Summary: In which Jeon Jungkook is that friendly neighborhood superhero, you’re the face in the hallway that saved his high school career, and he can’t ever seem to get a grip around you. Even when he makes you scream after a fated accident—not for the reason you may be thinking; get the thought out of your head!

Author’s Note: Honestly though, it was only a matter of time before I got around to writing a story like this. I am obsessed with Spiderman, so this might just be the foundational guideline for many future Jungkook Spiderman AU drabbles to come in the future.

The story was also heavily inspired by this photo that made me cry for seven days and seven nights. +photo credit !!!!!!!

(the present)

If Jeon Jungkook is against anything in his life, it’s one’s ability to exaggerate certain situations or problems to make those things seem much bigger than they probably were. Well, actually, take that back. It’s not that he’s against it per say, it’s just that his peer’s daily struggles of pop quizzes and missing the morning bus aren’t exactly headliner news—especially in comparison to what he has to go through.

Jeon Jungkook is against exaggeration, probably because he can’t get away with it himself. It’s not that he doesn’t like to exchange his fair share of embellished stories or fabricated events weaved into true experiences, it’s that he can’t afford to do so. Sharing stories of his nightly routines and dashing superhero adventures may seem great, but only if he could manage the burden of a personal life and a masked life intertwining.

As an 18-year-old boy, he can probably say it’s safe to assume that he cannot. Manage the overwhelming, opposite pressure both of his lives take him, that is. It’s difficult enough being a college freshman, a tiny fish in an ocean of whales and sharks, but throw in his late night Spiderman facade would be too much of a tale to share with other people and peers who probably ask too many questions and know too much about him. He’s never liked the exposure that comes with being in the spotlight, and he can’t hide behind his mask if people knew who he was.

Oh. Right. Speaking of his Spiderman facade, that’s who is he. Haven’t heard of him? You know, the dashing hero of Seoul, red and blue spandex attire with a web shooter, fine tuned senses and amazingly quick reflexes? The boy who swings around the city, volunteering for trouble and always coming out right on top? The boy who constantly maintains that casual, slightly amused tone throughout a majority of his rescues?

Yeah, well, that’s Jungkook.

There is a door in the history department. It never looks the same twice and is always cracked open when it’s actually there. No one has ever returned through it.

There once was a chemistry major that went through the door. Their friend followed after.

One returned.

One did not.

The story did not begin there though. It began long, long ago, in the tales and songs of ancestors long gone; passed from mother to daughter and father to son. They did not fade through time, starting anew in each beating heart of the family line.

They reached a young girl with olive skin and hair like raven’s wings. Her dark eyes would shine as her grandmother wove the tales by the fireside.

She spoke to the girl of a woman with fiery hair and burning eyes, who spoke with flames and held infernos between her palms. Perhaps that sparked the love in her for all things she should not, and she strove to make the embers dance, like the one with fire in her hands.

Her grandmother knew in her old, wise bones that this child needed the tales more than most. Their family had always been aware, trusting their intuition had never led them wrong.

So when the girl came to Elsewhere, (For where else could she have gone?) Everyone steered clear (The school gave up on roommates before very long.)

Perhaps it was because of her reputation of playing with fire, or perhaps it was simply fate, but her chemistry professor paired her with a boy who loved to play with ice. They became unlikely friends, she with her burning salts and he with his liquid nitrogen.

“Call me Pyrra.” she said.

“Frozone.” He grinned, white teeth gleamed against his dark skin.

He told her of his girlfriend back in Louisiana who was pregnant with his child: “It’s too soon to know the gender yet.” And she would just smile.

She told him of her grandparents and their small, simple home that stood alone on the reservation and of the wild horses that would thunder by.

They knew what everyone would say, how unwise it was to share so much about themselves, but they were chemistry majors—those rarely got taken.

The two were closer then blood and they both forgot one very important fact— being Taken isn’t the only way to Vanish.

It had been an accident. Frozone hadn’t been paying attention. He had forgotten to count the doors, as he stumbled to his history class after a long night in the labs. No one probably would have known if a fellow student hadn’t seen him stepping through the door—too late to stop his fate.

Pyrra was the first one told, the RA’s decided to wait till the end of the term before notifying his family. They knew it was a futile hope, but anything beat having to make that call.

Pyrra wouldn’t accept this though. She gathered up her craft, and armed herself with salts to burn. She dressed herself in her tribe’s garments and war paint on her face—there is power in being claimed—and set off for the history building when the moonless night was at its darkest.

The door gave way before her and she crossed into when; not where, her friend had gone. She travelled far until she found where the Little People were gathered round. They vanished as she drew near, but she was unshaken by this or fear.

“I have come to bargain for my brother of heart.”

“What will you give?” They whispered in reply.

“A story like none other.” She called bravely into the night.

“There is no story to match his fate, for his return we will need something great.”

Pyrra paused before standing straight.

“Then I will take his place.”

“Is this your choice?”

She thought of her grandparents, sitting at home, they had only gotten electricity a few years ago.

She thought of Frozone’s sisters, all so young and alone thriving off their brother’s hope to give them a better home, on the income of the degree the scholarship would to them all. She thought about his girlfriend, who worked two jobs by day, and attended a community college to get her art degree by night. With that her mind was made.

“It is.”

Frozone stumbled in, lost and confused as if it had only been an hour instead of a day. He caught onto what had happened more than quick enough.

“Pyrra, you can’t do this! Please! It’s my mistake to pay.”

“Call my grandmother and ask for my name, give it to your daughter and your debt shall be paid.”

That was all the time they had, before he was gone and she had stayed. The Little Folk drew near her now; intent on Their new pet, but she held up her hand, she wasn’t Theirs quite yet.

“I have another bargain to make.”

“What now?” They grumbled, discontent and bored.

“My story for my freedom, I chose to stay, but not to be yours.”

“Fine.” they hissed “But the bargain is this: you must keep us entertained till dawn or to us you will belong.”

What choice was there left for her to make? The sky was at it darkest—the hour before dawn. But how that hour stretched on and on!

She dared not tell her family’s tales, or sing to Them their songs, so she told them what she had, her science close at hand.

She told them how a star was born and how precious gems became; all the while between her hands she wove the tales with flame.

When that never nearing dawn finally broke upon the sky, They praised her skills, and kept their deals; blessing her all the while.

Fire-tongue they called her; Flame-speaker, They would say. They kissed her eyes and painted her lips, dressing her in flame.

She smiled and simply said, “That is not my name.”

For she had a new name now, one that no one could ever Take, now that she had given her old name away.

