that has to count for something right

anonymous asked:

I don't think reblogging from others counts as stealing, and that's what I see you do. So idk what that anon was talking about. Not everyone HAS to create their own stuff. They can peacefully reblog as they choose because it's not a dictatorship lol maybe they were jealous or irritated by something else, and took their anger out on you.

I know what that anon was talking about. And they’re right, but here’s the thing: I know what I’m doing which is why I’m really not interested in being told what I’m doing by strangers.

If you don’t believe being asexual has any negative affect on people I was told by a psychiatrist that none of my relationships count because we didn’t have sex, and I can’t say I’m gay since I don’t want to have sex with girls.

and I was taken off my antidepressants because they may be lowering the libido I never had in the first place (plus various other reasons, but still immediately, cold turkey, which should NEVER happen unless they’re switching you to something else)

But aphobia doesn’t exist and asexuals are privileged, right?

Overturning Roe v Wade is not the end goal.

Abolishing abortion is not the end goal.

The end goal is that every human being has equal protection under the law.

Truly ending abortion means switching our thinking. We are not out to restrict or ban something. We are fighting to protect vulnerable human beings from the systematic violation of their basic rights, not just to life, but to be treated as a human being under the law.

If the law says you cannot kill someone, the preborn need to count as “someone.”

When we accomplish that, we will end abortion in America.

Tips for When you Feel Angry

1. Stifle your first impulse to react by saying or doing something negative. Instead, stop and either do the opposite of that, or simply choose to respond by doing nothing at all.

2. If you can remove yourself from the situation, then that is probably the best thing to do for now. That is, detach temporarily and choose to walk away. You can talk about what happened, or the issue, later on.

3. Speak calmly to yourself so you don’t over-react. (Figure out in advance what will likely work for you.) Depending on the person, it could be something like “Just chill” or “Leave it for now” or “This isn’t the right time to talk to talk about this.”

4. If you feel as if the person has really pressed your buttons, make yourself count to ten before you think about responding. At the same time, focus your attention on slowing down your breathing, and doing what you can to make your body relax.

5. To help with this, distract yourself by visualizing something that’s relaxing. For example, it could be a peaceful scene like the mountains or a lake. Alternatively, it could be something funny that has happened recently.

6. Speak directly to yourself, and make yourself act rationally. You’re responsible for you and how you act, and what you say. Don’t be controlled by your powerful emotions. You don’t want to end up with regrets later on.

“Ha, ha, Dean.  No they were closed.  A water main broke or something.  How am I supposed to exercise without a gym?

“You wanna come with me for a run?” Sam asks stepping out of the bathroom in his running gear.

You’re about to give Sam your “are-you-serious?” look when Dean chimes in.

“This one?  Go on a run with you?” Dean laughs from his bed.  “Don’t you remember that hunt when she was being chased by a ghoul?  She tried to speed walk away.”

“Shut up!” you throw one of your shoes at Dean.

Dean ducks down as it whizzes past his head.

“Don’t get me wrong sweetheart, you’re the fastest speed walker I’ve ever seen.”

I Got You On My Mind [Part 4]

Jungkook Soulmate AU (Angst)

Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five

Summary: After your memory loss, adjusting back to normal life has been difficult. Luckily, Jungkook is always there for you. Still, something seems off about him, and you just can’t understand why.

Word count: 2k words

“Oh yeah, I’m being discharged tomorrow,” you told Jungkook, who was pushing your wheelchair through the hospital. He insisted that you needed a change of scenery. “My parents are going to pick me up and drive me back to my apartment.”

“I-I guess it’s too early for the ‘meet the parents’ thing, right?” Jungkook stammered, uncharacteristically nervous. “Unless you want me to. Like, I don’t mind if–”

“Chill, Jungkook,” you laughed, cutting his off his rambling. “I think they’re more worried about my brain damage than any soulmate business.”

“The doctors said you’ll recover your memories though, right?” Jungkook asked, worry lining his words. “Your memory loss won’t be permanent or recurring?”

“They said my memories will come back slowly,” you replied, shrugging your shoulders nonchalantly. “But most of the time, the memories will have to be triggered by something. They also told me I might have short-term memory issues for the next little while.”

