the coloring is not working so well on them

anonymous asked:

Your DL bats are so cute! Will you be doing the rest of the Sakamaki and Shin? Possibly the Mukami? Just curious cause I love your art. I wonder what Yui-chan would look like as a cute little bat… I'm giggling over the cuteness overload already! XD

Hi! I’m sorry I’m answering this question quite late, you’ve probably already seen your answer. <w>’ Thank you! I’m really happy you enjoy my work! It always means a lot to me to see this~
I’m actually currently working on Shinbat, but he’s taking a little more time than I had anticipated. xwx
I don’t think I’ll be touching Yui because I’m just not interested in drawing her as of right now. I’ve had a few questions about certain brothers like Reiji and Ruki, I’m delaying them due to not having the proper colors in my collection to give them proper colorings.(As well as the fact I dislike drawing them.) So they will have to wait. Everyone else should be showing up eventually. :3
Thank you for you sweet compliments and question! ^w^

How to Make Quick and Easy Tattoo Sleeves

Got a cosplay idea but the character has lots of arm (or leg) tattoos? Don’t feel like painting on yourself with body paints or hunting down that horrendously expensive temporary tattoo paper? Here’s a quick tutorial for making tattoo sleeves using nylons and sharpie markers!

Upsides:

- Supplies are cheap! You may even have many or all the supplies you need right at home.

- Quick and not very messy! No paint is involved, and sharpie marker dries instantly.

- Easy! Great artistic skill not required.

- They move with your skin! People have legit thought these were real tattoos. From a distance, yes, but I had guys at cons with actual ink on their arms come over to compliment on my full (fake) sleeves.

- You get to eat pringles! More on that later.

Downsides:

- They are delicate. Nylons get holes in them super easy and forearms run into stuff, lean against things, and generally make it hard for the sleeves to survive. But if you only need them for a weekend, that’s ok.

- I haven’t experimented too much, but unfortunately this technique probably doesn’t work for wearers with darker skin tones. Sharpie ink is transparent, so any color it rests on just multiplies and the tattoo won’t show up very well. You’ll want to go the fabric paint or body paint route to get the best bold, bright tats.

- Can’t do white sections, because sharpie ink is transparent and doesn’t come in white. I leave them blank and they read OK, but the white areas will always be pink, tan, brown, etc. unless you dab in a little fabric paint, which will not be covered in this tutorial.

- Sharpie is supposed to be permanent marker, but on skin…it’s not. The ink will most likely wear off onto adjacent clothes. Not that big of a deal for me, as I tend to wear my tats with white shirts that can be bleached, but other shirts may not survive as well.

OK, let’s go! Here are your supplies:

You’ll need a pair of nylons, scissors, tape, a set of sharpies, your designs printed out on 8.5 x 11 paper, some bracelets, and a can of Pringles. You can use any design you want, of course, but Here is the link to these fine Newt Kaiju tattoo designs.

If your nylons have an undies part, cut the legs off and wear the undies on your head for the rest of the tutorial, if desired. Put the legs on your arm like so, and cut the toes off so you can slip your hand through. You can cut some of the top of the sleeve off as well, but don’t cut too much because you can’t put it back on if your sleeves are too short.

Here are my creepy sleeves. Now for the pringles.

Tape your design template to the Pringles can. It doesn’t reach all the way around but eh. The Pringles can gives you a nice stable surface to draw on that is roughly the shape and size of an arm. It’s a little short, so just roll up the rest of the nylon above the workspace and adjust both template and nylon down when you get to working on that part of the sleeve.

Color with the markers! I recommend doing the colored areas first and then doing the black outlines on top of it, to avoid the black ink contaminating the ink pads of the lighter markers. Remember how that always happens to the yellow ones? Eww. Nylons are thin and slide around a bit, so it’s best to use short strokes and dotting to get the ink on.

Take the template off the Pringles tube, flip the paper to the blank side and put it back on again. The paper collects the extra ink, so it’s hard to see any missed spots. Now you can see any bits you may have missed. Fill them in for completion. Also, the paper doesn’t manage to wrap all the way around the Pringles can, so now is the time to free-hand a bit of the design where the template doesn’t reach. For Newt tattoos, that’s the back of the arm.

When you’re all done coloring, put them on!

There’s a rough end to the tattoo right at the wrist, of course. Disguise where the sleeve ends and your skin begins with some pretty bracelets:

There we are, much better!

Now…you’re done! Have some Pringles!

how to spot the signs

**check moon, venus, and rising sign too though bc y’know

aries // it’s probably fairly easy to spot that aries. they’re the one that screams aggressively when their pottery project crumbles in their hands. the one that always wants to try ziplining or bungee jumping or skydiving.

in private - aries in private are one of those signs that are very similar to the way they are in general or in public. they don’t feel the need to have to cover up their emotions or their thoughts. if you’re with an aries in private, you will probably notice that they’re more chill than you thought they were, though. and not as angry as they seem.

flirting - the ones that subtly flirt but still seem to get their message across. flirts a lot too, though. anytime they can get close to their crush, they’re flirting.

features - they probably have like one really striking feature. like the most beautiful hair you’ve ever seen or really great natural eyebrows.

taurus // a taurus may be a little harder to spot. they probably have a plant/nature aesthetic. they’re the ones who can be outgoing and shy at the same time. they’re quite calm and collected. thinks through their decisions before making them. suggests hiking and camping a lot.

in private - taurus in private are probably sweeter than they are in public, especially if you’re close to them. many of them may also be a little more emotional than you’d think. sometimes they’ll talk for hours, sometimes they’ll barely say a single word.

flirting - you probably won’t even notice a taurus flirting. they’re quite subtle about it, because it makes them feel awkward. this doesn’t mean they’re bad at flirting though, usually they’re able to become good friends with their crush, and things may go from there.

features - soft features that all fit together really nicely. soft, rounded nose. cute eyes. not too strongly defined eyebrows.

gemini // ah, the gemini. it’s probably one of the popular girls in your class, or the guy who’s the class clown. they’re fun, energetic, and definitely quite talkative. they have a lot of nice things to say about people.

in private - at first, gemini seems just like they are in public. talkative, got a lot of stories up their sleeve, smiles a bunch. but pay attention to their words. they’re different. in private, they’re more comfortable with sharing a lot of gossip. they’re probably also a lot smarter than you thought they were. may react differently to the same thing than if they were in public.

flirting - a gemini is a pretty solid flirter. they’re good at never making their crush bored. they rarely tell the same story twice, even if in reality it’s the same story with a few tweaks here and there.

features - a gemini is just cute, man. beautiful smile. bright and alert eyes.

cancer // a cancer may be a little bit hard to spot. they’re either super shy and reserved, or pretty talkative and outgoing, but not much of an in-between. probably the ones that get a little offended by a joke, and can take criticism pretty personally and to the heart.

in private - a cancer is one of those people you want to know privately. like someone you want to spend one-on-one time with. they’re cuddly, cute, sweet, ad comforting. if you’re close, you’ll probably be able to notice the transition from being awkward in public to smooth af in private.

flirting - a cancer may not be the best flirter of all time. but, they may get their way. they probably clam up and sweat when being close to their crush. but hey, they’re cute and lovable so maybe it won’t be hard for their crush to notice them.

features - a cancer has soft features. they look really kind. the type of person that if you’re in a crowd and you have to ask someone for the time, you’d ask them because they seem like they won’t be too bothered by you and will be nice about it.

leo // not hard to spot a leo. usually loud and confident, but not usually in the cocky way. they’re always with a group of people, and probably the one that’s talking. super fun and adventurous. the kind of person to bring ten bags of marshmallows to the campfire.