Frozone made it back and tried to keep his word. He called her grandmother who patiently greeted him and told him Pyrra’s name, only requesting that in return he send her things and bring his daughter by some day. She waved him off when he explained that the baby was still too small to tell, whether it was female or male.

Years passed and soon it was time to graduate. Everyone assumed that Pyrra’s grandparents came for Frozone. No one expected Pyrra to appear and collect her diploma as if she had been there all along. Then again, no one mentioned how her eyes were embers now or how her hair had turned from raven black to crimson—so she very well may have been.

A few decades later a new student comes—a chemistry major that loves to play with fire. She wears a white smile; which is near blinding against her dark skin. She claims she came to prove that her father paid his debt. She won’t say anymore than that. But sometimes she would leave the dorm shortly before dawn on moonless nights with a string of fireworks in her hands. She would always return the next morning, humming ancient songs as she wrote an email to her father.

During her time a new tale whispers its way into campus lore.

It’s breathed into the ears of distraught students—those with the courage to try and reclaim the Taken Ones are the only ones to hear the advice.

“Come to the edge of the woods on a moonless night, just before dawn and set off fireworks of every color—then wait.”

The ones who listen return with tales about a woman in smoldering garments, blazing red hair, and glowing embers for eyes who would test their resolve. To those who passed she would gift them with words or song, depending on their need, she might even gift them with her fire.

Regardless of what you get, it is always enough to get them back.

Except no one can remember what it was she gave them. They could never remember the tale itself, just that she gave them one; the songs she granted would dance just beyond memory’s grasp; the image of a mesmerizing flame leaving a ghostly impression inside their eyelids. There was only one thing anyone remembers her saying.

“My name is Story—”

There is a door in the history department. It never looks the same twice and is always cracked open when it is there. No one has ever returned through it.

There once was a chemistry major that went through the door. His friend followed after.

He returned.

She did not.

“—and I create myself.”

A/N: I know the Gentry come off a little strange in this. It’s mostly because Pyrra is Navajo and thus the stories she knows are of the Little People; but at Elsewhere, the Gentry are for the most part from Great Britain, Ireland and thereabouts. I tried to blend these two cultures. I’m not gunna lie, I didn’t do great. I haven’t done much with Navajo mythology in a long while. I feel it came off pretty shoddy in this. I’m not trying to offend (I’m part native American myself). Also, I love Chemistry but I suck at it which is why I didn’t go as into depth as I would have liked. (My grammar sucks too, so apologies there as well.)

[Violence/Murder]

The small general store was quiet except for the sound of a young man’s broom sweeping across the floor and the faint echo of a radio playing from a backroom. The only customer was a tall man whom had been lurking a far aisle, his eyes scanning the various cans on the slightly dusty shelf while his left hand gripped his briefcase.

The sweeping ceased at the sound of the bell above the door. The young man stood by the counter and watched as the man walked through the aisles, pausing to smile and handle random cans with a laugh. His finger swiped a shelf and he inspected the dust with a disappointed face. He wore an all black suit. A blood red kerchief was tied around his neck and his hat tipped on his head just enough to look sinister.

“Go get your grandpa, kid,” he commanded and leaned an elbow on the shop counter while waiting, nodding once to the customer across the way.

The boy dropped the broom and scrambled to the backroom to retrieve the old man. His slumped frame, followed closely by his grandson, walked slowly to the other side of the counter.

“You don’t mind, right?” the man in black spoke it as more of a statement than a question. He reached over to a jar of suckers, unwrapping one and popping it in his mouth while flicking the wrapper onto the floor. “I’m very worried. I don’t see any money in your hands, and I gave you very clear instructions,” he explained.

The old man’s face remained calm, but his grandson’s fists were balled at his sides. For a moment all three stood there staring at one another with only the faint but familiar jazz tune from the radio filling the space.

“We are under the protection of Don V, we won’t be giving you any money,” the old man was stern, but he took an anxious breath to calm his nerves.

The man in black pulled the candy from his mouth and let out a comical laugh for a moment, then his face became quite serious.

“You’re making a big mistake, pops,” he pointed the sucker in the old mans face.

“Hey! You can’t threaten my gran-“ the boy started, but the old man placed a hand on the boys shoulder to stop him from talking.

“Whoah, whoah! Hey, it’s okay, kid…pops,” he nodded to them both, “I won’t be coming back. I get the message.”

The man reached over to pinch and smack the boys cheek, then with a smirk he straightened the old mans collar and brushed off his apron before patting him on the chest.

He tilted his hat to the customer before leaving. The man, after nodding back, set the briefcase on the shelf, making sure to click the lock before walking out empty-handed and entering the backseat of a black car that had been waiting for him.

“What a fool,” the blonde woman driving said when she heard him close the door of the car.

“Eh, place was a dump anyway,” the man in black said from the passengers seat with a sigh, “we’d never get any dough from that joint,” he sat back in the seat and lowered the hat over his eyes.

“That’s not the point, Saeran,” she snapped, smacking the hat from his head before hitting the gas.

“Hey, watch it,” he groaned and picked his hat back up, “I hate this city.”

“Well, get over it. We’ll be running it, soon,” she replied.

The man in the back turned to look out of the window as they drove away.

“Should be any moment now,” he spoke, but neither of them in the front payed any mind to what he was saying.

The explosion in the distance paired with the sound of shattering glass and rubble elicited screams from the people on the streets. They watched women, children, and men as they began to run in hopes of seeing what had happened.

“Look at them, flocking like vultures to see the carnage,” Saeran hissed in disgust.

“Let them look. I want them to see what happens when they don’t pay up,” she laughed.

“Yeah, yeah. Can we stop somewhere? I’m fuckin’ starving, here,” he replied.

“Christ,” Saeyoung’s face hardened as he heard the news.

“Frank is waiting at the scene,” one of the soldiers explained before being waved off.

He had been overseeing Jaehee’s team as they unloaded another shipment of bootleg into a warehouse. He leaned back on the car and pinched the bridge of his nose in silent thought and frustration.

“Lucky, Kitty!” he called out, sounding harsher than intended.

“Yes, boss?” Yoosung approached, winded but smiling, with you right beside him.

“Frank’s waiting down by first street. Don’t ask questions, just go meet him. Report back to me right after, got that?” he ruffled Yoosung’s cap.

     “Got it!” he took off.

You began to follow but Saeyoung tugged at your arm and pulled you back, causing you to stumble a bit on the pavement.

“Lucky’s lucky, but, keep your eyes open…you’ll understand why when you get there. Be careful,” he warned.

     “I’m always careful,” you insisted.