“That seriously sucks,” Jungkook said. “If you need any help with anything, just let me know. I don’t really know how I’d be useful, but don’t hesitate.”

“We’re not in the same department,” you snorted, turning to peer up at your soulmate who was both familiar and foreign in this instant. “This is gonna make school so difficult. I’ve forgotten nearly three months worth of content!”

“Maybe take the semester off?” Jungkook suggested. “Amnesia is a pretty valid reason. Have you talked at all to the university?”

“No,” you groaned, sinking into the wheelchair. “I don’t want to think about responsibilities right now. Just marvelling in the fact I’m still alive and kicking.”

A silence fell between you and Jungkook as he pushed you through a more crowded area of the hospital. You noticed a few younger visitors visibly gape at Jungkook, then glare at you jealously as you rolled by.

You agreed with them–how was Jungkook so damn good-looking? You hit the soulmate jackpot, for sure. Still, even if he looked different, you didn’t doubt that you would like him just the same.

“You know, it’s pretty crazy,” you blurted out unthinkingly. “I’ve been talking to you my entire life, and I always thought meeting you would feel like meeting an old friend. But honestly, you’re a total mystery to me right now. Maybe it’s because of the memory loss, or maybe other people feel this way, too.”

“No, I know what you mean,” Jungkook responded quietly, trying to figure out how to express his thoughts properly. “It’s just…we have an idea of who our soulmate is in our heads. When they’re not exactly that person, it’s kind of confusing.”

“And I’m sure there’s a lot of stuff we still don’t know about each other,” you agreed. “Honestly, I tried to make myself seem a lot better than I am.”

“Yeah, me too,” Jungkook laughed, though it sounded a bit off. You brushed it off as embarrassment. “Didn’t want to disappoint you.”

You turned your head and looked up into Jungkook’s eyes. “You couldn’t have disappointed me Jungkook, really. I’m just happy to finally meet you,” you replied, giving him a small smile. “And it’s kinda paradoxical, isn’t it? Disliking your own soulmate. Weren’t we, like, made to like each other?”

“I guess,” Jungkook said, staring ahead unwaveringly. He pushed you down another hallway, which led to the cafeteria. You only knew because of the wafting smell of hearty food was growing stronger by the second. “But nothing’s ever that simple.”

“Don’t I know it,” you sighed, laughing a little in spite of yourself. You turned the corner into the bustling cafeteria, the noise of the crowds deafening compared to the near-silent, depressing halls of the hospital.

“Want to grab something to eat?” Jungkook asked, the heaviness of your conversation vanishing before you could even blink. “I was going to grab something for myself, too.”

“Sure, I’ll have whatever you’re having,” you agreed. Out of habit, you reached down to pat your pockets for your wallet. “Oh shit, I don’t have any money on me. Don’t worry about it, then.”

“It’s cool, it’ll be my treat,” Jungkook said. When you turned to look at him, he was giving you a lopsided smile.

“Then, is this our first date?” you asked cheekily, delighting in the way Jungkook’s cheek burned. You never expected that a guy like Jungkook, with this terrible fuckboy persona, would be so easily flustered.

“If you want it to be, sure,” Jungkook answered, coughing into his hand awkwardly. You just laughed, and Jungkook pushed you forward wordlessly.

Life at home after getting discharged made staying in the hospital seem like an amusement park. After being sentenced to bedrest by your parents–and having Jieun enforce it with an iron fist–you spent your days bored out of your mind.

In only one week, you had binge-watched three shows, reread all of your course notes (and they didn’t help you remember anything), and read more manga that you had ever read before in your entire life.

You were positively itching to get outside and do something, but what bothered you the most was that you hadn’t talked to Jungkook since your “first date.” When you had gotten home, you jumped to charge your dead phone, which miraculously hadn’t been destroyed in the accident. But when the device finally charged, you soon realized that you had no way of contacting Jungkook.

For some reason, his phone number wasn’t saved in your contacts. Even though Jungkook had said you had met before, apparently you hadn’t exchanged numbers. That seemed very strange to you.

