"I love you"
“God dammit, this is so infuriating!” Taylor threw her phone at the bed, landing with a thump on the mattress while a groan left her lips. She sighed, stepping outside to the balcony where she sat down on the sofa facing the ocean. She let herself calm down, breathing in and out. The ocean looked so peaceful, as opposed to the social aspect of her life. Why was everyone trying to knock her down? Did she have a target on her forehead? Why can’t everyone just leave her the fuck alone? Was she really that bad?
Upon hearing her, Tom entered the balcony finding her sitting there. He came closer, kneeling down in front of her and removing her hands from her face. “Hi.” He offered a smile and she tried to smile back but it came out too forced.
“What am I doing wrong, Tom? Am I that easy to hate?” She shook her head, letting herself show in front of him. “I’m so tired of this.”
“Hey listen, it’ll be fine I promise. I’m here for you.” He held her hands in his, his eyes full of sincerity and the corners of her lips turned upwards a tiny bit. She raised her hand up to his cheek, rubbing it.
“Thank you. You’ve been amazing lately and I don’t know how to thank you enough.” He already knew what was happening. Taylor had been like this ever since the phone call from Tree warning her of what was happening. Kim had released the videos of the phone call between her and Kanye, of course not the whole thing. It was all that was needed for the whole world to unleash the hateful words they were holding on her. And Tom was as supportive as he could. Calming her down, holding her hand and trying to make her laugh. He had been filming that morning but he was free for the whole afternoon and night so he could stay by her side.
“You don’t have to. I’m your boyfriend, Taylor and I…” He stopped himself. He loved her. Was he really gonna say that? She thought. Did he love her? They both stopped for second, staring at each other. “I love you.” Tom decided to put it out there. “I’ve fallen for you so hard and fast it has knocked the air out of my lungs. It’s absolutely crazy but…I love you. Maybe I knew that from the second I saw you. It was like Romeo and Juliet perhaps. As soon as your eyes met mine I wanted you and I loved you. And it doesn’t matter what the world thinks. Or what people do to try to destroy you. I’m here and I’m in love you with and I will never leave you. I will always stand with you, no matter what.” He smiled, a smile that was so beautiful it made Taylor’s day brighter.
She smiled as she uttered the words. “I love you. Oh man I love you.” She giggled adorably and leaned in to press her lips to his. She pulled away abruptly and looked at him as his expression was one of pure confusion and she laughed. “Fuck it. I don’t care about any of this. I’m so done. I’m done caring about them and about people who hate me. I don’t care. Oh my god, I have an amazing life. I’m in love with you and I’m so happy that I am. I love you.” He chuckled upon hearing her words pressing his lips against hers again, this time a little more passionate. When he pulled away, she could swear she could see the love in his eyes and she was sure he could see the love pouring out of hers.
“Are you okay? Tell me honestly please.” Tom had moved from where had been kneeling to next to her with his arms wrapped in a warm embrace around her. He pressed his lips gently to her head and she leaned in.
“I’m…I mean this sucks, I won’t lie. It’s terrible but I’m good. I can move past this. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be. And I know for a fact that none of those people that are hating on me online know me so I’m good. It’ll blow over soon.” She smiled softly, looking out at their view and he smiled looking at her.
“That’s incredible. I’m so happy that you feel that way.” He grinned, kissing her cheek. Taylor giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck and joined their lips together once again. “I love you.”
“Say it again.” She chuckled, pecking his lips.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Tell me what you think!
