that you gif the movie you just saw

Imagine Chris and the Avengers cast talking about you on Jimmy Kimmel.

You settled in your hotel room bed and turned on the television just in time to catch your husband, Chris Evans, and fellow cast members; Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner live on Jimmy Kimmel. You were meant to be at the interview with them but your commitment with your new movie sent you to London instead, and so there you were watching them answer the questions you were suppose to as well about the movie you all had acted in six months ago.

The interview started and the cast took their seats. You smiled at how handsome Chris looked in the outfit you had told him to take with him; everyone else looked great too. Seeing them made you miss their company and you wished you had been able to join them on the couch.

“It is so great to have you guys here tonight,” Jimmy addressed them with a wide grin. “The movie isn’t even out yet and everyone’s already excited to see part two.” The audience cheered their agreements. “Thank you all for coming out. I know all of you are very busy which is why we’re missing a few cast members tonight.”

The cast nodded in acknowledgement of your absence as well as a few others.

“Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, as well as your wife, Y/N,” Jimmy said to Chris and Chris nodded again, this time with a cute pout. “I heard she’s currently in London filming her next movie.”

“Yeah,” Chris chuckled. “She actually left for London like- a week after we wrapped up Infinity War. I headed home to relax and she went on to her next job, it definitely says a lot about our level of demand in the industry.” He joked and you chuckled softly. “No, I’m extremely proud of her. She’s up for an Oscar, did you guys know that?”

“How can we not? You talk about it all day every day,” Robert rolled his eyes as he pretended to be annoyed with Chris. “Even Y/N doesn’t talk about it as much as you do.” The room laughed. “No, seriously though- he talks about it all the time. Doesn’t he, guys?” He asked the cast for confirmation.

“All the time,” Scarlett and Jeremy nodded.

“Even Y/N tells him to shut up about it,” Mark chuckled.

“You’d think he was the one getting nominated,” Chris H added.

“He’s a proud husband,” Jimmy defended Chris.

“Yeah,” Chris laughed, “just leave me be.”

“He’s a lovesick puppy, that’s what he is.” Robert teased, glancing back at Chris. “Ever since the second he laid eyes on Y/N, he’s been head over heels for her.” The cast nodded and Chris blushed deeply, dropping his head. “You should have seen him the first time she walked on to the set, his eyes popped out of his skull and he became a huge blubbering mess.”

You giggled to yourself, remembering the day Robert was talking about. You’d been friends with Robert for quite a while now, having met on the set of ‘Sherlock Holmes’ in 2009. He was the one who took you around on your first day at the Marvel Studios and introduced you to everyone, including your husband. Chris was a huge mess the first time he met you, mainly because he was already a fan of your work and you were drop dead gorgeous in a black lace dress; he was a bit of a sucker when it came to lace.

“Yeah, okay,” Chris chuckled, “I’ll admit I was a bit of a mess when I met Y/N.”

“A bit?” Chris H scoffed then chuckled. “We were all embarrassed for you, dude. You’re lucky she’s ridiculously nice and ignored your rambling otherwise you wouldn’t be here with that ring on your finger. You lucked out with her, my man.”

“Oh trust me, I know.” Chris chuckled. “She reminds me everyday.”

He was joking- while you did remind him occasionally, mostly as a joke, sometimes when you were fighting- he didn’t need a reminder when it came to you. He knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you even before the first date.

The two of you clicked pretty much immediately and every day on set became like a scene out of a romantic comedy. It got to a point where Joss had to keep you two apart because you and Chris couldn’t be in the same room without flirting and/or ending up in a fit of giggles.

Your relationship with him progressed with MCU film franchise. You met and started dating on the set of ‘The Avengers’, by 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, you’d moved in with him, he’d proposed during 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron’, and by the time 'Captain America: Civil War’ came around you’d been happily married for almost a year. The end of 'Infinity War: Part 1’ called for your first pregnancy- which the two of you were planning on keeping a secret until the three month mark. And by the end of 'Infinity War: Part 2’, your little miracle would have been born and introduced to the world.

“I know we’re here to talk about the movie but can we just discuss your personal life for a moment?” Jimmy asked Chris. “You and Y/N have been married for a while now, do you think we’re going to see little Captain Americas and little Agent 25s running around anytime soon?”

You pressed your lips together when you saw Chris’ reaction. He looked like he was definitely dying to tell someone but the two of you made a promise and neither of your families knew yet so he kept his mouth shut and let Jeremy made the first comment.

“He’s enough of a child for the both of them,” Jeremy joked. “You should see them out and about, they paint the town red till the break of dawn. It’s no wonder they work together 'cause I don’t think anyone else can keep up with them.”

You laughed, suddenly glad you weren’t there to be teased.

“You two like to party?” Jimmy asked, chuckling.

“Why do you think they don’t have kids yet?” Mark chuckled.

“So they’re the ones you guys call to have fun, Chris and Y/N?”

“Definitely.” Robert nodded. “Those two are absolutely hectic.”

“Mm hm,” the entire cast nodded with all their thumbs pointed at Chris.

“Nooooo, we’re not going to do that!” Chris held his hands up in surrender. “We’re on TV, guys! Our parents are watching this. C'mon, if Y/N sees this she’s going to lose her mind. We promised her no embarrassing stories, so c'mon!”

“If she doesn’t want any embarrassing stories about her then she should settle down,” Robert said. “Hear that, kid?” He addressed you through the camera. “Become a mom and everything embarrassing you’ve ever done is wiped clean off the slate.”

You chuckled and picked up your phone, texting Chris the following words.

Just break the news, babe. We’ll call our families after the interview. I know we said we’d wait but it’s happening so we might as well tell people. I know you’ve been dying to tell them anyway so go ahead, you’ve got my full support. ❤️️

After sending the text, you turned your attention back onto the TV screen. Chris flinched and you knew it was from the buzzing in his pocket. He subtly pulled his attention away from Jimmy and the rest and took his phone out of his pocket to read the text. You saw his smile and you couldn’t help but smile back. He looked up at the screen and winked, knowing you were watching.

“Hey guys, um-” Chris cleared his throat and drew the attention onto himself. “I’ve got something to announce. Y/N and I have been keeping this a secret for a while now and um- she actually just decided it was time we break the news. She just texted me telling me to announce it right here on Jimmy Kimmel.”

“No my God,” Scarlett gasped and turned to Chris a knowing smile. “Is she-”

The rest of the cast turned to Chris with widened eyes and excited smiles, waiting for confirmation.

“Yup,” Chris nodded, smiling. “We’re expecting our first child.” He said and the whole room gasped.

“Wow!” Jimmy clapped. “That is- congratulations, you guys. Y/N,” he looked into the camera. “We wish you could be here with us. Congratulations, you two are going to make wonderful parents.” He said and you smiled.

“No way!” Robert’s jaw dropped, his excited grin visible as he turned from Chris to the camera. “I knew it,” he pointed to the camera and you chuckled. “I’m so proud of you, kid. I can’t wait to meet your little one.”

“Congratulations, man!” Jeremy slapped Chris on the back excitedly.

“Yeah, welcome to the dad clan. You’re one of us now,” Chris H shook his hand, grinning.

“I’m so happy for you guys,” Mark told him, smiling. “You’re both going to make amazing parents.”

“Thanks guys,” Chris grinned. “I’m very excited as well.” He turned his attention back onto the camera, speaking directly to you. “I couldn’t have asked for a better person to experience parenthood with and- I’m ready as long as I’ve got you by my side, sweetheart. I love you and I can’t wait to see you.”

You smiled, feeling your eyes water as you picked up your phone and texted him your response.

I love you and I can’t wait to see you too.

To say you were craving sugar was an understatement. You had just finished raiding your kitchen and when you came up empty handed in your search for sweets you could’ve nearly broken down into tears. You were making your way into the living room with a pout on your face when you saw it.

“Ah my love, you wanna come cuddle on tha couch?” You weren’t really listening to him, you were more focused on the pint of ice cream that Harry had between his hands. You quickly plopped down next to him making him laugh as you snuggled up closer to him.

“Harry where did you get that?” He looked down at the ice cream in his hands as you started to reach for the spoon he was currently not using. He quickly moved the sweet treat out of your reach making your mouth once again fall into a pout.

“Oh no ya don’t! Last time I shared my ice cream with you I got left with all the minty bits and all the chocolate was gone!” You just rolled your eyes as you reached over him in attempt to grab the ice cream from his outstretched arm.

“Don’t be so dramatic Harry, I just want a bite.” You heard Harry laugh as you were now practically in his lap trying to get the ice cream from his hand. You let out an annoyed sigh as you reached up one more time in efforts to grab the container that held the sweet treat you were craving so badly.

“Psh, a bite my love is one spoonful.” He slowly lowered his arm as his free one wrapped around your waist and pulled you down onto his lap. “But your version of a bite means that in a matter of minutes my ice cream will be half gone.” You rolled your eyes as you turned yourself around so your back was against his chest.

“Well when I like something I just can’t help myself.” You stated causing Harry to laugh lightly as his arm wrapped tighter around your waist. “Can I please just have a bite Harry, I’ve been craving sweets.” You turned your head as you gave him your sweetest smile making him roll his eyes.

“Fine,” you couldn’t help but giggle in delight as Harry handed you the ice cream. “One bite.” He added as you turned your attention to the pint of ice cream that was now in your hands. You quickly crossed your legs while still sitting in Harry’s lap, Harry wrapped his other arm around your waist giving you a light squeeze as he placed a sweet kiss to your neck.

“Not now Harry,” you felt him smile against your skin. “I’m trying to eat.” You felt him laugh against your neck causing you to squirm as his breath hit your skin.

“Oh there is more ice cream in the freezer my love,” your eyes widened as his words hit your ears. “I just hid it from you.” You almost dropped the spoon that was in your hand, you snapped your head to the side so you could look at him.

“You hid it from me?” Your tone was playful but Harry knew by the way your eyebrows were so close together that you were slightly annoyed. “Why would you hide my ice cream? You know how much I love it.” Harry couldn’t help but just roll his eyes at you as you placed another spoonful of ice cream into your mouth.

Harry knew what you were doing, he wasn’t new to your games. He knew this was how you were trying to distract him so you could finish off his treat before he had a chance to eat anymore of it. Harry quickly just placed a sweet kiss to your cheek as you turned your attention to the television.