When you asked Jieun about it, she just shrugged the question off. She said your situation was a bit complicated, but that she’d have to leave it up to you and Jungkook. But Jieun did say that she would mention it to him when she saw him at school next.

Sighing, you reached for your phone beside you. It was still early in the morning. Time had lost all meaning to you, since you spent every moment of the day trapped in your apartment. A bit bitterly, you watched your friends’ Snapchat stories and longed to return to normal daily life.

Suddenly, your phone began buzzing. You dropped it in surprise, and it landed on your nose. The impact stung, and you cursed, reaching clumsily for the phone. You saw an unflattering picture of Jieun illuminate the screen. Eventually, you were able to answer.

“Hey, what’s up?” you asked, rubbing your hand against your sore nose.

“Y/N, I’m so fucking stupid!” Jieun practically screamed. Wincing, you held your phone away from your ear. “I know you shouldn’t be moving around, but I need you to come to the university right now. I’m working on a group project that’s due in two hours and a bunch of our files got corrupted. I have some stuff backed up on my laptop, which I left at home like an idiot!”

“Don’t worry, I can bring it to you,” you reassured quickly. “I won’t fall into traffic on the way there. It’s like a ten minute walk, so don’t worry.”

“Just don’t strain yourself, okay?” Jieun ordered, the panic still evident in her voice. “Don’t go to quickly and look both ways!”

“Hey, only I can make fun of myself,” you quipped, pulling yourself out from underneath the covers. “I’ll be over soon, I just need to get dressed.”

“Okay, see you soon. Thank you so much, Y/N,” Jieun said, and the both of you said your goodbyes before you disconnected the call.

You glanced down at your pyjama bottoms and at the thick cast over your right leg. Changing pants would be a battle for another day. Unsteadily, you stood up and balanced your weight on your unbroken leg. You reached for the crutches leaning against the wall beside you and tucked them underneath your arms.

As quickly as you could (which was not very quick), you had thrown on a clean shirt and a jacket. Your hair was a mess, so you shoved on a beanie to disguise the tangled frizz. With Jieun’s securely laptop in your backpack, you began the trek to school. Suddenly, the journey seemed incredibly long.

When you finally arrived on campus, you were panting lightly and sweating. You made your way into the music building, relatively unfamiliar with its layout. You detached yourself from one of your crutches and reached into your pocket for your phone. Quickly you sent Jieun a text letting you know you were here.

There were a few benches in the foyer, so once you hobbled over to them, you set your bag down lightly and placed your crutches against the benches. Flopping down, you discreetly tried to massage your sore armpits.

But you were glad to finally be out of the apartment. The fresh air made you feel infinitely better.

“Y/N?” a familiar voice called. Your head whipped around in the direction of the voice. Jungkook a few meters away from you, looking as dark and intimidating as ever. His wide-eyed expression kind of ruined the image though. “What are you doing here?”

“Jieun forgot her laptop at home,” you replied, pointing to the backpack at your feet, as Jungkook made his way toward you.

“Shouldn’t you be at home?” he questioned, stopping when he was standing in front of you. You craned your neck to at him properly. “Is it okay for you to be walking around so soon?”

“Please, don’t get started on that,” you groaned, squeezing your eyes shut. “My parents and Jieun are unbearable. I’ve been lying in bed doing nothing all week.”

“You know, that honestly sounds like heaven,” Jungkook joked. “I’m so swamped right now. I haven’t slept in days.”

You inspected Jungkook more closely. His eyes were ringed by purplish dark circles, but they were hardly noticeable. How unfair–he always looked good.

“Hey, why haven’t you talked to me all week?” you asked suddenly, narrowing your eyes at Jungkook suspiciously.

“I was meaning to call or text or something, but I don’t have your number,” Jungkook answered sheepishly, scratching the nape of his neck awkwardly. “Didn’t know how to ask for it, since you haven’t been around campus lately.”

“Why’s that, though?” you continued, glancing down at your feet. “I mean–you said we met before. Why didn’t we keep in contact?”