in private - a leo in private may surprise you from the way they seem in public. probably one of the most different from in private to in public compared to all the other signs. they have insecurities hidden. they’re not always super happy. may get stressed out a lot. needs to know you’ll always be there for them.

flirting - leo is one of the best flirters hands down. their crush probably is already attracted to them anyways. good storytellers, pretty hilarious. can make their crush feel like them flirting is almost addictive. they’re also obvious with their flirting.

features - a leo is beautiful. could rock the catwalk or the red carpet. they may enjoy wearing a lot of makeup (not necessarily to ‘cover up’ but more so bc they just like to) but are just as glamorous without.

virgo // a virgo looks at the small details rather than the big picture. probably the perfectionist in the class, who has perfect handwriting and good grades. the one that makes good, smart decisions. knows what’s going on in the world.

in private - a virgo is more willing to try new things and will say things that surprise you when you first have one-on-one time with a virgo. even though they’re fairly entertainig themselves, they’ll always beg you to entertain them or tell them some good jokes.

flirting - a virgo is also a pretty subtle flirter, and seems like just a friend, which is okay because they may say some creepy things that would be super embarrassing if their crush knew they were flirting with them. you know like or “i love the neighborhood you live in”. don’t like leading people on.

features - a virgo likes to focus on their appearance. good fashion sense, perfect makeup, astounding hair.

libra // a libra is probably the one you automatically feel like is kind of “fake” as a first impression. they’re probably not “fake”, they just try too hard to cover up their real emotions and show different ones instead so they don’t seem detached. pretty intelligent and a good talker.

in private - a libra is another sign you want to know personally. you just always want to know what they have to say and their opinion on things. they can be either mature or childish depending on their mood. very peaceful. doesn’t like fighting with the ones they love.

flirting - a libra is pretty good at flirting. they can be the touchy type, so they’re probably not as subtle. they have such a natural charm to them and are so intriguing. easy to get along with.

features - a libra probably has gorgeous eyes. you can tell they’re thinking about something important all the time. probably very light (not in color, in terms of feeling ig).

scorpio // a scorpio is intense. they’re highly opinionated and good at arguing, and have clear emotions. they can be either loud or quiet. everyone is probably either aesthetically attracted to a scorpio, or attracted to their personality. they’re just cool.

in private - a scorpio in private is intense. they want to know a lot about you. they also want you to know a lot about them. they’re very real and honest people. don’t say “no offense but…” to them. straightforward (but not rude) people work well with them.

flirting - a scorpio is definitely a touchy flirty, but they’re so good at flirting they can control whether their touching seems more friendly or more physical. it’s their presence that intrigues their crush more than their words. like a scorpio doesn’t have to say anything and their crush probably won’t even be bored.

features - a scorpio is sexy, fierce, and mysteriously beautiful. they’ve got that perfect smirk, pout, smile, etc. down.

sagittarius //  a sagittarius could be a little hard to spot. they can be fairly stubborn, though many other signs can be too. they also usually feel like they’re right, and pretend to listen to your side. pretty outgoing, a little weird but in a way that makes you crave it.

in private - when it comes to humor- sags are underrated. they’re pretty damn funny. they’re also very opinionated. if you mean something to them though, they’ll protect you well and put your before themselves.

flirting - a sag is neither good nor bad at flirting. sometimes they try, sometimes they don’t. they believe that if it’s meant to happen, it’ll happen. with this in mind, they probably don’t flirt too much with strangers.

features - bold features all around. irresistible smile and eyes. strong nose.

capricorn // a capricorn always gets their work done- even if some of them procrastinate until the last minute. they’re only talkative around the people they’re comfortable with. is into more old-fashioned things. very nice, but stubborn and opinionated.

in private - sarcastic, witty, and enjoyable. they’re the kinds of people you take for granted but once they’re gone (they don’t like giving more than second chances), you’ll realize how much you miss and need them. good at giving direction, but not at giving advice. very realistic and often pessimistic. good friends. loyal friends.

flirting - they don’t even flirt. they probably flirt with their eyes and admire from afar. depending on their crush (the kind of person they are) the aura they have may be really intriguing and attractive, or they may not even be noticed.

features - gorgeous hair. they’re so pretty but so underrated.

aquarius // idealistic. talks about the future and ignores the past. probably one of the smartest people you’ll talk to- not just academically but socially as well. may be a little weird but people love it. people just know them, they’re well known. they also know that they’re funny, but they don’t like taking the role of class clown. know that when receiving a compliment from them, it’s genuine and will make your day.

in private - an aquarius in private is someone you almost feel like you need to know personally. if they let you in, consider yourself lucky- but don’t think you’ve broken down their walls. they’ve got secrets. they’re so interesting that you never get bored, even if you’re talking about yourself, the way they look at you is heart-warming. can be both dreamy and realistic.

flirting - an aquarius may or may not be a good flirter. they tend to get better with practice. however, other people may not notice them flirting. they treat their crush like a friend and signals may be a bit messed up.

features - aquarians may have wonderful features that you miss if you don’t pay attention close enough. sweet smile and knowing eyes.

pisces // a pisces is that daydreamer. the one who speaks with “if” instead of “when”. very calm and sweet. a good person to befriend if you want someone loyal and adorable.

in private - a pisces in private is pretty much the same as when they’re in public. they love to listen to you and offer emotional support rather than giving advice. they tend to be pretty gullible. very loving and easy to love back.

flirting - a pisces is a touchy flirter, but an awkward touchy flirter. they’ll go to touch your shoulder but quickly retract as soon as their fingertips brush. it may be obvious when they’re flirting. they tend to ramble and maybe even stutter.

features - a pisces is just a big ol’ ball of cuteness. no specifics. just awesome.

I hope you don't mind me asking, you do your shadows so well and was wondering how you do them?! They set such an incredible dark mood, it makes your artwork instantly recognizable!! Thanks for your time <3

Im pretty shit at explaining things so i’ll use this for basic example. Firstly if you know how shadows work and stuff then it shouldnt be to hard. Otherwise go study that shit.

So you got your flat colors down for the first step

Next lay down a dark tone set to multiply, idk about 70% i guess? up to you

Start adding some shadows set on another multiply, shadows can be however dark. 50-70%

The add your light source, i used color dodge in this one. Dont use super bright color or it will look like blinding light. (again if you know light/shadows shouldnt be to hard)

I add a touch more dark in the shadows for effect…or something like that.

And there you have it, this maybe helpful lesson was brought to you by a potato, chur.

2017: Week 12 | Mar. 19 - Mar. 25

“Those who don’t know how to make love make war.” -The Patience Stone

I’ve been experiencing spontaneous surges of color lately - they come over me in dreams, meditation, or during the transient moments I rest my eyes. In fact, many of my dreams have been purely colorful rather than conceptual; it’s been interesting. Anyway, I tend to feel stuck on these “color visions” until I paint with them, which has inspired me to work with some pretty funky color schemes that I wouldn’t normally feel inclined to use. This one was more or less premeditated, but evolved intuitively. I knew I wanted to include a tribute to Aries season, but I wasn’t feeling the fiery shades typically associated with the fire signs, and so I ended up with this rich burgundy color. Then, somehow, the golden rod transpired; it seemed like a strange addition, but I couldn’t resist including it. These definitely aren’t colors I would think to pair, but it all came together pretty well in my opinion.

Fishing: digital painting walkthrough

So I got a question on anon asking me about my drawing coloring process, and unfortunately I accidentally deleted it, because I have clumsy fingers on mobile.

Thank you so much for your interest, I’m really honored! I will try and give a brief overview of my drawing process, and hope this is helpful or useful to you! I just started experimenting with Photoshop last summer around July, so I’m definitely not the most experienced, I’m still learning a lot!

