Jungkook- the obliviously popular University guy, the hot, charming, sweet and shy boy with great hair.

The kind, honest Jungkook.

Well, I guess that was the first lie.

The first of 15.

“Come on, guys. Do you realize how pathetic you sound? You’re literally one of tens, maybe hundreds, of people who are falling all over this guy.” You scoff and stuff another spoon of yogurt into your mouth.

“Oh, please, Y/N!” One of your friends, Kylie, the most logical of them all, pipes up. “Like you wouldn’t drop your panties the second his fingers grazed your shoulder.”

You laugh again and shake your head at the group of girls sitting around the lawn outside the school. Seriously, of all these high school girls, you thought you had befriended the few that weren’t in love with Jungkook.

Charm to Call a Desired Lover

For each trait you look for in a lover, eat a cherry.
Place the pits in a separate bowl.

For each cherry pit, name the trait you wish for them to have.
String them together with red thread. It can be difficult to thread them with a needle, so you can tie the thread around and fasten it with glue.
Once all of the pits are on the thread, you’ll connect the two ends.

For the first three nights of its creation, before bed, name off each trait by each pit, much like saying a rosary, and when you finish, command them to come to you. Carry the beads with you.

After the three nights, keep them in a nightstand or under your pillow.

Once the spell completes itself, the charm may be disposed of or kept to manipulate the lover further.

You used to think that love was like a fairy tale.

Of course, everybody did as a child – but you, even at a young age, had fantasized about an everlasting love so strong that it could not be scratched. You dreamt of a love so powerful that you couldn’t feel anything else but it only. Love was such a pure and beautiful thing to you when you were young. But that was such a long time ago.

As a child, you thought love was glass slippers and magic mirrors and rosebushes; you couldn’t wait until you grew up to meet your own Prince Charming. You thought love was so easy to grasp onto and to keep a hold of. You didn’t know back then that love could make you unhappy, or that it could break your heart.

But it did anyway.

You were seventeen when you first fell in love. Well, at least you thought it was love at the time. And you suppose it was, for you, even though it was only half of it. But honestly, you didn’t really know what love meant. Not then, and not today. But it doesn’t really matter now, does it? It doesn’t change a damn thing.

He isn’t yours, and you aren’t his. No matter how much you wanted to be the one he came home to after a long tiring day or to be the one he woke up to every single morning, the one who would laugh and smile and cry with him, that wasn’t you. That was her. That was Euna.

Of course, it wasn’t her fault. It was yours. But you still hated her, even though she really did nothing wrong. It was only human to feel this way, you thought; your emotions weren’t uncalled for. But wasn’t it also human instinct to love? To want or to need somebody beside you? That was what they were doing, and that was what they were to each other; you had no right to ruin that. Still…you wanted him so much then, and now still, that it hurt. It hurt so much that you didn’t think it couldn’t hurt you any more than it already was.

But it always did. Love always finds a way.

You wanted to confess; you’ve wanted to ever since you realized you had feelings for him. But you waited much too long; it was too late. It was too late a long, long time ago. Years had passed since that first day and your chance, as small as it was, was gone. And so was he.

You could still remember that day though. How could you forget? The sky wasn’t bright and blue like in the movies; it was dark and grey, and it was raining. There were no birds to sing, no sun to shine, no nothing. But there wasn’t anything you would have changed about that day. Because that was the day you met your first love. That was the day you met Kim Taehyung.

You look outside to see the pouring rain outside your high school. The weather was perfectly fine this morning, and the forecast hadn’t said anything about the rain. So of course, you didn’t have an umbrella with you. You didn’t even have a coat.

Sighing, you looked around for anyone else who would be heading outside – and with an umbrella – but there didn’t seem to be anybody who was.

“Well, I guess I’ll just have to make a run for it,” you said to yourself, gathering all your things from your locker into your bag. You were walking towards the doors, about to take your first step into the rain when you felt a hand on your shoulder.