“W-well, we did meet, but it wasn’t a proper conversation,” Jungkook explained stutteringly. “It wasn’t under the most normal circumstances, but–”

“Y/N!” Jieun’s loud voice suddenly interrupted. She burst into the foyer, looking absolutely frazzled. Her hair was a mess, her eyes were bloodshot, and you were pretty sure there were coffee stains on her shirt. “Thank god!”

Your friend ran over to you and practically dove for your backpack. She grabbed her laptop and hugged it tightly against her chest.

“Thank you so much. I’m so sorry I made you come all the way here,” Jieun cried, sounding frantic still. “Are you okay? Sore anywhere? Go home right away, okay? You need to rest. And please don’t tell your parents!”

“Oh my god, I’m fine Jieun,” you whined. “I think I can handle walking for, like, two minutes.”

“I just don’t want anything to happen!” Jieun insisted, stomping her foot childishly. “We’re speeding up the recovery process by being extra careful!”

You rolled your eyes. “Whatever. Go work on your project and try not to fail.”

“I will,” Jieun replied. “I’ll bring dinner on my way home.” She turned, only spotting Jungkook for the first time. Her eyes narrowed and she frowned slightly. “Jungkook.”

“Jieun,” he replied, just as shortly.

You looked between the two of them, wondering why there was so much tension. It looked like they were having a silent conversation, and you hated not knowing what was going on. You had the suspicion they were hiding something from you–but for the life of you, you couldn’t figure out what, exactly.

Eventually, Jieun just nodded and strode away, leaving Jungkook with a tight expression. Visibly, you could see Jungkook try to shake away the tension, his jaw unclenching. When he turned back to you, his features were schooled.

“Give me your phone,” Jungkook said, reaching out his hand and smiling softly. “I’ll add my number.”

- Girl in Luv

Okay, so this one was a bit filler-y. Originally I had planned to make this one angsty too, but I figured you guys could use the respite. Also, it would have been like 4k words and it’s like 2:30AM and this girl needs to sleep. Anyway, stay tuned!! Thanks as always for reading, and I hope you all enjoyed. Your replies and reblogs/tags are so cute I read them all 💛💛💛💛

Basically, you’re the new crown princess of a country because your sibling abdicates from the throne over INSTAGRAM and… arranged marriage…etc. Anyway, this is just a short thing I wrote. I had to post. Thanks @nottodayjeon and @hayjeon for proofing and feedback.

“My approval ratings are down,” you huff, scrolling through the media summary your secretary had prepared for you as you walk into the kitchen. You know Yoongi will be here in the mornings, hovering over the pot of coffee he prefers to brew himself.

“Well good morning to you too,” Yoongi sniffs, frowning at the way you’re immersed in the news without even the smallest glance in his direction. He hands you a cup of coffee made just the way you like it (splash of milk, no sugar).

You take the cup with an absentminded “thanks” said in a soft tone, too distracted by the polling data showing a dip in approval after the news of your impending ascension to the throne was released. It hurt a little that a percentage of the people liked you well enough as a princess, but wouldn’t support the idea of you as an active, ruling queen.

“Put the tablet down. No reading the news until after you give me a morning kiss.” You nearly jump out of your skin when Yoongi sidles up behind you to kiss your neck softly. “Tablet. Down. Now.” And who are you to deny your husband when he orders so nicely?

the endless winter

how much longer do I have to wait
how many more nights do I have to stay awake
to see you
to meet you

Summary: Your whole life has been plagued by the sight of gray: cold and lonely and unbearably plain; you thought you were the exception to a system of fate and destiny that brought two people together. That is, until your favorite Kpop group undergoes their first international tour.
Pairing: Jimin | Reader
Genre: Fluff; Idol/Fan AU + Soulmate AU (the one in which colors get brighter and brighter than closer you are and fade into gray when they’re too far)
Word Count: 11,869
Author’s Note: This was an idea I originally had for Hopeless Hearts, but it didn’t feel right in comparison to what Hopeless Hearts has become now. I knew I wanted to write something for Jimin again so this idea came back to me with more details and it just felt… right.