I’m going to be using this drawing of Lapis, because it’s one of my favorite pieces and it is more detailed than my average drawing:

This drawing was inspired by the episode “Alone At Sea”, where I wanted to illustrate this concept:

This was my main reference, but I also throughout, used a lot of google images of water and colorful fish.

Sketch: My canvas size was 3000 px wide and 2000 px high. I tend to sketch with the standard brushes and I actually have like 2 layers of sketches (one for basic shapes/sizes of things, then one for rough details and things).

Lineart + base coloring: I add lineart, usually px size 6-8, with the pencil brush. I then add base colors, using the default solid brush. Usually they are the generic color I’m going for. I try not to get too stressed about the base colors because I usually cover most of them up.

Primary highlights/light sources: It gets more interesting once you establish primary light sources, so where the main light source is coming from, as well as reflections of things. I use a larger brush and add these on new layers, set to either overlay or screen or pin light. So I wanted light to be shining through the water, making the color reflect on Lapis, which is how it works with real light.

Detail/color: I think this is the most fun part, where you choose colors to paint over. I think I painted this the way I normally use watercolor, which is combining a lot of complimentary and contrasting colors with varying amounts of saturation. It’s more complicated to explain that, but it’s a lot of eyeballing. For example, referring to the reddish colors, I tried spreading them around the drawing instead of having them just in one place. The reddish fish reflects around the water bubble, and the light is reflected on Lapis’s clothing as well.

Highlights: This makes your drawing really stand out - often at this stage, many layers are on ‘luminosity’, ‘screen’ or ‘overlay’. I also do this with the lineart layer as well, so there are not just harsh black lines, which can be distracting. There are also secondary light sources, such as at the back of Lapis’s head, because I felt like there was still not enough red-orange in the drawing.

Small white lines also make a big difference (such as those on the bubble, and on the edges of her jacket/in her hair).

I later went and adjusted the color balance a bit, as well as increased the contrast so some more areas would appear darker and it was a bit less green in color.

That is kind of the overview! I hope this was helpful at all, or at least interesting! If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer, I enjoy rambling. Sorry if this was a bit long!

Thank you so much for taking an interest!

Frugal Witchy Tips #1

1 - Crystal Hack: You really don’t need special crystals to work your magick. Places like Walmart and most dollar stores have cute polished rocks that can work just as well when charged with intent. You can also just go find them out in the wilderness if you’re the outdoorsy type! Just pay attention to colors, shapes, and if you find them yourself look at where you found them for their associations! If that isn’t doing it for you, grab some acrylic paint and paint runes, little pictures, even just write words on them to strengthen their meaning to you. Be sure to seal them with Mod Podge or even clear nail polish so the paint doesn’t chip off!

2 - Dirt: It’s dirt cheap! Hahaha Joking aside, if you don’t mind the bit of extra work many practitioners use different kinds of dirt for different spells, and if you put some thought into it you can find good associations for most spells. I’ll list a few below;
Graveyard Dirt -
Spirit work and hexing (Be sure to ask permission from the spirits first!)
Crossroads Dirt - Life changes and hexing
Dirt from a Police Station or Courthouse - Magick relating to laws, justice and correcting wrongdoing. (You may want to avoid this one if you don’t want to draw the attention of the law to yourself.)
Dirt from Your Own Home: Protection of the home, family and hearth spells
Dirt from a Place You Want to Live: To help you find a good new home
The list goes on and on, an entire post could be made just listing the kinds of dirt that can be used in different spells, (Maybe a post for the future?) but just give it some thought and you can find an association to dirt for just about any spell.

3 - Candle Hack: Most practitioners know you can substitute white candles for just about any other color, but did you know it’s super easy to make your own candles? If you’re in the position to be able to order a few affordable things from Amazon or Etsy (or if you can make a trip to a local craft store) and have access to a heat source you can make any kind of candles you want! I often buy cheap white candles from the Dollar Tree just to beef up my collection of colorless wax and I always save the wax from old candles or wax melts that have lost their scent so I can add it to new candles! Just get yourself some basic wicks (or google how to make your own) and either buy some heat safe glass jars or a candle mold and there you go! You can also add herbs that you associate with the kind of spell you want to do to give your candle a bit of extra umph!

4 - Herbs: You do not need fancy organic herbs from a foreign land to work magick, the herbs you find at your local grocery store will work just fine! Don’t get me wrong, fancy herbs can be fun but they aren’t really necessary. For any specialty herb you read about I guarantee with a google search you can find a mundane culinary herb you can use instead.

5 - Sigils: I love sigils because you can make them anywhere anytime and do anything with them, all you need is a pencil and a piece of paper. Do a quick search for “how to make sigils” and you will find a whole slew of different methods, pick one out that works well for you and start getting creative! In a pinch you can turn any spell into a sigil, just charge it up and go!

D&D inspired eyeshadow palettes

I really like the leather + gold + touches of color idea of this line, so I continued it in these eyeshadows. Colors are picked and named from spells that each class has available to them. They were selected due to name length (or how well they work as cosmetic names), if they were exclusive to the class, or if the spell fit that palette more than another. A lot of classes share spells, after all. If your fave spell isn’t on here, sorry, I really tried the best I could! There’s a LOT to potentially pick from.
These include palettes for Wizard, Warlock, Bard, Paladin, Cleric, and Druid. I may do the rest at a later point!

Colors for these palettes were selected based on the perfumes that started everything.

(This isn’t a real product, just an art project for fun.)

Learning Graphic Design On Your Own

A Quick Note…

Everyone learns differently. Some people like to ask questions in class, others like to watch videos that they can pause and replay, and even more people could prefer to just tinker and see what happens (I’m personally a tinkerer). The first thing you should do when learning on your own (so probably online or through books) is to do some research and know how you like to learn.

So, let’s start with… what even is “Graphic Design”?

Let’s get this straight… graphic designers aren’t fine artists. They are problem solvers, visual communicators, and sometimes curators of information in an aesthetically pleasing way. We organize information and try to make the world an easier-to-understand and more beautiful place. Of course, there are other fields like advertising where we communicate to customers why they should buy certain products. Or there are User Interface/Experience designers that will develop websites and video game interfaces and design how you interact with it. Look into graphic design and see what field you want to be in. What do you want to do with graphic design?

Fun fact, the google definition says: “the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books.” and to that, I’d like to say we do SO MUCH MORE.

Now that you know what you’re doing…Here’s the VERY BRIEF process!
(I may make individual posts for each step later on)