“Pretty woman,” he whispered in your ear. “One of our favorites.” He brought you closer to him as he twisted your bodies to he was now leaned against the armrest of the couch and you could spread your legs out between his.

“You have good taste in ice cream,” you stated as you placed the now empty container on the floor next to the couch, Harry just shook his head when he saw you lick the spoon before putting inside the container as well. “And in movies, I’m one lucky girl.” You added as you snuggled into Harry a bit more resting your head on his chest as his arms found their way to your middle.

“Yes one lucky girl indeed.” You felt him kiss the top of your head leaving his lips there for a moment. You loved having cuddles on the couch with Harry while the two of you watched a movie, you loved it even more when it involved ice cream.

It was hot. Way too hot. And there was no place to hide from the heat. Well there was inside, but due to being the hostess of this little get together you couldn’t hide indoors all day. You almost regretted planning this little shindig for the middle of summer but Harry had convinced you it’d be fun. Plus today was the only day everyone had off and could come together.

Harry and you had spent all morning getting the food prepped, the back yard set up, and the pool cleaned. People were set to start showing up any minute now. You were hoping maybe you’d have a minute to run inside, cool yourself off a bit, maybe apply some more deodorant. You looked at your phone to check the time, seeing that you had pretty much no time to do any of that. “Uugggghhhhh, noooo.” You whined under your breath.

“What was that for love? Not excited for our guests?” Harry chuckled. You rolled your eyes before you turned, pointing a finger at him. “Don’t even. You know I am excited to see everyone, and am happy we all finally can get together. But why does it have to be so bloody hot today?!” You stated as you wiped the sweat off your brow. “I just wanted one moment to run inside and cool down, maybe apply some more deodorant before guests arrived”

Harry walked up to you and wrapped his arms around your waist as you placed your arms around his neck. “Here lemme see…Ooh yeah, you do stink a bit” You smacked him upside his head. “Ouch okay, I’m just joking love. No need to get violent.” He chuckled and pressed a kiss to your cheek. “You do know that to answer the door you have to go inside? Which means, you can cool off in doing so and then you can send them outside to me and you just run upstairs real quick and do whatever you need”

You huffed. “Damnit, how come I didn’t think of that?!” Harry just stuck his tongue out at you in response. “Uhm excuse me Styles, put that thing back where it came from or so help me”

Harry let out a quick loud laugh. “Did you seriously just quote a children’s movie to scold me?” You just smirked and shrugged. “Wow, you watch way too many kids movies love”

You just rolled your eyes at him. “Well I do work as a Nanny H. With two kids under the age of 5 all you ever watch is kids movies or tv shows. I can’t help it if lines from it get stuck in my head from time to time. But you have no room to talk, you knew that was from a children’s movie!”

Harry pulled you into him and gave you a quick peck. “Let’s be honest with one another love. You watch kids movies even when you’re not working. You watch them at home and make me watch them with you. You’re a kid at heart” He smirked at you. You just rolled your eyes at him again, but smiled.

He was right, of course he was. You had seen more kids movies than adult movies probably. Or at least knew them better. You were a kid at heart, but that was what had attracted you to him. Your carefree, goofy, happy go lucky attitude instantly won him over. Sure it meant lots of kids movies but it also meant lots of laughs, smiles and someone to always keep his mood up. Also his heart warmed any time he saw you with the children you nannied for. He couldn’t wait till until the he got to watch you with your own children. Children that you two would have together. He would be done for then.

Harry smiled and leaned down to be eye level with you. “But that’s what I love about you.” He placed a sweet soft peck on your lips. You wrapped your arms back around his neck, and started kissed him back. Your kissing had started to turn into more when you heard the doorbell ring. You groaned.

“Well our guests await love. Go let them in, send them out to me and go freshen up if you still want” He shot you a smile and a wink, placed a kiss to your cheek before you removed your arms and started to walk inside the house.

You turned your head back to him before you got fully indoors. “Hey H?” He looked up from his phone, “Yes love?”

“I love you” You said with a smile. Harry smiled back at you, a small one, the one reserved for only you. “I love you too”

Tom Holland Imagine: So Cute

Summary: You’re visiting Tom’s family for the first time and insist on buying them a bottle of wine so you don’t show up empty handed and Tom helps you pick what kind

A/N: I just really don’t know why Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling aren’t married… (also, sorry this is super short)

Warnings: none

————————————————

“Toooommmmm!” I whined for about the 500th time within the few minutes we had been in the store.

Tom rolled his eyes playfully again as he pulled me into his side. We continued to walk through the store as we scanned though all the different kinds of wine.

“How do you not know what your parents drink!?” I asked.

“Y/N, it’s really not a big deal. You already bought them both gifts and you didn’t even have to do that! Honestly, you don’t need to be doing this, love.”

“Yes I do! I can’t just not get them something!”

“But you already bought my mother a necklace and my father a tie! You’re fine!”

“Noooo! I need something else for both of them!”

Tom sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. I began to wonder off on my own when Tom’s phone rang. He answered it after he mouthed to me that it was his mother.

I scanned over all the different brands and flavors and ages. How the hell am I supposed to know which one they like!?

I trudged back over to Tom and tried to get his attention to ask his mother. Tom kept shaking me off and pointing to his phone.

“I know, Tom! I’m trying to get you to ask her about the wine!” I whispered.

Tom waved me off and turned away from me.

I huffed, angry from the lack of attention and playfully bit Tom’s shoulder. Tom smiled at me over his shoulder before he began to playfully act like he was being attacked. I giggled at his stupidity and walked away over to another set of wine bottles.

I heard Tom hang up the phone and walk over to me. I smiled as he wrapped his arms around my waist and snuggled his face into the crook of my neck.

“My mother said she likes just plain old red wine. Nothing special to it.” Tom said as he laid a kiss on my collar bone.

I grabbed the bottle off the wall and headed to the check out. I slapped my card on the table before Tom could even think about paying for it.

“Babe-”

“It’s my gift, Tom. Not yours.”

Tom held his hands up in surrender and backed away. I smiled and kissed his cheek as the cashier bagged the bottle of wine.

“Thank you.” I said to her.

I intertwined Tom and I’s fingers and walked to the doors. Just as Tom and I were about to leave, he heard his name being called.

Tom and I turned to see two girls smiling widely as they stood next to their parents. The girls looked at each other before they ran up to Tom and hugged him.

“Can we have a picture?”

“Of course.”

Tom took pictures with both of the girls, acting stupid and cute with both of them, clearly making their day.

I stood to the side and smiled at my boyfriend when I felt one of the girls tap my shoulder.

I turned to her and smiled kindly.

“Hi, Y/N. I know you probably hear this a lot but I just really think you’re beautiful. Tom’s really lucky to have a girlfriend like you.”

“No, I’m the one who’s lucky.” I said as I looked at the love of my life as he shot me a wink.

After the girls got their pictures, Tom and I headed to his parents’ house.

After we finished dinner with his parents, Tom and I headed up to his room to watch movies and cuddle.

As Tom watched Star Wars, I played on my phone and opened Twitter. I smiled as I saw the girls that we had met today had post the pictures the took with Tom.

Tom looked down when he felt me chuckle.

“What’s so funny, love?”

“Those girls from today. They took a video of us and made it into a gif.”

I held my phone up to Tom and saw him smile when he watched the gif of me biting Tom’s shoulder and then him acting like he was being attacked.

“Did you read the caption, darling?”

I pulled the phone back to my face and read what the girls had written.

“So we saw Tom and Y/N shopping for wine today and they were just honestly the cutest couple I’ve ever seen. Plus, they were total sweethearts when we asked for pictures. New #otp”

I smiled and leaned up to place a kiss on Tom’s smiling lips.

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

BROKEN PART THREE:

“So, how does that feel?”

You couldn’t help but moan a little at the sensation. Steve’s hands were like magic.

“You’re really tense in your shoulders.” He said as he continued giving you a massage.

“That’s what having three kids does to you.” You joked.

The relationship that you had with Steve was a good one. It all started when you met him for coffee that Monday four months ago. He had been sweet and humorous the entire time. Sparks flew and now you found yourself with him romantically.

Imagine telling Chris you love him for the first time.

A/N: Finally had some time to just sit and write, so here’s that request from @createdbytinyaddiction. I hope this meets what you requested, my mind’s kinda in holiday mode.

The sun rose over the Manhattan skyline as you awoke from your sleep. Your eyelids fluttered open and you smiled when you remembered you were still camping out in your living room in the fort that you’d made with your boyfriend, Chris, and his adorable co-star, Mckenna, on Thursday night after their movie ‘Gifted’ premiered at the New York Institute of Technology. You’d promised her the last time you saw her at the Los Angeles premiere that you’d let her have a sleepover at your apartment after the New York premiere. She’d been wanting to see your apartment for a while now, from the moment Chris told her about how you had the most beautiful workspace with the prettiest teal blue typewriter- she’d been begging you to see it. Mckenna showed a great deal of interest in creative writing, so it didn’t surprise anyone that when she met Chris’ writer girlfriend that she’d cling onto you.

You didn’t mind though, you found her incredibly adorable and sweet. You remembered meeting her at lunch after she was casted, you’d fell in-love with her immediately. Chris had brought you along because he’d bring you everywhere with him if he could, and usually he could- you were a freelance writer, you could work from anywhere at any time. But you also knew the real reason he’d brought you along was to see you around kids; he was a family man who wanted a family of his own eventually, so he had to make sure the one he was going to settle with had the same family oriented values that he did. Now he knew you had nieces and nephews like he did, but he’d never really seen you with them as you’d only been dating six months. The two of you were still in the honeymoon phase where it was all about the two of you and no one else mattered. You’d met his parents and he’d met yours, but that was it. You were both yet to meet the rest of each others’ families, though plans had been made for the Fourth of July.

Despite the relationship only being six months old, you were both pretty sure about each other already. Even before the meeting with Mckenna went down, Chris had no doubt about you because he knew you shared the same mindset as he did. You may not have been as big a kid person as he was, but you did believe in doing things for the ones you loved and you loved Chris. If he wanted children, you’d have children. Be it for him, or with him- you’d do it because the love you carried for him was indescribable and unconditional, and it was enough to erase any fears and uncertainties that you had about having kids. Before you met Chris, you didn’t understand what your mom meant when she said “when you meet the one you’re meant to be with, you’ll want kids.” After meeting Chris, her words had never been more clear.