ALSO thank you Katie aka @minsvga for reading my outline and basically letting me talk you through the entire plot and letting me update you whenever I hit different word counts.

.

You always thought you were broken—a failed outcome of a nearly flawless structure that has bounded and tied two people together since the very creation of human beings. You had heard of those special cases, of people who just saw gray their entire lives no matter how many oceans they covered and no matter how far they traveled, no matter if they searched the deepest corners or sought out the tallest mountains. You’ve heard of people in which distance wasn’t the problem—it was just them. Their existence had been doomed from the moment they were born, to live their life in monotone quality. Quite literally too, in fact. Knowing that there would be no one waiting for them on the other side as they slowly ventured through, never knowing a sunset or a sunrise or the grass—their life like an old film, classic and hazy and left behind.

For the first seventeen years of your life, the thought of just not having a soulmate was something that you didn’t necessarily think too deeply about. Some of your friends were of equal level to you, basking in the gray plaguing your line of sight. Albeit, there were a small handful who caught glimpses of red and yellow and blue, all of which were tinged in gray, during the duration of high school. And then there were an even smaller handful who were immediately gifted with the sight of the rainbow right out of the gate—their soulmates are the ones they end up going to prom with or are in the running for best couple in the yearbook, or other varying degrees of gross shit like that.

At a young age, the idea and concept of a soulmate, the concept of forever, was far too grand and far too wide to understand or grasp entirely. It also just seemed much too gross for you to want to understand. The thought that there was someone out there made just for you? Preposterous.

For the first seventeen years of your life, you didn’t really care. And you knew there were many others like you who shared that same belief system. No one wanted to have to settle down too early.

But none of you understood the true gravity of what it would be like to finally find your soulmate and the sensation of experiencing something you had been deprived of your entire life—henceforth you continued not caring, not knowing what you were missing out on in spite of everyone gushing endlessly about it.

Finding one’s soulmate has always meant to be a personal experience, something that could never be replicated or repeated—for a soulmate is supposed to provide as a ‘one and only’ occurrence; something that people could talk about yet not understand unless one had also uncovered the discovery of what would follow upon meeting a soulmate.

For the first seventeen years of your life, the art of ignoring those type of conversations shared between parents and girls who thought they were better than anyone else gradually started to become second nature to you. Yes, you could grasp that meeting your soulmate was going to mark a momentous occasion in your life, but was it really that important? You were going to meet him eventually, so what was the point of rushing through everything?

You were going to meet your soulmate eventually.

Right?

Pokeaniweek day 2

I gave the top spot to not just my favorite character in Pokemon, but one of my favorite characters of all time. My absolute queen: Misty.

Misty is why I love Pokemon. When I was a kid, there couldn’t have been a character more tailor made for me if they’d tried. I was a tomboy, she was a tomboy. I loved romance and pretty things despite that, she did too. I was a swimmer, she was a water type trainer/swimmer. I had reddish hair, she was a red head. I had a temper and was very bossy when I wanted to be, same for her.

Seriously, it was insane the level of similarity.

So to have the female face of something so popular be someone who was basically an animated version of myself…pretty huge.

And that doesn’t even begin to cover her character/role in the show.

Misty and Ash were the bane of each other’s existence. Their dynamic was absolutely hilarious in the 90s, and actually much more nuanced than any of us were capable of grasping as kids. I watch it now as an adult and I fall even more in love with the spirited girl who just wanted to prove herself. The girl who wanted to help, but didn’t really know how. The girl who could communicate just fine until something happened that unbalanced her and she retreated into sarcastic snaps and angry retorts (oh, am I projecting again? For real. Can’t. Stress. This. Enough. I AM Misty.)

But here’s the kicker. She got to grow up a bit. She learned how to communicate more effectively. Somewhere along the line she began to actually care about the crazy kid she followed around. She actually became the mom friend to some extent (the big sister friend?). She kept Ash, and even Brock really, grounded. And by the time she appeared in Hoenn and again in Kanto during Battle Frontier…she was this amazing girl. She was kind, but still snarky. She was gentle but still tough as nails. She was a confident and responsible gym leader, but still joked around with Ash and Brock.

