that's me in the spotlight

Working in fashion for the past thirteen years has left thirty-two year old Louis Tomlinson privy to the darkness hidden behind glamour, and what he once loved has now left him bitter and jaded. On impulse, he leaves Paris for the very first job that comes along – head of the wardrobe department on a brand-new television show in America.

‘Modern Missionary’ follows Harry Styles, a religious 16-year-old Texan, on a tour of America. The pitch is simple enough – Harry leads by example, showing the viewers how they too can bring God’s light and love to the world around them.

Inadvertently, showing Harry to the world also shows the world to Harry; his eyes are opened, not without Louis’ help. Harry begins to question everything: his religion, his identity, his values, and his sexuality. How can love be a sin if… cela semble si juste?

I. Love. The. Larry. Fandom.

19-year-old Louis in That’s Me In The Spotlight

“He’d arrived in Paris at the fresh age of nineteen and back then, the Louvre was his Mecca, a shiny glass lid that contained everything that mattered to him: Fashion Week. He’d only gone to two shows and had to sit way in the back, but that didn’t matter. Actually, it was probably for the best that he was hidden at the back, because Balmain had actually made him cry – 2002 had a lot of shiny blacks and daring textures that looked so good they were like a visual massage. That’s what fashion was to Louis: something so perfectly beautiful that it actually hurt. Nothing else ever made him feel that way.”

I’m not a fan of the “Jesus fic” because i’m stupidly strict bottom!louis person, but I wish people stopped making something out of it that it isn’t and didn’t hate on the author that much. And i’m mouthy little fuck so i’m not afraid to say it. The person is literally not hurting anyone, they’re not fetishizing the age (which is legal depending on where you are) and they said gazillion of times how things are and they are not how people make them out to be. Try not to see problem and everything people do nowadays, don’t let that negativity into your life. I understand some of your reasons but don’t make the same mistake as me, I went to the source, asked about the fic and it’s nothing like people made it out to be.
So yeah, i’m not fan of the age difference or whatever, but i’m saying it as one artist to another because i know what it’s like when group of people make something up and spread it around…

(◡‿◡✿) oh sweet sweet mc you- huh?

“Will you say something in French?” Harry asked.

Bonne nuit?” Louis tried.

“Not that one.”

“You’re after something specific?” Louis clarified.

“Yes,” was all Harry gave him.

“How about.. au revoir?” Louis guessed.

“No, not that one either.”

À bientôt?” and then Louis felt a dull burn in his chest when he realised what Harry was looking for. Louis could hear his own voice dropping sickeningly soft as he whispered, “Je t'aime, mon petit-ami.

“That’s the one,” Harry breathed, and promptly ended the call.

Kate Argent

So many problems with tonight’s episode of Teen Wolf.
The most important being:

does Stiles know about Kate Argent?

That was Derek’s “rosebud,” his origin story, his warm, bleeding heart….

In season 1 it’s a shocking reveal: we find out that Derek feels he is responsible for the death of his entire family.  Derek, as a high schooler, had a relationship with Kate Argent, an older woman who was manipulating him and using him as a pawn in her plan to murder his entire family.

“Oh, Sweetie.”  Kate says, tauntingly, “Don’t tell me you never told anyone about us?  Wow. That’s a LOT of guilt to be carrying around inside of you, bottled up all these years." (Paraphrased, but you get the gist)

Derek’s character is built on survivor’s guilt and an inability to trust or be dependent on anyone.  He’s haunted by the burden of bearing— alone—- the HUGE, DARK, GUILTY AND HUMILIATING SECRET of Kate.

And the emotionally impactful reveal of this secret to other characters?
It should come as no surprise if you’ve been watching Season 3 that, ta-da!
We don’t get a reveal!
In fact, we’ve forgotten Season 1 even happened, and so should you!

So Stiles makes some thoughtless comment about Derek having twice dated serial killers aaandddddd….. no one reacts.
*sad trombone*
Yepppp so Derek’s character is so unimportant to Jeff and the writers that they took his origin story, pissed on it and discarded it into a throwaway gag for Stiles.