The only thing now that was standing in your way of getting that happily ever after was yourselves. Neither of you were fearless enough to push past the concept of time, you both worried that things were progressing faster than they normally should therefore preventing you from professing your love for each other. He didn’t want to scare you away and you didn’t want to scare him away, which was ridiculous because neither of you had plans to go anywhere. One of you just needed to find the guts to pass that first 'I-love-you’ barrier then things were going to fall right into place and you’d both live happily ever after.

“Morning,” you heard Chris whisper as he rolled onto his side, draping his arm over your stomach. You turned to face him, pressing your hand against his stubbly cheek. “How do you always look so beautiful so early in the morning?” He quizzed with a sleepy smile that made your heart flutter.

“I just watch and learn from you,” you answered then giggled when he chuckled. “How’d you sleep?” You asked, running your fingers through his hair which was so much fluffier when he didn’t have any product in it. He groaned as he stretched and you knew sleeping on something other than a bed was starting to take a toll on the body. “Think it’s about time we tear down the fort and sleep in the bedroom?”

“Probably,” he chuckled, resting his arm on your stomach again. “I do like sleeping in this fort though.” You nodded in agreement as you admired the interior; it was a lot prettier at night as there were fairy lights you could turn on. “Mckenna did a great job decorating it, I don’t think we could’ve pulled it off without the kid.”

“Neither,” you agreed with a nod. “She’s pretty talented, that one.” You smiled when you remembered you were having her over again soon. “I can’t wait to see how well my bake day is going to be with her as my sous-chef, I bet she’ll be more helpful than you.” He scoffed, pretending to be more offended than he actually was. “All you do is distract me, I never get anything done with you in the kitchen.”

“And that’s a bad thing?” He smirked and you laughed, squirming when he tickled your sides. “I’m the best sous-chef and you know it,” he poked your cheek and you rolled your eyes, nodding mockingly. “Say it, Y/N.” He tickled your sides again and you laughed. “Say I’m the best sous-chef, say it.” He urged as he continued to tickle you.

“You’re the best sous-chef!” You managed through your laughter and he stopped, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you closer to him. “You’re the best sous-chef, okay?” You caressed his face in your hand and you rested your forehead against his. “You’re the best sous-chef, the best actor, the best boyfriend. You’re the best everything, Chris,” you told him, smiling as you lost yourself in his kind eyes. “And I love you,” you whispered, completely unaware that that was the first time you’d ever told him that.

“What?” His eyes widened and his lips parted; he may have been waiting to hear those three words for a while now, but it still took him by surprise. “Did you just-” He cut himself off when he saw panic wash over you. “No no no,” he chuckled as he tried to calm you down. “Don’t um- Don’t freak out, Y/N. It’s a good thing, you love me. It’s- it’s fantastic.” You pulled away from him and sat up, burying your face in your hands. “Hey,” he sat up and placed his hand on your back. “Y/N, listen to me. I’m-”

“I’m going to go start breakfast,” you said and quickly scrambled out of the fort and to your feet. Chris followed you, chuckling softly. Your panic rose as you felt his presence right behind you. “Do you want pancakes?” You tried to quicken your pace only to have him stop you by grabbing your wrist in his hand. “You don’t want pancakes?” You mumbled nervously when he spun you around, eyes watching you with an intense gaze.

“Can you shut up for a second?” He asked and you pressed your lips together; he chuckled softly then smiled as he whispered, “I love you too.” Your heart rid itself of all that horror and panic, and sang a thousand melodies. “I love you so much, Y/N. You don’t even know how long I’ve been wanting to tell you how much. If you didn’t say it then, I would’ve said it at breakfast. I just-” he cut himself off, licking his lips. “You’re the love of my life and I’m in-love with you.”

“Are you sure?”

“Are you serious?” He laughed and you bit back your smile. “Yes,” he cupped your face tightly in his hands, “I am absolutely sure that I am one hundred percent in-love with you. I’m thirty-six, sweetheart. I wouldn’t be with you if I wasn’t sure you’re the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I think I should be the one asking that question seeing as you’re the baby in the relationship,” he chuckled when you scoffed, slapping his chest ever so gently. “So are you sure?”

“I loved you even before you knew my name, Chris Evans,” you responded, wrapping your arms around his neck. He smiled, releasing your face to wrap his arms around your body to pull you as close as he possibly could to him. “So yes, I am very, very sure that I’m in-love with you.”

“Good,” he smiled. “Because I’ve got great plans to marry and spend the rest of my life with you.” You smiled and tipped your head, inching closer to his lips as he inched closer to yours. “I love you, Y/N.”

“I love you too,” you smiled then kissed him.

SECOND CHANCES - GRAYSON DOLAN IMAGINE

 Warnings: none

Requested

You heard a loud knock on your door that shook the walls, you furrowed your eyebrows as you jogged to your front door, peeking through the small hole. A very angry Grayson stood tall. You quickly opened the door,

“Gray what’s-"

"No, what’s this?” Grayson shoved his phone in your face, showing you pictures of you hugging and kissing a guy on the cheek. He scrolled down to show more pictures of you two sitting a table on a date.

"Gray that’s my gay friend-“ "You really think I’m going to believe that? You’re kissing him on the cheek!” Grayson angrily pointed at the picture as his jaw clenched angrily.

“If me going away with my brother for a week makes you act like this, I can’t imagine what will happen when I leave for tour in a week.” Grayson spat. “We’re done. I’m not going to let you use me like all of the other girls."

"Grayson I’m nothing like them-” you tried stopping him as tears welled your eyes,

"Save it. You’re just like them.“ Grayson slammed the door as you ran your hands through your hair, falling onto the floor and breaking into pieces. You choked on your tears as you pulled out your phone, shaking uncontrollably. You struggled typing as tears blurred your vision.

"Grayson he really is my gay friend. I kissed him on the cheek for a photo!”

 "Gray I’m sorry.“

"I would never do that to you.”

 "Gray please"

You dropped your phone to the floor as the last message didn’t send. He blocked your number. That was the first fight you and Grayson have ever been in. Somehow deep down you hoped that what he said through anger, he didn’t mean. You two had been together for a smooth year and nothing had bothered you two. Yes Grayson would get jealous sometimes, but never like this. Never over a gay friend. You rubbed your eyes, if he wasn’t going to hear you out, you weren’t going to cry over a stupid boy. You called your best friend, Danny, the same guy who was in the pictures with you.

“Danny?"

"Y/n, Hun, how’s it going?"

"Terrible. Grayson just broke up with me because he saw a picture of me kissing your cheek.” You heard Danny scoff over the phone,

“The boy broke up with you because you kissed your GAY friend on the CHEEK?” He groaned, “this is why I hate straight guys."

 "Not helping.” You sighed.

“Listen, I’m on my way over with ice cream and movies. You don’t need him.” Danny hung up the phone and you dragged yourself over to the couch.

By the time Danny got to your house, you were in a fit of tears once again. He pulled you into a small hug as you cried into his shoulder. Your breathing slowed and suddenly your phone went off with Grayson’s ringtone. Your head shot up as Danny grabbed your phone. He held it up as far as he could,

“No way, honey. He just said he didn’t trust you and broke up with you.” He gave you a hard glance as you slouched down, "you can’t take him back that fast, you deserve better.“ You slowly nodded,

"I guess so. But what did he say?” You asked.

"We’re not gonna read it, we’re gonna block his number and delete his contact.“

 "No!-” you protested.

“Y/n.” Danny gave you another hard glance. “Girl, you need to learn how to let go of those bad people in your life.” You laid your head in your hands,

"Okay, fine.“ You rubbed your eyes once again from the tears.

"Secondly, we’re going to delete your twitter and Instagram because we don’t wanna know what else people are saying about us because we’re clearly a couple to them.” Danny scoffed, deleting the apps. You sighed deeply, maybe this is what you needed. “C'mon, lets go eat our own weight in ice cream now.” Danny rubbed your back as you made your way to the freezer.

 **About 4 months later**

"Hey, could I get a venti hot chocolate please?“ You asked the cashier at Starbucks. You were currently freezing due to it being winter now in New Jersey. You walked over to the pick-up side of the counter and waited patiently for your hot chocolate. Things had been pretty good lately, you did miss being in a relationship and letting go was such a hard thing to do. You didn’t even know if you had actually moved on yet. You spent your days gossiping with Danny and gawking over cute guys but none of them really caught your eye. It really hit you when you realized that the reason why you weren’t able to find someone was because you kept comparing them to Grayson. They weren’t as supportive, trustworthy and mature as he was. You guessed that’s why you just couldn’t move on.

"Y/n.” The bartender yelled your name as you muttered a thank you, grabbing your hot chocolate. You sighed as it warmed your hands. You walked over to a small booth near the window as you watched the busy street. Couples held hands as a teen slipped on a patch of ice. You lightly chuckled as they got up and brushed it off, walking away as if nobody noticed. You were interrupted of your thoughts as someone cleared their throat.

"Can I take a seat?“ You looked up and you saw Grayson. His eyes looked heavy as his hair was no doubt a mess under his beanie.

"I-I guess.” You stuttered, taken by surprise. You both sat there, avoiding eye contact as you nervously played with the sleeve of your sweater.

"I always noticed that when you get nervous, you play with the end of your sweater, sometimes you twirl your hair around your finger.“ Grayson smiled weakly. "Okay look, y/n,” Grayson took a deep breath, “I fucked up. I fucked up bad and I don’t know what happened to me the last day we talked but jealousy came over me and I never heard you out and I beat myself up for it every day-” Grayson’s eyes began to tear up.

“Gray,” you placed your hand lightly on his. “Take a deep breath, it’s okay.” Grayson looked you in the eyes, you felt his pain as he wiped the tears from his eyes.

"Y/n, I just want to let you know that I should have given you all of my trust and all of my love. I feel like I didn’t do that and I want to fix everything. Trust me, y/n, the night that I walked home from your house in the pouring rain, I beat myself up the whole way home because I knew I fucked up, but I couldn’t bring myself to go back to your house. I knew you hated me.“ Grayson took a deep breath, it looked like a weight had been lifted from his chest as he held onto your hand.

