the anti hero

anonymous asked:

Would you join the hero association if you lived in the One Punch Man Universe and what would your hero name be?

Well as I’ve said many times before I’d never be a SuperHero because I have a straight Anti-hero/Warrior mentality of kill bad guys right away
so they cant do more harm xD

Female characters from TV/Animation DC Universe

+ bonus (for lack of space and also I did this at 6am and kinda forgot them)

Can we just appreciate Uncle Rick for a moment? Like, while people like Casserole Chicken write LGBT characters as weaker and bitchy (Alec not killing a demon for 18 years whereas Simon kills one pretty much the day he finds out they exist), we have Rick writing strong characters like Will, Nico, Alex, Josephine, Hemithea, and Apollo who just happen to be LGBT

What we’ve learned from Jason’s dialogue in Injustice 2

Now that I’ve pitted Jason against everyone in Injustice 2 and listened to their dialogue, I’ve found very interesting plot points. Whether the Injustice comics are going to follow them or ignore them completely to create a brand new story, this is what we have about Jason Todd (aka Red Hood) in the Injustice universe. Fanfiction writers, feel free to use this information ;)

  • Jason is a neutral character but leans towards Batman’s side. He tells Dinah that they’re on the same team, but he also states that he goes his own way and that he is his own boss.
  • He states numerous times that he hates the regime (You’ve gone far enough Superman. There’s wrong and then there’s worse. You still represent the regime? I’m not with the regime).
  • Even though he agrees that some criminals need to die, he doesn’t want to kill all of them. (Even I have limits. There’s far and then there’s too far. I’m not out to kill every criminal.)
  • It’s implied that he used to be on Superman’s side but betrayed them, as seen with Wonder Woman’s dialogue (You’re a traitor and a criminal.) and Cyborg (Turned on us fast enough.)
  • Strained relationship with Batman. Bruce asks if he plans to disappoint him again, that he’s too reckless and claims that he’s blind to what he became, Jason tells him that he’s the hero Gotham deserves and that Bruce should step aside.
  • It is hinted that Bruce wants him to go to his side, as Dinah chastises him for being a jerk to Bruce and Vixen tells him that he would have welcomed Jason back with open arms. Jason doesn’t believe them.
  • He doesn’t like Kryptonians, probably because of Superman’s tyrannical reign, he doesn’t trust people with so much power. He tells both Supergirl and Power Girl that there aren’t good Kryptonians.
  • Batman trusts him enough to train both Blue Beetle and Firestorm.
  • He’s on bad terms with Damian and warns him that he used to think like him.
  • It is hinted that he’s looking for redemption from his dialogue with Darkseid (Redemption is hard to find for killers like you.)
  • He considers himself as someone with nothing to lose.
  • Jason is young. His age was not confirmed, but Superman calls him a kid (same dialogue he uses with Beetle and Firestorm who are both 18 years old), Black Adam calls him a child. Considering his high pitched voice, it is probable that he’s around Damian’s age biologically (who is around 18/19 years old).
  •  Everyone knows that he was the second Robin.
  • He’s a self-proclaimed anti-hero and Outlaw. (Outlaws can be heroes too!)
  • He actually says “You only live twice!”.
  • Mentions that he was dead a lot (I’m a dead man walking. Been dead, done that.)
  • Harley thinks he’s cute. She calls him ‘Robin Hood’.
  • Catwoman doesn’t seem to like him, she tells him that she always knew he was trouble and calls him a murderer. Jason doesn’t resent her, but he actually sounds sad when he asks her to show him what made her impress Bruce so much (probably longing for Bruce’s approval too, since both he and Selina walk the gray line but Selina got to stay by Batman’s side).
  •  Even though Jason claims to work by himself, when he faces a villain he says that he’s going to bring their head to Batman.

LGBT Hero: Alan Turing

His name was Alan Turing. Most people still don’t know who he was. That must change. Turing was a prodigiously gifted British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, and computer scientist. In fact, Turing is considered the father of computer science and artificial intelligence. He designed the programming of the world’s first commercial computer. He was also the inventor of the Turing Machine in 1935, a device which even to this day all digital computers are modeled on. Crucially, he was central to the building of The Bombe, an electro-mechanical machine which greatly helped in the breaking of the Enigma code used by the Nazi’s during World War Two. By 1942 his team was decoding up to 39,000 Enigma messages a month. This rose to 84,000, or about two messages decoded every minute.

Winston Churchill said that Turing’s work shortened the Second World War by at least two years, saving millions of lives. Turing also helped decode the Fish cipher used by the German High Command to transmit messages between Hitler and senior officers in the field. So Turing was an architect, many would say the architect, of the modern world - and he was living in it decades before the rest of us.

Alan Turing was homosexual. He was quite fearlessly homosexual in an era when it was still a crime. When it became known he lost his security clearance. In 1952 he was convicted of acts of ‘gross indecency.’ They gave him a choice between prison or a process they called 'chemical castration.’ The barbaric and pointless process of being injected with female hormones - it gave him female breasts, it rendered him impotent - proved so traumatic it eventually led to his suicide in 1954. He was 41.

Re: post-spn scoutthoughts.. Am I the only one who thinks that there's something off with mr. Ketch? He comes across as a sociopath, but.. Some things remind me of soulless!Sam.. Mr.K just seems like he can pretend to be a human a bit better than soulless!Sam.. And then there's the question: Why has the tattoo gotten so much screen time? Is it magic? A binding? Mind control? (then again, I might need to try to be a little less insane.. 'cause maybe I'm just seein things that aren't there)

hmm…you know, he’s a character that i feel has potential, and i agree with you on these things. it’d be super interesting if the BMoL removed his soul as an experiment to see if he’d just become a killing machine, because with his soul that was only thing stopping him was a filter, but he is a logical person

alternatives:

  • he went through an embarrassing goth stage but he’s afraid of tattoo removal
  • a Holy British Biker Gang tattoo
  • he’s an ANGEL THAT THE MoL ABDUCTED IN THE EARLY DAYS AND HE’S BEEN BOUND TO THIS VESSEL FOR SO LONG HE NO LONGER REMEMBERS WHAT HE IS AND IT MASKS HIM
