Even with superior choreography and design elements, and the original music by Sergei Prokofiev, this Cinderella would not be a success without a cast of great dancers, and San Francisco Ballet’s dancers deserve heavy praise. Maria Kotchetkova makes a perfect Cinderella.
I finally got a drawing tablet for my computer- so naturally I drew a ballerina. It’s based off of one of her photos from the SFB.
((out of ballet with a sprained/potentially torn Achilles’ tendon, therefore I finally have time to draw))
Kochetkova partners with guest artist Kobborg, formerly with the Royal Danish Ballet and the Royal Ballet, in MacMillan’s bedroom pas de deux from the first act of Manon. The two are well-suited to each other and capture the necessary passion.
