan, and that was mostly all. Plus an interesting chemistry with Catriona, which would be nice to see if they got another season.

New characters. So Dr. Jekyll and Catriona, whose potentials were completely wasted. Where was Mr. Hyde? Who was Catriona, female version of Van Helsing? So much potential, yet so badly executed. The Apache, on the other hand, is a different issue. I don’t know how Ethan could fight next to someone who murdered his young sister and made him a wolf. I really don’t know how he could forgive him, but maybe it’s “everything for a mission” attitude.

In conclusion, the season lacked the clear motivations of characters’ behaviors, changed the personalities of a lot of them and had an anti-climatic resolution. In the end, I’m not so certain I would want to see the fourth season if they got the renewal.

anonymous asked:

In the fic that I'm writing, my oc's love interest is absent for the entirety of the third season of the show. So I'm completely lost on how I should do this. Any suggestions or tips?

it depends on where your oc comes in. is this the first book your making, or a continuation of others? if its another book in the series, think of what would happen to your oc when the love interest leaves. where would they go? would they go with them? i mean you might be able to make the story about the oc and not the ship, but maybe if theres just not enough storyline you can work with in season 3 skip to season 4. make a time skip.

but obviously if this is the first book you’re making there’s no point in starting in season 3 where the love interest isn’t there.

if season 3 just isn’t working out for your story, then it’s meant to be. focus on a different approach to your story.

Something Else” (one-shot/complete)

Summary: While spending the afternoon in each other’s company, Michonne and Rick reflect on their place at the prison and how far they’ve come.

*This author has only written one richonne fic to my knowledge and it’s this one obviously but they have also written many Dixonne fanfics if anyone is also interested in that pairing. Great writer.

All her fics will be linked, just click on her name, make yourself comfortable and enjoy all the Richonne goodness! You can begin with her 1st fic titled “ Let Go, Let Flow”, one of my favorites and it’s also completed. She also has some great once shots available and has some wip’s. For example: “Foolish Hearts” is seriously sexy and oh so sweet while “Unpredictable” will leave you with a really good cry in the best possible way.

Apologize” (complete)

Summary: Set at the end of 5.16. Rick comes home after a long night, ready to continue making amends with Michonne and ready for a little something more, but she is even more irate about his reckless behavior now that she knows about Father Gabriel’s betrayal. Michonne wonders if she can continue trusting Rick, which shakes him to the core.

Verbal Communication” (wip)

Summary: The slow pace of life in Alexandria gives Rick and Michonne a chance to step away from what they do best (communicate without saying a word) and open their mouths. It’s touch and go, starting with Rick’s fumbling attempt to ask Michonne to live with him and the kids and worsening when Michonne finally confirms Rick’s long-held suspicion that she had a child.

Guiding Light” (wip)

Summary: There had been nothing heartwarming about that conversation, about her apprehension and fear. But the memory of her voice brought him a degree of comfort just the same.

*Great author who writes Richonne perfectly. Read all her stuff and I believe she has at least two more Richonne stories so I will link her page to all her fics, just click her name. Also, not all but some of her stories involve mature content. And in one, there’s this thing that happens with a ring that I can’t even talk about. Take some deep breaths!

The Richonne Chronicles” (wip/collection of one-shots)

Summary: One-shots focusing on the lovely ship known as Richonne. This will have everything from fluff to angst and everything in between.

*Captures Rick and Michonne perfectly, indivdually and together. I love these stories and I can’t wait more more. I love them all but my favorite would have to be the ones titled “Richonne short” which is 4 parts and “Mellifluous”, something about those two just stayed with me for some reason, but they are all amazing and worth reading.

******Lyra Verse, Cakebythepound, Siancore and Shipnation are all on tumblr btw. If I forgot someone I apologize and please let me know.

Part 2 and maybe 3 coming soon!

1. Your fics are 👌🏻👌🏼👌🏽👌🏾👌🏿good smut 10/10 would recommend 2. Prompt: Olicity Netflix and chill

(Thank you so much! This is a Olicity College AU… because apparently writing anything substantive is off the menu for my muse these days…)

The mid-winter sun slanted through the curtains, sneaking through the open cracks, lighting up the dark room. His eyes were riveted on the screen, watching with rapt attention the third season finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Felicity dozed in his arms - she’d already seen it seven times. They’d just finished shoveling their way through the third season all weekend, nonstop, and completing Oliver’s not-so-subtle obsession with Buffy and Angel. She deserved a nap, darn it, because getting him to watch it all had been a trial in and of itself.

He was wrapped around her, his head propped on his hand so he could see over hers. Their feet were tangled together and the comforter was cocooning them perfectly. She was content to never move, not ever again, as long as she had her boyfriend, her bed and her Netflix. More specifically her now Buffy-obsessed boyfriend.

She made a mental note to remind him he owed her twenty bucks.

“I thought you knew where I landed when it comes to vampires. I’m not watching a show with the actual word ‘vampire’ in the title, Felicity.”

He jumped every few seconds, making a little noise, as the gang defeated Mayor Wilkins. She could watch it in her mind’s eye as it played out on her screen, and since he’d already chastised her about giving important things away when she turned to look at him while watching it…

“I like seeing people’s reactions, it makes it feel like I’m watching it all over again.”

“Well, knock it off, I know when something huge is coming up because you always swing around to look at me.”

… she’d resorted to keeping herself still in order to feel him reacting instead.

Oliver sighed, a soft, “Oh,” and she knew it was the scene where Buffy was seeing Angel for the last time. Felicity bit her lip to keep her smile at bay when his arm wrapped around her waist tightened a bit, holding her closer, his head dipping down so his lips were pressed to her hair.

Her boyfriend was a Buffy/Angel ‘shipper.

It was the cutest thing ever.

As the episode came to a close, Felicity shifted, pressing herself closer to him and Oliver took a deep breath. As he let it out, he melted against her and Felicity reciprocated, running her toe over the heel of his foot, smiling.

He was a quiet watcher, Oliver Queen. He had to process and think about what he’d just watched before he could indulge her in her rapid-fire thoughts, and her thoughts were especially fast when it came to Buffy. She’d learned that after the first few episodes, and it was usually in the middle of the next season that he got his thoughts in order and it came out in random questions over breakfast or in the middle of the night.

When she’d first met Oliver, her first thought had been: this guy is trouble because he’s got heartbreak written all over him. Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought: this guy is trouble because he enjoys the same OTP as her.

“I now know where you get ‘fire bad, tree pretty’,” he whispered.

Felicity giggled. “Buffy gets me.”

Neither of them moved as the credits rolled. Joss Whedon’s, ‘Grr, Argh,’ played before Netflix queued up the next episode… and they still didn’t move.

It was Sunday, and it was late on a Sunday afternoon at that, Felicity knew they should move at some point, because classes didn’t stop for Buffy, no matter how much she thought they should… but they didn’t move.

As season four started, Felicity turned in his arms. Oliver propped himself up again, his eyes on the screen and she pulled her leg up, hooking it over his hip, pressing a soft kiss to his pulse point.

“Chinese after this one?”

“Mmhmm,” he agreed absently, nodding.

Felicity grinned, craning her neck to give him a proper kiss. He barely returned it at first, already lost in Buffy’s first day as a freshman, but then a second later he smiled, and kissed her properly.

Best. Sunday. Ever.