  1. Learn the basics
    1. Typography, how to use the basic principles of line, shape, color, and so on is usually for everyone no matter your field.
    2. Basics like composition are also very important. If you’re into editorial then typographic spreads will be more of your focus. If you’re in web design then seeing how websites are typically laid out will be a thing to look into. Basic typography, color theory, and principles still apply!
    3. Basics and principles are a google search (or a book) away! Everyone talks about these things ALL the time.
  2. Look up inspiration and develop an “eye” for design
    1. Follow design blogs! Follow other designers! On all of your social media! (There are so many Tumblr blogs and Instagram accounts solely dedicated to graphic design curation).
  3. Look into the big names of the industry
    1. Why were they remembered? Everyone else in the field probably remembers them for that, too.
    2. What was so great about them? Apply what you learn to your own work!
    3. If they’re well known, they probably have at least decent work to get inspired from!
  4. Research is done… time to do some work!
    1. If you’re just starting out, there are some things you’re probably not used to. Doing things by hand with sharpie markers on paper will definitely help train your eye and mind to think more about communication, not pretty things.
    2. Abstract things down into simple shapes. Then try communicating that same object with fewer shapes. Maybe only lines? Geometric style? Play around with communication! This is key when you get into icons, logos, and other visuals that require a more minimal look.
    3. Remember, you make information more easily accessible. The best logos are easy to remember because they are simple and effective. Your work may one day need that kind of punch!
  5. The jump from traditional to digital
    1. It’s time to learn about your program(s) of choice… my biggest piece of advice would be to just mess with it. Learning on your own by trying to make something is one of the best ways to train your mind and body on how to use the programs.
    2. Try every tool. Try making basic shapes. Then make basic objects with those shapes. Then try making a person or something more complicated. Try to test every tool to see what you’d use it for!
    3. Don’t know anything or how to do something? Google it! If you’re asking there’s probably 5+ different YouTube videos, 3+ articles, and 100+ tutorials on how to do it.
  6. Let’s work on projects!
    1. Now that you’re familiar with the history, principles, other designers, and the programs… just keep on making stuff!
    2. Making your own projects (make your own website, business cards, a flyer for a club, a T-Shirt, and so on…) is my biggest recommendation on how to learn graphic design. Actually applying everything you’ve learned will make you think in a problem-solving way! Also sharing things that you’ve made that actually matter is way more fun than sharing a fancy circle you made with no context. (You can say “look at this T-Shirt I made!” instead of “look at this weird circle I made!”)
  7. Get feedback from designers and non-designers
    1. Once you’ve made stuff… ask everyone! Non-designers will give you a client’s perspective of your work. A designer’s perspective will help you grow as a designer and they may see things that you and your average person wouldn’t have noticed. (you’re always free to ask me if you’d like!)
    2. Please remember to not take feedback personally (unless they’re being rude, then just ignore them). You’re learning and growing and there’s always room for improvement. A lot of feedback is not a bad thing!
  8. Stay determined!
    1. Being a designer isn’t easy. That T-Shirt you made that took you a couple days? Someone could say they don’t get it. Other designers could say there was a better way to execute your idea. Another person may even say it looks like something else!
    2. When you design you have to expect to make revisions, rethinking, and making more revisions until it’s at a good enough place to publish. But no matter what, you have to remember that it’s not about PERFECTION. It’s about getting it DONE and learning to grow. No one is perfect, and it’s mostly subjective, so just take the criticism you agree with and don’t apply what you disagree with. As a designer, you should know what’s right, wrong, or what you should consider bringing up to other designers.
    3. KEEP MAKING MORE STUFF! You can even remake older stuff as you go on! Just keep going!

That’s my super brief process!

Now honestly, I could’ve gotten down into the nitty gritty details of each step, but this is basically how I’d suggest going about it if you want to get a head start before getting into college, or you want to just learn on your own.

If you guys have any additional questions or want me to go more in-depth about anything, feel free to let me know! :)

Bunni Hair

This hair is another one of those things where I had a love hate relationship with EA’s double braids. So, I decided to completely revamp them, and add some bangs. Comes in @wildlyminiaturesandwich colors and EA colors. I fully intended on adding bows to these, but that did not work out as well as planned. I might try to work on them again and upload them as an add-on.

thatkevinsmith: Aw, Kraptonite! It’s all over! Finished my second episode of @supergirlcw at 11:30 last night with these cosplaying characters. Thank you @davidharewood, @melissabenoist & @chy_leigh - the heart, soul and spine of this wonderful weekly hour on @thecw - as well as the rest of the cast and the entire #vancouver crew! If you can’t tell, I love “directing” the @dccomics shows in the #berlantiverse. Doing so has made me a stronger film-maker while allowing me to play with someone else’s toys and IP. But it also provides nice cover for me in my day job so I can make masturbatory movies like @tuskthemovie & @yogahosers. Some indie filmmakers in the 90’s used to work under a “One for me, One for them” philosophy - the idea being you work with a studio on something they own then jump back into the freedom of no-budget filmmaking afterwards (Soderbergh popularized this approach). Directing #supergirl and @cwtheflash is kinda like a modern-day version of that for me on one level: the three well-received eps I handled that people have seen thus far clearly indicate I know how to direct and can color within the lines when it’s necessary. But my bat-shit crazy Canadian flicks (the #truenorthtrilogy) allow me to color my flicks any way I want, all artsy or stupid - which has resulted in a few baffled or hostile reactions and calls for my DGA card to be confiscated. So in a way, #supergirl has actually saved my fat ass IRL: working with this show lets me be considered “good” at directing for others while I’m so busy trying to be “bad” at directing my own material (though I like to think the flicks are more experimental than “bad”). Just another reason I love shooting shit with the folks in the photo above: by helping them be fake people, they help me be the real me. Never be scared to make what YOU want to see, Kids - but if you’re gonna get goofy with your personal work, it’s a good idea to simultaneously show folks you’re not really an idiot - you’re just trying out new stuff. Fortune favors the bold! #KevinSmith #supergirlseason2 #melissabenoist #davidharewood #chylerleigh

do you ever think a lot about how shiro and allura have adopted four kids and two of them are keith and lance

  • allura had a big part in them getting together, because both of these boys would come to her for advice and confess to her and she would use this info for Evil
    • lance: “what do you think keith would like for a present? just something small not too obvious you know? like a chill present. like a bro present.”
    • allura: “a little bird may have told me keith has a passing interest in agmalias” (flowers)
      • keith, twenty minutes earlier: “holy shit allura these flowers are the same color as lance’s eyes i’m losing my mind?? look at them??? I love this boy oh wow.”
  • shiro loves the two boys to death but good lord they need to work on their pda
    • he’ll round a corner in the castle and there’s keith and lance, making out on the floor.
    • shiro: “guys, really? out here?”
    • lance tears himself away, smiling like an evil little imp. “well we already ruined your bed so…”
    • shiro just wants sleep. Help him.
  • keith and lance’ll get into competitions and get intense super quick and usually end up breaking something.
    • shiro: “allura, your kids punctured the thermal oscillator again.”
    • allura: “how come when they wreck something they’re “my kids” but when lance makes a fancy shot he’s “your son””
    • shiro’s already running away  “I don’t make the rules sorry love you bye”
      • allura also just assumes that shiro’s talking about keith and lance
  • whenever the boys want to take a pod to go on a date (lions are too conspicuous) they always ask allura first
    • lance and keith pass by shiro’s door, giggling and arm in arm, and shiro’s Shenanigans radar pings
    • shiro: “boys? where are you going this late?”
    • lance: “allura said we could take a pod. keith’s taking me to a meteor shower. we’re probably gonna make out and it’s gonna be super hot.”
    • keith: “lance”
    • shiro is just. Tired. “did anyone think to ask me? we have training. what if I say it isn’t okay?”
    • keith and lance stare at him blankly, not computing: “no it’s fine if you don’t want us to go, allura said it was okay.”

RFA+V+Saeran meet MC before the party while she is a coffee barista? Maybe she recognizes them and leaves them a little note or something :3 ~ I love your headcanons btw. Also your english is totally fine. Have a nice day ;)

Oh, thank you! Okay, maybe this is silly, but this request made me feel really touched. And I’ll explain why, I remember when I joined tumblr and started reading mm headcanons, I saw a request just like this and it was soooooo good, so freaking cute! I decided I could try to write hcs too and started this humble blog. I never found that headcanon or that blog again, tho :(

So it was so hard to do this, because I kept thinking about that hc, how good it was, and how mine could never get that good. (never compare your writing, children, it’s an endless road of insecurity and self sabotage) But I think in the end these are cute? Hope you like it!