“Attagirl,” he let go, flashing a bit of a smile as you walked away.

Yoosung had waited for you to catch up, and as you walked you wondered who Frank could be. And what was going on. You were both oddly quiet. Normally, you couldn’t get Yoosung to shut up. He still had that smile on his face, but the whole way there he only spoke to point out puddles, so you wouldn’t step in them.

From far away, the damage seemed extensive. It only got worse as you approached, and anyone could see it was the work of a bomb. Aside from a few kids out to take a look at the wreckage, there weren’t many people in sight. Most had probably shut themselves at home in fear, you guessed.

Down a nearby alley you saw the figure of a man in uniform waiting. His face became familiar the closer you got. His large belly, bulbous nose and reddish stubble on his face more apparent with the closing distance. You paused, your heart racing and your palms sweating. Frank…

“Don’t worry! He’s on our payroll. That’s Lieutenant Frank,” Yoosung said when he noticed your hesitancy.

You knew very well who it was. But did he know you? Would he recognize your face? You had always thought this son of a bitch was crooked. Damn, who else from the force would you come in contact with…this was way deeper than you had anticipated. You couldn’t wait to expose him for the scum he was.

“Lucky! My boy, how’s the family?” he asked in a chipper tone.

“Mom’s doing a little better. She actually got out of bed yesterday, started pointing out all the things that needed cleaning,” Yoosung smiled.

“I bet your old man loved that,” he laughed, “glad to hear it. And…you seem familiar? When did we meet? I can’t quite remember your name,” his eyes narrowed in on you.

“I’m going to go ask around, see if anyone saw anything,” you said through a lump in your throat before running off.

You were careful of the glass that littered the street. It looked like they hadn’t been able to clean everything up yet. You kicked a few pieces of brick and wood shards, your heart sinking as you peeked into the empty space to survey the damage. It was littered with burned and exploded cans, a remnant of a broom close to your feet.

“Hey, you,” you grabbed a young boy by the collar as he came running passed you, “did you see what happened here?”

“Well, there was a car and-“

“Louie!” a window flew open a few stories up on an adjacent building and cut him off, “come home, now!” she waved her rag in anger at him as she scolded.

The boy ran home without another word and Yoosung appeared only a moment later, his face was white and his smile non-existent. For a moment you held your breath, waiting for him to say something. Say that he knew all about you, that he was going to tell the Mad Hatter.

“What is it, Yoosung?” you tried to hide the quiver in your tone, “what did he say?”

“He said they don’t know much about what happened. Everyone around here is too scared to talk. And…” he trailed off.

     “And what?” you pressed him.

“Well. He doesn’t know who the guy is, but he says he is pretty sure. It’s really hushed over there and he is trying to find out more. He says…someone from the police force has worked their way into the family. He says we have a rat.”

All Too Well | Pt. 9

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9 | Part 10 | Epilogue

Summary: You and Yoongi shared a loving relationship with one another until you both agreed to end things and pursue your separate careers. But two years later, Yoongi is a member of the ever growing Bangtan Boys, and you are a new makeup artist for their upcoming tour.
Pairing: Yoongi | Reader
Genre: Fluff/Angst/Smut; Idol & Makeup Artist AU
Word Count: 7,428
Author’s Note: I know I said part 9 would be the last one of the series, BUT after going through the outline and actually writing out the story, I decided to cut the last part into 2!!

.

Out of all the boys in Bangtan, everyone has always assumed that Yoongi would be the individual most likely to think problems through before attacking them with the full force of a bullet train. He elects to care about very little things in his life, but when he chose to express personal interest in a situation it’s guaranteed that he would put his entire being into ensuring its success. Given that he’s very careful about what to put his heart into, it’s constantly assumed that Yoongi would at least have the common sense to analyze the positive and negatives of his placement before diving in.

But, then again, he’s never really had much of a filter when it comes to you. You would always be that exception, the only tangible object in Yoongi’s life that he could never so neatly observe from an apathetic standpoint. It’s as if his head could never get screwed on straight enough to see reason because the thought of you is enough to make him see stars in the best way possible—and that concept is terrifying beyond belief.

You’ve always been different in every singular aspect and nothing at its very core could change that, and that very difference is what drives Yoongi out the door. All that calm and collected composure had been unraveling from the moment everyone landed back in Korea, or maybe even in the time frame before that, and the cold hard truth that things might not be the same when you returned eats at his nerves. He doesn’t think twice to grab his keys, his bag, literally anything he could get his hands on as he swings open the door of the dormitory.

“like a bunny ear.” Hunter mumbled over a mouth full of goldfish as Betty tied the shoelaces of his tiny black converse.

“Very good bug,now hop on up like a bunny and let’s head to the park ”

He leaped from the bed and into his mothers arms as she pulled him tighter into her chest laughing.

She held his hand as they walked down the streets of Riverdale, he was a little wobbly on his feet and he always stopped to pick the dandelions, growing up in a florists shop he had a very unique appreciation for nature, something absolutely endearing.

After a very interesting conversation with a bumblebee the pair finally arrived at the park, Betty pulled out her baby bag and handed Hunter his fake tool kit, sending him off to play on the soft grass as she pulled out her newest novel. She glanced up, making sure the dark haired toddler was near by before tucking her feet under her body and adjusting the cotton, yellow baby doll dress.

“Still reading Judy Blume huh?”

Betty squinted in the sun, staring suprised at Jughead as he stood nervously before her, his hands stuffed into his leather jacket and a toothpick hanging loosely from his mouth.

“Hunter loves her, he makes me read from one of her books every night.” She pat the seat beside her on the bench and he slowly slid beside her.

“He likes to read?” His eyes were trained on the little boy pretending to hammer a fake nail into the grass, Betty watched Jugheads profile, watched the way his eyes traced every moment his son made, almost memorizing him.

“Well he’s two so he’s not doing much reading, he is however, a fantastic listener. And you should hear him at story time. He babbles and babbles.” Her eyes shone with pride and Jughead smiled.

“He’s smart, figures. What does he do for fun? What about eating? He eats good?” He spoke quickly, his hands moving rapidly.

Betty laughed, placing her hands over his to stop them from moving so spastically.

“Everything he does is fun, look at him, he’s a bundle of energy. And as for eating, he most definitely takes after his father in that aspect, the kid is never full.”

Jughead felt the familiar tug in his heart as he smiled fondly at the little boy before turning his eyes back to Betty
“And you? You’re eating enough?” His eyes bore into hers “I know that when you’re overwhelmed you sometimes.. you forget to eat.”