I stopped watching somewhere in the middle of Johto, but I came back to it after a certain green haired lad I’ll discuss later reeled me back in, and somehow, shockingly, she managed to have grown and changed in a way exactly parallel to myself as I became a teenager…I just…gah.  She was so well rounded. I can’t understand how people just decide she’s nothing but angry and abusive. It physically hurts my soul. Look at this girl…

I just…I could go on for hours and hours, pages and pages about how much I love Misty, and how much she means to me personally, but I think I’ll leave it here. I wish they would’ve delivered on her potential as a character, and I’ll always be a little (okay, a lot) annoyed about that.

But hey, just remember, an all out offensive with water types is ALWAYS the best strategy. Peppers and bugs ARE totally nasty. (I actually love carrots lol). And being a tomboyish mermaid is the best way to be!

Period Pains

Peter Parker x Reader

Summary: Reader gets a visit from mother nature and Peter is there to save the day.

Word Count: 1,251

Warnings: Language (as always), period pain (?).

A/N: I apologize for my lack of posts. School has been weighing me down for the past few weeks. I’ll try and upload something new this week if I have time. Please let me know what you guys think! I decided to try someone other than Bucky, lol. Feedback really helps me understand what you guys like.

You know the day right before you get your period or a few days before and you totally veg out with unnecessary junk? That’s what you were currently doing. Sitting on the couch with a mini Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, oreo’s, candy, you name it. You tried working on some school work that was supposed to be due tomorrow, but for the life of you, you couldn’t keep a damn focus on anything.

Plopping down in your bed full of fluffy, warm blankets, you doze off into a food coma. However, the next morning, you would regret it all.

Why?

Your period.

“Really? I thought you liked surprises?” he fired back, walking casually to the front of the car, face mask open, holding his hands out to the side in mock surprise.

“Is the car the surprise?”

Under My Protection

Requested by anon: jared leto joker drabble 34 please and thankyou - haley

 Pairing: Joker X Reader

 Word count: 877

Drabble:  He creeped me out. I’m not gonna lie.

You and Harley have been best friends since you gave her shelter when Batman was after her. That was two years ago. Since then, she has been trying to drag you into her world. You can’t lie, you kinda like it. The loud music, the long nights and the expensive gifts she always brings you.

Right now you hear her, breaking in your apartment again. At 3 a.m. Groaning and tossing around, you hope she’s just looking for something. But of course not.

“Wake up! Wake up!” She swings the door open, making you jump on the bed and sit up. “Guess who you’ll meet tonight?”

“Who?” You ask in a sleepy voice.

“My ex.” Her bright smile doesn’t fade. Harley broke up definitely with the Joker.

The Joker. Like, the baddest of the bad. You never saw the man and you honestly don’t want to. It’s good to know that Harley finally got over him, and now they’re just partners in crime.

“I don’t want to meet him.” You push her away playfully when she jumps in your bed. “You can go and tell him I said ‘hi’.”

“No. You’re coming. Now go and put on that sexy dress I gave you.”

Arguing with Harley is useless, so you get up and take a quick shower. She gave you many dresses. All of them short and tight. So you choose the purple one, which isn’t so short but has a deep cleavage. For some reason, Harley loves your breasts and wants you to show them to the world. With a sigh, you leave the bathroom, just to put another smile on your friend’s face.

“That’s how I like it. Everyone on his club will stare at you.”

 “I know.”

The car is stolen, that’s obvious. When she stops, you can’t help but beg her to take you back home. But no. Harley drags you through alleys and them downstairs until the most ridiculous dance club you’ve ever seemed. Everything seems expensive, and these people seem to be very very rich.

“Holy shit. There are, like… People from the government here.”

 “Well, just don’t tell anyone.”

You’d answer, but Harley screams. She guides you throughout the endless tables and many half naked girls to what seems to be the backstage.

“He doesn’t live here, so don’t ask him that.” That’s when you notice that she’s knocking on a wooden door. Soon enough someone opens it.

“So you brought me a gift.” The man stares down at you, hungry eyes and a weird smile. The Joker is even scarier in person.