“You’re not actually going out there without an umbrella or something, are you?”

You turned around to see a young man looking at you questionably. He was quite handsome actually, more than you thought possible. His eyes were dark, but only in the physical sense; they were deep and alluring, and his smile – there weren’t words to describe it. It was big and bright, and it was beautiful.

“Umm… Hello? (Y/N)?” Your head snaps up to look at his eyes as he raises an eyebrow; you hadn’t realized you were staring. Blushing, you bow your head a little, after noticing by his uniform that he was your senior.

“S-sorry, I was just… um…” you stutter, sure that by now he had noticed your flushed face. How… how did he know your name?

“Yeah I know, going outside in the rain without any cover. Do you want to get soaking wet?” he chuckled a little before pulling out a bright green umbrella. “I’m heading out too. Where are you going? We could walk together maybe, if you’re not opposed to staying dry.”

You smile, gaining a little confidence. He was making jokes, attempting to make you feel more comfortable, and it was working. “Actually, that’s not a bad idea,” you say, “I’m just going to the bus stop so if you could drop me off there, that would be nice.”

He grinned. “Sure, that’s no problem. Here, just let me open this up…” He reaches out beside you to push the door open and pops open his umbrella. “There, we’re all set. Ready?”

You nod, smiling, and you both walk out into the rain under the cover of his umbrella.

“So… what’s your name, Mr. Umbrella Man?” you say, trying to make small talk as you make your way to the bus stop.

He smiles another one of his charming rectangular smiles. “My name is Taehyung.”

“Well, Taehyung, I’m –”

“– (Y/N). I know,” he looks at you with an accomplished look on his face. “I said it back there in the school, didn’t I?”

“Yeah,” you say slowly, “about that, how do you know my name?”

He grins yet again. “Why shouldn’t I?”

You shrug, no immediate answer on your lips. “I suppose that there isn’t really any reason you shouldn’t know my name… but shouldn’t I be obliged to know how exactly you got my name considering it is my name after all?”

“You got me there,” he smiles, “I’ve actually known about you for a while… you were the girl who broke the trophy case last month, right?”

Your smile fades a little. “I tripped,” you say, trying to defend yourself.

“On what?”

“On… um…” you stumble over your words, trying to give him a believable answer.

“You tripped over your own feet, didn’t you?”

You laugh a little. “I am a little clumsy sometimes. I’m surprised you’re still in one piece actually. Don’t blame me if something happens to you later though,” you say, smirking.

He  shrugs. “Clumsy is cute,” he says, leaving you blushing again, as he looks up. “This is your bus stop?”

You glance up at the sign. “Yes. Thank you for the use of your umbrella,” you say, bowing slightly.

He waves at you, “See you around then, (Y/N). It was nice talking to you. We should meet up again sometime.”

You open our mouth to reply, but no words come out. He wanted to see you again?

“Promise me?” he asks, holding his pinky out.

You loop your own pinky around his. “Promise.”

“Okay then, (Y/N), I will hold you to your promise. Annyeong!” He gives you one last boxy grin before he turns away.

You wave as he walks elsewhere, sheltered under his green umbrella. And you just stand there, under the bus stop, with the stupidest smile on your face. You couldn’t believe it.

Kim Taehyung wanted to see you again.

And he did see you again, many times.

After that first meeting, you became fast friends with Taehyung, and you were both very close. You were so close that you were almost like siblings. Almost.

In time, quite quickly in fact, you felt yourself falling for Kim Taehyung. You couldn’t help it; he was everything a girl could want. He made you laugh. He was there when you cried. He supported you even when your own family didn’t. You didn’t want to be just a friend or, heaven forbid, like a little sister to him. You wanted to be so much more. And somehow, in some way, you thought – or you let yourself think – that he felt the same way as well.

You thought that meeting Taehyung was the best thing that could ever happen to you in this life, and it was. It really was. But it was also because of it that you were burdened by heartbreak and depression for so long.