RFA + Saeran and V meeting a barista MC

Zen

  • He thought about getting some coffee before a morning rehearsal
  • And there’s this coffee shop on his way to work. Perfect!
  • He walks in and you immediately look at him. No… Zen? H-here? Did he find you? No, he couldn’t, your profile pic is not that good and…
  • “Uhm… excuse me? Lady?” he tries to get your attention, you’re taken aback. He chuckles, yes, this is a normal reaction for women when they see him.
  • Then you proceed to take his order and you keep glancing at him. Well, he’s used to it, but this barista is really cute…
  • “I really liked ‘Promiscuous Jalapeno’” you say and smile cheerfully. “Oh… so you’re a fan? Thank you!”
  • “Yes! Can I get an autograph, please?” oh, usually his fans ask for pictures with him… You’re really different, ain’t you?
  • “What’s your name?” “Hum… you don’t need to put my name, just write… ‘With love, Zen.’” He blushes a little, what’s with him? He does this all the time.
  • “Here you go, sweetie.” He hands you the napkin he wrote the autograph and you hand him his order. “I can’t wait for your next musical!” you say as he gets out of the shop, he turns and smiles.
  • He’s smiling to himself, what an interesting girl… no, forget about her, what about MC?
  • Then he sees the little note on it: “I couldn’t ask for a photo now, I would rather do at the party when we’re alone. With love, MC.”
  • He wants to go back, but he’s pretty late for work. Oh well… guess he will have to drop by again tomorrow, and the next day too, and the next…

Yoosung

  • He was on his way to college and needed some caffeine after putting an all nighter playing LOLOL.
  • You see those violet eyes and immediately smile. Oh my god… what are the chances? Hum, this should be fun…
  • You get his order and keep smiling the whole time. Okay, he knows the people who work here are usually nice, but you are on a whole another level.
  • Or maybe there is something in his face? Oh no… so embarrassing! He looks like a fool in front of such a cute girl…
  • “I couldn’t help but notice, is this a LOLOL bottom in your hoodie?” “Wh-what? Oh… yes! Yes, it is!” Oh, there’s nothing wrong with his face, thank god.
  • “Do you… do you like LOLOL?” “Oh yeah, I’m ranked #12 in the shooting star server.” “WHOA, SERIOUSLY? I… play there too.” “Cool, are you having problems with that Superman Yoosung too? I gotta say, that guy is good!” OH. MY. GOD!
  • “Yeah…” he just chuckles, he doesn’t know what to say, he wants to yell “It’s me! It’s me!” but he’s too embarrassed.
  • You also want to yell “It’s me!” but it would ruin the fun, so you just hand his order and tell him “Good luck with LOLOL!” he’s so flustered he just waves to you as he walks away.
  • Wow, you’re amazing! And so cute… wait! He shouldn’t be thinking like this, he’s already talking to MC in the chat room… oh, but she’s probably into Zen anyway…
  • He’s on the bus stop when he sees the note: “LOLOL is fun, but I hope this helps you focus on your studies. Go get’em, Superman Yoosung! ~MC”
  • He immediately pops in the chat room: “Oh my god, MC! Why didn’t you say anything?” “Meh, it wouldn’t be that fun, right? I like your hoodie, by the way.” You bet he needs that coffee to focus after that…

Jaehee

  • She drops by this cute coffee shop on her way to C & R. Well, this wouldn’t take long and… tbh, she’s not that worried with C & R as she used to be…
  • She admires the decoration in the place, and finds this smiley barista staring at her.
  • You want to greet her and tell her who you are, but nah… her face when she recognizes you in the RFA party will be really cute to watch.
  • “Did you like the decoration, miss?” “Yes, everything here is so cozy! Your boss have a good taste!”
  • “She does, it’s a shame she’s selling this place…” “Oh, she is?” you can only imagine all the thoughts she’s having right now, considering your last conversations in the chat room and can’t hold back a chuckle, which she thinks a little… odd.
  • She watches with attention as you prepare her coffee, you notice and explain to her the grounds you used, the techniques, she’s extremely interested.
  • “Here you go, miss.” “Thank you! Oh… I should get something to Mr. Han too…” Yes… she almost forgot about Jumin…
  • You hand hers and Jumin’s coffee. “Have a good day at work, miss!” you smile,oh… what a weird familiar sensation.
  • Yes, there’s something about you that’s really familiar… almost like… MC? No… it can’t be, you would have say something if it was you, right?
  • “Assistant Kang, why does my coffee says ‘go easy on Jaehee, okay?’?” she looks puzzled, than she notices hers has a little note too: “I bet your coffee tastes better, but enjoy this! I’m always rooting for you! ~MC”
  • She smiles for the rest of the day, so many thoughts running in her mind… especially that little fact you shared about the coffee shop being up for sale…

Jumin

  • He’s there to prove a point, okay? Zen teased him about always making Jaehee doing the simplest tasks for him, he probably couldn’t even get a coffee by himself!
  • Well, challenge accepted! But as he steps into the coffee shop, he regrets it. How… how does this even work? Do they come to you or…?
  • You can’t believe what your eyes are seeing. Is that man over there Jumin Han? Well, judging from his fancy clothes and completely lost, yet very stoic expression, it can only be him!
  • “Sir?” you go to him, “can I help you?”  “Yes, I would like to…” “Oh, follow me to the balcony, please.” Hum, so that’s how it works, he has to go to you… still, how considerate of you to go to him…
  • “What do you recommend?” you tell him and he asks for that, you smile and he feels… really amused.
  • When you hand him his order, you notice he’s uncomfortable, as if he wants to say something. “Can I get you anything else, sir?”
  • “Yes, I… I need to take a picture, but my photos keep getting blurred, can you take it for me?” Jesus Christ, you want to hug this man! Control yourself, MC!
  • “Of course” he hands you his phone and you take a picture of him holding his order, hoping he doesn’t notice your little note.
  • And he doesn’t, as he thanks you and walks away leaving a veeery generous tip to you, you’re not sure if he’s paying that much because of your extra service or because he has no idea how much he should pay.
  • He notices the note when he’s in his car: “I hope you’ll let me take a lot more pictures of you, maybe of us? ~MC” he chuckles and suddenly feels really hot.
  • “Driver Kim, make sure to stop by this shop every morning from now on.”

Saeyoung

  • He knows where you work, and he really wanted to see you. He was worried after the hacker attacked the chat room.
  • He doesn’t share selfies of him in the chat room, so he should be fine.
  • As soon as he walks in, his phone rings. Shit, it’s Vanderwood! Did them already notice he went out of his house?
  • You listen to this voice and turn your head to see this cute red haired guy with colorful glasses. Oh my… could It be…? Yes, that’s definitely his voice!
  • “Hi! Do you have Dr. Pepper here?” yep, it’s definitely him, and he’s definitely teasing you. Oh well, let the games begin!
  • “We do not, sorry. But we have this new latte with honey. Do you like honey?” As in Honey Budha Chips? Sure… wait!
  • He’s staring at you. Do you…? No, how could you know? He’s pretty sure he never sent any photo of him in the chat room.
  • He’s feeling a little embarrassed at the way you look at him, oh shit! This was a bad idea, wasn’t it? Yeah, he shouldn’t feel like this when you look at him.
  • “Can I get a name for the order?” “Uhm… Tom.” “What a cool friendly name!” you tell him and smile innocently. “Here you go, Tom!” Oh… maybe you don’t know it’s him after all.
  • Well, that was close… and he thought he would feel better and able to focus if he saw you like that? Well, bad bad mistake, 707…
  • At least you didn’t know it was him, and… wait… “I know you’re worried, but I’m fine, as you saw for yourself. Now go back to defend justice, God Seven! ~606”
  • He should feel worried that you actually recognized him, but right now… all he can do is smile.

