the chronicles of narnia : the voyage of the dawn treader

the chronicles of narnia by c.s lewis

“I wrote this story for you, but when I began it I had not realized that girls grow quicker than books. As a result you are already too old for fairy tales, and by the time it is printed and bound you will be older still. But some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again. You can then take it down from some upper shelf, dust it, and tell me what you think of it. I shall probably be too deaf to hear, and too old to understand a word you say, but I shall still be. ― your affectionate Godfather, C. S. Lewis.”

Why does no one write smut about the Narnian Men? I mean guys look at them!!

narnia preference: dating them would involve...

dating edmund would involve…

  • you being the one to break his shell
  • being the one person he shows vulnerability around
  • holding hands under the table
  • finding millions of ways to turn him on
  • holding doors open for you even when you’re 25 feet away
  • low-key (actually high-key) super kinky
  • threading his fingers through your hair when you’re sleeping
  • him thinking that you’re super hot when you guys are arguing but turns red at the thought and becomes an awkward, stumbling mess
  • passing cute notes in class
  • being lucy’s best friend
  • him watching you and lucy play
  • and unconsciously his mind is always thinking about you
  • because he just loves you so much

dating peter would involve…

  • lots of picking you up and spinning you around
  • mama pevensie loving you so much, she thinks of you as already being married to peter
  • leading to heated make out sessions on the kitchen countertop
  • him being such a gentlemen
  • always having his one hand on your back or around your waist
  • like he would stop and make sure you were okay
  • edmund accidentally walking in on you two
  • always finding him staring at you
  • staying home whenever you fall ill
  • being tight knit with susan
  • “because if you think about it logically – “
  • “you’re spending too much time with susan.”

dating caspian would involve…

  • lots of hugs from behind
  • lots of forehead kisses
  • him letting you run your hands through his incredibly smooth hair
  • him purposefully trying to get you mad because he thinks it’s the cutest thing
  • you being better than him wielding a sword
  • so you end up teaching up
  • his scruff tickling you
  • being close friends with reepicheep
  • going on picnics
  • okay, but the way you guys sleEP IS ADORABLE
  • him waking up before you just so he could admire you sleeping
  • cause damn
  • how did he get so lucky

Headcanon that it was Narnian tradition that it was improper for women to wear pants. It was dresses or skirts. Susan, being an expert in culture and society, insisted that Lucy wear dresses as well- it was only proper for a royal. Even when Lucy was little and getting her dresses muddy everyday. Even when Lucy was old enough to train to fight. Even when Lucy went to war. Narnian ladies wear dresses.

But in Prince Caspian, Susan wasn’t there. Granted, the only extra clothes aboard the DT were men’s. Lucy used this excuse, as well as the fact that Susan wasn’t there, to become the first Narnian female royal to wear pants.

And when everyone else heard of this from the crew and such, the trend caught like fire.

Narnian ladies wanted pants. And now that Lucy did it, they could too.

“Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

“He’ll be coming and going" he had said. “One day you’ll see him and another you won’t. He doesn’t like being tied down–and of course he has other countries to attend to. It’s quite all right. He’ll often drop in. Only you mustn’t press him. He’s wild, you know. Not like a tame lion.”

Edmund and Lucy Pevensie // Aesthetic

Back to Narnia

(An Edmund/Pevensie Imagine) by @edmundsfreckles

Hearing that your lovely boyfriend Edmund got into a fight at the train station, you rushed over there from the across the street to see if he was alright, like a good girlfriend would do.

Almost out of breath, you turned the corner, seeing the Pevensie’s looking a bit grumpy, especially Ed, but once he saw you, his face expressions completely softened.

“You worried me sick, are you alright?” you asked. He definetly heard the concern in your voice.“Yes, I’m absolutely fine Y/N, I’m so sorry I worried you. Your pretty little mind shouldn’t have to be worrying about stupid little me.” he cooed to you as you sat sideways on his lap.

“Well, I’m glad your okay,” you told him, positioning your head in the crook of his neck. “I love you.” you whispered. “I love you too, Y/N.”

Waiting for the train, you played with Edmund’s scarf, your fingertips glided across the rough colored fabric. As you were doing so, he just stared at you as if you were a precious gem. “You’ll never know how much you mean to me, Y/N” he confessed, blushing hard. You felt your heart beat faster as those words came out of his mouth, and the corners of your mouth curled.

Turning to face him, you stared into each other’s eyes. Both of your eyes scrambled across each other’s faces. You were admiring Ed’s features. His jawline, and cute button nose. His freckles the stars, and his skin the sky. Leaning in, and closing your eyes, you heard Lucy yell.

“Ow! Something pinched me!” both of you being concerned, you didn’t get to have that kiss.

“Quiet Lu,” Susan tried to hush her.

“Stop pulling!” Peter snapped.  “I’m not touching you!” Edmund barked.

“Would you all just… what is that?”

“It feels like magic!” Lucy and I said in unison.

“Everybody hold hands…” Susan instructed.

“I’m not holding your hand!” Edmund whined to Peter and Susan.

The next thing you knew, the station was falling apart. The ceiling was caving in, and the sides were going into the tunnel. “Susan, are you crazy? We should be getting out of here!” You practically screamed. “No I’m not crazy, just wait.” she insisted.

Looking across the station, the train went by quickly. Feeling the breeze the motion created, you could see a picture, switching between the tiles and the train windows.

“Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” You questioned, the Pevensie’s didn’t answer.

The train went faster and faster, and soon enough that image turned clear. It was a beach. The station tunnel turned into an arched cave. You all let go of each other’s hands, and came out from the darkness into the light.

