Inktober #9 - Afro Samurai 🇯🇵

When I first caught Afro Samurai around 9 years ago, it was my first real exposure to the idea that animation could be used for adult oriented entertainment. I think it was this and the Animatrix that started me down the road of watching vast amounts of animated movies, predominantly from Japan and Korea and helped guide me down my own path as an animator and filmmaker.

Being voiced by Samuel L and an original score by the RZA was just a bonus. HIGHLY recommend if you haven’t seen it already! Only 5 episodes and a movie, no excuse. 🎬

Old Hollywood Special Effects, Part Deux: The Revenge!

I had this one in the works for ages, and I finally pulled myself out of the old rut to finish it. I know the 70′s and beyond isn’t really “Old Hollywood”, but I had to be consistent.
