the book of enchantments

Something there

The most beautiful things in this remake are costume and scenic design: i would love live in that castle, even if is dark and ruined, and the yellow dress is amazing. SOme friend tell me that the beast i draw is too kawaii, and resemble my beloved husband, i tell him and he was pretty proud about, maybe because this is the scene where we can clarely understan that there is love and understanding. And afterall i always prefer the beast than the prince ahahah

the signs as fairy tale aesthetics
  • aries: stolen treasures, flashing swords and thunderstorms
  • taurus: wild woods, hidden curses and fur gowns
  • gemini: gingerbread cottages, wildflowers, and potion vials
  • cancer: glass slippers, enchanted springs and gemstones
  • leo: sleeping dragons, secret keys and gold crowns
  • virgo: pressed flowers, wild hair and fairy wings
  • libra: ermine trim, magic mirrors and a throne
  • scorpio: eternal love, haunted forests and crushed velvet
  • sagittarius: red roses, magic lamps and a castle steeped in fog
  • capricorn: swan feathers, ice palaces and a string of pearls
  • aquarius: leather-bound spell-books, wooden cabins and mason jars
  • pisces: mermaid tails, crescent moons and a raging sea

//takes a deep breath

ARTHUR WEASLEY IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED CHARACTERS IN THE SERIES AND CERTAINLY THE MOST UNDERRATED OF HARRY’S FATHER FIGURES ok this man:

  • is so passionate about his job and supporting muggle rights that he doesn’t give two shits abt his reputation as a blood traitor even tho it’s apparently the reason he never got promoted at the ministry
  • wrote the book on why u should not enchant muggle objects and literally has a shed full of flying vehicles and shit that he hopes his wife doesn’t find out about??? lmao what a rebel?? i love this guy
  • was concerned about harry before he even met him because ron was worried that he wasn’t responding to letters and when harry came to stay he totally could have been like ‘shit another mouth to feed’ but was really really happy that harry was there and safe??? ‘pls sit next to me at dinner, child, i need to ask you ten thousand questions about muggles’
  • like he was actually the first adult ever besides maybe hagrid to sit there and ask for harry’s opinions and recognize that he had knowledge and thoughts to offer im crying
  • fixed harry’s glasses for him after they broke in the floo ;-;
  • gave zero fucks about what everyone else thought should be done and told harry about sirius black bc he wanted this kid to be aware and safe as possible??
  • dragged the dursleys for not treating their nephew like a human being (and destroyed their living room what a great moment tbh)
  • gives advice that harry remembers years later bc he respects this kind ginger man so much ‘don’t trust something that can think for itself if u can’t see where it keeps its brain’
  • (lol remember that one time molly was upset about death eaters at the quidditch world cup and he made her some tea and then was like ‘i think this needs some whiskey too trust me i’m a doctor’)
  • agreed that harry should be told certain things about the resistance because he knew harry was competent and intelligent enough to handle it but like also kept in mind that harry was a kid in the middle of a war
  • took harry to work with him and made sure he got to his hearing on time and distracted him and ‘smiled at him encouragingly’ when he knew he was nervous im dying this was so sweet
  • was part of the group who threatened the dursleys to keep their hands and shitty attitudes away from harry and he was so ‘light’ and ‘pleasant’ abt it omg this dude was throwing so much shade
  • was ready to fight scrimgeour with remus when the minister wanted to get harry alone and harry had to be like ‘omfg stand down pls’
  • ‘am i about to discover where you, ron, and hermione disappeared to while you were supposed to be in the back room of fred and george’s shop?’ … ‘how did you-?’ …  ‘harry, please. you’re talking to the man who raised fred and george’
  • never raised his voice except for that one time he told a fully trained auror to back the hell off and get out of his way so he could see his injured son and harry literally thought ‘holy shit’ it says so right there in the book u can check
  • fought in the battle of hogwarts and after fred and harry had been killed he went into full on rage mode and teamed up with percy to fuck up the minister for magic
  • owns chickens

bonus:

‘madame delacour glided forward and stooped to kiss mrs. weasley too. “enchanteé,” she said. “your ‘usband ‘as been telling us such amusing stories!” mr. weasley gave a maniacal laugh; mrs. weasley threw him a look, upon which he became immediately silent and assumed an expression appropriate to the sickbed of a close friend.’

THIS IS NOT A DRILL

Post-BATB Headcannons *warning: spoilers*

Feel free to add on!