 “She’s not a gift. She’s (Y/N). Remember?”

“Such a pretty little thing…” When he allows you both to walk in, you pretend not to be surprised. Three dead bodies beside his huge desk, and lots of different guns on it.

“Now. Let’s get to business.” Harley says in a singsong voice.

“No. I want to get to know this friend of yours.” Joker sits on the couch, ignoring the men who come to drag the corpses to God knows where.

They both keep staring, waiting for you to say something.

“What? You’re a fucking villain, I don’t know what to say.” Rolling your eyes, you sit on his desk, not bothering to ask for permission. “This is insane. Three dead men? Seriously?”

“Oh, she’s so sweet, isn’t she?” Harley grabs Joker’s arm and shakes it. But his eyes don’t leave you until it starts to feel uncomfortable.

 “Yes, she is.”

His low voice sends shivers down your spine. Crossing your legs, you clean your throat, trying to make this weird sensation go away.

 “So. You two have business?”

“Yes. I actually have business with many people, as you can see.” Joker stands up, walking up to his desk.

Choosing to be smart, you jump to the ground, but when you step away from the desk, he stops right before you, blocking your way. His eyes are locked on yours, so you can’t help being a bit scared.

 “Let me…”

His cold fingers touch your chin, moving down to your neck and then your shoulders.

“I have dangerous people coming and I don’t want you anywhere near them.” Joker turns to face Harley, who’s still sitting there, a smile on her lips. “Take her home, Harley. She’s under my protection.”

Before you could say anything, Harley takes you by the hand and drags you out the damn club. You wanted to stay. To see those men, to see more of Joker.

Harley gladly drives you home through the dark and empty streets of Gotham.

 “Sooooooo. Did you like him?”

“He creeped me out. I’m not gonna lie.” You take a deep breath. She wouldn’t let it go. “But yes, I guess he’s not that… bad.”

“I knew it! I rather him to date you than any of those bitches.” She turns left, forcing you to hold onto your seat.

 “Okay then.”

“I’m not gonna be the only one breaking into your apartment at 3 a.m. now.”

You can’t help but laugh. This life isn’t for you, well, that’s what you tell yourself every night. But you have to admit: it does make you feel alive. Now you can barely wait for Joker to break into your apartment.

Pulse Part 3

Part 2

Genre: Fluff, angst
Words: 2,203
Pairings: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Warnings: Stalking
Summary: Soulmate AU in which one’s heartbeat becomes perfectly in sync with their soulmate’s once they meet.

“-A fiancée?” Natasha interrupted for clarification.

You nodded, taking a rather large sip of the red wine in your hand. “Why does this kind of shit always happen to me? I swear, God is out to get me.”

“Oh, don’t be so dramatic.” Natasha laughed. "You’re his soulmate, you’ll win him over.”

Sighing, you poured more of the alcohol into your glass. “I’m not so sure, Nat. You should have seen her, she looks like the love child of Megan Fox and Anne Hathaway. So not fair.”

“But you have one thing she doesn’t.” She teased.

“What?” You asked bitterly. “A stalker?”

“I was thinking more along the lines of your hearts beating in-sync, but that one is true, too.”

“So,” Kaylie carefully cuts through the silence. “Your mother’s name was Juniper?”

Scanlan smiles, and it’s something small and genuine. Something Kaylie has seen only enough times to count on her right hand. “Yeah,” he says, “it was.”

“Funny. That’s my middle name.”

The way Scanlan skids to a stop and nearly trips over his own feet is comical, and the look he fixes Kaylie with is even more so. “It is?”

Kaylie barks out a laugh, knocking their shoulders as she walks on. “Of course it’s not! I’m just messin’ with ya.”

As Kaylie walks on, Scanlan stands in place, staring at her blankly.

She halts in her tracks, 20 paces ahead of him. “It’s Waywocket!” Kaylie doesn’t look over her shoulder when she yells towards him, only turning her head slightly. She keeps on walking.

Scanlan blinks, and then his smile returns. Wider this time. He picks up his pace to catch up with Kaylie again, and runs through a mental checklist of all the things h wants to know about her.
