Although Yinsen had remained vigorous with his ablutions, Stark had let himself go. This had nothing to do with any sense of giving in to misery or despair, as might have once been the case. Instead, for Tony Stark, this was business as usual. In the normal course of his normal life, once Stark became caught up in the throes of creation, personal hygiene went out the window. It usually fell to the disembodied promptings of Jarvis, or failing that, the corporeal prodding from Pepper, to remind Stark that he should think about changing the clothes he’d been wearing for three days or maybe run a razor across the bushy growth that was accruing on his face.

After the first day or so, Yinsen had simply taken to staying the hell out of Stark’s way. He had even stopped asking Stark if he was hungry since he tended not to receive answers. Instead, every so often, he would just put out food for Stark, who would - sooner or later - eat it without looking at it or even noticing that he was doing so.

why twelve is beautiful & magnificent  ♡  s e r i e s  1 0

Imagine if time all happened at once. Every moment of your life laid out around you…like a city. Streets full of buildings made of days. The day you were born, the day you die. The day you fall in love, the day that love ends. A whole city built from triumph and heartbreak and boredom and laughter and cutting your toenails. It’s the best place you will ever be.

Rick: *ignores the fact that his two grandkids have been psychologically destroyed thanks to him (with one going full nihilist and one who’s already tried to kill him once this season) and laughs it off*

Fans: did you see :):):) Rick and Beth are getting drinks :):):) they’re bonding :):):)

So Netflix really out there cancelling out of the best shows? Sense8 was amazing, it had good LGBT representation, characters with different races and cultures, beautiful cinematography, interesting plots and an amazing writing.

They also had the nerve to cancel The Get Down earlier this month, a show were the cast was 99% Black/Latinx and now they are coming for the only diverse show left.

Netflix actually keep 13 reasons why that didn’t even needed a second season because it was legit only ONE BOOK, Hannah is dead and the 13 reasons are known plus the producers of the show ignored the warnings and got people wih mental illness suicidal but of course money and mainstream media speaks louder.

Sense8 and The Get Down deserved better. The LGBT community deserves better and so did the minorities represented in those shows. To everyone that didn’t got to see sense8 I recommend you to do so and fall in love with the beauty that was the show and the intriguing plot lines.

I understand that both series had a big budget but if the reason to cancel sense8 was the expensive locations then for anyone who watched the season 2 finale knows that for season 3 location wasn’t going to be an issue. PLUS Netflix did a terrible job promoting both shows so idk how they could’ve expected a bigger audience.

I like Mary. I think she's awesome. I don't see why she has to be evil.

Oh, boy, okay.

Listen you can like Mary all you want – I loved her too before the fucked up her entire story arc – but her entire arc was building up to be a villain, and a badass one that was going to go down with a fight.

I’m REALLY not trying to be pedantic here, Nonny, but asks like this force me to pull out receipts, all of which I’m sure you’re not going to read, because who likes to be proved wrong, but I digress. I always end up sounding more harsh than I am when all I want to do is educate you on my perspective and what the narrative is teaching us.

THAT’S Why she’s a villain. When a character kills the title character of a show, they are coded as the bad guy unless they do a redemption arc that actually is a redemption.

Mary had NO redemption arc AT ALL. Even in S4, Mary is STILL manipulating and emotionally abusing Sherlock and John against each other with her fucking creepy-assed DVDs and her belittling of John in T6T. She still runs off to go do her little assassin things and still lied and manipulated everyone. And I know the argument is going to come up, but Mary’s gunshot was NOT a redemption. A redemption arc has the ex-villain doing a good deed and being genuinely sorry for their past actions. Not ONCE Mary has ever apologized for any of the shit she put everyone through. All of it was a plan, especially if she had creepy DVDs made FAIRLY RECENTLY (you can tell because of the hair style) to send out to people. Also:

YOU ARE EVIL IF YOU ACTIVELY OR POSTHUMOUSLY TELL SOMEONE TO GO KILL THEMSELVES.

That and Mary’s entire death scene was RIDICULOUS and completely contradicted EVERY rule that was established in this universe only 2 episodes prior on how characters die.

