Eve and Persephone met,
and it was the dynamic duo of the century.
Eve and the apple that cursed so much like
Snow White’s fairy tale, only there was no
prince on a white horse here. There was just
a bite mark in the shape of a heart. A loose
tooth breaking free, falling to the ground,
leaving Eve with a bloody mouth and a taste
that could only be mistaken for freedom.
Persephone and her pomegranate, the juice
down her chin, how easily it could have been
mistaken for the fresh blood of an animal.
Instead of breadcrumbs, she tossed the
pigeons seeds, bloated them full of sticky
The men were the saints,
and these women were our sinners.
God was all man.
The angels, the adoring fans,
they were our girls. If you did
wrong, your wings were robbed in
your sleep. This was what we were
told to worship.
Eve said, “He gave me a mind of my own
but never meant for me to think for myself.
My appetite could not even be my own.”
Persephone said, “I was just a little girl.
He grabbed me from behind and they all
said I should love him because he’s a God.”
Eve and Persephone said,
“They told me I was just a girl,
nothing Godly about that.
I wanted to know why I couldn’t be both.”
Eve and Persephone met,
and nobody was ready for what happened next.
Eve and Persephone: The Birth of Witchcraft, angelea l.
I wonder how angry Ancient Greeks and Romans would be today having their religion being called mythology because it’s too unbelievable to a bunch of people that have complete faith in the fact that fruit doomed their entire race
It’s almost Christmas Eve (and my birthday) and I’m going to buy gifts. I love to buy gifts, especially those no one knows, hihi. 🎄
So this is my Christmas and birthday wishlist. I have the luck (or even bad luck, depending on how one looks at it) that I celebrate my birthday a day later. I think it’s great, because I use the opportunity to wish for something which I would not buy myself completely.
Hi everyone, hope you’re all well. I’ve just finished cooking up a batch of my own homemade Apple Crisps and thought I would share this wonderful and super quick recipe with you. Not only is this speedy snack great for Samhain/Halloween, it contains ingredients used for protection etc, can be used as an offering for your God or Goddess, is a healthy variation to supermarket bought crisps AND is suitable for vegans/vegetarians, did I already mention they are super quick to make? Without further ado, let’s get started!
You will need:
1 whole apple.
A sprinkle of cinnamon.
A dash of brown sugar. ( You can use white sugar but I prefer brown as it produces a lovely thick syrup texture and has a gorgeous coffee flavouring to it ).
How to make:
Cut your apple into thin slices. Not too thin or they will burn and not to thick or they won’t turn into crisps!
Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
Place your apple slices onto your tray and start to add your toppings. Use as much as you wish.
Cook your apple slices in the oven on gas mark 4/ 180°C / 350°F for fifteen minutes. ( A few of my crisps did burn, so depending on how thin you cut your apple and how powerful your oven is, feel free to change the time and settings ).
Ingredients used in Witchcraft:
Cinnamon: Associated with the elements of fire and the sun. Magikal uses are - good luck, love, money, passion, peace, prosperity, protection, psychic development, success and wisdom.
Apples: Scared to many Goddessses including Aphrodite. Magikal uses are - fidelity, fertility, marriage, beauty, vanity, wisdom, the soul, the afterlife and immortality.
Brown Sugar: Healing, love and sweetness.
That’s all there is to it! I hope you enjoyed this recipe and your finished product. Please do not remove the source and have a safe, happy and blessed Samhain. Let me know how your Apple Crisps turn out!

persephone chose autumn, shunned spring sun and winter weather together in the same breath, stole leaves from trees with careless honey dipped hands. she chose the night sky. danced with stars instead of flowers and found life in a different kind of shadow.
she considered her options. picked apple over pomegranate and followed the footsteps eve carved out into sandstone and river rock as she made her way down from the garden, this, another choice, a different kind of forbidden fruit but the same kind of falling; from a pedestal someone else sat her on, one she never claimed for herself.
fun fact for the good omens fandom but Eve eating an apple in the Garden of Eden is one of the biggest Mandela effects ever cause literally nowhere in the Bible does it specify that the fruit was an apple it just says it’s a “fruit.” It could be any fruit. It could have been a watermelon or a pineapple.
Pandora opened the box
and let evil rampant
Eve ate an apple
and fell all of men
Persephone hungered for power
Helen made war for her love
Cleopatra reigned immortal
They wept for Icarus
But shed not a tear for Medea
So she burned them to the ground, and god,
How she burned
History reviles us
And why shouldn’t it
It was never ours
We, the scapegoats blamed for the cruelties of unfit
Gods and pathetic men
We inherited the ocean and all her rage
We will rise from the ashes of the fires you set
We will crumble your kingdoms and build our own
We will rule with iron fists and open hands,
Wearing pearls and battle scars
We, the girls who sleep with knives under our pillows
We, with diamonds on our knuckles and blood in our mouths
We molded the past
We are the future
