that is what that song is about

'Meet BTS, the K-Pop Group Loved By Wale and Charlie Puth'

Teen Vogue: How did you feel about landing in the U.S. iTunes Top 10 in February?

Rap Monster: Reaching the top of any music chart is a thrill, but this was a shock. We were on [a strict TV appearance] schedule at that time, so it wasn’t like I could scream or anything (laughs).

Jin: It was ‘Wow. Are you serious? Really?’ It was similar to what I thought when I first heard that Wings charted at 26 on the Billboard 200 last year. How cool is that!

Teen Vogue: For those new to BTS, what song and which video should they check out?

RM: Hmmm, it’s like choosing between your mom and your dad, who do you like better! “Fire” was loved by so many, so that’s the song.

Jin: I’d recommend “Blood Sweat & Tears” because I got the lead role and I kind of lead the whole story of video! And, of course, it’s beautifully designed and choreographed.

V: I, too, think it’s “Blood Sweat & Tears.” It had so many metaphors and I had to make a lot of guesses to understand the relationship between characters. And there’s a scene where I make a strange smile to give you a chill, which I love!

Teen Vogue: Rap Monster, K-Pop groups usually have designated roles for the members and yours is BTS’s leader, but what does that mean to you?

RM: It’s my official role to represent BTS to the world and it’s been a chance for me to mature as a person, but, behind the scenes, I’m just one of seven members and I’m inspired by the others all the time. I get free life lessons from J-Hope and Jimin, sometimes it’s like they’re 10 years older than me.

Teen Vogue: OK, let’s play a little game. You’re now at the mercy of another member describing you.

Jungkook: Jin used to be an ordinary guy in the team, but he’s the mood maker now. He’s the most wicked and funniest of all. No one in BTS is normal though, come to think of it.

Jin: Jungkook’s delicate voice always mesmerizes our ears and that’s definitely his role in BTS.

V: Jimin is a real piece of cuteness, like the youngest in the family.

Jimin: V’s specialty is getting all the attention from others onto him!

J-Hope: Suga is a true caretaker. He’s kind of a hidden leader who takes care of everyone.

Suga: J-Hope’s a real hope-maker. He’s such a ‘hope-generator.’

Teen Vogue: BTS have become highly respected for penning their own tracks. When you’re on tour, do you make time to write?

RM: Mostly we’re in the hotel when we’re not on [our promotional] schedule so I bring all my equipment. I wake up, if I have a rehearsal, I go do that and when I come back to the hotel, I sit down and turn on the laptop, cause I’ve got nothing to do without that!

Teen Vogue: When you’ve got a new demo, such as the rough guide to Wings, do you take it to another member and play it and ask for feedback?

Suga: I usually have as many people listen to it as possible because I think it really helps make it a better track. I always get great feedback from the rest of the band.

RM: Firstly, I take it to (BTS’s executive producer) P.Dogg. If he likes it, he sometimes puts it into the album. I really trust him, he’s got the eye for it.

Teen Vogue: If P.Dogg says no, will you fight for it?

RM: Yeah, of course, I really fight for it! I’m like, ‘Hey, this is the thing I gotta do right now. If you won’t do it, I’ll put it into my mixtape!’ The last one I fought for was ‘Reflection’ — there’s an original version, a whole different song. He didn’t not like it, it just didn’t fit the Wings concept, so I’ll release it myself someday.

Suga: I think I kind of did for my mixtape, because I felt I should as AgustD [my solo moniker], and I’m glad I did.

Teen Vogue: Speaking of mixtapes, J-Hope, we’ve been looking forward to hearing yours. What can you tell us about it?

J-Hope: I’m working on it as we speak and my inspiration really depends on my daily mood swing; sometimes I like to go strong and sometimes I make softer sounds. Since it’s a mixtape, I’m trying to experiment with various genres to test myself.

Teen Vogue: Jungkook, you recently covered Charlie Puth’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore” — you teased it in January but didn’t release it until the end of February. Were you making changes? And will we hear your own songwriting any time soon?