Betty swallowed, of course he remembered,

“Don’t worry about me.” She threw her hands lazily in the air.

Suddenly she felt familiar fingers wrap around her chin and stormy blue eyes met meadow green.

“Not a day goes by that I don’t worry about you, it doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing. I’ll always worry about you.” His voice was scratchy and thick with emotion.

“I know how that feels.” Betty whispered back, his face inching closer and closer, until their foreheads rested against each other and her eyelashes were brushing his. He inhaled shakily and cupped her cheeks with both of his hands, inhaling the familiar peaches and cream, that was purely Betty.

“Bets..” he whispered, pressing into her forehead

“Juggie” she breathed.

Their lips were moments away from touching before a tiny hand reached up and tugged on the denim of Jugheads jeans. Both the adults looked down at the smiling face of Hunter Jones.

“Hi.” His eyebrow was raised and it was abundantly clear who this child’s father was, Jughead reached down and lifted him onto his lap, smiling when the little boy cuddled into him instantly.

“Hi hunter. It’s nice to see you again.” He looked into the dark green eyes and knew right then and there that he would never let anything happen to his son, he would never leave his family again. No matter what.

“Hi” he repeated, resting his head on Jugheads chest.

“He likes you.” Betty’s soft voice came from his right.

“I love him” jughead cleared his throat, staring adoringly at the toddler who was dozing off on his chest and it all felt too natural.

“He’s just tired, last night was movie night. He doesn’t understand much of the movie but you can bet he stays up through them.” She snorted.

Jughead rubbed Hunters back and looked into Betty’s eyes
“What day is tonight?”

Betty rubbed her hands together and grinned
“Well Mr.Jones, tonight is pizza night. Our very favorite night.”

He smiled at her enthusiasm
“Sounds like fun.”

Betty bit her lip,
“You can come if you’d like. It might be good for Hunter to get to know you, that is if you’re staying.”

Squeezing the little boy with one arm, he reached his other to grip Betty’s hand

“I’m not going anywhere. Never again.”

Staring into each other’s eyes, years of hurt and pain and abandonment seeped through but one thing that was always constant was the love they shared. Sitting together on the park bench they looked like the kind of families you read about in Better Homes and Gardens magazine, what they didn’t know was that a storm was coming.

And he was taking no prisoners.

you're hcs are so cute im always waiting for the next post 💞 can u do a lil RFA + Saeran reacting to an MC who's happy most of the time but finds it draining and recharges by being really quiet and ignoring people? (This is the first time it happened lmao)

Ohhhh I’m totally like that! lol it’s not easy being an introvert, am I right?

Hope you like this:

RFA + Saeran with an introvert MC

Zen

  • It was after a premiere of one of his musicals, you were perfect back there!
  • You smiled to the photographers and even gave interviews, Zen didn’t have to do a thing, he just watched you being as good as him at this.
  • Then you two got home and he wanted to comment on everything, what you thought about the musical, if you liked the costumes, the songs and all.
  • “It was cool.” Oh… cool? That’s it?
  • Apparently it was, since you didn’t say anything else. You changed to your pajamas and grabbed a book to read in the living room.
  • He was tired, and also very worried. Was it that bad? If he knew you would hate that much, he would have get that another role… but… you sounded so excited before…
  • “Something wrong?” you ask him, now he notices he’s been staring at you for a while, to the point you let go of your book, concerned.
  • “I… don’t know. Is there something wrong, babe? What didn’t you like about the musical? The songs? The lines, I know it was a little cliché, but I thought it was interesting somehow and…”
  • “Zen, what are you talking about?” “It’s okay, babe. You hated the musical. “No, I didn’t.” “So why did you say it was cool?” “Because… it was cool?”
  •  “No, it wasn’t! You hate it! You pretended you enjoy to not make me look like a fool to the press, but you didn’t like it and now you won’t even talk to me about it! Was my acting bad?”
  • Okay, you’re tired, and normally you wouldn’t put up with this drama right now, but… look at him! He’s so worried and… hurt? This is painful to you too.
  • Then you explain about always being like this. You’re an introvert, you can handle a few good hours dealing with people, but after a while, you need a rest from all of this.
  • He totally understands. Sometimes he feels the same, but in a different proportion from you, of course.
  • “I’m sorry, babe. I’ll let you get back to your book, tomorrow you tell me what is it about, okay?” he kissed your forehead and let you with your book.
  • Maybe he can turn the story in it into a musical just for you?

Yoosung

  • It happened after a geek convention.
  • He thought you wouldn’t want to go with him, but the minute you walked in, he was the one dragged to every single stand.
  • You were so excited, taking pics with the cosplayers, buying doujinshis, even joining karaoke contests.
  • He swears he fell in love with you all over again. All the guys there wishe they had a girlfriend who likes these things as much as you do.
  • But as soon as you get home, you just grab your phone and stares at it like your life depends on it.
  • He asks what you want for dinner. “Whatever. You choose.”
  • Poor boy is remaking all his steps to know when he screwed up to get you mad. Was he too close to that girl with a very revealing cosplay?
  • Oh… he knew he should have joined you on a duet in the karaoke, but what can he do? He’s super shy!
  • He doesn’t even know where to start his apology, so he does what he knows best: omurice. With a “sorry” and a sad face made of ketchup.
  • “Why are you sorry?” you ask, concerned. “I… I don’t know.” Well… this isn’t going anywhere…
  • “I swear I had my hands behind my back the whole time with that cosplayer and… I’ll sing any duet you want to sing in the next con.”
  • “Oh… thank you, but you don’t have to if you’re not comfortable. It’s fine, honey.” “But… why are you mad, then?” “I’m not mad, I’m just…”
  • Oh… now you get it. POOR THING! You two never went to an event this big with these many people, so he didn’t know this little feature of yours.
  • And when you explain, he’s so relieved you’re not mad at him, and he totally understands, these things are pretty overwhelming for him as well.
  • You two eat the omurice together and lay on the bed a little later, you messing on your phone, he on his, and you both humming the same song, like a duet.

