that might happen again

Me: I have very high standards!
Everyone: -submits their fanart/fanfics-
Me: YOU’RE MEETING ALL MY STANDARDS!!!!11!!

I’m sorry. Not really. I just love all your fanarts.

I knew, in the silence that followed, that anything could happen here. It might be too late: again, I might have missed my chance. But I would at least know I tried, that I took my heart and extended my hand, whatever the outcome.
“Okay,” he said. He took a breath. “What would you do, if you could do anything?”
I took a step toward him, closing the space between us. “This,” I said. And then I kissed him.

Twitter and the ARG?

Two hours ago, contactjhw and contactsh were contacted by an entirely new account on twitter that goes by the name of denomdeplume. If you’re following the accounts, you know they’re in Amsterdam right now, and apparently they met up with denomdeplume at 1pm at a location they tweeted a picture of and which should be entirely identifiable.

This seems like exactly the sort of thing we should be looking out for in the context of an ARG. If someone here is currently in Amsterdam, maybe they could check out this location? And if something like this happens again, I’d think it might be something we’re supposed to react to.

(Also: denomdeplume is a really suspicious twitter handle in this context tbh.)

@teapotsubtext @jenna221b @toxicsemicolon @marcespot idk who to tag

uhmm... do you guys hear that?

You shouldn't make fun of US so much, ya know? You have just one year from your elections and ADF is likely to win. Germany isn't better than US. That's for sure. Is not your country who first invited all the immigrants from Middle East and than closed the boarders making Greece and Italy dealing with this shit show all by themselves and and pushing U.K. out of the EU because of your constant idea of a Germanic Europe?

  1. Trump won the election. Even if Hillary won the popular vote, almost half of people who voted, voted for Trump. In a recent poll the AFD had 13.5%. While that is still too much, it is not even close to “winning the election”. The next chancellor will not be from the AFD. No even mentioning that refugees will probably be not as big a topic in a year as they are now, the AFD might lose point again, depending on what happens.
  2. The German borders are not closed. The European Union has currently closed its borders to refugees because of a deal with Turkey. Many people oppose that, the German government played a role in negotiating that deal, yes, however it was still a European decision. Which Greece and Italy are a part of. It was not solely a German decision. Germany’s borders are still open.
  3. The UK voted to leave. Germany did not. Merkel actually played a key role in negotiating new terms for a continued membership of the European Union (http://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/policies/uk/2016-uk-settlement-process-timeline/). The UK had great new terms for their membership, everything they wanted. They still voted to leave. Also Germany has the biggest economy and the biggest population in the EU. Of course they will play a big role in it.
  4. We will make fun of the US all we want. We have universal healthcare, anti-hate-speech laws, paid vacation, paid maternity leave, we have banned the symbols of our racist past, in contrast to the confederate flag in the US. We don’t scream into everyone’s faces that we are better at everything and better than everyone. We don’t call ourselves the greatest country in the world. Germany has its fair share of problems. We freely admit that. But at least we try.

America messed up. Stop insulting people who point that out, for the first time in a long while, start reflecting a bit on your own fuck ups.

This could have been a productive discussion about the flaws of our respective countries. But you had to be an American asshole.

What are your thoughts about today's episode?

A very light episode, just like Trickstar, even though it introduced one of the members of the High Commission of Magic, already seen in Page Turner, Omnitraxius Prime, who might appear again in Crystal Clear on Wednesday. Not much happens in the episode itself, and the revelation about parallel universes is likely never going to have any real effect on the show (even though one can never know). Some nice Star-centric gags, some AUs designs to make the fans happy
I really liked the theme of Star having to actually work on the problem, with no shortcuts this time, and things being ok even if she failed, because this time she really did try. It’s an important lesson for someone like Star who always runs away from her problems (usually more figuratively than this time), and it might be back during a confrontation with Ludo/another big villain, as “we fought with all our strength, we still lost, but it doesn’t matter. We knew it wouldn’t have been easy, we’ll just try again”.

And the storyboarders really nailed Star’s body language.

the thing is louis always makes it so obvious when hes over it like in the beginning he really does try to play along as much as he can so thats why i know for a fact that if this is happening its gonna be extra cause the beginning always is when it comes to louis and stunting but then a few weeks go by and you can start seeing him tense and annoyed and over it and he does try once in a blue but gives up after like 5 minutes lol so just know whatever might happen may be extra now but just know it ! will ! past !!! again yachtgate was a week of hell for NOTHING but media attention like none of this drama will last long cause louis already doesn’t like her so i give it like 2 or 3 weeks before we see him back to his normal half ass stunt self and she will carry all of the weight of the stunt just like b / co. and d did, i know it sucks and its all annoying but we are good yall, we are good it will past.

Don't know if you're still doing the soulmate prompts, but how about patater and #4?

4: The one where you and your soulmate have matching marks and the marks glow when you’re near your soulmate.

Kent’s mark is so dull. It’s been almost four months since he saw the soft glow on his skin that meant his soulmate was near. It’s been almost four months since Kent had Alexei’s arms around him. Kent really misses Alexei’s arms around him. The long distance thing is really hurting him.

Kent’s heard plenty of stories about long distance soulmates that make his stomach twist. Stories of one partner forming an emotional bond with someone else besides their soulmate while they’re separated and when the two come together again, their marks don’t glow anymore. Their bond is severed by the emotional connection with the new person.

Kent is terrified of what might happen if he sees Alexei again and their marks don’t glow. He thinks about it constantly. He wouldn’t blame Alexei for finding someone better, he knows Alexei got the shittiest soulmate in the world. But Kent’s not sure if he could handle another important person in his life leaving him.

He doesn’t say anything, though. He doesn’t want to put any of his messed up mind’s thoughts on Alexei. That wouldn’t be fair. So Kent keeps his anxiety to himself and hopes like hell the next time he sees Alexei their marks still react to each other.