Jungkook: I recorded it several times until I was sure that it felt and sounded perfect. I was more than ready to share it because I knew fans had been waiting, but we had You Never Walk Alone being released and I thought I’d better wait until BTS wraps up the official activities for it. I don’t feel confident about writing any of my own [material] yet, but if I ever write a song, I’d like to work on a very soft and sweet vibe.

Teen Vogue: The bigger an artist gets, the more people will try and bring them down. How does BTS deal with that side of fame?

Jimin: I’m a very positive person and I don’t easily get intimidated by people who try to bring me or BTS down. Besides, my family is always there for me.

RM: These days, I try to take everything as my fate and respond with dignity. I accept it, it’s like a shadow, it’s just there.

J-Hope: I had a firm belief that I was going to be a successful artist, and that led me to what I am. I draw all the strength I need from that belief and try to share my energy with other members as much as I can.

Teen Vogue: Rap Monster, you’ve just released a collaboration with rapper Wale, which came about through a BTS fan helping bring you guys together over Twitter. What can you tell us about working together?

RM: When he suggested the collaboration, that was a real shock. I thought about it, [and was] like, should we do a party song? But I wanted to do something different. The title is “Change” — in America. They’ve got their situations and we’ve got ours in Seoul, the problems are everywhere and the song is like a prayer for change. He talks about the police, and problems he’s faced since he was a child. For me, I talked about Korea, my problems, and about those on Twitter who kill people by keyboards.

Teen Vogue: Let’s do a finishing quickfire round! BTS experiments with a lot of genres, which one has been a challenge?

V: I always find rock difficult.

RM: I’m always ready to be challenged, like, “Wings: Outro,” it was hip-house, that was the first time I’d ever listened to that genre… but I liked it.

Teen Vogue: What do you want do while you’re in America?

RM: I want to go to Barneys and Supreme! I want to see buildings and people on the street, their faces, what they talk about, how they walk. I do that in Korea. I go to somewhere I haven’t been and just watch people and colors, that’s my inspiration.

Jimin: I really want to go on a day trip with the members. Or a picnic to Central Park on a sunny day would be nice.

The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw - Everyone the One Direction boys have collaborated with on their solo material so far - BBC Radio 1
As rumours swirl about Louis working with Bebe Rexha, we look at the boys' other collabs

Exciting news for One Direction fans: it looks like there’s more solo material on the way from both Zayn and Louis. While Zayn’s collab with PARTYNEXTDOOR is confirmed and dropping “soon”, the Louis rumours all stem from one excitable Bebe Rexha.

“[I just finished a new song] with somebody really big from a boyband,” Bebe told CBS Radio’s Culinary Kitchen. “It’s a really massive record. We just finished it and it’s about to come out in a month or so and it’s amazing. It’s probably one of my favourite songs I’ve ever been a part of in my whole career.”

Hmm. We know what you’re thinking: there are many, many boyband stars Bebe could have worked with. But, when you consider Louis recently followed her on Twitter, and she followed him on Instagram… Yes. All fingers point to a Louis Tomlinson and Bebe Rexha collaboration (we hope).

While we await further news from Team Tomlinson, check out everyone the 1D lads have worked with on their solo material (so far).

(very positive, nice summary that includes everyone)

World Behind My Wall

Jughead x Reader

The reader has built up walls around her heart, but Jughead is determined to break them down. Based on the requested song: World Behind My Wall by Tokio Hotel

Warnings: Mentions of abusive parenting, homelessness

Wordcount: 2,775

A/N: I’m a terrible person.

they’re telling me

it’s beautiful

i believe them

but will I ever know

Dreams are a funny thing. They either show you what you want to see, or something you never want to experience. You weren’t exactly sure where Jughead Jones fit into the equation, but he was there nonetheless.

You hadn’t known Jughead that long either, truth be told you’ve only had one, maybe two conversations with him about schoolwork, but your brain must have taken a liking to him because every night, there he was.

It was the same every night. You and him would be looking up at the stars, and he would lift his hand and point to the brightest one.

‘That one was made for you,’ he would say, ‘the light in the darkness.’

I couldn’t seem to keep ahold of anything else from the dream, except that moment.

You didn’t really mind being asleep all that much, it was better than being awake.

