that's the point

May the happy fox bring joy into your day !

I’m seeing comments and posts about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man being too weak and unreliable, but that’s the whole point of Homecoming? Peter is new to the whole superhero business but y’all expect this fifteen year old to be a full fledged Avenger in his first movie? I loved seeing him run into fences, watching him make a fool of himself, and crying for help because he’s a dumb kid and that’s what they do. They are naive and immature and they make stupid mistakes. He’s still learning and we really get to see how vulnerable and weak this Spidey is. Spider-Man: Homecoming isn’t as epic and heroic as the previous Spidey films but that’s why it works so well. We get to really see a grounded and unskilled Peter Parker grow and I’m so excited to see him become the greatest hero in the MCU.

Condolences to Thomas Astruc who only wanted to keep things a secret and make the new season a surprise for all of us 😔

Slytherin: Hey, Ravenclaw, you said you would help me out if I needed something, right?

Ravenclaw: Yeah, what’s up?

Slytherin: The password to my dormitory is something bigoted again, and I was hoping I could stay in your dormitory. Could I have the password?

Ravenclaw: Of course! Just knock on the knocker and answer the Eagle’s question.

Slytherin: Wait, I have to actually think of things to get in?

Ravenclaw: Yeah, what’s the problem?

Slytherin: Fuck it, I’m asking Gryffindor, they can’t possibly be asked to think.

All jokes aside I think it’s really amazing how Hebrew was literally brought back to life by a bunch of enthusiasts and how what once was essentially a dead language is spoken nowadays by millions of people

I hear it on the streets and can’t stop thinking about how just a couple of centuries ago nobody was speaking it, and now it’s living and breathing just like any other natural language, with modern words and slang and shitty pop songs and children learning their first words in it

But it is also thousands of years old technically

This is wild

I'm hoping the Obi Wan film turns into an Obi Wan + Baby Luke go on an adventure movie.

This is literally the opposite of anything I want.

It’s extremely important to me (not to mention heavily implied by ANH canon, but who even cares about that anymore) that Obi-Wan was not really a figure in Luke’s life prior to ANH. He was “that crazy old wizard” that Luke had heard a few stories about, and was vaguely aware of where he lived, but that was it.

Obi-Wan spent 20 years in the desert being depressed, growing mushrooms on his vaporators, practicing his dragon calls, and learning to brew his own moonshine (and then drinking it, in impressive quantities). Nothing Disney does will ever convince me otherwise.
