Every time I see that new official art where Victor and Yuuri are training in Russia this….. thing pops into my head

When they first get there Yuuri is like “are you gonna give me a tour?” And Victor is like “sure!” He then shows Yuuri around the entire building, starting from the locker rooms, going through the hallways with him and showing the small restaurant/cafe where all the skaters eat when they train for hours and hours a day.

Then Victor pulls him to a dark hallway somewhere deep in the building, presses him against the wall and kisses him so hard because “you’re here. You’re here living with me, training with me. I’m so happy.” It gets kinda hot and heavy until after like 10 minutes they can hear Yakov yelling their names somewhere in the distance. They pull away from each other, huge grins on their faces and Yuuri is blushing a little. Victor drops his head on Yuuri’s shoulder, breathing heavy and he’s like “do we have to go there? Can’t I just take you home?”

Yuuri chuckles, gently wraps an arm around his neck and says “I want to test the ice and I wanna see you skate here. I’ve seen videos from your practices but I want to actually see you here in your home rink.” And then Victor blushes because !!!! And he kisses his fiancée one last time, a gentle peck on his lips before leading him back to the rink where all the other skaters and a very pissed Yakov is waiting, complaining about how Victor was supposed to quickly show Yuuri around and it’s been over an hour!  Victor and Yuuri just smile at him as Yuuri apologizes for being late.

Georgi is probably looking at them with hearteyes because “ah, that young love” And Mila is grinning knowingly at them, giving them a thumbs up from behind Yakov’s back

You can find all parts on to read in HQ but you need an account or just sign in with your twitter. Please try to read on even though you might find it to be a hassle to get an account or a twitter because its worth it since its such an old series we had bad scans and horrible translations for certain parts and it’s all only gotten fixed recently and can all be found on batoto. Plus theres coloured pages for almost the entire series too!

A thing to note:

Part 1 isn’t the best part. It’s not bad imo, I like it a lot but it’s dull compared to the rest. If you can find it appealing on even the most basic level, stick with it until it finishes. It’s only about 10 episodes anyways. Part 2 is when most people get seriously into it. I’ve even seen people say they didn’t enjoy it a lot until part 4 so try to keep at it if you enjoy it but don’t love it. I’d say if you completely hate part 1 and can’t go on, it’s probably not a series for you.

blakkats as Mai

fyeahpolarshipping as Joey

I loved this session so much, but the best part, imo (and no offence to any one else in any other part) was when the party was stalking Rick (who was still in smelly ol’ Lone Wolf Mode) in the park, and had to hide from him when he turned around. The 4′4″ dwarven bard got like a 5, and ended up basically hiding like this

and getting spotted, meanwhile, her BODYGUARD, a 6ft+ halforc fighter, got a nat20 and basically hid like this behind some not-too-huge rocks

Rent Moments You May Have Missed: Everybody’s reactions during the beginning of Take Me or Leave Me”

Featuring Collins’ unimpressed face, Mark’s dramatic eyeroll, Roger just trying to eat, and Mimi

Imo the best part in any of the Harry Potter books was the quidditch commentary

Like you either have Lee Jordan being hilarious and fabulous or you’ve got Luna telling you to look at the clouds. Win-win situation

third person closed narrative is the best imo. all of the good parts of 1st person (the author being able to present u with only select information, basically) but without all the bad parts (everything else). omniscent is ok but feels impersonal to the degree of alienation to me lol

yes agree!!! i love love close third person. and omniscient if it’s done well. i don’t even know why it makes such a difference to me but it does like instantly replacing ‘I’ with ‘he/she/they’ makes me enjoy the story so much more

that's the best part about thorin imo, he's really tough in the movies but richard armitage did a great job letting you also see his vulnerability and humanizing him (and his life and situation is so tragic i just feel sad for him, not condemnatory)

ah yes!!! richard’s acting and personal character development (i mean he wrote an in character diary for christs sake….) did a lot to help flesh out thorin as a round character in the movies

plus all of the interview stuff about him, you get a better feel for thorin. hes not a bad person or a mean person or greedy, but he is someone who has lost almost everything (his home, many of his people, most of his family….) and i think thats made him harder? hes kinda bitter towards the world because of that and the way his people are treated

but then you see how he cares for others. like i know people seem to think his decision to leave kili behind is harsh but it makes sense (you really want an injured/sick person exerting themselves further? kili likely would have died if he hadnt stayed behind js). and how soft he is with bilbo.

just. i dont understand how people think hes like how he is under the gold sickness… because auj!thorin and even dos!thorin dont act like that at all and you see his true self at the end of botfa..

HECK NOT TO MENTION HOW DWALIN REACTS TO THORIN WHILE IN EREBOR. its pretty clear dwalin is his best friend, someone he has spent a good deal of his time with… and thats not the thorin he knows

im just. i love thorin. hes such a complex and soft character…. i wanted so much for for him

And… now I’m rummaging through my story drawing folders and thinking about all the story ideas I came up but never put down to words. This is one of the good ones. This is concept art for a Sesskag AU spin story based on an old Chinese fairy tale and movie.

The tale here isn’t exactly fairy. It’s a revenge story. The main character is the son of a governor, whose family is massacred by a gang of assassins because they happened to hold a treasure. The son escaped death on mere luck and tried to seek revenge on the assassins who killed his family.

The son seeked out a famed doctor and had his face transfigured into a new one so that he could pursue his enemy in secret. he looked far and hard and after many years arrived at the Southern citadel. There, he met a woman, fell in love with her and married her.

Ironically, he woman he loved was actually one of the assassins. After many years of bloodshed and killing, the assassin regretted her crimes and wanted to live a normal life. She too found the same doctor and got her new face from him.

These two lived with each other as husband and wife for many years until the truth came out.

This was actually a pretty mediocre story in the ghost story staples of China, but funnily, in 2010 , John Woo decided to make it into a movie (named Reign of Assassins, starring Michelle Yeoh). I went to see it and got a big surprise. The movie changed many aspects of the original story, giving soul and depth to the characters and really made me think about it. It also incorporated many other Chinese folktales ( The killing bride, death powder, one of the many myths of the Bhodi who visitted China, etc…)

The best part of it, imo, was the incorporation of a Buddhist love story into the plot. The story is about Buddha’s disciple who fell in love with a beautiful woman. Buddha asked him:

“How much do you love her?”

And the disciple answered:

“I would turn into a stone bridge… and endure five hundred years of wind, five hundred years of sun, and five hundred years of rain. I would only ask that she walk over that bridge.”

This story within a story became the emotional focal point of the movie and changed the ending. Instead of the tragic ending, the couple managed to overcome their grudge and their bloody past.

A revenge story became a love story. An old tale made new.

I decided that I liked it so much that I wanted to draw something inspired by it.

The above scene is a depiction of their marriage: Sesshomaru wearing Inuyasha mask and Kagome wearing Kikyo mask. All the things that they built together were lies, but somehow their feeling for each other remained the only truthful thing. That’s why Sess is reaching out for Kagome, almost like he’s about to take off her mask, but also like he’s afraid… what’s behind it? The future? Nothing?

The red sash between them is an old Asian symbol of marriage and love.

I never wrote it into a story. I never had the time. I was super busy back then, having only just become a journalist and spent much of my time on the road hunting for news. This is… bringing back a lot of memories…