A part of you felt like it was fate, that maybe these dreams were because you were connected spiritually or maybe you were even soul mates.

Or then it also might just be because you’re sleeping where he was just a few weeks ago. That’s right, you were homeless. Well, you could probably go stay with your aunt and uncle, but they lived all the way across town, and you would have to go to a different high school and that was not an option. Rumour had it is that Jughead was staying under the stairs for a while after the drive-in closed, until he went to go live with his best friend Archie. It seemed too perfect that your parents had to be assholes at the exact same time an abandoned place opened up right in the middle of the school.

Not even a day after Jughead had gotten all of his stuff out, you moved in.

It had been a long time coming, though, even you had to admit. Your parents weren’t the best, always out late, always working, always drinking. They never seemed to be sober anymore, always ignoring their real problems. They had probably cheated on each other so many times they lost count. They were emotionally abusive, picking on you for every little thing you did wrong in their eyes. Only problem was, you never knew which version of a parent you were going to get, so it was impossible to please them all the time. You had started staying out later to avoid them, your grades dropped to B’s and C’s instead of A’s because of your busy schedule, and when you came home with a tattoo on your 18th birthday that you had been talking about for the past three years,  they about lost their shit, and said that they didn’t know you anymore. They said if that’s the way you were going to repay them for everything they had done for you then you might as well leave, so you did.

You didn’t have very many friends, at least none that you were extremely close to that you could ask to stay with as you just genuinely tried to be nice to everyone, and you very well didn’t want to live on the streets, so the school closet it was. It was four walls, and that’s all you needed.

You woke up early, just like every day for the past two weeks, to shower and get dressed before the rest of the school arrived. You stop your alarm clock for the 5th time and drag yourself out of bed. You grab your shampoo and towel and open the door. You’re still rubbing your eyes, when you run face first into a wall.

You step back to orientate yourself, when you realize that there wasn’t a wall there, there never had been. You open your eyes all the way to see none other than Jughead Jones staring back at you.

“Uhm.. hi.” is all you manage to mutter out, not sure what to do. You’re basically a deer in the headlights.

“Who are you?” he asks, dumbfounded.

“I’m (Y/N), the new homeless person living under the stairs! Didn’t you hear? The front desk is renting it out, 10 bucks a night!” you exclaim, trying to make light of the situation. Making fun of yourself and laughing at things is how you’ve learned to deal with everything, because as long as people were laughing with you they wouldn’t be laughing at you. (Y/N) was your name and sarcastic humor was your game.

“What?” he asks, not really getting the joke.

“I’m Harry Potter, I’m living the dream, pretend you never saw me.” you tell him, turning towards the showers to try to make a speedy exit.

“Oh no you don’t.” Jug says, grabbing your arm before you make it too far, “I know this routine all too well.”

“What routine?” you play dumb. You were a very observant person, always listening to things happening around you. Archie and his gang were famous around here, or at least that’s what it seemed like. You couldn’t help it if you got to school early every day to avoid your parents and just so happened to overhear his conversation with Archie about his living situation. It was all timing and coincidences.

“Are you living here?” he asks, an odd look of concern in his eyes.

“Yeah, the last guy couldn’t keep up with rent, so I thought it was a steal.” you joke, cracking a small smile.

He doesn’t say anything, he just stares at you, no smile. It’s completely silent in the hall, and you swear that if a pin dropped, you would be able to hear it. Your smile disappears.

“All right, all right, I get it. ‘But (Y/N) can’t you go home? Don’t you have family? It would be so much better if you could just get along with your parents,’” you mimic, “I don’t have time for this. I have to shower before the sane people who get to wake up at normal times start arriving.” you tell him, finally taking your arm away from his grip.

You walk away from him, not turning around, because you know that if you did, you wouldn’t be able to stop yourself from telling him everything.

That night you lay down to sleep, hoping that he will be there to greet you.

one day i will be

ready to go

see the world behind my wall

Lunch time was the only time you could be alone. You enjoyed the time, being able to sit and observe others, make up stories about what’s going on in their minds. You always imagined that their lives were actually put together. You loved to daydream. Sometimes you would sit and observe and daydream about having a best friend, someone to rely on. Of course, you had a few friends, you were nice to everyone, but you were always someone’s second choice. All of your friends seemed to have better best friends. A best friend and a not shit family was the most prominent thought in your mind, and so that’s what your daydreams consisted of.

