So this was inspired from a reblog by @snowyroxx22 where the suggestion was to add Morro.
I also took note of others who thought of the Spongebob Movie scene where Spongebob and Patrick used seaweed for mustaches. I was thinking of integrating the them into another comic but I don’t want the seaweed joke to go stale.
Anyways, thanks for the notes everyone! Enjoy this follow up to the first seaweed comic. 

Btw, did you guys see the drawing of a lone ninja in black with a scythe that Tommy Andreasen tweeted some time back then and had the caption “Lonely Ninja”? Man, is Cole secretly lonely or something? :( 

I wonder what the creators plan for Yang though. We didn’t see him at all in Season 7.

It was very easy to find. (this turned out to be a very long post, I’m sorry)

Here are the points the author exposed:

1. Vegans Are Deficient in Many Important Nutrients.

  • About B12:

In fact, B12 deficiency is very common in vegans, one study showing that a whopping 92% of vegans are deficient in this critical nutrient (1).

It is important to note that that particular study stated:

However, their complete blood count values did not deviate greatly from those found for nonvegetarians, even though some had been vegans or lacto vegetarians for over 10 years.

Also The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reports that 39% of Americans have low levels of B12. If only 1% of Americans are vegan, how can a B12 deficiency be a vegan issue? This is a great article about B12 when going vegan.

  • About Animal Protein

Animal protein acidifies your body. Acidic environments are related to cancer for example. The author make fun of the China Study, but is important to note that was an actual study that is still ignored. Another great resource to understand how acid bodies are most likely to develop cancer is the documentary Food Matters. 

Some people are under the false impression that all non-soy plant foods are completely devoid of at least one essential amino acid. The truth is that all plant proteins have some of every essential amino acid. Follow this link for more details. 

  • Creatine 

A 2013 study from Brazil compared the creatine content in a section of the brain, the posterior cingulate cortex, between vegetarians (6 women and 8 men) and omnivores (5). The posterior cingulate cortex was chosen because it is related to emotion formation and cognitive function (processing, learning and memory). Although the vegetarians ate much less creatine than the omnivores (.03 vs. 1.34 g, respectively), they had similar brain creatine levels (6.0 vs. 5.9 IU, respectively). More details here.

  • Carnosine

Now Foods makes a vegan beta-alanine supplement.

  • Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)

DHA - docosahexaenoic acid; found mainly in fish and seaweed. You can perfectly eat seaweeds such as spirulina, which btw is considered a superfood. More infor about Omega 3 here.

  • Testosterone

2. There Are No Studies Showing That They’re Better Than Other Diets.

Eating animal fats and proteins has been shown in studies to raise a person’s risk of developing cancerdiabetes,rheumatoid arthritishypertensionheart disease, and a number of other illnesses and conditions. The fat and protein content of cow’s milk is very different from human milk - vegans say that we are not designed for consuming cow’s milk.

Men with early stage prostate cancer who make intensive changes in diet and lifestyle may stop or perhaps even reverse the progression of their illness, according to one study published in the Journal of Urology.

Another U.S study involving half-a-million people found that red meat and processed meat eaters died prematurely more frequently than other people.

An article published in Food Technology in October 2012 explained that plant-based diets either minimize or completely eliminate people’s genetic propensity to developing chronic diseases, such as diabetes type 2, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.

Whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and legumes contain no cholesterol and are low in fat, especially saturated fats. They are also high in fiber and other nutrients. Vegans say there are several plant based foods that are good sources of protein, such as beans, peanuts, and soya.

3. Proponents of Vegan Diets Use Lies and Fear Mongering to Promote Their Cause

I think this point is pretty subjective. Not all people promote veganism the same way. There has been studies like all the previous I mentioned that proves that if you eat well and informed you’ll be healthier. Again referring to Food Matters is very good, since the film is based on scientific studies as well. 

4. Vegan Diets May Work in The Short Term, For Other Reasons

Vegan diets also recommend that people shun added sugar, refined carbohydrates, vegetable oils and trans fats. This is probably the reason for any health benefits, not the removal of unprocessed animal foods.

That is not true, first because vegan is not a diet, maybe plant based will be better, and that kind of choices are personal, someone that eats sugar, refined carbohydrates and vegetable oils are still vegans. You can remove all of this and keep eating animal products and you’ll be more likely to get ill as well. Again this is due to the acidification of the body due to animal protein. 

5. There is NO Health Reason to Completely Avoid Animal Foods

There IS an ethical reason to completely avoid animal foods, plus as mentioned in point 2 there are complications that have been studied and they show this kind of illness are related to animal protein. 

I hope this can help you somehow. I did my best to provide an answer. I just see a bunch of excuses to keep consuming animals. That’s why is so important to educate ourselves on how to eat, so we can preach with actions and not only words and studies from x or y scientist.
