The first game I ever fell in love with was The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past. Super Nintendo. (Sighs) Such a good game! Everything about that game is perfect. The music is amazing, the story is so good, the scalability of the difficulty is perfect. It’s literally a textbook case of how to make a perfect game. It’s a game where I go back. I have a Super Nintendo, I have a Super Famicom, I have the Japanese cartridge and I have the American cart and I go back and play it every year. It’s the game that made me want to get into speed running. It’s just a such a good game I can’t say it enough.
My first lady love has got to be Kingdom Hearts. It’s the first game where I actually got emotional and cried over the story. There is just something about Riku and Sora and everything they have going on that I was just sobbing in my room while playing it at the end. The soundtrack is gorgeous and it just get’s me every time.
That would be The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time. That was because I have two brothers. They were very much into video games and I was always watching them play games but never actually got to play anything for myself. So Zelda was the first game I ever played by myself and beat all of the way through, and I was like “Oh! This is actually really fun!”