You pick at your food, unable to eat most of it from the cafeteria. You had been getting free meals since you can remember, your parents not bothering to fill out any paperwork. The school just assumed you were poor, but it was food, so you couldn’t complain.

You’re in the middle of making up a story for a couple sitting on a blanket under a tree when a figure appears in front of you, casting a shadow over your face and blocking the view.

“Hey, this is quality TV, what are you doing?” you tease, motioning for them to move. Only when your eyes move up to meet theres do you realize that it’s Jughead Jones.

You roll your eyes, managing to smile slightly at the look he’s giving you. It’s almost like he was a disappointed, concerned husband.

He didn’t say anything, only sat down and started to eat his lunch. Since he didn’t respond you just kind of stare at him, and then look around to see if any of his friends are in this lunch period, and sure enough: Betty and Ronnie, Archie, and Kevin are all there.

So why was Jughead sitting with you?

Maybe he just wanted to be nice, because after all, he did just discover you the other day living in a closet in the school. This was probably his way of trying to be nice to you or something, so you let it pass. It was probably nothing in his eyes anyway.

At least, that’s what it seemed like for the first day.

Every day for a month, Jughead would come and sit by you. He wouldn’t say a word, he would just sit at lunch to keep you company. He also didn’t tell anyone about your living situation. He didn’t report it to the school, and he certainly didn’t tell his friends. Every now and again they would look over at where you were sitting with Jug and you knew they were probably talking about you both, but oddly enough you didn’t care.

Every night for that same month, Jughead would appear in your sleep.

‘That one was made for you,’ he would say about the star, ‘the light in the darkness.’

It was getting cooler out, and on a nice autumn day you had decided to finally ask him why.

Why did he sit with you?

You got to the table a little early that day, the crummy food from the cafeteria getting cold on your tray already. You anxiously look around, pulling your sleeves down over your hands.

You watch the same couple from under the tree, making up a new story than the one from yesterday and the day before. A familiar figure soon blocked your view.

“Hey, this is quality TV.” you would always say, his cue to sit down across from you, which is exactly what he did.

You sit in silence for a few minutes, picking over your tray once more.

You finally glance up, only to see him looking back at you. Did he always do that?

“So.. uhm..” you start, unsure of what to say. You’d been daydreaming about telling him for so long now that it was the real deal you weren’t exactly sure how to say it.

He just  looks at you with expectant eyes, his mouth pinned in the straight line it always was. His hair curled perfectly underneath his signature beanie.

“Why are you sitting with me?” you blurt out, flinching at your own words. Your voice didn’t sound like yours at this time of day, you rarely use it.

“Hm?” he questions, raising his eyebrows.

“Why have you been sitting with me all this time? For the past month you’ve come here every day and just sat with me, not saying anything, I might add, and for what? Your friends are right over there, why sit with me?” you ramble, trying to avoid eye contact. Despite sitting with him every day you really didn’t know anything about him.

“I figured you might need some company. Someone to talk to, when you were ready. I figured, why keep thinking about it, when I could just do it? So I did.” he states plainly.

You’re speechless for a minute, not sure of how to respond. Your normal humor wouldn’t work, that seemed like such a genuine response.

“Well, I think I’m ready.” you say, finally looking in his eyes. You weren’t sure, but you were almost positive that you could see a hint of a smile playing on his lips as you both took a sigh of relief.

i’m ready to heal

i’m ready to feel

You tell Jughead everything. You tell him about your parents, your non-existent friends. Hell, you even tell him about the struggles of living in a cabinet under the school.

He just nods, listening to everything. He doesn’t judge, and seems to show interest in every detail of your woes.

When you are finally finished, he just looks at you for a minute, blinks a few times, and says, “Let me take you to Pop’s after school.”

You couldn’t say no, it’s not like you had any real obligations to attend to after school.

You smiled, excited at the possibility of an actual dinner.