Jaehee

  • The cafe never been so crowded.
  • You two were taking orders, making coffee, checking the cashier, all at once.
  • If she had to do this by herself, she’s pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to handle, but having you smiling like you are in a parade or something gives her the strength she needs.
  • Seriously, you’re not even fazed, you keep smiling and being extra nice to even the most rude customers, and this makes her feel like she should keep up to you.
  • She closed the cafe with the deepest sigh she could give. Lord! This was tiring! What do you think? Oh… you’re already going away.
  • She finishes closing the store and reaches you in the sidewalk, almost panting.
  • You don’t even look at her, you keep looking forward with your arms crossed against your chest, as if you were… sad.
  • B-but why? Why would you be sad? What happened? Was that customer that rude to you? Oh… no, maybe it was that time when she yelled at you to get the mop to clean some coffee on the floor before one of you slipped.
  • She knew she was a little rude, but she was just caught up by all the mess inside the café, she didn’t want to be snappy at you or something.
  • But you don’t know that, so that’s why you’re walking like she’s not even beside you.
  • So he gives a few larger steps and stop in front of you. You look at her and blink in surprise. “Jaehee? What’s wrong?”
  • “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to be rude with you, I was just so busy!” she says hugging you. You immediately blush, she’s not one to PDA like this all of a sudden.
  • “I appreciate it, but… what are you sorry for, exactly?” “The mop…” “What happened to the mop?” she lets you go and you stare at each other, puzzled.
  • She explains everything, then you do the same. Well, she knew you had this tendency, but she haven’t witnessed before, so it was a little surprising to see you so quiet all of a sudden.
  • But as you two get home, she realizes some silence can be good after this long day. So she’s in the bedroom and you’re in the living room, you both reading books and recharging for what will be, hopefully, another long day tomorrow!

Jumin

  • You dropped by his office to lunch with him
  • Everybody in his company loves you, because if you showed up, Mr. Han will probably be in a good mood for the whole afternoon and work will be easy to handle.
  • So a few employees surround you, asking if you’re okay, if you need anything, how are the preps for the wedding. Just this small talk.
  • And you’re very polite and nice, so nobody ever feel uncomfortable on treating you this kindly.
  • When you finally are able to meet him in his office, he promptly goes to you and gives you a peck , which… you don’t respond too much.
  • “How is everything, my love?” “Fine.” And you give him this lazy smile, looking around everywhere in his office, except him.
  • Shit! He is late, isn’t he? And you’re probably furious because he always says you two will have a calm and nice meal and he never… wait! He’s on time!
  • So why are you mad about? Is it because you don’t want to have lunch in his company? Well, that can be arranged, he can call the chopper and take you somewhere. But you sounded excited over the phone, so something happened when you got here.
  • Hum, did one of his employees bother you? Yes, they can do that sometimes…
  • “Tell me who it was.” That’s all he says, while you stare at your plate. “Who what?” “Who bothered you? It was that blond girl from finance? She does have this tendency to be meddlesome. Don’t worry, my love, I’ll let HR know they need to have a little talk to her.”
  • “Oh my God, Jumin. Don’t fire her!” “So who should I fire?” “Nobody! Nobody bothered me!” “So why are you mad? Did I do something?” “No! Of course not, honey! And… who’s mad?”
  • “You? When you walked in?” Oh… yeah, that.
  • You explain to him that, as much as you enjoy talking to his employees, all the attention can be very draining sometimes and you just need a little time in silence to recharge.
  • He TOTALLY understands it, he even can relate. His acquaintances can be very tiring sometimes.
  • So yeah, a silent meal wouldn’t be that bad right now. You two can compensate with dinner in his penthouse when you’ll discus the wedding preparation, anyway.

Saeyoung

  • You were in a car show, he wanted your opinion on the next baby he should get
  • Though you don’t understand much about cars, you know his preferences pretty well by now, as he told you a lot about them. Seriously, a lot!
  • So you’re the one dragging him to the cars he might like, considering brand, model, color… yeah, he definitely likes it.
  • You have small talk with the models standing beside the cars and the sellers, and  he doesn’t know who is nicer here. Probably it’s you, since you’re not trying to sell a super pricy car, you’re just… naturally nice.
  • He wants a test drive to this particular car, and when he asks you while the seller is a little away to get the key, he asks what you think. “It’s nice.”
  • Well, he wouldn’t say it’s “nice”, it’s more like AMAZING, COOLLLLL, A SUPER FINE BABY! And you’re just: “okay, if you say so.” SHIT!
  • Are you mad? Why? You didn’t like being dragged here? But you sounded pretty excited before talking to the sellers… oh… the one who went to get the key was definitely trying to hit on you, you’re uncomfortable, ain’t you?
  • You two hop in the car and he starts driving, the seller keeps making small talk and you basically ignore everything that’s going on.
  • “So, what do you think?” the guy asks. “Can I have a moment alone with MY FIANCÉ so we can discuss this AS A COUPLE?” he emphasizes this words for the guy to take the hint you’re taken. “Yeah, sure.”
  • “Don’t worry. I won’t buy this one.” “Why not? You like it!” “If I decide to take it, we would have to sign the papers with that guy and I don’t want to let you even more uncomfortable with him.” “Why? He’s not that bad.”
  • “He’s not? But… why do you look like you want to throw up everytime he opens his mouth?” “Because he talks too much, but I’m not uncomfortable, I’m just… bored with all this useless small talk and his desperation to you buying the car.”
  • Yeah, the guy is a little annoying, being nice to him was a burden for Saeyoung too. You’re always very nice, but he knows by now this can tire you a lot.
  • And hey, he totally can relate, that’s why sometimes all he needs is his headphones and a super loud music to recover himself.
  • So he takes the car, he liked it and wanted to take you out of there soon so you could relax.
  •  The way home is quiet, you two are listening to the radio, not talking, just holding hands.

Saeran

  • His first RFA party.
  • It was so crowded! He was a little intimidated and anxious, dealing with big noisy crowds was still a journey to him.
  •  But a few reassuring kisses from you everytime you passed by him between small talk with guests here and there, and he felt he could handle this.
  • Hell, you don’t even need to look at him, just seeing you smiling and talking to the guests as if they’re close friends totally make him feel he got this!
  • And he did, it wasn’t that bad after all, thanks to you.
  • He went to your place after the party. It was comfortable being around you, but he was still nervous, facing a crowd like that felt less nerve wracking than being alone with you.
  • Okay, you telling him to make himself at home and just plopping in the couch to watch TV wasn’t what he was expecting.
  • I mean, he didn’t know what to expect, but… it wasn’t this, for sure.
  • It’s almost like you forgot he’s here. Like you are… ignoring him? Why?
  • Did he do something wrong? Oh, that rich dude said PDA was unprofessional, but he thought you didn’t give a damn to what Jumin said.
  •  Did he do something wrong? But he was pretty sure he was doing good tonight. Wasn’t he?
  • “I’m going now.” He said bluntly, heading to the door. “What? Why?” you jumped off the couch, going after him “I won’t bother you any longer, don’t worry.” “Bother me? But…”
  • “I’m such an idiot! I screwed up, didn’t I?” “No! You were amazing tonight!” he blushes a little. “Yeah, that’s what I thought, but why are you ignoring me, then?”
  • Oh, this poor thing… you explain to him how hard it is to just recover from all the agitation and you need some time to just stay quiet.
  •  I mean… you’re preaching to the choir here, he definitely feels the same way, he was so nervous about having to be all lovey dovey with you, he’s relieved this won’t be necessary.
  • But he definitely didn’t complain when he woke up cuddling with you in the couch. Just sleeping was a greeeat idea, after all.