Saeran

  • He knows where you work, he just wanted to make sure his target is behaving and not doing anything stupid that could ruin his plans
  • Oh, and they serve sorbet here, cool!
  • You spot this weird guy with this grumpy expression… where do you know him from? Think, MC, think!
  • Ugh… it’s so frustrating seeing such a familiar face and not being able to tell why.
  • “Cool tattoo.” You tell him as you make his order. He just nods. That tattoo… you saw it before!
  • He notices you keep staring curiously at him. What could you possibly be thinking?
  • Oh, the tattoo! This eye… yes! It was in that weird email Jaehee was talking about in the chat room. Mint Eye or… something like this…
  • Shit! He knew sending that picture when he was trying to convince you he was not a creepy was a bad idea. But he thought he was so well disguised… or maybe he underestimated you…
  • Call it intuition, 6th sense, whatever… you just knew! This guy was Unknown!
  • You weren’t afraid, he wouldn’t do anything with all these people around, and he should know you aren’t scared of him.
  • So you calmly hand his order and tell him to have a nice day. Okay… that was just a weird vibe, you probably didn’t suspect a thing.
  • Then he saw the note as he got into his car. “Why did you never text me back? Are you afraid? You should be… ~MC”
  • He couldn’t tell what he was feeling. It should be anger, but for some reason, he wasn’t angry, he was amused… You were very cute thinking you could threat him like that.
  • He grins, yes, he is definitely making you pay for defying him like this when he takes you to paradise.

V

  • He stopped by this cozy coffee shop before going to the airport.
  • Seven told him where you worked, but he genuinely didn’t remember. Yes, so much was going on, and he was so worried for you staying in that apartment, your job was just a detail he completely forgot.
  • Of course you noticed this really handsome customer with blue hair. How could you not notice?
  • But he looked familiar… this blue hair… so unique and beautiful… where have you seen it before?
  • V? Well, you couldn’t see much from his profile pic, but yes… it looked like this guy standing in front of you, waiting for you to take his order…
  • He smiles softly as you apologize for spacing out. He even asks if you’re feeling well… yes, it’s him! You’re pretty sure!
  • “Cool camera! Is that a Nikon D5300?” you’ve been studying to exchange emails with his friend Rui, you really want him at the party since he’s V’s friend. “Yes, it is! Do you like photography?”
  • “ I do!” “Well, I just take pictures as a hobby.” Modest son of a bitch… “If you’re interested, you should check Rui’s work, he’s really good.”
  • “I hear that V guy is pretty good too. Have you heard about him?” Wow, you were cute… he couldn’t hold back his arousal from you saying you liked his work.
  • “I’m pretty sure he would like to take pictures of you, you would be a perfect model!” you blush, oh shit! You thought you were in the control here? Bless your soul…
  • You hand his order and watch him walk away, almost regretting for your silly note.
  • That he only sees when he’s about to catch the plane: “You shouldn’t be so modest, I bet you can make even me look good in a photo. ~MC”
  • He laughs softly, yes, he’s been so worried he almost forgot how sweet the new RFA member is.
  • Now he can’t wait for the party, maybe everything will be solved until then and he’ll be able to talk to you… and take lots of photos of you.
Spirit Working Cycles

[Disclaimer: This is my personal upg of your body’s natural cycle. Some people have reported either not having a hyperactivity period or having them so subdued that it isn’t an issue, so just use my post as a guideline for discovering your own needs. And natural fallow periods aren’t the cause for every downtime out there, some will be caused by blocks such as past trauma, energetic blockages, spirit influence, sickness and more. Some of those do require some sort of intervention and are good to get rid of!]

One of the biggest things I’ve seen you guys distressed over are the times where you are not working with your spirits! You’re not communicating (if you can communicate at all during this time), you aren’t really aware of their presence, you go ages without wearing their vessels, you just don’t have the strength to keep up with the work you want to do!

And then you grow frantic and anxious over what the spirits are thinking about you. You’re afraid of them hating you and leaving for how long you’ve been ignoring them. Or maybe they could be depressed by your sudden lack of interest, like you’re their best friend who suddenly cut contact and is ignoring their texts and calls. You may be worried about all this during your period of inactivity and can’t fix things despite being aware of them. Maybe the stress is even making it worse than before and now you can’t feel them no matter how hard you try!

So when you start to get in a better spirit working state, you’re afraid of speaking to them now, afraid of what they’ll say and if they hate you and if they’ll ever accept you back as a friend…

Guys, this is totally normal. This is a natural body cycle (well, psychic body cycle!) just like menstruation! I haven’t heard nearly as many people talking about it as I would expect, so let me break down your spiritual fallow periods!

(yes, it’s a lazily drawn graph)

The graph is divided into three horizontal sections: Hyperactivity, Normal State, and Fallow Period. The colored vertical sections are parts I want to pay particular attention to. And finally the curving black line represents your spiritual state.

Area 1: Here, you’re in a state of growth. This is fantastic! You’re learning and improving!

Area 2: You are neither growing nor declining, but there is nothing wrong with this. Many people spend the majority of their time in stasis, their growth periods coming in sudden, sharp increases. Others will almost constantly be in a state of growth too gradual to see. Any way is okay as long as it is your way!

Area 3: This is your decline stage. It isn’t quite a fallow period, but you may notice that you are not quite as sharp as usual or have trouble concentrating on spirit activity. This is fine, it is your body preparing itself for a state of growth, recovering from large energy use, or just focusing on other things. You can also enter a period of stasis before your new growth period as your body recharges. If you feel you are in a stasis period after declining, take some time for both spiritual and mundane self care!

Area 4: Here you have peaked into a time of hyperactivity.. Your senses are better than ever before and your spirit working skills are on fire. This is not necessarily a good thing! Many people don’t know how to manage themselves during this time and end up burning out into area 5. When I was in high school and attended band camp (which wasn’t really camp as much as it was all day summer practices), most parents gave their kids twenty dollars for the entire week’s lunch. As one might expect, the kid spent the entire twenty dollars on day one and spent every other day either hungry or bringing whatever scraps they could find at home. This lack of saving is similar to what you might do during your hyperactivity stage! I’ll speak more later on how to manage this stage.

Area 5: This is a sharp decline after the hyperactivity stage due to burning out. It is possible to exit the hyperactivity stage without going into such a decline, but it cannot be avoided every time. This type of decline typically happens in a very short period of time, even overnight.

Area 6: Here is the moment you’ve been waiting for: your fallow period! This is not a bad thing! Essentially this is your body’s way of resting and recharging so that it can stabilize itself to go back into spiritual matters. Your senses may be distant or nonexistent, your communication may be difficult even with the use of tools, and you may feel a disconnect from spirit work in general. Do not panic and push yourself to do spirit work; you will only damage yourself and spend more time in this state! Strive for self care right and grounding right now. It is perfectly fine to separate from spirit work right now and even recommended for some people. Dive back into the mundane world!

Area 7: Finally, you’ve exited your fallow period! Many people go through growth after their fallow periods because their bodies are so fresh from recharging. Don’t burn yourself out, but feel free to have some celebratory communication with your spirit friends!

So you’re saying my fallow periods aren’t abnormal? They’re good?

ABSOLUTELY! Not only are they good, but they are necessary for you to maintain your abilities! Going without fallow periods would be like going without sleeping. You would eventually crash and burn from the lack of rest, and then your fallow period would be more akin to being knocked unconscious than a good night’s sleep. Don’t try to push them away.

And my spirits really don’t care?

Your spirits are more attuned to spiritual needs than humans. Not only are they going to be aware of this cycle, but they may go through it too. Almost everything goes through it. If you’ve been with a spirit for a long time, you may have noticed times where they don’t communicate much or fade into the background. They also go through periods where they have difficulty communicating with physical creatures. Some will hide this very well, while others will be very upfront on the subject.

How often should I be getting these? How long should they be?