"Gray, I’m going to admit that I felt like shit too. The day you left, I wanted you to come back. I was begging for you to come back. I knew you didn’t mean it, I just wish you could have heard me out.” You sighed looking into his deep brown eyes.

"From now on, y/n, I promise you that I will hear you out, I will go to you first, I will trust you. Please, can we start over?“ Grayson asked, taking both of your hands in his. You slowly nodded as tears brimmed your eyes.

"Yes, Gray.” You both got up from the table, ignoring everyone around you as Grayson picked you up in a warm hug. You breathed in his soft cologne as you wrapped your arms around his neck.

"I’ll never leave you again, y/n. I promise. I will love you through everything.“ He whispered into your ear. He gently set you back down and you grabbed his face and pulled him in for a deep kiss. Grayson pulled your hips closer as you both shared a beautiful moment.

"I knew you guys were meant for each other.” Ethan spoke up, wrapping his arms around the both of you. You softly giggled as you wiped a tear that slipped out of your eye. “I think this calls for our weekly pancake dates again.” Ethan gave you guys both a look as you pulled Ethan into a quick hug.

"I missed you guys so much.“ You smiled. Grayson wrapped an arm around you as you both headed out to the street, on your way to the pancake shop. You laid your head into his shoulder as the cool winter breeze hit your face. You were so glad to have your love back. You were finally happy again.

Remember ~ Peter hale

Prompt ~ you start to remember Peter when he’s taken by the wild hunt.

Warnings ~ none maybe some light swearing

Pairing ~ Peter hale x reader

Request~  “hello sweetheart this is a nice surprise, you in my bed” + is that my shirt your wearing

The past 3 months you had felt lost, like something was missing in your life. One day you woke up and nothing was right. You looked at your blank phone hoping for a message that you knew won’t be there,

Your friends had tried to help Lydia the only other banshee you knew tried to get you to go on girls nights out to cheer you up but you didn’t feel like partying. Also you  begun skipping out on pack meetings not feeling comfortable in the loft anymore. You felt like you was grieving and suffocating in the loft not being able to breath, It was safe to say you had falling to a deep state of depression, without knowing why.

Stiles had come over with Scott and they forced you out of bed, which had become your new home only leaving it for the bathroom or to get more junk food. After a finally agreeing to go to a meeting you go to get dressed. Finding a pair of skinny jeans you go to the draw for a top. You find a gray v-neck that you don’t remember having, automatically lifting the martial to your nose inhaling a manly woody smell, you instantly smile at the sent pulling the fabric over your torso. Looking in the mirror your feel a new sense of confidence, happiness. Love.

At the loft Derek and the rest of the pack welcome you all had missed you since you stopped coming. Lydia eyed your new choice of style but smiled pointing to the shirt you had found “nice to see you found a man” in a sing song voice. But that was the thing you didn’t. You didn’t know who’s the v neck belonged too but it felt right. After seeing the pack doing what they do best, train + plan you started feeling depressed again. You found your way into a guest room the smell was like your newly calmed shirt but stronger.

Sitting on the bed you stretch out when a picture catches your eye you hadn’t seen it in there before. You go and pick it up. It was of the pack, Derek in the middle with Scott and kira on his left hugging, stiles and Lydia on the right she was kissing his cheek. Then there was you next to stiles. The more you looked at the picture the more you felt something was wrong with it.

“Lydia, Scott” you scream running down the stairs. The whole pack comes running, the wolfs all had their fangs out. “what’s wrong” they say realizing you wasn’t bringing attacked. You show them the picture telling them the is someone missing. Someone was there and now there not.

They look at you like your crazy. “look at my face” you say pointing to yourself in the picture “I’m looking at someone” your face was turned slightly your eyes looking at the blank space next to you.

After seeing the disbelief in their faces you carry on “this v neck was in my cupboard, I don’t know where it came from but it feels right when I smell it I feel like I” you so not know how best to explain the feelings “ like it belongs to the person I love”

Stiles was the first to brake the silence laughing. “y/n you’ve been single since you came here 3 years ago” he said. You started to get frustrated. “is this like a banshee thing? ” Derek asked sensing your anxiety “this feeling?” you shrug your shoulders. “it’s that but also I think it’s an emotional connection” you answer.

Everyone had left leaving you with Derek you was still focused on the blank space waiting for someone to magically show. “you know you are a banshee maybe we could used it help see what this is about” he said taking the picture from you. “you believe me” you ask optimistic. Derek says he’s not sure. Reminding indifferent on it.

Later that night, you went to bed in the guest room. In the draws you find a set of Pajamas belonging to you. Thinking why was they in Derek’s spear room you put them on ready for bed. The smell and feeling of the pillow made you feel lonely.

You open your eyes to the dark room when you hear a voice. “Hello sweetheart” you looked next to you but the was nothing there. You closed your eyes “this is a nice surprise, you in my bed”. “peter” you say opening your eyes again. Like before you found the room empty. The rest of the night you heard conversations you somehow knew was memories trying to push forward. But what you did remember was Peter whoever he was, was the love of your life and was gone.

The next day you storm over to Derek and Lydia slamming the picture down “peter, it’s Peter Hale that’s missing” but just like yesterday they didn’t believe you. Even Derek refused to believe he had a family member he’d forgotten. “look i know it’s only a name but I swear it’s true” you plead with them to listen.

Lydia watched you the next few days desprite to get the memories of Peter back convince the others he was real. After a week you had finally gotten her and partly Derek onside. You had found a book with a story about the wild hunt and the ghost riders.“ it’s them they have Peter ” you say sure.

Lydia agrees to hypnotize you. After focusing on the candle and her voice your in a hypnotic state, You open your eyes your in the guest room but it’s different the is books and clothes about the room. Bottles of aftershave on the cabinet. The is a picture of you kissing a blank space. Lydia’s voice enters your head, it reminds you of the voice you how Peter’s was last week.

“Look at the books on the shelf each a memory find the book about peter hale” Lydia’s voice smooth and calm. You walk to the bookcase running the tips of your fingers over the spines, a red one stands out to you. Opening the book you blink and your surroundings had changed.

You was outside Derek’s loft when something tried to attack you . The was after Scott but found you instead. Peter came out of nowhere killing the wolf after you. He took you into the loft telling Derek to look out for his own pack. Peter was cold distant mean.

You flicked the page but turn your head the picture was filled in on the bedside table you was now kissing Peter. This time look back at the book, you was back in the room “hello sweetheart this is a nice surprise, you in my bed” you froze seeing him under the light smiling at you on his bed. It was like watching a movie staring yourself. “Well I wanted to thank you for helping me then I felt sore and dizzy I didn’t think you’d mind me being here” the memory version of you says back “I’ve always wanted to see you in it just not hurt like this” You watched as Peter walked over kissing your head as you went shy. He sat you up checking a bandage on your shoulder. It was then you started to remember, started to feel the feelings you had then. You saw the tears form in Peter’s eyes as he looked at the slice on your back. You walked round getting a better view as you watched yourself kiss Peter for the first time. You felt the love the passion from every kiss you had shared since. As you watched a bright light started to blind you

Lydia’s voice brought you back to reality. The same light you had seen was now fading you saw a person in it, before you fainted.

Derek was speechless he had seen what ever was happening working. You came round and grabbed the picture to see the once blank space filled with a gorgeous looking Peter smiling at you.

Both Derek and Lydia now saw him in the picture too having some small memories of the former alpha. You looked around the loft certain you had seen him in the light

Scott called Derek saying the was a problem and the schools teacher Mr Douglas and the town was in trouble. “not to be rude but we need to go Liam, Hayden and Mason have all been taken” he said after putting the phone back in his pocket.

At the school Derek saw a rider and attacked him telling you to run. As you ran you saw Mr Douglas stood looking at you blocking the door. “miss y/l/n,” he spoke calm “you know I could use a powerful talented banshee working for me” you stopped walking backwards when a horse appears blocking the hallway. You work out your changes, the teacher could be your best chance when you hear him speak “come on y/n join at my side we can rule the world together” Mr Douglas says smiling holding out his hand. “she belongs at my side” you hear as something knocks the teacher out.

You look up your heart pounds in your chest as Peter hale stood there smirking at you, his eyes full of awe and love. “peter” you scream running into his arms. He holds your tight kissing you. It was the longest most loving kiss you’d had. “I knew you would never truly forget get me” you blush but still feel a little guilty you had forgotten him. He looks at you “is that my shirt your wearing?” He laughs “hey this shirt is how I started to remember you” you defend back. “how did you get” you go to ask but Peter already knew what you was going to say “you remembered me causing a portal to get me back I could hear you I came out at the school where the took me” he tells you

You and Peter ran to find Derek and help Scott stop the ghost riders. After you got back the loft, all the feeling of dread inside had gone everyone relaxed happy the town was safe. The guest room was again Peter’s room his things back the way it was. His 2 pictures of you both back to normal when the pack was leaving stiles offered you a lift home, “no I’m staying here” looking at Peter “your not leaving me again” peter kisses your lips “never” was all he said kissing you again

Title: Subtle Jealousy
Character: Danny Rand
A/n: I didn’t wanna make it exclusive so the author character in this is totally made up.

“So, what’s happening again?” Danny asked as he watched you run around the main floor of the shop, shoving books into shelves with impressive speed and accuracy. He had offered help, but you refused, wanting to get it done as soon as possible.

You huffed, placing the last few books where they needed to go and turned to him. “One of my favorite authors came in earlier today, him and I started having small talk whenever I ran him up and he invited me out to coffee whenever I was finished here.”

Danny looked up at you. “I thought you always locked up the shop? Unless it was an emergency.”

“I told Layla about what happened and she offered to cover for me,” You explained, smiling at whenever you were finally finished. “Besides, I think I’ve earned a night off to myself don’t you think?”

Danny gave you a small smile, watching you hop about the shelves. “What’s his name?”

“Neil Melville, he wrote these great couple of books a couple years ago when he was still in college,” You explained, your fingers flittered around a couple shelves until you located the first one and tossed it to him. “But he’s really great, you’d like his stuff.”

Danny looked down at the cover, it was brightly colored and showed various mystical creatures all over it, so he knew it was fantasy.

“Where are you two going?”

There a short humming noise from your end while you tried to get the store situated before you left. “I don’t actually remember the name, I’m gonna give him a ring before I go.”

“You have his number?”