• With the help of Adam, Belle is able to pass laws enforcing equal education for girls and boys in the village.

• She also offers free tutoring sessions for anyone who finds themselves struggling, and organizes weekly bookclubs for kids to share and discuss their favorite stories.

• Adam places a statue of a Beast outside the castle, as a reminder.

• Adam and Belle are always there for each other when it comes to the death of their mothers and are surprised at how easy it is for them to open up to one another.

• Madame and Maestro use the enchanted book to travel through Europe, performing at all the famous concert halls.

• Madame becomes the greatest fashion icon to ever grace the stage, and her outfits become a hit with many of the towns that they tour.

• Mr. and Mrs. Cogsworth constantly invite a very reluctant Lumière and Plumette on double dates that they don’t really want to go on but get roped into anyway.

• Sometime between the transformation and the final scene LeFou goes to apologize to Maurice for lying about whether Gaston had left him to be eaten by the wolves or not.

• Maurice immediately forgives him, saying that he understands how difficult it must’ve been to be put in that situation given the hold Gaston had had on him and that all that matters is, when it came down to it, LeFou made the choice, for himself, to do the right thing.

• Belle overhears all of this and begins to grow closer to LeFou, impressed with the courage he displayed.

• She helps him learn to read, and Adam occasionally comes to join in on their lessons, finding LeFou a very pleasant and enjoyable company who’s able to put him in a good mood.

• Adam asks Maurice to paint a giant mural on one of the walls of the West Wing, and Maurice happily accepts.

• Every night, Belle reads a bedtime story to Chip, the two making a ritual out of it.

• Mr. and Mrs. Potts think that it’s precious.

• Adam stands firm with his position on Romeo and Juliet until Belle takes him to see the actual play performed live.

• He sobs. Violently.

• When Lumière and Plumette eventually get married, Madame gives the most dramatic, extra, Oscar-winning-performence maid of honor speech that you have ever heard.

• Side note, Plumette had never actually mentioned anything to Madame about her being her maid of honor.

• LeFou and Stanley start bumping into each other more after having danced together at the ball, but these meeting are often brief and a little awkward as both are too unsure about how the other feels to take things to the next level.

• Belle and Mrs. Potts (who is still grateful that LeFou saved her life) see what’s going on and try to give them a push.

• Lumière, romantic that he is, helps out with this too, but unfortunately has to cancel the plans he had had with Cogsworth and his wife to do so.

• It works, and LeFou and Stanley fall in love.

• Mrs. Potts is just glad he finally found someone better than Gaston.

• Mr. Potts takes over running Gaston’s tavern. He and Mrs. Potts and her tea become the beverage-serving power couple of their town.

• The castle begins hosting events again, but, this time, everyone is invited (rich or poor).

• Adam does indeed grow a beard.

  • the waterfalls have stopped working. you seem them in the distance, still, unmoving. you can hear the crashing of the water, but it is frozen in place. the locals do not notice.
  • you open a book. restoration increased to 100. you open another book. enchanting increased to 100. you spend only a few minutes in this library, and leave as an all-powerful being.

Enchanting a pendant to show someone's true self

Very straight forward. This is a spell to enchant a pendant so that the person wearing it will reveal their true inner self (thoughts/actions) to others.

Things needed:

•Black candle
•Pendant
•Intentions written on paper (in your own words)
•Black string
•Box to put pendant in (cleansed)
•Scissors or something that can cut string

Directions:

**Cleanse pendant and box before or during ritual

1.Cast a circle

2. Cleanse pendant and box if needed

3.Light candle

4. Read intentions from paper while dripping candel wax on paper

5.Start chant

6.while chanting wrap the black string around paper with wax (not cooled completely) and pendant to bind your intentions to the pendant

7. When you feel like it is bound completely place the pendant in the box

8. blow out candle and close circle

9. Leave pendant in box for a week or longer

10. When you are ready to give it to someone or wear it cut the sting and take the string and paper off. By now the intentions would be soaked into pendant and the string and paper can be discarded

Chant:

The wearer of this pendant could be most divine

Or the wearer could be serpentine

Either way it’s not left to chance

The wearers inner self is out to dance

Others will see your true form bloom

There is no hiding behind your costume

When the traits are to be admire

Other can show their desire

When the traits are that of detest

Others around will not be impressed

There it is and there it shall be

Let the true self come out of thee