KAI PARKER X READER

Blood

Desc: Kai’s father kidnaps reader, causing Kai to burst into a frantic, bloody, and violent rage as he does everything he can to protect you.

She woke up in the back of his trunk, hands bound with cloth, hair sprawled around her precious face. She blinked her bright eyes open and rolled to her side, the pain that seared through her like hot red fire. She was wearing the same outfit of that as when she’d been knocked out by Joshua parker, a black tee and dark skinnies. She began to kick into the trunk, screaming out, not for herself, but for him.

“KAI!” She screeched in desperation, unable to break the magically sealed binds on her wrists.

It had been early nightfall when Kai’s father had come after her. She’d been able to catch only a moment’s peace with her treasured heretic before a bright blast had hit her in the back, and she’d crumpled onto the floor, the last sound she heard being Kai’s voice crying her name. She knew why Joshua had kidnapped her; it was the only way he could get Kai, and end him once and for all. Now it was dark out, probably around midnight, she presumed from the stars in the pitch black sky.

Suddenly, the car trunk was thrown open, shimmering rays of silver moonlight illuminating her saviors face.

“Kai,” she choked.

His hands were drenched in fresh ruby red blood, big blue eyes lacking their usual glow, lips bent downwards in such a way that the goofball she’d gotten to know seemed almost unrecognizable. His white tee was torn and covered in dirt, long arms stretching into the trunk as he grasped her curled and feeble form in his strong hold.

“Oh god, oh god,” he whispered frantically, more to himself than her. He scooped her bridal style into his arms, eyes flickering across her confused face. His slender fingers came up to brush a stray strand of hair back behind her ears, whispering an incantation under his breath that melted the binds on her wrists.

“I’m okay,” she reassured him as he gingerly set her on her feet and onto the soil.

“This is all my fault,” he breathed, hands cupping at her face, tears coming to his eyes. “Y/N, please, run.”

“I’m not leaving you,” she protested, locking her fingers around his, eyebrows furrowed.

“Now would be a good time to say your goodbye’s,” a voice said from behind her.

Joshua Parker stood with his right hand raised, the left side of his face bruised up from where she assumed Kai had hit him. The look in his eyes was dark and cold, he had no regret for what he was going to do to his own son, nor what he had done in the past. The green grass seemed to droop where he walked, an aura of relentless hatred around his body.

Kai spun away from her at once, eyes locking on his father, his hands raising in front of her like a shield, silver rings glinting under the starlight.

“Don’t you dare touch her,” he growled, his voice dropping low, expression hardening. “Or I swear, I will gladly rip your throat out and tear you apart limb from limb.” Kai’s jaw was set, eyes hooded, and something about the way he spoke and held himself almost scared her, he never acted like this.

His father raised an eyebrow and took a step forward, eyes landing on the girl.

“Ka-” she began.

But in another moment she was thrown forward, her body ragdolling as she went soaring through the air and crumbling onto the ground at Joshua’s feet. A searing pain burst through her arm, and she went rolling onto her side, vision momentarily going black. Joshua parker raised a finger and drew a slit in the air, which began to slice a long red mark across her pale cheeks. Kai leapt forward, her name tumbling off his lips as he dashed into an invisible wall that held him back from her. An orange glow appeared as he began to siphon the magic, but it was so slow that nothing seemed to happen.

“Fool,” his father spat. “I didn’t want to kill you, that would be too kind. So instead you’ll watch as I take the one thing from your life that brought you happiness.”

He drew another slice in the air, now cutting down the flesh of her stomach, and she screamed out in agony as blood spilled across her front and over her trembling hands, tears flooding down her cheeks as Kai screamed out in anguish, his hands clawing at the barrier, knees shaking as he sobbed at the sight of her, looking more broken than ever.

“Please, PAPA!” Kai begged, so scared and fragile, just like the boy who had once been abused and isolated by everyone he loved.

She stretched an arm across the grass, fingertips touching the invisible shield. She was too weak to talk, but her fingers spread across the wall, he knew exactly what she wanted to say.

“Don’t,” he cried, raising his palm against the other side, fingers spreading out against hers, lower lip trembling as his own tears travelled across them.

She gasped out, body convulsing suddenly, the blood draining from her body and onto the grass. She gave a feeble smile to him, unable to utter how much she loved him in any other way.

All at once, where their fingers touched, the invisible barrier began to crack, shattering into a thousand pieces as it disintegrated under their contact. Kai stared in awe as the spell melted into his skin, his eyes closing as the magic flooded into his system like a drug. His fingers traced patterns across her flesh, wounds closing at once, the electricity from his magic sending electrical currents into her healed body. He stood up, eyes fluttering open as he cracked his neck with a faint smirk. His father stared in disbelief, taking a step back when he realized his defense system was down. Joshua gulped down the nervous lump in his throat as Kai approached him slowly, lips splitting into a twisted grin. Kai lifted two of his fingers into the air, and his father began to rise from the ground, panic spreading across his features. Kai released him at just the position where he wouldn’t die, but would instead be filled with intense agony.

“How does that feel, papa?” he asked, snapping his father’s legs with a flick of his wrist. He twisted his fingers, and blood went exploding from his father’s body and onto Kai’s front, to which Kai chuckled, drunk off the rush.

Joshua screamed out in pain, his voice filling the empty night, begging Kai to let him live.

“Kai, stop,” she gasped, watching in horror as he assumed an identity so unlike his own. She dragged herself off the earth and onto her feet, eyes pleading with his own.

Kai froze, dark glare softening under her gaze, “he tried to hurt you, and anyone who tries to lay so much as a finger on you deserves worse than death,” he snarled.

She grabbed his wrists before he could turn away, defiant as she grasped him tightly.

“You’re better than him,” she stated.

Kai tried to turn his head away, unable to resist her control, but she forced his jaw back to hers.

“Hey, hey, look at me,” she commanded.

Kai’s teeth gritted together as he blinked through his long lashes with a shake of his head.

“You’re better,” she whispered softly.

She brought him back down from his craze, and Kai sighed, his shoulders relaxing, full lips parting as he went to speak.

Suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she made out Joshua parker, raising his arm to give one final move before he collapsed for good. He coughed out a spell, and Kai’s ears began to ring, hands flying to his temples as he crumpled to the ground from the noise flooding his body. The girl caught Kai’s body as he sunk to the dirt and cried out, his blue eyes pained as they held to hers, and in the second where she saw him like that, where she was unable to do anything but watch him die, she understood.

“GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HIM!” she snarled and dashed over to Kai’s father, arm swinging out as she dove towards his crumpled form. Her fist went smashing into his jaw, which cracked under the force, blood exploding across her knuckles. She slammed her fist in one more time for good measure, heart racing as Joshua Parker went still under her blow. She didn’t even care when his eyes met with hers before glazing over, she didn’t care when his heart failed to beat, nor when his body went still.

“Y/N,” Kai’s voice was distant as he pulled himself up to approach her.

She breathed heavily, hair all across her eyes as she stared in disbelief at her bloodied hands. She spun around, eyes locking with Kai’s blue ones. He looked at her with bewilderment, which was fair enough considering he’d never seen her act this way.

“Are you going to make me apologize,” she murmured, voice low. “Because I am sorry, but not for what I did to him. I’m sorry I let you let him live another second.”

Kai was close to her now, eyes flickering across her dark facial expression, wanting to feel scared or sad because of her newfound rage, but with blood on her hands and black in her eyes, he just couldn’t stop himself. His hands grabbed at her cheeks, forcing her face into his as her lips went crashing against his own. Her hands came up against his jaw, and both of them groaned softly against each other’s mouths as their bloody hands left red across their faces.

“I’ve never felt more scared of anything than I have about losing you,” her voice cracked as she pulled back, nose squishing against his. “I love you so so much Malachai Parker,” her face softened, eyes glistening with tears. “I don’t want you to think I’m a bad person, I just-” she stumbled softly.

He pecked at her lips, bringing his bloodied fingers to her cheek and drawing a crimson heart on her flesh.

“Love makes us do crazy things,” he finished.

This is a tad long but music is the air I breathe so yeah I got excited and couldn’t contain myself haha! Also I hope you don’t mind that I combined these two asks, I thought it was interesting for them to feel neglected and threatened by Archie and Veronica at the same time!! Hope you both like it and thank you so so much for your amazing words and compliments!! It really means the world to me!! Enjoy!! <333

You’ve seen Radiohead at Madison Square Garden?!” the raven haired boy’s eyes became perfect round balls of genuine admiration and his lips parted in a disbelieving gasp.

“Yep!” the brunette girl across him pointed the ‘p’ proudly, smiling fondly at the memory. “Listening to Creep in a sea full of people that was chanting along, with phone screens like twinkle lights swaying in the darkness above us is something that still gives me chills.” She admitted with a shine of excitement on her chocolate eyes.

“Man!” he huffed in defeat. “That band and in that iconic venue, I’m telling you Ronnie, I’m forever envious of you now.” He admitted with a shake of his head and a smirk, the girl smirking back.

“The next year I was going to see Depeche Mode there too but” her face formed an unladylike flinch “all those things went down with my dad and, well, the rest is history.” She shrugged and sighed, taking a rich sip of her chocolate milkshake.

With a dreamy expression, he dropped back on his seat. “I’m betting Sinner In Me would sound amazing live.” He nearly gasped.

She widened her eyes. “Right?! God, I love this song so much!” she groaned in delight.

“It’s one of my favorites too.” He agreed with a nod and drumming fingers, lightly imitating the tune.

And just like that, another day in the exclusive world of Jughead Jones and Veronica Lodge was slowly passing by. Betty Cooper, who was sitting next to the tall boy all this time, the Betty Cooper that chatted and babbled away for days when she was with friends, hadn’t even formed a single word since Veronica came to join the newly formed couple. No, scratch that. Betty hadn’t formed a word this whole week now, the week that the three of them seemed to be inseparable. She just seemed to just sit there and observe, like she was the third wheel to a closed group of longtime friends.

“No, you didn’t!”  Connor yelled as you told him about the details of your day. Felix on the other hand was laughing so hard he turned red and was curled up on the floor.

“What’s so funny?” You laughed along with them, taking a sip of Felix’s famous martinis. Living next door to a bartender that also happened to be your close friend pays off.

“You made him cum his pants on the third date, how lovely.” Felix laughed.“ I’m just surprised you’re even going through with this whole ordeal.”

“I am too. I don’t know what happened today, I felt so…” you trailed as you tried to find the right words to describe what you felt in that moment.

“Dominant and sexy?” Connor smirked as he took a sip of his own drink.

“Yeah…”

“Trust me, I know. I’ve loved the feeling from the first time and still do four years later.”

This caused you to widen your eyes in shock as Felix’s face flushed red. You shifted your eyes from him to Connor who still held a smug look on his face and back to Felix once again.

New Family - Requested

Requested by @tanovic54321 :  Can u do a fluff Sherlock imagine where his gf accompanies him to a family thing & she brings her sons for the first time his family (& him)meet them & slowly people realizes that the two little boys are tiny versions of Sherlock & Mycroft?

Pairing: Sherlock x reader.

Word count: 1,169

Warnings: This is mostly focused on the kids.

A/N: As someone who has lived this kind of situation (as in the kid’s point of view) I figured it would be too much to have many people there, so I reduced it a bit.

Enjoy!

It was a big step – a huge step, more likely – for Sherlock and (Y/N)’s relationship. They never expected to get that far and so they decided to keep the kids out of it.

She had two young boys, smart and sympathetic, highly functional kids. Sherlock knew about them and even liked them in spite of having met them only two or three times maximum.

“Are you sure about this?” She stuttered. They were outside her home and the kids were inside. Sherlock wanted to take them all to a family thing.

“Of course I’m sure,” Sherlock assured, acting offended by the question. “I’ve never been more sure in my life.”

“I’m sure the correct word is ‘surer’, Sher.” (Y/N) chuckled.

“Surer sounds stupid.” Sherlock beamed, “Now call the boys and let’s go.”

(Y/N) hesitated but eventually called them. Sherlock noticed how the oldest one was clearly bigger than the other, not only in height but also he was chubbier. The younger one had a curly mess on his head, and he seemed to be skinnier and shyer.

“Michael, Shepherd, remember Mister Holmes?” (Y/N) asked as she pushed the two boys out.

“How do you do?” They both asked in mechanical voices.

“Nice to see you again, lads.” Sherlock greeted back.

“Mommy, is he going to take us to jail?” Shepherd, the younger, inquired.