You gave Danny a short smile before passing him with a short nudge on his shoulder. “Listen, I’ll make sure to call you if anything happens. But you really shouldn’t worry.”

Danny looked over to you and saw that you were adjusting the collar of your shirt over your cardigan and fixing up your hair. He didn’t even notice he has started to frown whenever he looked up and saw how grumpy he looked in the mirror.

He hopped down from the counter, sliding the book on to it. “I think I’m gonna head out,” Danny said, placing his hands into his pockets and giving you a small smile. “But lemme know how it all goes.”

“Why exactly does this matter to you so much?” Colleen asked as she tried to measure up how much duct tape she would need to fix the one arm of her punching dummy. “And more importantly, why did you think to come to me? I get I’m your friend, but relationships aren’t exactly my specialty.”

Danny, who was sitting crossed legged on the floor, looked down at the mat and shrugged. “I dunno, you’re the only person besides (Y/n) that I talk to.”

Colleen tore a long peice of duct tape from the roll and turned back to him. “From what I’ve heard, this seems like a textbook example of jealousy, my friend.”

Danny’s posture straightened up and he frowned. “Why would I be jealous? That doesn’t make any sense.”

Colleen gave him a coy smile. “Yes it does. You have feelings for your old childhood friend, simple.” She turned back and began taping the wooden arm to it’s proper place.

Danny jumped to his feet. “No I don’t! I’m just concerned about her well being!”

“Mhm,” Colleen looked up at him skeptically. “Alright then, answer me this,” She started, leaning against the center of the training dummy once the arm was secure. “If (Y/n) were to continue to see this guy,” She instantly saw the shift in Danny’s eyes but kept going. “And eventually she starts spending more time with him than you, how would you feel?”

Colleen smriked at the grumpy frown that started to take up his face. She knew all about Danny’s feelings for you when she saw the way he looked at you when he brought her to your shop one day.

You and her got into a lengthy discussion about some novel and while you were going on a tangent, Colleen glanced over at Danny and saw him giving you the most enamored expression she’d seen on a person that wasn’t in a film.

Danny thought about it, and the answer was pretty simple. He hated the thought, it was bad enought that tonight was when the two of you usually went out into the city to do something together, but now the idea that someone would take up all of your time made him upset.

“I wouldn’t like it at all.”

Colleen nodded, pointing the roll of duct tape at him. “Then I hate to break it you, but you’re jealous.”

Still in denial, Danny looked up at her. “I don’t think she’d start going off with someone all the time, she’s not the type.”

“People change when they’re in love.”

“Who said anything about love?” Danny’s tone might have been a tad more sharp than be anticipated because Colleen was smirking again.

“Oh yeah, classic case of jealousy.”

Danny looked across the street at the coffee shop where you were seeing Neil. Not long after you got there, you sent Danny a small message letting him know where you were and that everything had been fine so he shouldn’t worry.

Still, everything about the situation seemed off to him. There was a nagging feeling in his chest that screamed that it didn’t like what was going on.

But it was all new to him, he had never felt this sort of way before.

But he knew he didn’t like it.

Especially since even across the street he could easily you and Neil sitting at a table next to the window. You and him appeared to be chatting up a storm, and Danny had never seen your eyes light up so much around another person.

Deciding to take the initiative, Danny crossed the street and entered into the busy coffee house, hiding himself behind a tall bookshelf so he could see exactly what was happening.

You two must have been discussing one of Neil’s books, because you began bringng up character arcs and other literary terms Danny didn’t fully understand.

But then, there was a brief moment when Neil’s hand brushed against yours and it prompted Danny immediately to walk over to the table without even thinking.

You saw him instantly due to your seating, and you gave him a confused expression when you did. “Danny? What are you doing here?”

Danny blinked, not exactly sure why he came over or how he was going to talk his way out of it.

“Are you a friend of (Y/n)?” Neil asked, prompting Danny to turn his attention to him instead.

“Yes! I am! A very close childhood friend!” Danny said, introducing himself as the two of them shook hands.

“I hate to interrupt, but Colleen had something happen at the dojo and we could really use another hand.”

You turned back to Neil and gave him an apologetic smile. “I’d hate to cut this short, but would you mind if I stepped out?”

Neil shook his head. “Of course not, we can always make time to talk again.”

Danny watched the two of you bid each other goodbye before Neil left the coffee house.

“So, what’s up with Colleen?”

Danny’s eyes widened for a moment when he remembered his small white lie. But his phone went off and when he looked at the screen it was a message from her asking where he ran off to.

“Actually, she just let me know that she called a guy to come over to look at the thing.”

You looked puzzled again. “Really? Maybe I should call Neil again then.”

Danny perked up. “Well on my way here, I saw that the movie theatre down the street is showing your favorite film, thought you might be interested in going with me since we’re already here.”

You smiled at him. “Today’s when we usually go out isn’t it?” You asked, to which Danny eagerly nodded and held his hand out to you, making you chuckled and placine your hand in his. “Lead the way.”

Danny laughed and the two of you left the coffee house, once outside you gave his hand a small press.

“You don’t have to go through all that trouble and lie to hang out with me, just let me know next time.”

Danny flashed you a guilty smile. “It worked though, didn’t it?”

Imagine finding out something amazing with Chris.

A/N: Part 4! Let’s call this one the calm before the storm. 😏 You can read the previous parts here: (‘Charlotte Rose’ - Part 1/Part 2/Part 3) and (‘Drunk Minds, Sober Hearts’; 'Baby Fever’; 'Memory Lane’; and 'Little Ones’ - Masterlist) Enjoy. X

You’d entered the kitchen with your phone against your ear and a print of your completed script in your hand. You were on the phone with Alex, discussing the meetings he’d line up for you that day. You’d finally finished after months of hard work and were up to meeting with production companies and their chosen directors to make your pitch and hear theirs, as well as decide on who you wanted to trust with 'Charlotte Rose’ as it was a script that meant a lot to you. You’d already declined numerous production companies and their directors with only one company left; 'Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’. You were hoping things would work out, otherwise you were going to have to revisit or put the script aside until the right director came along.

The story was about Charlotte Rose, a blind violinist, who traveled the world inspiring those with disabilities aspiring to be musicians. You’d gotten the idea on your last day in Rome while you were on your romantic trip with your husband. You were checking out of the hotel when you heard beautifully played music coming from the hotel’s café. You’d always loved the melodies that violins offered, so you left Chris to deal with the bags while you made a detour.

It surprised you when you saw that the musician was blind, but what surprised you even more was how kind and positive she was when you spoke with her. You didn’t have a lot of time to speak with her as your cab was waiting for you, but by the end of the ten minute conversation, you’d decided Rosita’s story was one worth telling. You told her you were a screen wright and asked if she would be okay with you loosely basing a story around her. She was very touched by the offer and even gave you her contact detail if you ever needed to ask her any questions about anything. Other than you and Chris, she was the only other person who got to review your script the second you were done with it; you’d personally read the whole thing from cover to cover and recorded it like an audiobook just for her, because without her, you wouldn’t have a story to tell.

“Bud, you can’t just eat all the marshmallows and not the cereal.” You heard Chris tell your son and you looked over at them, chuckling softly while listening to Alex. “You have to eat it all,” Chris pushed the bowl back towards Jack who’d pushed it away after he claimed he was finished with.

“But Daddy, the marshmallows are the only parts I like.” Jack pouted when Chris pointed at the bowl, facials informing your son he had no choice but to finish it. “Fine,” he huffed and picked up his spoon again, passive-aggressively clinking his spoon against his plastic bowl as he ate his- most likely soggy- cereal.

You tuned back into your phone call when you heard Alex ask for your confirmation, “yeah, I’m going to head over now.” You said and Chris looked up at you with narrowed eyes; he, too, had a meeting he had to leave for now. “See you in a bit,” you bid Alex goodbye then hung up.

“Hey, babe?” Chris called from the dining table.

“Hm?” You hummed; you were too busy gathering your materials to look up at him.

“Are you headed out?” He quizzed and you looked up.

“Yeah,” you nodded as you walked over to kiss your boys goodbye. Jack giggled and squirmed away when you tried to give him a playfully loud smack on the cheek, whereas Chris turned his head to have you meet his lips instead. “I’m going to need you to drop Jack off at preschool today, I’ve got a meeting to run to.” You told him and he pressed his lips together. “What?” You felt your eyes narrow at his expression.

“I’ve got a meeting to run to too,” he answered with a wince. “We’re meeting the writer today to try and convince him or her to give us the movie rights. I told you the other night and you said…” He trailed off when he saw realization pool in your eyes and heard you cuss under your breath. “I’m meant to be leaving now, I just thought I’d help get Jack through breakfast seeing as you were still on the phone with Alex.”

“Oh my God, Chris,” you covered your mouth, “I honestly forgot.”

“You know what, it’s fine.” He chuckled and quickly tried to calm things when he saw you start to run a hand through your hair; an obvious tick when you were stressed out. “I’ll call them and tell them I’m going to be la-”

“No,” you shook your head, letting out a quick breath. “I’ll drop Jack off, you go to your meeting.” Chris tried to argue, but you didn’t give him a chance. “It’s fine, babe. You can’t be late for yours whereas I can afford to because they’re trying to win me over.” You chuckled when he did. “Just go, I’ll see you later.”

“I love you,” he quickly pecked you on the cheek as he got to his feet.

“I love you too,” you smiled and gave him a small wave as he rushed for the front door, disappearing around the corner and down the hallway. “Good luck, Captain,” you called, “you’re going to nail it!”

“You too, sweetheart!” You heard him call back then the front door slam shut.

• • • • • • • •

You spotted Alex waiting outside the restaurant as you pulled into the parking lot. You winced when you saw him tap at his watch and quickly mouthed a “sorry” even though he probably couldn’t see what you were saying. You got out of the car, grabbing your bag and files as you did, and made your way over to him.

“I am so sorry, Alex,” you told him and he chuckled softly; he knew you had a hectic schedule so he couldn’t be too mad at you. “Chris had a meeting to get to and I had to drop Jack off at preschool and there was a huge-”

“Don’t worry about it,” Alex cut you off with a smile. “They’re surprisingly understanding at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Most of them are parents themselves, so they understand what life is like with kids. Plus they’re all so interested in working with you that you could’ve left them waiting an extra hour and they’d still bend over backwards to get you to sign your script over to them.” You chuckled softly at that. “You’re fine, now let’s go in.” He said and led you inside. “I think you’re going to be very happy with the director they’re offering, it’s someone you’ve been wanting to work with for a while now.”