About a half year into your friendship, you decided you would confess. You truly loved him, and you felt that he could very possibly reciprocate your feelings.

But you never did confess, because he confessed first.

To another girl.

You turn around to see Taehyung running up to you with a bouquet of flowers in hand.

You smile, thinking they were for you. Maybe, just maybe, he wanted to confess to you today?

“Taehyung-ah!” you say, with a big smile on your face.

“What did you call me here for, (Y/N)? And you told me to hurry too…” he pouted cutely at you.

“I…” you trailed off slowly. How were you going to confess? You suddenly felt too shy.

You look up to see a small frown on Taehyung’s face. Ahh… he was worried about you. Another thing you loved about Taehyung – he almost always knew what you were feeling; it was very hard to trick him into believing otherwise.

“Taehyung, I… I just wanted to say that I really appreciate our friendship. You’ve always been there for me. Thank you,” you say, attempting to slowly transition to a confession.

“Hey. I’ll always be there for you, (Y/N),” Taehyung grins widely.

You let out the breath you’ve been holding. “Yeah, I’ve been thinking about that too, Taehyung. About always.”

“You really don’t have to worry about it, (Y/N),” he says, shaking his head. “Always means always when I say it.”

You smile. “Taehyung –”

“– (Y/N)…” He pauses suddenly when he realizes he had interrupted you. “Sorry, you go first.”

You shake your head, blushing. It sounded to you as if he was going to confess. It would save you from embarrassment if you let him confess first, you reasoned.

“Ani… you first,” you say quietly, anticipating his confession.

“Ah, okay. How… how do you tell a girl you like her?” He turns away a little. “Aish… I’m so bad at this…” he mutters as he shifts the bouquet from hand to hand.

“No, Taehyung, you are so sweet,” you smile as he turns to look at you again.

“Yah, but (Y/N)! You have to say that. You’re my best friend!”

“It doesn’t mean I don’t mean what I say,” you assure him.

“Well, you see, there’s… there’s this girl I like. She’s…um… very caring and pretty and she makes me really happy. I… I want to confess to her.”

You nod your head slowly, waiting.

“Yes?” you say quietly.

“Could you help me with my confession?”

“Just tell her you like her, Taehyung,” you say, rolling your eyes teasingly.

“But you have to help me, (Y/N)!” Taehyung looks at you pleadingly.

“Yah! Taehyung-ah, just tell me her name!” you say, a little impatient. You’ve been waiting for this moment so long; you really didn’t want to wait any longer.

Taehyung stills for a moment. “It’s…”

You take in a slow, shaky breath.

Your face falls.

It’s just one word. Just. One. Word. And it shatters your heart into a million tiny pieces of nothingness.

You helped him of course. Even though it stung. It was like a slap to the face every time you saw them together afterwards. After all, it was you that had introduced the two of them in the first place, and it was you again who had to get them together. It was your own fault. But you blamed everybody but yourself.

You fell into depression quite quickly after that. Taehyung noticed, of course, and he tried to help as much as he could. But you couldn’t tell him it was because of him; you didn’t want him to know now, not when he was in a happy relationship with someone else. And so he couldn’t help. He didn’t know how to; he didn’t know why you were like this. He couldn’t do anything. And it killed him. But not as much as it killed you.

You hated yourself. You hated Euna. You hated everything. Everything and everyone, except Taehyung. You still loved him. You had never stopped loving him. You couldn’t get rid of your feelings for him, even though he was in love with somebody else.

He still didn’t know, and it hurt that you couldn’t tell him. It wouldn’t be right; but not telling seemed so wrong.

When you were young, people didn’t tell you that love hurts. That love could kill your soul. They only spoke of the pretty things about love. But even backstage, there’s always drama. There will always be some obstacle, some enemy, some broken heart. In your love story, that broken heart belonged to you. You wish it could be fixed, but dreams don’t always come true. You knew that now.