The bell rings before you can respond.

He meets you out front right at the end of school, a smile on his lips as you walk down the steps.

“For a minute I thought you wouldn’t come.” he says as you begin the trail to Pop’s.

“And miss food? Are you insane?” you say with a chuckle. Your arms are swinging lightly in the wind, feeling free as you’re not confined to the small four walls you were used to.

He just smiles, shoving his hands in his pockets, his shoulder bag behind his back. He starts kicking rocks along the road, trading off and even letting you kick some.

This continues the entire way there, giggling and laughing like you haven’t done in years.

In no time your at Pop’s, ordering burgers  and milkshakes.

“I have a question.” you say, getting his attention. He has his laptop out, typing away.

“Hm?” he raises his eyebrow, the cue to continue talking.

“How did you know?” you look him dead in the eyes, the question burning in the air.

“I had a dream about it. About someone under the stairs. A girl. You.” he states, glancing up for only a moment, “I had to at least go check.” he admits.

“Why though? Why not just push the dream aside?” you wonder, seeing if you can get him to admit anything else.

“It would nag at me if I didn’t. And if I was wrong, I could move on. If I was right, which I was, I might add, then I knew that the universe was probably trying to tell me something.” he breathes out, the last part of the sentence so soft and airy you can barely make out the words.

Suddenly you get an idea. It’s crazy, and probably a little insane, but you have to try.

“Come with me.” you say, sliding out of the booth and grabbing his arm, just like he did to you the first time you had an encounter.

You lead him outside, back down the path and onto the football field, racing him. He is surprisingly fast, able to keep up with you. When you reach the field you turn to face him.

“What are you doing?” he asks, breathless. You were honestly surprised he keeps putting up with your antics.

“Just wait.” you say, releasing his arm and going over to the light box. You flip the switch, turning all the jumbo lights off, revealing the starry night above you.

“I’ve always wanted to see what this looked like for real.” you say as you walk back over to him.

He looks up at the sky, then back at you, and in this moment you know that you are going to tell this boy everything. You’re going to feel and you’re going to heal again because of Jug. You admit to yourself that you like him, but if you were being honest with yourself you knew you always had. You couldn’t deny it any longer.

“You see that?” he asks, pointing to the brightest star in the sky.

You nod as he takes your hands, making your heart skip a beat.

“That one was made for you,” he says, “the light in the darkness.”

You nearly have a heart attack at the words, speechless to say or do anything.

“What?” is all you can manage.

“(Y/N), you’ve been the highlight of my day for the past month, just sitting there and looking at you looking at everyone else. You were a mystery, and you still are, but somehow I feel like I’ve known you for a lifetime. I can’t believe I didn’t see it sooner, that I didn’t see you sooner.” he says, one hand going to cup your cheek, “Please, come stay with me.”

You lean into him, a huge smile on his face.

“Jug, I-” you begin, but he stops you by placing a kiss on your lips, bringing you close to his body.  You feel safe, you feel loved, and you know that no matter what anyone says, the universe is somehow trying to tell you something.

You just hope you can remember that when you wake up.

I need to find a man I truly feel comfortable around. Let me take my time opening up sexually. I’m tired of feeling rushed. I hate it. I want to go on dates and run errands together. Come home after getting caught in the rain and take a bubble bath. Nothing really sexual about it; we admire one another’s bodies as we embrace and kiss in the warm water that surrounds us. Dry off and make a meal together while dancing around in the kitchen to our favorite songs. We’ll cuddle up until we nod off happily inside a makeshift fort as the strung up Christmas lights peek through the sheets. I dream of weekends like this so much it hurts. / What hurts even more is that I’m stopping myself from letting it ever possibly happen because I tell myself I’m not good enough and I cut myself down until there’s nothing left.

anonymous asked:

Are you honestly excited about Bowie-esque music from Harry? That comparison scares the heck out of me. I don't know one Bowie song that has stood the test of time and would do well today. I'm shocked that anybody is seriously excited about that. I'm praying that the folk rock rumor is closer to what Harry went for.