“I think you should know by now that a name isn’t all that’s going to win me over,” you responded with a chuckle and he nodded, sighing. You’d declined a few big names over the past few days, some you’d dreamed about working with since you started in the industry. “I need to know that I can trust the person with my work, Alex. I’m passionate about telling the story right, so if the director can’t meet my vision then- I’m not going to say yes.”

“I know. But trust me,” Alex bit back his smile as he stopped in front of the door of the private room. “This director is definitely going to meet your vision. He’s got a very unique mindset, one that I believe matches yours perfectly. In fact, I’d say he is worthy of being your soulmate.” He commented and you felt your eyes narrow in confusion. You’d no clue what he was talking about, nor were you in the right mind to figure it out; pregnancy brain was kind of kicking your ass a little. “You’ll see what I mean in a second.” He pushed the door open and stepped aside, holding out an arm to gesture you in first. “After you, Y/N.”

You walked into the room and felt your jaw drop at the sight of your husband sitting amongst a small group of men and women. “Chris?” You narrowed your eyes at him; he looked up at you and felt his own jaw drop. “What is happening here?” You asked as you turned to Alex, who was trying his utmost best not to laugh at your reaction.

“This is why they wouldn’t mention names,” Chris mumbled to himself then smiled when he realized what this meant; you were the mysterious nameless writer they wanted him to work with. “Oh my God,” he slapped his knee, grinning excitedly. “I can’t believe I’m finally going to be able to work with my wife.”

“As you can see, your director will be Chris Evans if you choose to sign on with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer,” Alex informed you, smiling. You chuckled with a shake of your head, smiling at Chris who could not wipe his grin from his handsome face. “I thought I’d keep things fair and keep your husband for the last meeting, otherwise you wouldn’t even give the first five a shot.”

“And what makes you think I’m going to give my husband a shot?” You quizzed, smirking at Chris who was trying hard not to laugh. “Just because he’s my husband doesn’t mean I’m just going to trust him with my work, he’s still going to have to win me over.”

“Your wife is a tough one,” you heard one of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s representatives say to Chris and you saw him chuckle and nod in response. “Here we were thinking getting you to direct meant getting her script.” Chris looked up at you, smiling as he chewed on his middle finger. “I guess we were wrong about that,” the man chuckled softly.

“Don’t worry,” Chris dropped his hand, smirking. You bit back your smile as your husband said smugly, “I’m very good at winning her over. Case in point,” he held up his hand, letting his wedding band glisten under the fluorescent light. “Getting her to have a kid was another tough one, but here we are expecting a second one.” You chuckled softly, absent-mindedly smoothing your hand over your belly. “This is going to be a piece of cake. Isn’t that right, sweetheart?”

“If you say so, Captain,” you felt your own smirk appear as you took your seat opposite Chris. You slid copies of your script across the table at your husband and his employers. “Now let’s see what you’ve got to bring to the table.”

What A Wonderful Night

Title: What A Wonderful Night

Pairing: DiNozzo x Reader

Word count: 1,755

Warnings: fluff

A/N: This is an OLD fic I wrote a LONG time ago. So I apologize for that, but I know I don’t have too many Tony fics, so enjoy! Feedback is welcomed and appreciated! I love you all so much! <3 <3

You sighed at your watch, it was 8 p.m. on a Friday night.  You were supposed to be picked up by your best friend, but she didn’t show up.  You paced the sidewalk outside of your work building, NCIS.  You’d been working there for almost two years.  Your favorite person in the office to talk to was Tony DiNozzo.  Little did he know how much you adored him, how much you loved his movie references and the winks he would throw your way.

“[Y/N],” Tony spoke as he walked towards you.  You knew he did his best work at night.  You figured he was probably leaving to get food and then coming back to work.  “What are you still doing out here?  I thought you were going somewhere with your lady friend,” he mused wriggling his eyebrows.

“I thought so too,” you frowned.  Your phone made a noise letting you know you had received a text message.  It was your best friend, she was letting you know that she was going to her boyfriend’s house instead and apologized.  You huffed and threw your phone into the pocket of your coat.  “Well, now I know for sure that my night is ruined,” you said throwing your arms in the air.

I just saw pirates 5 and I’m so happy!!!!! I love this movie! I had the best time ever. Really, it was amazing! Johnny is awesome and I love him even more now ❤️ The cast is great and the soundtrack gave me chills. It brought me so many memories. If you haven’t watched it yet, you definitely should! Pirates Life! ☠️

Falling for Them (part five)

“Zack can I talk to you” you sighed sitting next to the boy of the cliffs edge. Training had just wrapped up the others had headed home.

“Sure Y/N what’s up” the black ranger was looking over the town but you couldn’t help but look at him. Zack was looked down on in school compared to the others, yeah sure he was loud and sometimes his impulses made him do some things that people frowned upon. But he was sweet and calm around you and a great listener and you thought it was unfair that someone like Zack didn’t get the positive recognition he deserved. He was also a super mamma’s boy which made him even more adorable.

“Have I done something wrong it’s just the last week or so everyone else has been avoiding me, Jason refuses to train with me now, Kim and Trini have cancelled our coffee dates and Billy acts the way he did the first time around me. You’re the only one on the team who’s actually just been normal around me.” Zack’s gaze had gone from the town and now onto you normally you took this as a good thing that he was listing to you but the expression he held was something else.

“Okay Y/N I’m going to be honest with you right now don’t talk until I’m done, we like you a lot definitely a lot more then a friend and a team member. Of course when you first joined we thought as you as family like we all think of one another but lately we’ve began to develop feelings for you like wanting to hold your hand and kiss you in school. Trini and Kim were the first to feel it then we all followed afterwards you’re a great person inside and out and watching you grown and bound with everyone just made us realise how much we all love you. So the others distanced themselves with you because none of us want to lose you”

They loved you and that’s when it hit you why you’d been feeling so down lately without them around you was because you loved them as well. The way Zack always listened to your problems, how sweet Billy was when he was tutoring you and calming you down when you worked yourself up over getting something wrong, the coffee dates with Trini and Kim where the three of you laughed over everything and everyone and finally Jason the way he helped you trained but also surprised you with your favourite chocolate on a day of a test. You loved them all of them you could picture holding hands and kissing them all like they did with you.

“I love you all too” you wasn’t sure Zack caught on to what you said until you saw his face his eyebrows furrowed together.

“You do” you just nodded a huge grin braking onto his face whilst you did. Before you could even think Zack’s lips were on yours in a hurry not lasting a minute. When you pulled apart Zack had a huge blush on his face and was holding his phone trying to cover it.

“We need to meet the others”

Title: Minor Set Back
Character: Jake Peralta
Previous Part: http://ofnifflersandkings.tumblr.com/post/164256777712/title-operation-match-making-character-jake

Jake leaned back in his desk chair, arms folded across his chest as a small pout took up his face. His gaze was cemented to your desk where you and Amy were having a conversation and laughing. His eyes narrowed and he pulled a face at Amy, who looked at him with a knowing smile before turning back to you.

After the first successful coversation over coffee, Jake had tried to do so again for the past week. But everytime he even thought about moving to the kitchen, Amy would rush past him, two coffee cups already in her hands so he couldn’t get to you.

“I hate that woman.” Jake mumbled to himself, nearly having a heart attack when Charles came rolling up in his chair behind him.

“Oh, so the romancing didn’t go too well?” He asked, observing the two ladies chat about something with happy faces. “I mean hey, you’ll find someone eventually, and at least Amy gets a friend.”

Jake swiveled his chair around. “What? No? I was talking about Santiago. I’m still trying to win over (Y/n).” His brows knitted together as he tried to scheme up a plan.

Charles nodded. “Huh, well didn’t you get her number? What did you learn about her?”

Jake sighed, casting his eyes down at his hands. “Not much, just that she’s kind of,” He paused, looking up at you mid laugh while he smiled. “Wonderful.”

Charles moved closer to him. “Really? Tell me about her?” He encouraged, practically bouncing in his seat at the prospect of his best friend having a crush on someone.

Jake turned around so he was facing him. “For one, she’s a total movie nut, we had an intense three hour debate on which Die Hard movie was best. She’s not that into sports but she let me rant about the Mets game.” He went on a small tangent about the fun conversations the two of you had been having over the phone for the past week.

He only broke off when he saw Charles looking at him with a weird expression on his face. “What? Why are you giving me that look. It’s getting creepy.”

Charles just sighed. “Nothing, so are you gonna ask her out?”

“I’d like to but,” Jake lazily pointed to Amy. “Santiago’s been keeping her from me, and I wanted to ask in person.”

Charles ears perked up and he straightened his tie. “My time has come, I got you covered, buddy.”

Jake was about to ask him what he meant but Charles had already abandoned his chair and walked over to the two of you.

Whatever he said to Amy must have worked because in an instant she was grabbing her jacket and was out of the door.

Charles looked back at Jake and gave him a dramatic wink along with a thumbs up before leaving you alone at your desk.

Jake watched you work for a moment, suddenly feeling very warm and nervous now that he no longer had an excuse to not ask you out.

He stood up from his chair, walking over to your desk and cracking his knuckles to try and distract himself before he totally psyched himself out of asking you.

“(Y/n)! Hey! Long time, no see.” Jake said, plopping into the chair beside your desk with a smile.

You looked up from your work and gave him a puzzled smile. “What do you mean? I said hello to you when I saw you this morning.”

Jake laughed nervously. “Haha, yeah. What I actually meant to say was that,” His mind was running a total blank like it usually did around you. “Santiago left pretty suddenly huh? That was super weird.”

You laughed, pulling out your drawyer and revealing a collection of dozens of pencils tied together in different piles. “I know right? Apparently there was some kind of technical situation at her apartment and she had to step out.”

Jake reaching into your drawyer, pulling out one of the wads of pencils and observing them. “How come you have so many of these little dudes? Don’t they all do the same thing.”

You gave him a smile and shook your head. “I guess you could say that, but certain pencils are more sheer while others come off darker, some of them have different variations in line shape,” You noticed he had a confused expression on his face and you chuckled. “And you don’t really care about any of this, do you?”