Days became weeks became months became years. Nothing was the same. You were still friends with Taehyung, and he was still dating Euna. You still loved him, and he still didn’t know. But it wasn’t the same. You felt yourself drowning, drifting away from reality.

You didn’t want to live anymore.

What did you have to live for anyway? Your education was ruined by your depression. Your family was broken apart. You had no real, true friends. You didn’t have Taehyung, not the way you wanted him. He was distant since he was always with Euna; he was not enough to lift you back up your feet.

You lay with your back against the bathtub’s edge, eyes closed, as you listen to the tub fill up. You had lost the last thing you had to live for. You had nothing now. Nothing.

There was nothing left for you in this world. You thought you had everything a couple years ago. But now? Nothing. Nothing at all.

Nothing…. And then you were gone.

“Yah! What the fuck?”

That was the first thing he had said when he caught his girlfriend with another guy in their bed. Their bed. Taehyung groaned as he recalled last night’s events.

He didn’t want to think about it anymore, about how the two years he had dated Euna were wasted. It was all gone because of one thing that could have been so many things behind his back for who knows how long. He shook his head. He didn’t want to think about it until he got to you. He knew you would help him; you always helped each other out – that was what made you such good friends.

Friends… and then he realized suddenly that he felt something more for you. Even though he had been occupied for so long, and you hadn’t seen each other in a while – it didn’t matter; he understood now why his relationship with Euna had felt empty for a while. He loved you. Not Euna. You.

“Aish!” He scolded himself as he started running towards your apartment. He should have realized sooner how he felt. He shouldn’t have wasted so many years with a girl who didn’t even love him. He had to confess now; he was so sure of his feelings, for once, and he needed you.

He started pounding on your apartment door when he got to it.

“(Y/N)! (Y/N)!” he shouts, “Open up please! It’s Taehyung!”

There’s no answer.

He jiggles the door handle again, harder, and there’s a snap. Taehyung swings the door open harshly before rushing into your apartment, looking for you. And then he sees the water flowing through the bathroom door. He yanks the door open and freezes for a second when his eyes fall on your cold body.

“(Y/N)!” He cries out, his voice cracking as he kneels down beside the tub and turns the tap off. He stares at your pale body and tilts your head up out of the water. He brushes your hair out of your eyes and hugs you close to him.

“I’m so sorry, (Y/N),” he starts sobbing, “I’m so, so sorry that you felt you had to do this. I should have been there for you. I should have stayed by your side. I’m sorry I broke my promise of always. I’m so sorry, (Y/N). I’m so sorry… I love you, (Y/N), I really do. I should have known… I should have told you sooner… I’m sorry, Jagiya…”

As he lifts his head from its place in the crook of your neck to take a deep breath, something catches his eye. He gently lays you back down in the tub, making sure your face was out of the water. He stands up and reaches out to the mirror and grabs the envelope taped there. He sees his name scrawled on the front and tears it open. His fingers desperately grab at the letter inside. It’s obvious that the letter had gotten slightly wet at one point, but the words were still clear and readable. Taehyung sits down on the toilet, and after one more guilt-filled glance at you, he starts to read your letter.

Dear Taehyung-oppa,

i checked out the website from your video and I've never been more charmed in my life i love it

isn’t it neat? i actually found it a couple of years ago because i was looking for the credits theme for phantasmagoria 2, and the on site lyrics came up

Okay so I came up with this great AU idea and I decided I'm gonna post it here so here you go

Imagine a charm necklace AU.

Everyone gets a charm necklace at birth with one charm on it. This charm being a small plate with the person’s birth date on it.

Throughout their lives, they find more charms scattered about in their daily life. One in their bookbag, another in the bottom of a cup of coffee, just showing up wherever they’ll find them.

Now imagine each charm representing a significant life event in the near future.

Some are obvious, like a coffin indicating that they will have a secondhand experience with death soon. Some are more cryptic and require more thought. The individual can decipher what each charm means for themselves, or they can just wait for destiny to take its course.