I’m beyond excited that Harry is putting out music, period. I’ll wait to form any opinions or pass any judgment until I’ve heard it. People tend to forget that there’s a massive difference between being influenced by something and being a copycat of that thing and I definitely do not see Harry being the latter if that’s what you’re afraid of. Bowie’s music spanned so many different genres so who even knows what that comparison could possibly mean in terms of sound.

Also: “I don’t know one Bowie song that has stood the test of time and would do well today.” I don’t… I don’t even know how to respond to this.

Okay but can we talk about this lyric from Evermore:

Wasting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door
I’ll fool myself, she’ll walk right in
And be with me for evermore

Every. single. word. in this brief but poignant song is so powerful, so expertly woven into a majestic summation of their love story. Today I’m obsessing over the line “waiting by an open door” in particular, because of its underlying implications. Not only does Beast desperately, even foolishly wish she will return to him, but he’s also waiting with hesitant expectation, with the castle doors open. He’ll let strangers invade the grounds in the hopes that one day one of them is her. (Honestly, what a perfect transition to his attitude during The Mob Song.) His home is no longer a prison–for either of them. The castle, even the West Wing, like his heart, remains open. He has no more qualms about having anything in his possession being stolen, since she’s already stolen into his melancholy heart. He has no more fears about the rose being tarnished, because she’s already set him free in so many ways. There’s just one last piece remaining. And it’s only by setting her free that he sets himself free in the end.

“Good Morning America!” Darcy said enthusiastically.  “How’s the view from your part of the world?”

“It would be much better if you were here, Darce.”  He replied honestly. “And, I just got up.”

“You’re slacking off, Handsome.”  Darcy teased him.  “It’s 8a.m. in New York. What happened to your ‘ass crack of dawn’ morning run?”

“Can’t sleep good without you, Sweetheart.”  A hint of loneliness in his voice. “Been far away for far too long.” Darcy frowned.  She knew that Steve hated losing time with people he loved.  One of the side effects of his seventy years ice nap.

“I love it when you use song lyrics, to show how much you care about me”  Darcy said, trying to make him smile. “Much better than any mixed tape.”

“That wasn’t intentional, it’s how I feel.  But, I’m surviving without you.” Taking a bite of his corn flakes before continuing.  “Not that I want to. Natasha kicks my ass when I start to mope.  I guess I have you to thank for that.”

“Yes, you do.”  Darcy explained.  “No one likes seeing a sad Steve Rogers.   It’s the equivalent of someone taking all cat videos off the Internet.  It’s something that you don’t want to happen.”

“I must sound lonely, needy and desperate for you.” Steve replied.  “It’s official, I’m in love.  I’m blaming you.”

“Damn straight you’re mine.”  Smiling and sounding very proud of herself.  “And, you’re not needy or desperate.”  You just miss your girl, and it’s nice to be loved and missed.”

“I’ve been away for a month, and the separation has been hard on me too.  But, it proves we’re not clingy or joined at the hip.”

“At least the time difference isn’t that huge.  London is four hours ahead of New York City.  You could alway steal the Quinjet, and come visit me.”

“Always an option.”  Steve said regretfully. “Unfortunately,  I have to be a responsible leader.  Putting my wants and needs aside, no matter how much I don’t like or want to.“

“Let’s blame Jane for our misery.”  She continued.  “How dare she be the world’s only expert on the Convergence. She’s finally getting the scientific acknowledgement she deserves, and a Nobel Peace Prize.“

“All the fame is keeping me away from my cuddly human space heater. At least, we both have our comfort foods.” Purposely slurping her coffee to prove her point.

“How’s your corn flakes, and what you call ‘real’ milk in the glass bottle?” She asked, and Steve knew what she was going to say next.  “Do you know the real reason corn flakes were invented?”

“Some crazy doctor thought it was a way to stop people from masturbating. An anti-sex food.”   It really was one of the most ridiculous, but true things that he had read about. “Internet so helpful.”

“And, how’s that working for you?”  Darcy laughed.  “You eat that cereal like it’s religion.  Is it curing that craving?”

“Not even close.”  He replied, his voice a little rougher. “You’re the only taste I crave.”