“No, not at all,” Sherlock replied.

“Obviously,” Michael snapped, “he only takes criminals to jail. If you knew how to properly read, you’d know.”

“Enough, Michael.” (Y/N) warned. The kid shut his mouth but he kept the superiority pose.

“Where are we going, Mister Holmes?” Shepherd continued.

“I’m taking you to my country house to meet my parents and my brother,” Sherlock explained calmly.

“Why?” Shepherd asked.

“Because he’s mommy’s new boyfriend!” Michael huffed.

Shepherd gasped and tried to act surprised. Before (Y/N) could reply, Shep punched Michael’s arm.

“We had to keep it secret!” Shepherd cried.

“Enough!” (Y/N) split them. “Are you sure you want to take them?”

Sherlock giggled warmly. “Yes, my mother will love them.”

anonymous asked:

Please, 79 with Jungkook

Prompt request: “You’re hot, shame about the personality.”

Pairing: Jungkook/Reader

Genre: Fluff

Summary: You and Jungkook get off on the wrong foot…but everything works out just fine.

Word Count: 877 words

You curled further into the warmth of Jungkook’s body, head resting on your boyfriend’s muscular arm. A cool breeze shifted through the open field, and you shivered in the cold, evening air. Jungkook wrapped his arm around your shoulders, his heat seeping into your skin.

As you glanced at the stars glistening in the clear night sky above you, a soft sigh escaped your lips.

“I still can’t believe we’re going to be so far apart,” you whispered with a sad smile. You played with Jungkook’s hand–the one that wasn’t holding your shoulder–tracing the protruding veins that travelled all the way down his forearm. “This is our last weekend together.”

“The distance will be difficult, but it won’t be impossible,” Jungkook replied, craning his head to press a kiss to the top of your head. “We both got into our top choices, and it’s gonna be a great opportunity for both of us.”

“I know,” you said, trying to memorize every single detail of Jungkook that you had taken for granted in your years together. “I’m excited for university, but I just wish we could have stayed together.”

Jungkook ran his fingers through your hair comfortingly. A silence settled between the two of you, punctuated by the ambient noise of the small town around you.

“Hey, remember the first time we met?” Jungkook asked suddenly, his voice light with laughter. “Who would’ve thought we would end up dating?”

You laughed with Jungkook, smiling up at him. “How could I forget?”

◅◅   Two years ago  ◅◅

The bell rang, signalling the start of another school day–only, today was different. A transfer student stood at the front of the class, which was an oddity in your small town. All of the other sophomore students sat at the edge of their seats, trying to get a glimpse at the boy whose head was ducked.

“Everyone, we have a new student today. His name is Jungkook,” your teacher introduced, her peppy voice even more excited than usual. “Please treat him kindly and help him as much as you can.”

Finally, the boy looked up, showing the class more than just a head of black hair. And when he did, the girls gasped and blushed.

The boy, Jungkook, who stood at the front of the class was incredibly cute. You could understand the reactions of the girls around you.

He had defined features–a strong nose, wide eyes, sharp eyebrows, and pretty lips. But he had a cold and guarded expression, still refusing to meet anyone’s eyes.

“Where should I sit?” Jungkook asked, his voice sweet and smooth.

“There’s an empty spot there,” the teacher said, pointing to where you were sitting at the very back of the classroom. A few girls turned to look at you sharply, jealousy burning in their eyes. You wanted to laugh at them.

Jungkook sauntered down the rows of desks, eventually stopping at where you were sitting. You smiled up at him as he set his backpack down, but he just regarded you cooly.

“Hi! Nice to meet you. I’m Y/N,” you said, mostly to ease the awkwardness and make Jungkook feel a little more comfortable. He said nothing as he slipped into the seat beside yours. “So…what brought you to this little town? We never get any new students here!”

“It’s none of your business,” Jungkook snapped, slamming his binder on his desk. The people around you jumped in surprise at Jungkook’s harsh tone. “I’d like to pay attention, so if you don’t mind.”

Your mouth set itself into a deep frown, and you glared at the new boy beside you. It was then that you decided you hated Jungkook. “You’re hot,” you began, your words laced with venom. “Shame about the personality.”

▻▻   Present    ▻▻

“You were such an asshole!” you exclaimed, hitting Jungkook lightly against his chest. He laughed and swatted your hand way.

“I was nervous,” Jungkook corrected, nipping your ear in retaliation. “I was so overwhelmed! Everyone was staring at me and I just flipped out.”

“Yeah,” you agreed, “at me. And I wasn’t even drooling over you like everyone else!”

“You were, a little bit,” Jungkook snickered. “Don’t be embarrassed–I thought you were cute, too.”

You squeaked in protest, shooting up from where you were lying down. You looked down at Jungkook, who had changed so much from the first time you had met him. The boy you thought was rude turned out to become the kindest, most charming person you had ever known. But even now, you could still see the nervous, insecure boy that Jungkook once was.

You knew he had to be just as afraid as you were.

“I guess if we could make it past those terrible first impressions, we can get through anything,” you smiled, leaning down to press a gentle kiss against Jungkook’s familiar lips. He lifted his hands and cupped your jaw, keeping you in place as he deepened the kiss.

Eventually, the two of you separated, blushing and short of breath.

“You know, I love you, Y/N,” Jungkook said, his eyes shining in the pale light of the night sky. “Nothing will ever change that.”

“I know,” you breathed, getting lost in the depths of his eyes. “And I love you, too.”

You rolled your eyes at the blonde haired boy in front of you. You crossed your arms, leaning all your weight on your right foot.

“Newt, I still don’t understand why I can’t be a runner.” You complained, watching as the boy sighed in frustration. He was getting real tired of this conversation. You knew that, but you were too stubborn to give up.

“(Y/N), I’ve told you a thousand times! It’s too dangerous for you! There’s things beyond that wall that you’re not prepared for!” Newt stressed. You frowned a bit at his words.

“But Newt-” You started, but got cut off by a different male voice coming from behind you.

“Newt’s right, (Y/N). It’s too dangerous for you out there. You’re better off being a Med-Jack where we know you’re safe.” Minho spoke, clasping a hand on your shoulder, giving it a small squeeze. Thomas appeared next to you, nodding his heads at Minho’s words.

This time it was you who sighed in frustration. You knew there was no winning with these boys. You loved that they cared so much about you, but they were babying you. You weren’t as fragile and weak as they thought you were. You wanted to prove your worth to them, but every time you tried, you got shot down.

You shook Minho’s hand off of your shoulder before walking out into the Glade, not looking behind you.