“No! I think it’s kind of cool,” Jake said, taking one of the pencils out of the stack and twirling it in his hands. “I think anything that comes out of your mouth sounds cool,” He instantly looked up at you. “And that definitely sounded less weird in my head.”

“Thank you regardless,” You said, starting another draft of a criminal sketch for a recent statement a witness gave you. “It’s nice to have a conversation with you in person for a change, I feel like all we really do is text one another.”

Jake perked up, accidentally dropping the pencil onto the ground. “Yeah! I totally agree, which is actually what I wanted to come over and talk to you about,” He picked the pencil off the groun and started fidgeting with it. “I thought since it was Friday, you might wanna come over to my place after work.”

You smudged off a bit of your picture and then smiled at him before taking your pencil back. “I don’t think I’m busy, but yeah I’d love to.”

Jake clapped his hands loudly. “Great! Sounds like a plan.” He was mentally congratulating himself for a successful task completed as he went back to his desk.

“Uh, Jake,” You called back to him.

“Yeah?”

“I kinda, have to know where you live to go there.”

Jake’s brows shot up. “Oh! Yeah! That would be helpful wouldn’t it?” He dug into his jacket pockets and pulled a slip of paper out of one, grabbing a pen and scribbling his address. “Come around 8:30?”

You took the paper. “Works for me.”

“How’d it go? I could only read your facial expressions but it looked fine.” Charles asked whenever Jake pulled him into the locked room.

Jake scratched the back of his head and resisted the urge to start pacing. “I mean I think? She’s coming around my place later tonight.”

“That’s great!” Charles said with a happy clap of his hands. “You know, if this ends up going well I call dibs on being the Best Man at your wedding.”

Jake shook his head. “Let’s think about the present right now, if we’re being honest here, I have no idea what I’m doing.”

“It’s just a date isn’t it? Just do what you usually do.”

That was when Jake remembered something about your conversation. “I never specified that it was a date.”

“What do you mean?”

“I just asked if she wanted to hang out at my place” Jake said with a groan, placing his hands on his head.

“Oh that’s bad,” Charles said with knit brows. “That’s really bad, I don’t even think I’ve done that.”

“Thanks for the support, Charles, I really appreciate it.”

“It’s okay! It’s a simple fix, just go clarify it to her now!”

Jake swallowed, and his hands suddenly felt very clammy. “Yeah,” He said with a totally unintentional voice crack. “Yeah, I can do that.”

Charles clapped a hand on Jake’s shoulder. “I believe in ya, buddy.” He encouraged before leaving the locker room.

Jake tried.

He really did.

But anytime he would come up to you again, he’d open his mouth and nothing would come out.

It was like his body was telling him not to do it, because then you’d probably call off the whole thing.

You didn’t have to stay at the precinct as long as the detectives did on Fridays, so when you started putting on your coat and packing up your things, Jake started to panic.

Amy looked over computer at him. “Hey, you don’t look to great? Something wrong?”

Jake was about to think of some elaborate excuse when you came up to their desks.

“Hey Amy, how’s your apartment?”

“Funny thing, I went over to check and the maintenance guy said everything was totally normal. I tried asking Charles about it but his eyes bugged out and then he ran away.”

You tilted your head. “Weird,” You went to say something to Jake, but you noticed he looked a little sick. “Jake, are you alright? If you’re not feeling well we can just reschedule our date.”

The color instantly returned to his face and he sat up straight in his chair. “Date?”

“Oh, is that not what it is?”

Jake saw the minor disappointment in your eyes and he could have broken out into song. “I would absolutely not mind it being a date.”

You smiled. “Good, after all, you still owe me a portrait. I’ll see you later.” You said with a wink before walking away.

Amy looked over at Jake. “Did you just wheeze?”

Jake, who was watching you walk away with the most dazed look on his face, turned back to Amy. “That is definitely a possibility.”

Next Part: http://ofnifflersandkings.tumblr.com/post/164772517257/title-late-for-the-date-character-jake-peralta

Imagine Chris realizing he’s in-love with you. (Part B)

A/N: Part 4B, yay! This is honestly taking so long, I’m so sorry. The two of them are just insufferable. 😂 (Unexpected Reader - Part 1/Part 2/Part 3A/3B/Part 4A) Enjoy! X

You decided to skip the date with Sam after seeing Chris at your doorstep. You wanted to go, but you couldn’t do it; you couldn’t pretend to be interested in another man. So you left him- looking politely pissed as he was a nice guy and it was fairly obvious you were lying- with the excuse of a family emergency. Sam, compared to the other guys you’d agreed to date before you met Chris, was amazing; he shared your interests, he cared about you, he was funny and good looking and so ridiculously nice. You would’ve been lucky to date him, and you wouldn’t have mind if you had to date him, but that shouldn’t have been how it felt.

Falling in-love shouldn’t have felt like a chore, or like you were settling. You should have felt excitement and passion, but no, you felt nothing. Sam could’ve kissed you and you would’ve felt nothing because your mind would be thinking about Chris and how his lips would feel on yours instead. You knew when you said yes to Sam that you shouldn’t have, now you’d hurt the feelings of the nicest guy in your class because you couldn’t admit the one you were in-love with was Chris.

And now you were too late.

Since you couldn’t go home in fear of running into Chris, you spent your time wandering a mall instead. You bought things you didn’t need to distract yourself because retail therapy was something you always found incredibly effective. You then went to a movie alone, ‘Gifted’ was the movie you decided to watch. Again. This time, however, you entered the theatre feeling more vulnerable than when you watched it the first time. You were lucky there weren’t many people watching a 8:50PM movie on a Thursday night, because you sobbed like a baby and it wasn’t just because of the movie.

The second you saw Chris on screen, you broke down. He was the one and you weren’t going to get the life every being dreamed of when they found their soulmate. There wasn’t going to be a cute proposal, or a wedding. There wasn’t going to be a nice house, or a picket fence, or mini versions of you and him running around. There wasn’t going to be a surprise trips to Rome. There weren’t going to be articles about the two of you being a power couple, or taking home six Oscars with the film you made together. God, you weren’t even going to get to dance with him in your backyard listening to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’, because life wasn’t perfect and you couldn’t just write a story and expect it to come true.

The movie ended around 11:00PM and you took a cab back to your apartment. In the cab, when you finally turned on your phone- you saw text messages from both Ava and Chris. Ava sent you about five because she was understandably worried and confused by your absence in the apartment. You’d left at 1:30PM for a coffee date, you should’ve been home by 4:00PM at the latest. Ava knew you; you weren’t the type to prolong anything on the first date, especially considering the one you loved wasn’t the one you were with. You sent her a quick ‘I’m okay, on my way home’ text, then replied to Chris’ one which simply asked “are you okay?” Your thumb hovered over the send button as you reread your reply “no, we need to talk.” Were you really going to tell him now? Now that he was in a relationship with someone he undoubtedly could have forever with? Are you honestly that selfish? No, you weren’t. You deleted your four words and responded with a simple one, “perfect.”

The lights were out in the apartment by the time you arrived home, which meant Ava had gone to bed. She’d received and replied to your text; she knew you were okay now, so you’d didn’t blame her for not waiting up even though you could’ve used some company. It was nearly midnight and Ava had classes in the morning, unlike you who didn’t have anything on Fridays. You passed her room on the way to yours and quietly opened her door to leave a bag from Topshop by the foot of her bed; there was a dress you saw that you needed her to have.

“Hey,” you flinched when you heard her voice speak to you in the dark. “You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m good,” you lied with a forced smile that you were glad she couldn’t see and decipher. But she knew, she could hear it in your voice. “I’m sorry I worried and woke you,” you whispered, patting her foot through her blanket. “Go back to sleep, I’ll talk to you in the morning.”

“There’s something for you in your room,” she told you before rolling over to go back to sleep.

You quietly made your way back out, closing the door behind you. Your eyes narrowed as you walked to your room, you pushed open your ajar door and saw the bouquet of roses Chris had said were Ava’s and an envelope sitting on your bed. You lowered your shopping bags onto the ground and sat down on the edge of your bed as you picked the envelope up. It felt heavy, like there was a long, long letter waiting inside for you. You could tell by the handwriting that it was from Chris, you loved the way he’d scrawl everything else but write your name with utter perfection. You stared at it for a little while, contemplating whether or not you should read it. What could it have been? He always spoke to you in person, why did he need a letter now? Was this a letter ending your friendship because he was in a relationship now and the two of you were too close for Scarlett’s liking? You’d never even met the woman before, could she have known? You were terrified to read it, because what if after reading it, Chris was no longer in your life?

“Grow some fucking balls, Y/N,” you muttered to yourself before carefully ripping the envelope. You were right about it being a long letter, it was at least four pages. You decided to get comfortable before you started reading because you had a feeling it was going to be a bit of a read. Just in case, you grabbed your tissue box and settled it on your lap.

“He wrote a story,” you mumbled to yourself as soon as you caught sight of the first sentence.

She opened the letter wondering what he could possibly have to say to her, wondering why he couldn’t just say it to her in person. She was an irrational person with thoughts beyond herself; an imagination so wild and expectations so high that it both amazed and scared him. He knew when he gave her the letter that her mind would’ve had a hundred thoughts going at full speed before she even read it. She’d think a thousand bad things, and one good, because that was the kind of person she was; she spent her life searching for greatness and striving for perfection that she didn’t believe she deserve. She’d question everything good in her life, like they were just part of a vivid dream that she would wake up from. He was one of those things she questioned, and he didn’t understand it. To him, she was part of the vivid dream he was afraid he’d wake from. To him, he was the lucky one who didn’t deserve a girl like her.

The further she read, the more she realized he was writing her a letter because he felt the same way she did. She knew now why he chose to write instead of speak, because she was the same; she used written words as a way to articulate the constellation of thoughts she couldn’t use spoken words to. She also used her writing as a shield to hide behind so no one could see her cry, or hear how fast her heart was beating. She used writing to make sure she was the only voice one heard, and that was what he needed from her now; to hear him and nothing else.

How was that, Y/N? I’m not as big of a fan as English as you are, but I think I kind of nailed it. I just needed that to capture your attention as well as give you a bit of an introduction to what this letter is going to be about. You’re a writer, an incredibly talented writer, so you should be able to read between the lines of the first two paragraphs and realize that I, too, am in-love with you.