“Damn it, Steve!  Now I need to have room service bring me a few boxes of corn flakes…you know for Science.”

“Save the science experiment for when you come home.”  He laughed. “I’ll demand our money back if it doesn’t work.”

“Very funny.”  Darcy said.  “I already told Jane that when we get back,  I’m taking a few days off to work on my science experiment.”

“Like Jane would have any say in the matter.”  He replied. “I’ll probably go all caveman on you.  Throw you over my shoulder, and carry you back to our apartment.”

“As long as it doesn’t end there.”  She demanded. “I expect a lot of sex and cuddling when I come home.  Phone sex, sexting you while you’re in a meeting and video chats don’t compare to the real thing.”

“I don’t sleep well without you either.  She finished, stifling a yawn.  “I need to feel you wrapped around me.  Guess that means I’m in love.  It’s all your fault.”

“Damn right it is.”  He replied, and Darcy could picture the smile on his face.  “I love you, now get some sleep.”

“Love you too, Steve.” She replied.  “I’ll hang up, and let you have some quality time with your anti-sex food.”

Steve hung up the phone, and ate another spoonful. Whoever believed that cereal was a cure for masturbation, obviously didn’t have someone like Darcy Lewis in their lives.

(Yes, it’s crazy but true. In 1894, two brothers, Dr John Harvey Kellogg and Will Keith “WK” Kellogg, were running a sanitarium and health spa in the town of Battle Creek, Michigan. Corn flakes were originally invented as a way to stop people from masturbating. )

FLASH AND SUPERGIRL STARS REVEAL FAVORITE MOMENTS FROM MUSICAL EPISODE

For “The Flash” star Grant Gustin, he was excited about both of his numbers in the episode, but had a special place in his heart for “Runnin’ Home to You,” written by the duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul — who just last month won an Academy Award for their song “City of Stars,” from “La La Land.”

“I felt very lucky to sing that song by Pasek and Paul. […] It was really cool and special to get to sing that, and they clearly had done their homework on not only the show, but Barry and Iris’ relationship, and just what the whole show has been. They knew where they were coming from, and they wrote a near-perfect song for that moment. I felt really lucky to sing it.”

For Candice Patton, Iris West on “The Flash,” her highlight wasn’t a musical one, but simply the character change that came as a result of the episode’s plot: Thanks to the Music Meister’s machinations, The Flash and Supergirl are both in a shared, dream-like state that looks a whole lot like an old-timey movie musical, providing the context for the songs along with altered versions of familiar characters. In the musical reality, Iris is a mobster’s daughter, and most noticeably, much more freewheeling than we’ve typically seen her character over the past three seasons.

“She’s had such a heavy past few seasons, of dealing with a lot of family and emotional issues,” Patton told CBR. “It’s nice playing a version of Iris that’s a little carefree.

Hi :) I'm new to the fandom so forgive me if I'm misinformed. About home: the only really serious relationship he was supposed to be in up to the song was Eleanor. To me, home sounds like being in your first relationship not knowing about love and meeting the right person and just click. But I think there was some time between hannah and eleanor so it must either be about Harry or fictional. About the pronouns: i personally would have done the same regardless of the meaning, it just fits better.

The guess is that the beginning is indeed about Hanna because they really dated, and then he met Harry (when they were still dating), and it kids of hit him that Harry was the right person and that’s why he used a pronoun change. It might look better, but they always went a mile further to make all the songs straight™ (like They Don’t Know About Us, where they add a girl to make it look less suspicious). Like my anon said, they could have used girl or even she, it’d still send the message that he found another girl and she was the one, but he didn’t. He put your because it was the only pronoun he could use without giving it all aways (he could’ve used his). It’s important because even if it looks better and everyone would write like that, they could’ve changed that since it’s something they do with 1D songs, but he didn’t. He changed pronoun and the message was very clear

hunk: what do you think keith is thinking about? he’s just staring into space.

lance: i don’t know. i think we should just leave him be.

keith: [thinking]  Sister, I’m not much a poet, but a criminal
And you never had a chance
Love it, or leave it, you can’t understand
A pretty face, but you do so carry on,
and on,
and on

I wouldn’t front the scene if you paid me
I’m just the way that the doctor made me, on,
and on,
and on,
and on
Love is the red the rose on your coffin door
What’s life like, bleeding on the floor,
the floor,
the floor

You’ll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
Give me a reason to believe

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You’re running after something
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will

Preach all you want but who’s gonna save me?
I keep a gun on the book you gave me, hallelujah, lock and load
Black is the kiss, the touch of the serpent son
It ain’t the mark or the scar that makes you run,
and run,
and run,
and run.