This depends entirely on yourself. Everyone has a different natural cycle. Some people will have cycles of sharp increases and decreases, with every stage lasting in bursts. Others will have almost constant growth, but it is so gradual that they feel as if they are in permanent stasis. Your fallow periods are going to be whatever your body needs. If you need longer periods to recharge then it will be longer, and perhaps lessened in intensity. Others will have shorter periods, but they are more intense because your body has to dip so far down to recharge so quickly. It is not always even, either! Most people have fairly even patterns within their cycles, but it is possible to be everchanging. As for your hyperactivity, this is usually a sharp, albeit short-lived, spike.

Now onto how to manage your cycle!

Signs of entering a hyperactivity period:

  • Pressure, vibrations, buzzing, or other unusual sensations in your third eye and other energy centers
  • Psychic senses are suddenly intensified, possibly to the point of discomfort
  • Feeling as if you are not grounded
  • Difficulty grounding
  • Floating sensation
  • Headaches
  • Disconnection from reality; disassociation
  • More attuned to the astral and physical planes than your physical body
  • Others notice that your energy is bold and even chaotic, much louder than usual
  • You attract spirits more than in your normal energy state
  • Seemingly endless energy for spirit work and other related activities
  • Sudden motivation for spirit work, you may feel an exaggeration of your skill level
  • A disregard for discernment

How to manage a hyperactivity period:

  • Ground frequently! While it may feel useless, it will help to stabilize you in the long run
  • Discharge your energy into crystals and other storage units. It will give an outlet for excess energy and give you boosts when in need
  • Attempt meditations focused around peace, calm, and stability
  • Spend time in a garden or otherwise surrounded by nature, and ground by extending your energy like roots into the earth. Doing this will help to connect yourself to the energy system around you, the plants aiding in keeping you stable
  • This is a good time to look at the big pictures of vast energy systems. Try looking at the energetic connections within a forest, or between houses in a neighborhood.
  • Do not go overboard with spirit work, energy work, magic, etc! You will not start to feel the effects of burning out until it has happened. Work on grounding and stabilizing and try to not overwork yourself.
  • Consistency is the key! Instead of spending your energy all at once, try to use this time to be consistent with your spirit senses and communication. Consistency takes much more energy than you may realize!
  • Although you shouldn’t do everything all at once, that doesn’t mean you can’t get things done right now! Feel free to work on that big project, just pay extra attention to your spiritual health and go easy.
  • Don’t get arrogant or stupid! While confidence is good and important, don’t let your abundance of energy convince you to summon a nuclear doom spirit of death without protection. You will regret power trips.
  • Practice discernment! You may feel concrete in your senses right now but it is just as important as ever
  • PROTECTION!! Some people become larger beacons for spirits during this time, so up your protection and be wary of strange spirits. Even if you do not become more attractive than normal, energy siphoning spirits will still be drawn to the excess of food in you
  • Be extra polite to local spirits. Perhaps put up a ward to quiet your energy to others or if possible avoid going into particularly active locations. Even if they have no wish to snack on you, the loud energy can be obnoxious.

Signs of entering a fallow period:

  • Disinterest and lack of motivation for spirit work, energy work, and magic
  • Psychic senses are distant or nonexistent
  • Tools seem to fail or are difficult to understand
  • You do not naturally notice telepathic speech from spirits
  • Discernment is difficult, or you may feel that nothing is real
  • Attempting spirit work, energy work, or magic exhausts you
  • You are constantly distracted when attempting to meditate or astral travel
  • You think less of your spirits throughout the day
  • You are more drawn to mundane activities, such as watching tv, and feel the need to skip or pay less attention to daily exercises
  • If you feel guilt over ignoring your spirits, you are still unable to communicate well
  • Sudden frustration with your lack of ability and progress, feeling as if you have retrograded
  • Sadness or other negative emotions at the sudden sense of disconnect from your spirits, as if your bonds have disappeared

How to manage a fallow period:

  • Focus on the mundane world! Your body is not meant to be overworking itself on the nonphysical right now
  • Work on gentle physical self care
  • As you breathe in, visualize energy in your body like liquid streams of light collecting and brightening in your third eye and any other places you use as psychic energy organs. As you breathe out, it gently diffuses outwards back throughout your body, dimming as it is once again returned to its regular density. This helps to keep your psychic energy points in shape.
  • Visualize your energy like before, but when you breathe in it flows in a steady, circular cycle upwards from the tip of your toes through your chest. Let it pass through your third eye, and as you breathe out it completes the second half of the cycle by curving downwards, flowing through and cleansing that side’s energy centers as it does so. Rather than being in a single ball, the energy is in a constant, equal flow like the blood in your veins. This helps to keep your energy clean and flowing and cuts down the risk of stagnation during your fallow period.
  • If you must do any sort of spirit or energy work, make sure it is very slow and gentle like the two exercises above. It must not conflict with your body’s rest. If you wish to practice meditation, don’t do anything requiring long periods of focus or that demands energy. Try doing meditations for sleep or calm which do not involve any spirit contact, but only focus on relaxing your body.
  • Spiritual protection based in the physical plane is very good to have for when your fallow periods occur! These are things such as witch jars and large scale crystal grids. It is easier to keep these clean and working, since you may not be able to sense purely nonphysical protection like wards at all.
  • If you wish to remind your spirits that you have them in your thoughts, include them in a daily meal by offering its energy as you eat. Simply thinking this will most likely be enough for them to hear, but if you want to be certain, say it aloud or whisper it if with company!
  • Before you go to bed, invite your spirits to sit with you as you tell them about your day, no matter how mundane. Even if you can’t sense them around you, this will show them that you are still keeping them in your thoughts and taking the time to include them in your day!
  • However, it’s also okay to simply push spirit work to the back of your mind and focus on pressing mundane matters. They will understand.
  • Above all, remember that your spiritual self is resting and recharging. Do what your own body needs to encourage this rest. Don’t try to rush past it or forcibly stuff energy into yourself, most likely you’ll end up hurt and elongating this period.

So hopefully this guide will help on the stress everyone seems to get during their fallow periods! It’s always important for us to understand the natural workings of our bodies, whether physical or nonphysical. Start including your daily thoughts on your current location in your body’s cycle to start recognizing your patterns, and maybe to even predict when your natural downtimes will occur!

So, I’ve been getting recently tons of questions regarding my notes, and today I decided to make a post about it. If you find it useful make sure to reblog it!

First of all lets talk about supplies.

Should you invest or stick to your regular supplies?

We’re all different and we all have different needs and economy. In my case, I love stationery but my economy right now isn’t that high to buy all of the cute stationery in the world. I’m always trying to find dupes, or products that work similar to expensive ones (i’m also guilty of doing this with makeup oops). Here goes a list of the essentials I keep on my pencil pouch.

  • Pens in different colors - I like to give a color to every single element on my notes. Kinda like a color scheme. Blue = definitions , Black = general content. My favorite pens are the Pilot G2 Gel pens, they’re just a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
  • Fineliners - Fineliners are by far, one of my must haves. I used to use papermate color pens, but when I bought my first pack of Stabilo’s, It was love at first sight. The two most popular brands are Stabilo and Staedtler. Both of them have their pros and cons, so here i’ll leave you a video of a battle between them. I’ve never tried the Staedtler ones, so I wouldn’t know if they’re better or not. They’re really useful for mind maps, subtitles, decorating, titles, etc. You should totally save some money and buy ones!
  • Mechanical pencils - I stopped using regular pencils because sharpening them was just pissing me off. My favorite ones are by papermate.
  • Markers - this ones to me are pretty optional, but I decided to go for some Crayola ones to make some tabs or titles. I would say they’re useful, but only if you feel like buying them.
  • Highlighters - There are thousands of types, and thousands of brands. But it’s all about your needs. If the reason you want highlighters is to highlight on books, I would really recommend Sharpies and Stabilos. I have both of them, they work pretty well. And here we go with one of the most popular products around tumblr: mildliners. I have to admit it:  they’re beautiful. They come in different colors and they’re just gorgeous! The only problem to me is the price. They don’t sell mildliners here in my country, so I have to order them from Amazon, and it’s just really expensive. Are they worth it? To me, yes. But if you don’t want to spend that much money on highlighters, you can also try the Pilot Frixion Light ones. Anyways, here’s a video comparing many of these popular brands.