Yes, you read correctly.

I am in-love with you. Read it, read it again. I don’t care how many times you read that line, or this whole letter- I just need you to hear me and understand me. I am in-love with you, Y/N, and I want to be with you. I’m sorry it took me this long to tell you, I just couldn’t until I figure out why I loved you. I didn’t want to start something with you based on an illusion, and I didn’t want to love you because of the series. I wanted to be sure that what I was feeling- what we were feeling was because of who we are when we’re together now, not who were are when we’re in the story. I’m sorry if that doesn’t make sense and I’m sorry if I made you feel like I didn’t want to be with you because I did, and I do. From the moment I saw you at that check in talking to that little boy, Jasper, I wanted to be with you. Then you snapped at me and- God, I knew you were the one. I’m sorry I let fear get in the way, I’m sorry I wasted so much time not being the man you needed. But no more, I’m done being just friends.

I want more, I want a life with you. I’m sorry if I’m being too straight forward, but that is what I want. I know you’re only turning twenty and you’ve got this whole life ahead of you, so I’m not asking you to marry me. Yet. I’m going to marry you, oh- you bet I’m going to marry you. But I don’t have to marry you now, I’m very capable of waiting. I’ve waited almost thirty-six years to meet you, I can wait a little while longer to marry and start a life with you. I want you to go pursue your dreams first, write a screenplay for a big production company and win an Oscar. I’m going to be there with you every step of the way, just as I hope you will be there for me as I continue on my career’s journey.

I wouldn’t normally do something this extreme and futuristic, but you’re not a normal girl. You are the kind of girl who plans her entire life to the tee, you appreciate long term commitments and you don’t do causal well. You’re amazing and I’d be an idiot to let you walk away from me, even my mom said so. You haven’t met her, but she loves you already. If you agree to being with me, you can come with me to Boston on Sunday for the week. I’d love to spend some time with you (as your boyfriend) and have you meet my family before I have to go film Infinity War. I know this is a lot to process in a short amount of time, but I have a feeling you’ve thought about this before so it shouldn’t be hard for you to come up with an answer.

Call me when you’re ready to talk?

You read the last line and nearly fell face first as scrambled to your feet, grabbing your house keys and phone from your bag. There was no way you were going to just call him, you needed to see him in person. The smile on your face since reading the line 'I, too, am in-love with you’ hadn’t faltered. Christopher Robert Evans was in-love with you. It was time to go and do what Ava advised, “just grab that man and kiss him already.”

Part 5

Goodbye

Word count: 1784

You get stabbed and die in Kai’s arms

‘You can’t go!’ Kai stated, grabbing onto your arm as he didn’t want to let you go.

‘I just want to see what she wants.’ You replied, trying to get your arm out of his grip but his grip was so tight on you, scared to let you go. It didn’t hurt, it just showed how much he didn’t want to let you go or watch you getting hurt.

‘You know she always has a plan. It’s Katherine we’re talking about here. She always has a backup plan. Even when the first plan fails, she has another one and if that one fails, well, you see where I’m going.’

'Kai, nothing’s going to happen. I’ll be completely fine.’ You said and stepped closer and placed your arms on his arms. You’ve never seen him like this. The concern on his face wasn’t new to you, but the way he was looking at you at that moment was.

'I just don’t want to lose you. You know how much of a support you are to me. You get me through all the tough times.’ Kai muttered, his arms wrapping around your body and pulling your body closer to his, no space between them left. You lifted up your hand to his face and ran your fingers through his hair, locking your eyes with his. A smile shone on your face, his hands carefully and gently placed on your back.

'You’re not gonna lose me. That’s like not even in my plans in the near future. Or ever. Everything will be fine, you’ll see and we still have that date tonight.’ You added as Kai lifted you up, your legs wrapped around his waist. He spun you around, a simple and genuine laugh escaping your body, happiness traveling through your body.

'What, dancing? Of course.’ He said as he let you down on your feet and took you by your hands and made a few steps before he pulled you closer and then leaned you down, his strong arms holding you. 'Wouldn’t miss it for the world.’ He added and then leaned down aswell, his lips meeting yours.

'Now, I really have to go, but I’ll definitely see you in a couple of hours.’ You kissed him again, his arms wrapping around you one more time before you pulled away and walked out of the house. A smile suddenly disappeared from your face, nervousness and fear taking over your body. Meeting Katherine was probably a really bad idea, but maybe she wanted to bury the hatchet between you two. Even though you never fought Katherine in a physhical way because she’s a vampire and you were just a human, she never was one of those people you loved to be around so you fought most of the time. She did tried to kill you, but Kai saved you snd since then he’s worried about you. You understood that perfectly, but you were always optimistic and always thought Kai overreacted when it came to stuff like that. He was even scared to let you walk home alone at night after the movies with Elena. It was kind of annoying, but knowing you had someone who cared about you and always wanted to keep you safe.

You walked to the place Katherine told you and sat on a single bench around, Katherine nowhere to be seen. Street lights were barely shining, just one right next to you and even that one was flickering, creeping you out even more. There was no one around and if you said your heart wasn’t beating like crazy, you would’ve lied because you’ve never been more scared in your life than you were at that moment. Out of nowhere, you saw someone coming towards you as your hands started shaking. You got up and stood at one spot, frozen when Katherine approached you.

'No lover boy this time?’ Katherine asked and titlted her head to one side, grinning at you.

'What do you want Katherine? I think I made it clear that I don’t want to talk or see you anymore. Leave me alone so I can live my own life and-’

'With Kai? Yeah, I heard he became this cute, tamed guy because of you. Too bad. I liked him better when he was ruthless and didn’t care about anyone.’ She stated and walked around you slowly, trailing her hand along your arm and your back.

'What do you even need from me?’ You asked her, not feeling so scared anymore. Courage grew in you as minutes passed. You’ve always been strong and a little bit reckless, rush into trouble, which Kai absolutely hated.

'I don’t need anything from you. I actually can’t come up with anything I would want from you. You’re just a useless and fragile human.’ She trailed off and sat down on the bench behind you, crossing her legs.

'Then what the hell am I even doing here? If you don’t need anything, I’ll just go home because being here is just a waste of my time.’ You said as you wanted to turn around and leave but she grabbed your arm, squeezing it tightly. Your brows furrowed as you winced out in pain, her grip on you getting tighter and tighter. It felt like she was about to break your arm and it looked like that’s exactly what she wanted to do.

'Katherine, stop! You’re hurting me!’ You desperately tried to move her hand from your arm, but unsuccessfully. She came closer, her face only a few inches from yours. She leaned in, her lips against your ear.

'I want Kai. Actually Kai’s help.’ She let you go and sat on the bench again, her gaze strongly focused on you.

'What do you want from Kai?’ At that moment you knew she had something planned.

'I need his help, but, I need the old Kai. You know, the bad Kai who would do anything to get his revenge and Kai who wasn’t in love so… that’s why you’re here. I know Kai will be here any minute because he can’t resist staying away from you and I don’t understand the urge to protect you all the time.’

'I don’t understand.’

'Oh god, of course it’s too complicated for you. What I wanted to say was you’re in the way. Kai is weak because of you and I need him because he can do what I want. He can do magic but what I need is something really remorseless and the only way he would accept it is if I take away the only person he loves and cares about.’ You swallowed hard and took a few steps back, trying to get away from her. Running wasn’t an option at all because she would catch you in a second. She quickly got up and grabbed your arm again. Your eyes started watering, your breathing turned fast and shallow.

'Please don’t hurt me.’ You begged her, her grip firm on your arm.

'Oh look. She’s cying. You know that won’t help you at all. Nothing can help you right now.’ She smiled and looked behind you for a second. A grin appeared on her face before she locked her eyes with yours and then stabbed you with a knife, leaving it in your body as she ran away from you, your body hitting the cold and damp street. You heard a scream behind you but were unable to look, your head hitting the floor.

'No, no! You can’t, no!’ You heard a male voice, immediately realizing it was Kai. He lifted your upper body up a little bit on his lap, his hand supporting your head.

'Kai’ you said, your voice barely audible, Kai’s eyes filled with tears.

'Shhh, you’re gonna be ok. I know that. You’re gonna be fine.’ He looked down at your wound and then back at you, his hand gently caressing your hair. His hands were shaking like never before, panic obvious on his face.

'I'm… I wanna tell you something.’ You whispered, a weak smile appearing on your pale face.

'No, no, you’re not leaving me.’ He said desperately, his arms pressing you closer to his body.

'I love you. Don’t ever forget that and don’t let anyone tell you you’re not worth it. You are and don’t ever let them tell you otherwise.’ Kai closed his eyes as tears rolled down his cheeks.

'You can’t leave me, I can’t do this without you.’

'You can but promise me something.’ You coughed, blood visible on your lips. You felt your body getting weaker with each second, but you weren’t ready to let go. You weren’t ready to say goodbye to Kai, your only true love. There were no words that could explain how much you loved him, his jokes, the weird things he always did when you two were alone.

'Anything, tell me.’ He muttered, his voice shaky.

'Promise me you won’t do anything reckless and promise me you won’t forget me. Don’t forget how much I love you.’

'I promise. I promise you, I do, but you can’t leave me now.’

'I have to.’ You whispered, your eyelids getting heavier and you breathing turning weaker.

'You can’t because, you owe me a dance, remember?  Just the two of us.’ He trailed off and moved a small lock of hair from your face.

'I didn’t forget, but we’re gonna have to do it some other time.’ You smiled at him and heavily lifted your hand up to his face, your hand resting on his cheek softly as you caressed his cheek with you thumb.

'No, please.’

'I love you, Kai.’ You whispered and smiled at him, looking at him for the last time. You slowly let go, your hand falling down on your body from his cheek, your body resting in Kai’s arms.

'No!’ Kai screamed out as he brought your body close to his chest, his arms wrapped around you tightly, not wanting to let you go. Tears were streaming down his face, his body feeling as if he was tearing apart. He looked at you and kissed your cold lips for the last time, his hand closing your eyes.

'I love you.’ He whispered and gave you a kiss on the cheek, his whole body shaking. He never thought he would have to let you go in this way or any way. You were his true love and he was yours. He loved you with all his heart and soul, loving everything about you and losing you was the hardest moment he had to go through in his life, but he had to let you go, knowing he was loved by you.