Nonny, Mary’s character arc is one I have been passionate about for many years, even before I was a Johnlocker, because her character was fascinating to me, and helped me understand the psychology and make sense of events that were happening in my life at the time. Right up until TAB, Mary was being coded as the next Moriarty. For some reason or another, Mofftiss decided to turn her into an “assassin with an heart of gold” and failed spectacularly.

If Mary truly was good, she WOULD HAVE TOLD JOHN FROM THE BEGINNING WHO SHE WAS, OR AT LEAST TOLD SHERLOCK SHE NEEDED HELP. HLV would have not played out as it did. Instead deciding that killing Sherlock was her only option so that she could continue to manipulate John, since she knew he was most malleable when he was grieving Sherlock.

You can read Mary’s character however you want, I could care less… well okay apparently I do because of this reply… But please, seriously consider that what became of her character really made no goddamned sense to the narrative arc the built for her and quite frankly really lazy writing. Just because she is a woman, doesn’t mean that she is nice and sweet and not abusive. Excusing her of her brand of emotional abuse and manipulation is really sexist.

People thought my mother was a nice person, too.

(1/6) "Well you've caught me, Hunter," the Jinn sneered, not even bothering to stand up. Dean untied the only still-living victim - a recent catch who was able to run, and run he quickly did. Dean checked the ammo in his gun with detached muscle memory. "Well?" the Jinn prompted, annoyed. "On your feat," Dean said. The Jinn smirked. "Ah, want me to stand for my execution." Dean watched him without seeing him; his mind focused on something more important and final. "No, not that," Dean said.

(2/6) The Jinn narrowed his eyes - skeptical. “Then what? Torture?” It was Dean’s turn to smirk, a sad turn of his mouth. “It is worse than death, isn’t it…” he said quietly to himself. Then fixed his gaze once more. “Look, I know Jinn don’t grant wishes,” Dean said. “I know how this ride works because I’ve been on it before. It’s all a lie - a dream - a gilded cage. But–” Dean swallowed and blinked, strengthening what was left of his resolve. “If this is the real world… I’ll take the lie.”

(3/6) Dean’s hand was on the door. He couldn’t remember what he was doing. He just stood there, confused. Then the door opened for him from the other side and a woman greeted him warmly. “There you are,” she said with a smile and a friendly touch. “Come on, we’re doing presents soon.” She pulled Dean into the room. “Mom?” Dean half-choked, blinking at the brightness of it all. There was a Christmas tree with lights and presents, and there was cake and pie and drinks on the all bunker tables.

(4/6) “What is all this?” Dean asked. “Something we should have done a long time ago,” his mother beamed. She caught Sam’s eye and wandered off to stand with him as he introduced her to the girl under his arm - Eileen. “Hey Dean–” said Kevin, before Charlie ambushed him in a hug. “Sorry, tried to warn you,” Kevin shrugged. The two kids went off to get snacks. Dean stared in disbelief. The more he looked the more faces he recognized. His heart ached for it but he felt it growing lighter now.

(5/6) Yet something told him this was all too good to be true. It couldn’t happen like this. But here it was. Why couldn’t he just accept that. Dean closed his eyes and rubbed at his face, taking a slow deep breath. And then he felt a hand on his shoulder. “Hey. Feeling okay?” The voice washed over him like a powerful ocean. And Dean remembered. He was okay. It was Christmas. And everyone was here. He opened his eyes. “It’s you,” he said. “Of course,” Cas smiled. Dean sighed. Everything was–

(6/6) “Dean! Dean, wake up. Come on!” The world was dark. The world was pain and aches and cold. His body was being shaken. The side of his face sting from the hard slap. “Dean!” The voice said as his eyes fluttered open. The blurry shape came into focus. Sam. Bringing him back. On the ground the Jinn was dead. And Dean remembered. Everyone was– Everything was– was– “Dean?” Sam said, gripping his shoulders. “It’s okay now.” Dean closed his eyes again and let out a quiet breath. “–no.”