But what about soulmates, you may ask?

Soulmate charms are themed after whoever your soulmate is. For example, if your soulmate is passionate about cats, you might find a charm of a cat or a ball of yarn. Something along those lines.

Soulmate charms come in two varieties: platonic and romantic. Platonic soulmate charms have a diamond, romantic soulmate charms have a heart. Sometimes the charm will also have the soulmate’s favorite color in it, or maybe the first letter of their name.

When someone dies prematurely, their necklace breaks in half and scatters the charms. Old age deaths only occur after the necklace can only hold one more charm: a small plate with the person’s death date on it.

Feel free to add to this AU or use it in your art or writing if you want! I’d love to see what people do with it!

How Taylor Swift Played The Victim For A Decade And Made Her Entire Career

Ok, so Buzzfeed released this article about Taylor Swift on January 31st and here are some key points that really stood up for me.

  1. On Taylor´s feminism: “But, as the Washington Post pointed out: “There’s a difference between being a feminist and calling yourself a feminist. Feminism is more than just supporting your girlfriends or churning out charming catchphrases about girl power; it’s a political movement, with political aims.”
  2. About Taylor´s squad: And, in actuality, her squad flouts inclusive feminist principles by being an exclusive club, and skews overwhelmingly white, slim, and heterosexual – and this is because Swift views feminism in relation to her own personal experience alone.
  3. Again on Taylor´s feminism: Far from expressing feminist values through actual, tangible means – such as, for example, speaking publicly about Kesha’s alleged sexual assault, offering an opinion on Trump’s campaign and election, or acknowledging the Women’s March through means other than a contrived tweet – Swift invokes feminism to ensure her posture as victim.
  4. On her feud with Katy Perry and the Bad Blood song: Put differently, she prevented the eruption of an undesirable rumour by creating a new one, which reveals Swift’s true genius: her ability to manipulate the lyrics and subjects of her songs in whichever way best suits her PR desires.
  5. On her feud with Nicki Minaj and the lack of recognition for black women in the music industry: Swift has become such an expert at building narratives that she doesn’t just see herself as the victim in stories explicitly about her, but the subject of every story. (…) She prioritised herself at the centre of a struggle faced by women of colour, while ignoring the fact that the system inherently benefits her.
  6. On the feud with Kim and Kanye about that line in Famous: The feud exposed the truth that white fragility is the most imperative component of Swift’s success. Performing white female melodrama has enabled Swift to establish her posture as victim and navigate any conflict with ease, devoid of culpability. But her conflict with West cannot be dismissed as an insignificant celebrity feud, leaving a trail of snake emojis in its wake – there are sinister undertones. It proved that Swift recognised the power her white womanhood affords her – presumed innocence and empathy – and used this to her advantage in repeated acts that she surely knew would damage West’s reputation and strengthen her own. Swift propagating this narrative of fragile white womanhood to villainise a black man is “ruthless” at best, and at worst, dangerous.

I think this article really explains why I don’t really like Taylor Swift and how her playing the role of the victim is really getting old and overused. No one believes she´s the victim and this has been shown ever since the ¨break up¨ with Harry Styles and overusing that one month relationship for over two years. And it became evident to the public how fake she really is with the Kanye and Kim feud and directly after that the whole deal with her ¨relationship¨ with Tom Hiddleston. So I finish this with the final paragraph of the article which summarizes my feelings in general about her.

She’s all about narratives, and the reinvention of her image is the start of a new one. The question is, however, after being exposed playing the victim in plain sight for over a decade, will anyone believe it?

  • Gold: There. Now, wherever you are, I will always find you.
  • Charming: Are you kidding me!? You're gonna steal my romantic line to forcibly LoJack your wife. What the hell, man?
  • Gold: Aren't you supposed to be under a sleeping curse?
  • Charming: I'm so mad that I woke up.