You’ll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
Give me a reason to believe

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You’re running after something
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will

You’ll never make me leave
I wear this on my sleeve
You wanna follow something
Give me a better cause to lead
Just give me what I need
Give me a reason to believe

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill
You’re running after something
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want
Then fire at will

[Chorus]
So give me all your poison (Fire at will)
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts (Fire at will)
And make me ill
You’re running after something (Fire at will)
That you’ll never kill
If this is what you want (Fire at will)
Then fire at will

Cate Blanchett on working with Barry Levinson in Bandits

I’m really enjoying working with Barry. He’s such a fantastic audience and such a terrible singer. He is shocking. Every we’ve been talking about what songs I would sing at certain points in the film and he goes you know the one ‘Bill, Bill’ and he said you know the other one ‘my part…’ I have no idea what he’s talking about.and we had a bit of a language problem I couldn’t understand him. For the first few weeks and I thought it is because you know he is from from the Baltimore area and I’m from Sydney. It’s some sort of…but he’s just he’s got his own very particular language and his own very particular take on things which is hilarious. ( x)

Seokjin

On the way back home from a successful anniversary date, Jin had been driving with his eyes focused sternly on the road. One hand on the wheel, the other hand on your lap, fingers entwined with your own. Meanwhile, you held your phone with your free hand, bluetooth connected to the Car radio. You were playing music off you phone and was preparing a surprise for him. You played some of the two of you favorite songs before it finally shuffled onto the one you made about him behind your back. You smiled the second you heard the first part of the melody. You looked to check Jin’s face. He furrowed his brows, obviously unfamiliar with the song, but the second he heard you voice singing he perked up. Sure enough he had been smiling ear to ear after it had dawned on him it was about him.

“When did you make that?”

“Not too long ago.”

“Ahh… ahhh! [y/n]! It’s so well done!”

“You recorded this on your own?”

“Oh no, Yoongi was big help, honestly.”

“Ah… [y/n]…”

About the ban

The media are hyping like crazy here in Russia and it’s just sad. I’m half Russian and half Ukrainian, and it hurts me to look at all that rivalry. Now the hostility between our countries is going to grow even bigger. Just… what the hell are we all doing?

This show was created to unite Europe after the war and now we’re fighting because of it. Well, not exactly, the problem is about the laws against the people who visited the Crimea which is an occupied territory. Still, the contestant was banned. I can’t stop thinking about Julia and how upset she’s going to be. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of her song I’d like to support her.

It’s rather sad to think about it. Politics aside, let us people simply enjoy the music without looking for someone’s throat to cut.

Take Me to Church

Request: What about an imagine to the song Take Me to Church by Hozier with Tommy? Not everyone approves of their relationship but she’s perfect for him and he’s perfect for her. Maybe she’s the one person that calms him down from his nightmares or is his rock in the mess that is their life. His church.

My lover’s got humor
She’s the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody’s disapproval
I should’ve worshipped her sooner

If the heavens ever did speak
She’s the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday’s getting more bleak
A fresh poison each week

Y/N heard the front door squeak shut as Ada snuck out. The moon was high in the sky and everyone else was asleep. For the first time in weeks, Tommy looked peaceful. The opiate pipe next to the bed was the cause, but Y/N knew better. She knew what horrors were held behind Tommy’s lids.

They've done it. My love for WA is completely irreversible now. What's not to love about this ship? That song that Barry sang crossed off many things of my wish list.

They even danced a little bit! This scene completely exceeded my expectations, and the proposal put the finale nail in my coffin! Iris said “yes, yes!” like “Duh Barry! Why wouldn’t I?”

I love them.