Now that you have your stationery set and ready, is time to get started with the hardest part : taking notes. One thing you need to know is, I take many of my notes in class time, which means I have to come up with a plan and a color scheme in a matter of seconds to get started when the teacher starts giving class.

My note taking process:

  1. Set a color scheme - You can make it all pink, all blue, all warm colors, all violets, etc. I always try to alternate and use a different color for every topic, so you should try it out.
  2. Different fonts - I use cursive for subtitles and my normal handwriting for the rest of the text. I always get asked: What did you do to get such a neat handwriting? My answer is: practice. I used to have a really horrible handwriting when I started high school, but once I discovered studyblrs, I began to copy some of the handwriting on pictures. I came up with my own font and i’m really happy with it! So dont be afraid to copy some handwriting you like, in the end you can always add your style to it.
  3. Organize your information - Many times teachers ask you to make mind maps, diagrams, charts, etc. Choose the one that fits your information. I’m a huge fan of diagrams, but I also like to use charts a lot. Its all about your personal opinion. Most of the times teachers give me paper sheets with al the information on them, so the next thing I do is to highlight definitions. Once I’m done with definitions, I start highlighting with a different color the rest of the text.
  4. Start writing - This is my last step, and its pretty simple. Once I have all of my information sorted and organized, I can get writing! I spend a lot of time doing it so I really commend you to find a good and relaxing playlist to have fun while doing it and a bottle of water.

I hope you found this post useful! Love, Dani.

A spell for when an abuser finds a new partner to victimize

Sometimes your abusive ex finds a new partner to torment, or maybe a friend has gotten into an abusive relationship. You may be worried about their safety and emotional wellbeing and you don’t think this relationship is for the best.
So here’s a spell to break them the fuck up.

Needed:

- A pink candle

- Representations of the Elements

- Dried roses or a single rose, preferably red

- Pink embroidery floss or thread

- Needle

 - Colored pencils or markers

 - Paper

 - Scissors

 - Some kind of oil (i used vegetable oil)

- Fireproof Dish

 - Lighter

- A representation of a deity

Optional

- Fire Salt (It can give your spell an extra kick)

- Mortar and pestle for grinding your roses, but crumbling them in your hands works well too!

Perform at night (I performed it at midnight on Valentines Day).

Cleanse yourself and meditate on really cleansing your aura. You can put protection sigils on your body and tie a white ribbon around your dominant hand for extra protection.

Cleanse your space and materials in whichever way you’d like and set it up  with all your materials within reach. Double check you have everything so you’re not getting up in the middle of the ritual. Set up your space in whatever way makes you feel the most comfortable and safe.

Ground yourself. This is super important to do thoroughly so don’t rush it.

Cast a circle, if you’re into that. You can verbally state an intention as well, such as: Negative energies and entities are not allowed to come into this circle/space/whatever.

Invoke the elements and welcome any spirits/deities you work with. Ask them to watch over you and protect you during this spell. If you’re like me, you can sprinkle some fire salt onto the fire candle and ask the element of fire to especially protect and help you with your task.

State your intention aloud. It can be something like: My intention is for [Abusers first and last name] and [Their new partners first and last name] to break up forever. They deserve to break up because [Abuser] is toxic and shouldn’t be with anyone, especially someone nice like [New Partner].

Make 2 Paper Poppets representing the two people you want to break up, draw some clothing on them and their full names on the back (as well as instagram handles, tumblr handles, anything to really get a tag lock on them). Really connect the person to the poppet, meditate on it for a bit, think of all their attributes and qualities.

Draw a heart on each of the poppets with red pencil, thread the embroidery floss through the hearts connecting the two poppets. Say: This is the connection the two of you share. It holds all the happiness, romance, friendship, and love you feel for each other. It is strong. Think about the connection these two people share.

Gather a handful of dried roses, grind them in a mortar and pestle or with your hands, infuse them with your curses energy. Say:
A Rose by any other name, would smell as sweet.
But [Abusers first and last name] and [New Partners first and last name] relationship is obsolete.
All burned up, only ashes remain.
[Abuser] and [New Partner] will never be together again.
Put them in the fireproof dish, burn the roses until they’re ashes.

Hold the candle in your hands, engrave their names into the candle with the needle and add a heart (Abuser+Partner ♡). Say: Element of Fire I call upon you, burn up the bond between these two. Before [Abuser] can hurt [New Partner], make their bond turn into ashes.
Infuse the candle with your energy. Think of why their bond needs to be broken. Really take the time to pour your energy into it. Dress the candle in oil and roll it in the ashes of the roses. Add a little bit of fire salt onto your candle and light it.

Hold the poppets in your hands with the pink cord over the candle flame. Say: [Abuser] and [New Partner], on this romantic day,
Your feelings of like and love begin to dissipate
The things you loved about each other you now hate
[Abusers] ugly side is all you see

[New Partner] you know in your heart you need to leave
Repeat the last line until you feel its really sunk in.

Burn the connection between the two poppets. Visualize the new partner leaving the abuser. Picture them walking away from each other, never to meet again. Say:
The connection between you two burns away
You’re bond is forever broken
You break up, for ever and ever
[Abuser] and [New Partner] never get back together
Because [New Partner] deserves better

Close your spell however you like. Say goodbye to the elements, deities or spirits. Close your circle. Put away all your materials. Cleanse your space again. Cleanse yourself again. Drink water. Eat food. Calm down.

Dispose of the poppets far away from each other.

You may want to perform a binding on the abuser so they can’t abuse others in the future and a protection spell for the partner so this doesn’t happen to them again.

Note: This isn’t some petty break up spell, only use it when you are genuinely concerned about the new partners safety and well being.

🌼 Local Bi Witch🌹

So uh, I went to a little art making party with some people who weren’t artists, and used the supplies that were there.

This is how I ended up painting Sheith lions with cheap Crayola water colors on paper that was NOT made for watercolors. So obviously there were some supply issues, but I still liked the result enough to post it.

Warnings: I don’t know if this is really a warning, but I felt like I should add it. If you’re color-blind in anyway or deal with anything similar this may be sensitive to some. Writing this definitely me think about how some people may not see colors and I tried to grasp the feeling in this fic.

Request from @palebun-16 :  Hello!! Could I request a peter Parker x female reader soulmate au where when you see your soulmate you start to see colors and peter sees them but only as spider man? And then the rest is up to you! Thank you!

A/N: Thank you for your request @palebun-16 ! This request really made me think. I thought it was a super clever idea and then I got scared because I had no idea how I was going to do it justice. It’s such a cool concept that I didn’t want to ruin. It was definitely a challenge for me! I’ve always struggled with writing but really appreciate the support and feel like I am improving. :) I hope you like it! Let me know what you think and requests are still open! We do have a few still were working on so it might take a while, but we are determined to do them all so thank you for your patience!

Living in a colorless would can get quite boring, well to you at least. Everyone seemed to be used to seeing in black and white until finding their soulmate. A lot of people didn’t even seem interested in seeing colors, but that was not your case. Being a hopeless romantic gave you the dream to find that one person that would be your true love, and along with that came with the dream of seeing color. You couldn’t help but imagine what it felt like to have that one person that cared for you so deeply, and to care for them as well; having each other’s backs and going through life together as a team.