In front of you, was the beach. The water, blue as Peter, Susan, and Lucy’s eyes. Waves were crashing into your ears, telling you to get a feel.

You all then ran towards the water, leaving trails of clothes behind. The sand’s heat was an amazing pain, that soon went away as your feet got wet.

“Shame you’re not as quick as me, Ed!” Peter teased as he was running from Edmund.

“Last one in’s a rotten egg!” Lucy laughed.

You all splashed in the water, you didn’t mind that you were getting wet in your clothes. The moment felt amazing, everyone was happy. The weather was great. The scenery was beautiful. Edmund was fussing with Peter, but then quickly turned to you. “Come ‘ere!” he chuckled, pulling you into a hug, then flipping you upside down.

“Edmund!” you gasped with giggles. “Put me down!” you cried. “Never!” he yelled. His siblings all laughed at you as you were trying to get out go his surprising, strong grip. “Alright, here you go.” and Edmund dumped you into the cold water.

Now your whole body was in the water, but you opened your eyes and it felt so amazing. Being in beach water was one of the best feelings out there.

The sand was so soft beneath your feet, and the blue water glowing above you from the reflection off the sun light, your hair slowly spinning around your head with the water dancing with it. You even got some water in your mouth, tasting the salt, which truly wasn’t that bad. You could barely hear the Pevensie’s under the water, wanting to join back with them, you slowly came back up, seeing Edmund laughing at you.

“You’re so dead.” I taunted. Splashing water onto Edmund, you pushed him down getting him wet. “Ha!” you laughed.

The Chronicles of Narnia Series

So seeing as it was my birthay and @alice-c-anna (@aslansblessings) yesterday, it only seemed right to dedicate my latest Narnia edit to her. Hope you like the edit and that your birthday turned out awesome because you certainly deserved it!

Wife Of A King: Part 1

Pairing: Edmund Pevensie x Reader (f)

Warnings: sorcery, that’s the closest thing I believe, touch of angst

Author’s Note: I have been rewatching the Narnia movies and as it’s been since I was six, my emotions for Edmund rang true. I had fun writing this, and I hope you like it also :)

“We have castaways!” You hear the captain yell. It doesn’t really have any interest to you though, not until you her Caspian call out to Edmund. Donning a large grin, you stand and make your way to the young king.

“Well well well, look at you, young and handsome as ever.” You say to the boy before you.

Edmund squints at you while wiping water from his face. Sure, you’re attractive, but he doesn’t remember knowing anyone of your age in Narnia. “I can assure you I have always been handsome, Miss…?” Your eyebrow quirk as a fog starts at the base of your feet, “Oh, I don’t know whether to be flattered, or hurt,” Now the fog engulfs you completely, “You don’t even remember you own wife? Your queen?” When the heavy smoke disperses, you’re the same age as Edmund again.

Without even thinking, Edmund throws his arms around you, “The advantages of marrying a sorceress, my king. We never truly have to be apart.” Pressing a kiss to his forehead, you take a step back, “My king, I have missed you more than words can ever express.”

Before Edmund can reply, the other boy that entered Narnia with them is whining, “Wife? Edmund doesn’t even live in his own house! And of all the people, she’s a witch! A - a -” Releasing Edmund, you step towards the fool Lucy has called Eustace and with each step, you grow bigger, “Watch the next words that leave your mouth, boy. You are a relative to my husband, and no blood of mine.”

Eyes wide and chest heaving, Eustace fumbles about his words, “I was just going to say that you’re a perfect match for my cousin.” Going back to your form, you smirk at the frightened boy, “Good. Now run along.” You’re hoping to get back to your husband, but Lucy wraps you in a hug, giggling at your encounter with her cousin, “Y/N! It’s so good to see you!” Smiling, You hug her back, “As it is always to see you Lucy, but if you don’t mind, I’d like to spend some time with my king.”

For the rest of the afternoon, you and Edmund sit together and talk about how your lives have been since you’ve been separated.

“It’s so hard.” You say softly, your shoulder resting against Edmund’s as you stare out at the water, “For years and years, I got used to waking up everyday with my husband by my side. Then you left. I remember the morning after, when you never returned from Spare Oom, and I had forgotten.

"When you weren’t beside me, I figured you and Peter were outside, sparring. But when I got out there, I was met with Aslan. Everyday day after that, for just a moment, I would look for you beside me, then I would remember that you were gone. Then you came back, and for the entirety of your stay, we were fighting a war. I still haven’t gotten used to not seeing your face in the morning, and I hate our worlds for it.”

Edmund hears the sadness in your voice and takes your hand in his. He’s about to agree with you, but he notices the ring on your finger, “Your wedding ring. You still wear it?” He asks you incredulously. You place a kiss to his hand, “My king, I never take it off. Things of Narnia can not go to your world, so I was not surprised to see you don’t have yours.”

Just as he goes to say something, the captain yells across the ship, “Land ho!”

The lot of you row up to the dock in long boats, but when you go to step out of yours, Edmund holds you back, “Stay here, it might be dangerous.” Raising your eyebrow, you smirk at your king, “I don’t know if you recall, my husband, but I have fought and helped win plenty of wars by your side.”

At this, Edmund’s face grows gravely serious, “Y/N, I just got you back, I’m not going to put you at risk. For once in our marriage, can you please not stay by my side. I won’t ask you again, but just this once, please.” Nodding, you pull Edmund’s lips to yours, “Come back to me safely. I’m not there to protect you.” You say once the two of you part, your forehead pressed to his. Nodding against you, Ed gives you one more quick kiss and leaves you standing there in the long boat, holding his wedding band in your pocket.
